PRIDE DISCOURSE ITINERARY 2025
Someone starts “no furries at pride” and is relentlessly mocked by half the site.
Another wave of porn bots hits tumblr, stealing from popular hornyposters.
The creator of some popular flag is revealed to be violently racist. This alone does next to nothing, but when they made a slightly disparaging comment towards nonbinary people, the flag is dropped. Anyone who keeps it in their icon gets a death threat.
A new LGBT-friendly cartoon comes out. It gets canceled within days.
Photomatt retweets from Musk.
A fourteen-year-old misunderstands queer history in a poorly worded comment and is immediately told “kill yourself” by a popular trans funnywoman blog, age 24-30. Flame wars erupt on both sides. The teenager deactivates within a week.
The new scapegoat of the year: Feminine trans guys, for “appropriating womanhood” (????)
Gerard Way comes out as a trans woman and immediately loses half of the MCR “bandom” as a result. They’re mostly mad about losing their yaoi.
Forcemasc is deemed problematic.
“If you point out a trans woman being racist, you’re a transmisogynist and a social murderer, and should be blocked & reported by everyone” becomes a valid and frighteningly common position amongst the transfem separatist crowd.
”Are the trans staff members class traitors”, the longest reblog chain in the history of tumblr, crashed from lag after 22,358 consecutive contributions,
Someone makes a discourse gofundme and gets almost $5,000 within a week. It gets spent on weed.
Disney’s first gay character. Again.

People that do that should also try this fun game: go outside
[context: this trend of calling nsfw art 'slop' or 'goonerbait']
Sure! I just think its really disrespectful!! It's one thing to call your own artwork that, which I also think is incredibly problematic to begin with.
For one, it's normalizing this really toxic trend of viewing porn as bad, theres an inherent negativity in it. Calling it 'slop' is self-evident. Calling it 'goonerbait' is on the same level as the idea of someone 'resorting' to doing furry porn commissions or something. Breaking news: people like sex!! wow!!!!!
and also, its another thing that I'm noticing this amongst people who are on the younger side (ie, minors, under 20s) who use those terms to aggressively shame porn artists. Call me an old cat that yells at cloud, but I think its really bad that theres a very loud minority of younger people acting like this. Just the other day I saw a very popular post made by a minor who was shitting on a novice artist who was trying to learn how to draw nsfw.
I was happy to see the person being attacked was taking it in stride, but not everybody can handle negative attention like that!! and if you're a minor on twitter making posts like that, try staying in your lane and not interacting with people in adult spaces. its really cruel and gross to see.

