SCIENTIST COULDN'T HIDE HIS DISAPPOINTMENT AFTER DISCOVERING ANCIENT PH...
youtube
There are so many things that irritated the heck out of me about this video. First of all nothing surprises me about people who believes in scientific racism which pins Black Indigenous People as inferior with low IQ's and if anyone believes in this rubbish is the ones with the low IQ.
Even this Black African who is presenting the video uses the word minority, what the heck did that come from? How do you get a minority out of humans in the first place unless you too believe in race science?
What is wrong with some of the Black People on earth today? Do they not do any type of research on their own? Do they even study anatomy and nature? This is very easy to realize that there's no separation of humanity no way possible can we even try to do this and be correct.
If you believe in this you are broadcasting to the world that you are a complete idiot and have no idea of how our natural world function. You missed the elementary biology class on mitosis and meiosis and how sexual selection works along with reproductive life. Yes, you will have to be the dumbest mother fucker on the planet to believe in that shit of being a different species of humans.
Only people who are this dumb are shit people who calls themselves white and those shit people who believes in creationism, no one else on earth can be this stupid.

There is a way that conservative folk gripe and grouse and label anything that is pleasurable "childish"...and, in doing so, make adulthood solely a domain of misery and toil for the mere "moral" vibes of it. 🙄
Yet, that is "moral", HOW?
We already KNOW that getting pleasure from harming someone else is an asshole move that should ABSOLUTELY be stopped.
Such a person is violating their victim's autonomy.
That is something that should not be accepted in any decent or valid society.
So, what in the world is wrong with pleasures that harm no one else?
And, stopping someone from gaining pleasure from harm or pain that they choose for themselves with fully informed consent is a violation of what is THEIR choice to make.
People have (or at least, should have,) autonomy.
This puritanical drive towards demonizing pleasure and joy and carefree vibes at nearly every opportunity is a great way to create a system and a society that strives only to dominate, suppress, and control people...rather than what we should be doing: maximizing choice, options, freedom, and well-being for all.

* also included the cordeliers, who split from the jacobines in 1791
absolutely self-indulgent poll. but. anne rice had lestat turned into vampire and out of france by 1793 (he turned louis in 1791). however, the tv series will have to do lestat in the heart of revolutionary events in paris.
so, based on what we've seen in two seasons and the books, where would you place the brat prince?

Ashley: You don't believe in god? 🤨
Me: Aw, how sweet
Suvi: Just a constant reminder of the divine intelligence behind all creation
Me: Hello, human resources!?
#not entirely fair that I don't judge so harshly for Ashley's comment being so out of pocket. But typically in me1 you can respond in kind#(I don't remember what Ashley's response to you saying no is)#and it feels made to be a what the fuck Ashley moment. Not sure if it is. Ashley also never brings up religion again#Suvi probably bugs me more because it's in a later game so I'd expect better. I get fake alien religions are easier to explore#but you know. Thane and Samara are examples of actually religious characters who don't just bring up their religions#once and only once so they can put you on the spot and act accusatory. thus making a moment that leaves no one looking good#Suvi being a scientist and insisting unprompted that the universe being beautiful is self-evident proof of a divine intelligence#Like she's expecting you to agree with her. Then immediately getting defensive if you lightly don't. Is a bit more annoying#she also brings it up later in ways that feel weird and I don't like.#It's a very weird type of agnostic vibe where she has an almost catholic insistence that there is a Creator of some sort#but she's like 'who knows what our creator is like' and seems to have no real moral beliefs attached.#there's probably a word for that besides agnostic. She's a scientist who believes in creationism and apparently little else#I probably also feel weird about it because I come across that sort of person more often and they're weirdly hostile towards atheism#and it hurts more because I expect them to be more understanding of my own position

Today on random musings that hit me through the day, I offer you: I feel like TPB would've resonated a lot more with me had it been the exact same story but from Cloudtail's perspective.

my belief system basically amounts to 'i don't know if this is true and i never will, but i'd like it to be'. is god genderless? they are to me. do they love everyone regardless of who or what they are? they do to me. is there an afterlife where everyone who dies and wasn't an evil person in life can be happy? there is to me. if there's not to you then have fun living a less fun spiritual life ig

😅 It would probably blow an evangelical's mind to learn that some scientists have caught evidence of fetuses touching themselves in the womb.
Humans evolved with the potential (not the certainty) of procreation. Sexuality is inborn, not taught.
You can't "teach" or "influence" someone to be queer any more than you can "teach" or "influence" someone to be cishet.
You can try and force them.
If you're an asshole.
But it will be for nothing cause it's not gonna work.
What needs to be taught are the definitions and knowledge that will allow the child to understand themselves better, and eventually, navigate their inborn sexuality more safely and happily.
And so, all these religious conservatives do by denying children honest, open, and age-appropriate sex education; is stunting their development as a person at least, and endangering them with enforced ignorance at most. 🤷🏾‍♀️
(Kind of explains why child abuse in religious groups and regions are higher than non religious ones.
The abuser takes advantage of the child's lack of knowledge, as well as their indoctrinated shame, fear, and silence around the topic of sex, in order to deceive and manipulate the child into staying quiet).

[ID: Two screenshots from the Substack article linked above that read:
WV prison finally releases atheist inmate denied parole for refusing to profess Christianity It's a massive victory for an atheist prisoner taking on the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation Hemant Mehta Nov 15, 2023
In an incredible victory for (non-)religious freedom, a prisoner who was forced to participate in religious activities in order to be eligible for parole has won his case and been released from jail. Even better, the prison has changed its policies so no future inmate is placed in a similar situation.

So, another of the Four Horsemen of New Atheism down, and somehow even though he died almost half a month ago, I didn't hear anything about it until beginning to listen Sam Harris's new podcast episode which just dropped tonight.