Dragon of Time - one of the largest dragons to be seen in the skies. It is said to be the oldest of its brothers, having been reported to exist in many eras, and was therefore named after its timelessness. Though some doubt whether it truly is a good dragon, for the sharp markings on its face and whitened eyes give off the impression of something dangerous
Wolf Dragon - named for its furry wolf-like appearance. It only breaks the cloud barrier at dusk and roams the night, it’s somber howl becoming a folklore for travellers in forests. Legends say that it was once a friend of the Twili, and it circles around the Arbiter’s Grounds every night
Warrior Dragon - named for the metal plating that covers its back, and for how it only seems to appear before soldiers of pure heart/soldiers down on their luck. It is said that seeing the Warrior Dragon will bless the person with strength and courage, and if a feather from one of its blue whiskers were to fall before a captain they would be ensured victory
Winged Dragon - the rarest of the dragons, for it favours staying above the clouds and roaming the islands in the sky. Unlike most other dragons, it is more bird like, being covered in crimson feathers and sprouting large wings. It’s red feathers sometimes fall to the surface, and if spotted by a romantic couple they are blessed with eternal love. Some researchers argue that the Winged Dragon is even older than the Dragon of Time
Fairy Dragon - this dragon is often seen floating above Fairy Fountains, and it is said that new fairies are born from this dragon’s scales. It too has wings, but these ones are shaped like a butterflies. Some ancient texts read that parts of fairy dragon can heal even the most fatal injury or sickness, and a great evil once sort out the dragon in order to revive their leader
Long-Eared Dragon - an unusually pink dragon, adorned with golden horns and claws and most notably long rabbit-like ears. It soars around the entirety of Hyrule, but more sightings of it have been recorded around Eventide Island than anywhere else. If you are lucky enough to get close to this dragon, there is a sense of great calm in the air around it, as if the spirit within once fought many hard battles and now roams the sky in peace
Wind Dragon - a brilliant blue dragon that is a popular legend amongst seafarers and fishermen. It roams the coastlines, and is even said to sometimes dwell under water as there are stories of large draconic shadows being spotted beneath boats. If you ever feel a sharp breeze steering your sail away from your destination, it is most likely the Wind Dragon warning you of danger. However, the Wind Dragon is also often blamed for dangerous storms
Rainbow Dragon - a remarkably smaller and yet colourful dragon with iridescent scales. It is said to harness the powers of wind, fire, water and the earth combined, making it quite difficult to approach. Legends spread amongst blacksmiths say that if one were to meld one of its scales to a weapon the weapon would become unbreakable, and in an age where smithing is becoming a lost art many pray that they’re lucky enough to see the dragon
Dragon of the Wild - perhaps the most commonly reported dragon, for some claim to have known the spirit that resides within. It flies low around the entirety of Hyrule, but will then also return to the skies to fly with the Light Dragon. Over recent years it has become a staple sight in Hyrule and stories of the dragons origins have been passed down from generation to generation. It has become a commonly worshipped symbol for adventurers and soldiers alike

Chapter 1 - Hal didn’t get spooked easily.
Hal walked through the halls of the Watch Tower, the silence of the comfortably cool halls welcoming. The tower itself had many rooms for the various heroes to live in, but despite the ample room and pretty sweet amenities, which included not paying rent, the majority chose to live down on earth, himself included. Many stated that it was much more comfortable to be amongst the people, the whole work-life balance that has become popular as of late. While others placed the blame on the rumors of the place being haunted. In Hal’s opinion, what establishment didn’t have those kinds of rumors? In their line of work, where anything was possible, he wouldn’t be surprised if the place actually was. It didn’t bother Hal in the slightest, he enjoyed scaring the others with made up ghost stories. It was fun giving the tower a bit of a mythos, especially when a certain speedster got so spooked. He reached the door leading to the monitor room, tapped in his code and the door slid silently open. The room was dark, darker than normal, the florescent lights unable to penetrate it. A set of glowing, hazy, green eyes stared back at him, no pupil, no white, only green. Its unfocused body leaned over the hunched figure who sat in front of the monitors, its wispy arms wrapped around the figure’s neck. Hal felt his heart sink into his stomach, felt like the oppressive darkness would swallow him, felt the tinge of something, other, stain him. “You’re late.” The sitting figure turned toward him, voice like thunder, white eyes too bright. Hal let out a very unmanly scream, his focus on the horned monster in front of him. Green eyes forgotten. The monster stood, stalking toward him. The paleness of his muzzle left him shaking, did he smell blood in the room? Without much thought he surrounded himself in a spherical green shield, his body ready to bolt. No, he should fight, running sounded better. The hair on his body stood on end, his bladder ready to let go. The figure let out a grunt, one of disapproval, familiar. “What’s wrong with you?” Batman said, grumpily. Right, he was in the Watch Tower, he was here to relieve Spooky. This was Batman, not some monster, just some human, well he claimed to be human. He let the sphere dissipate and clutched at his chest trying to get his breath back. He looked around the room, it was well lit, the monitors doing their monitoring and Spooky was just standing there in all his broad shouldered, thin waisted, menacing demeanor. Yeah, there was nothing strange here, except for the bat themed furry. “Nothing.” Hal said, clearing his throat. Batman stared at him for an uncomfortably long time. Hal did his best to look nonchalant, the cold sweat at his back slowly drying, trying to control his slight trembling. No way in hell would he give Spooky the pleasure of knowing he got scared of him, no surprised, he got surprised. Batman grunted and walked passed him. Hal shivered, he could swear he heard something laugh, could feel cold fingers touch his cheek in passing and see a dark tendril trailing behind the black clad man. It was probably just his cape. Yeah, he must have been more tired than he thought, imagining things, jet lagged from his trip to Oa…the one he took three weeks ago. He texted Barry, asking him to join him at the tower, he didn’t want to be bored during his shift. That’s all it was, not the possible darkness coming to life. Hal didn’t get spooked easily.
Let me know what you think. I get super excited seeing comments, a bit nervous too, but it brings me joy.
I really enjoyed typing up Gotham possess so hopefully this one is just as fun!
FYI: I'll start adding the chapter in the title to my posts to make it easier to find.

I am genuinely scared that once AI starts officially and somehow legally stealing art from artists on Twitter to feed into Elon Musk's AI company that there will be no more spaces for LGBT people to exist online. I'm talking about NSFW art, NSFW writing, discussions about kink and BDSM and leather, advice about transitioning and surgery and STD testing, resources for homeless LGBT youth, comics and animations and stories about queer love. The internet loves to hate gay sex. They demonize us, humiliate us, infantilize our bodily autonomy and choice and the moment you bring up anything relating to your own sexual experiences you're now a target for ridicule and shame. We are not profitable. We are not family friendly. We are "inappropriate" for normal people, and across every single social media platform we are banned. Our discussions about the basic human experience of sex expressed in ANY WAY are eventually banned. Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, Youtube, Tik Tok, Deviant art, the restrictions and requirements and borderline threats from Patreon. As much as we've all hated it, Twitter has been a final stand. It's a place for furry art and gay porn and weird kinky fanfiction and BDSM. There's a community of people who exist together online and nowhere else. And people don't care that we're losing it, yet again, because they want people to like us. They want people to approve of us, to accept us. They want to be palatable for a straight audience, for a heterosexual society that has only barely begun to tolerate us out of necessity and the turn of deemed popular opinion. It's the internet mob mentality that crucified trans youth as "transtrenders" out of fear that they themselves would be targeted next. It's the accusations against drag queens being inappropriate for children. It's the LGB without the T because they fear they will be next. If they could just package us into something respectable, maybe the rest of the world wouldn't hate them so much, right? Get rid of the "bad" gays and suddenly our parents will love us again. Show them they're wrong, we're not pedophiles and rapists and groomers like they've been accusing us of being for centuries, we're NORMAL and GOOD and PURE, we like Heartstopper, not Yaoi! We don't fetishize gay men, we don't sexualize our trauma! We don't even LIKE sex! See, we think sex is immoral and shameful and wrong just like you. Will you love us now?
The truth is they will never love us. They will never want us. They will never accept us. The more we fight for our rights, they more they will try to take them way. The more we fight amongst ourselves, the more they will try to divide us.
I probably sound insane talking about niche queer Fandom spaces like some kind of gay revolution, but the ability to be unapologetically gay and trans and gross and weird and find a community of people you can be with who are all like you, who are working through that trauma together, who you meet online and fly out to visit in real life, who you love: It matters. It matters so much that they keep trying to take it away from us. I don't really know what the future holds here, I'm just rambling my anger onto the only platform that actuslly gives a shit about the artists on it. I just want the young people in the community to understand that this IS a community. And it matters.

Furry HRT comics have been something my brain kinda constantly returns to over the last... since people started making them, and so just like anything else I'm really invested in, I feel like I need to analyze them as a phenomenon a little bit.
In some ways, I feel like the most popular formats of these comics are informed by a traditional or uncomplicated view of medical transition. Every character is presented as being able to get an appointment pretty simply, and all live in proximity to their endo. Their initial appointment usually sucks, but characters get what they're looking for and generally don't experience any more roadblocks. The meds people take are always compatible with them, and do not cause any unexpected or adverse side effects.
There's also the assumption in many of these comics that transition has a definite "end". There exists a point where a character is "done", more or less, which isn't accurate to transgender experiences and pushes some of the harmful narrative perpetuated by the medical system. This structure, as well as the fact that furry HRT generally functions more quickly than transgender HRT, is helpful to the format of the stories as short-form narratives, as it helps create a satisfying conclusion.
This is all great for what the format and narratives seem to be trying to convey. Even in amongst the body horror which is common to the narrative, which is in itself useful for exploring how something many view as horrible or uncanny (such as gender transition), they are stories about trans joy. They're about some of the adversity we face, finding happiness among that adversity, and sharing in it with our communities. They're also about finding an authentic self through a medical process that isn't seen in reality, and how regardless of how strange people find something, happiness and self love are what is most important.
But also, when I reflect on these narratives, I sometimes struggle to see myself in them. I'm a person who has spent her entire time medically transitioning dealing with shitty, non-fantastical roadblocks; and it's never the fault of a shitty doctor. Prescriptions take a long time to deliver, insurance doesn't wanna cover it, drugs don't work properly (or sometimes too well, and my doctor starts thinking I have a tumor in my brain), that kind of stuff.
And part of why this bums me out is that there's still so much joy there. It takes more work to love oneself when you spend a month or two off for every three months on, but it's a beautiful thing when you do. There's a whole side of the community engaging with things like DIY HRT, helping and looking after one another even when the medical system won't. There's also people microdosing HRT, either because they're unsure how they feel about it, or there's something in the "in-between" that feels right for them.
Of course artists should put to the page the stories that they want to tell. This post honestly was helping me do the same thing by orienting my thoughts. I'm just yearning for stories that feel a little bit closer to the life I've lived and noticing trends that feel reminiscent of the ways the system hurts us. I love and appreciate every single one of these stories and I hope people don't stop making them - there's so much uniquely trans joy to be had in them. I guarantee this isn't the last of what I have to say about the topic; there's too much here worth celebrating and reading closer.

Doing the Hatsune Miku trend, except she’s different girls I went to high school with.
From left to right we got; Rich girl Miku, Scene Kid Miku, Furry Otaku Miku, and Varsity Cheer Miku
This isn’t to make fun of anyone, it’s just a silly post. Headcanons for each Miku below!
Rich Girl Miku has an instagram and posts on there all the time. She goes on vacations to a summer home in California and holds the wildest parties. She’s super popular amongst the student council and has been crowned homecoming queen in her junior year.
Scene Kid Miku has a rep for looking like a bad girl but she’s actually really nice. Still uses MySpace for social media and got into tumblr thanks to Furry Otaku Miku. Has a huge collection of emo music. Likes to mix music after school, especially Vocaloid. ;3
Furry Otaku Miku has gone to furry and anime conventions with some friends in her anime club. Her Fursona is a cat wolf hybrid and her favorite video game is Sonic Adventure 2. She’s seen as too weird by most and loves to draw. Also part of the LGBT club.
Varsity Cheer Miku is secretly the most gossipy, she knows the tea about everyone. Besties with Rich Girl Miku. Not only is she in cheer; she’s also a flag twirler for the marching band and the modern dance club. She’s a twitter teen and in a more modern setting, she’d be on tiktok or visco.

It all checks out.
So among all this conversation about women looking too manly and how female characters should be designed, I've been keeping quiet on my own personal bugbear.
Monster Girl designs.
I HATE that monster girls are more girl than monster.
It's always 70% woman/girl and 30% monster. Barely enough to look like an actual monster and more like cosplay, like all the female monsters are just humans wearing sexy costumes.
Then there's Ivy from Deadlocked.
Ivy is the perfect monster girl character design.
Let me tell you why.
First off. They gave Ivy a wonderful voice.
youtube
As Max from Hotdiggedydemon once said, "The voice of the character IS the character" And we are set up on Ivy's personality where feminine aspects are detected in multiple ways.
Meanwhile, she is a gargoyle, which is a subcategory of reptile, with the gimmick being that it's a monster golem.
Cool, but not a popular trope.
Then again, dragons dominate the reptile group of the furry community. Don't believe me?
Here's a pie chart!
Tumblr media
This is part of a larger conversation regarding the homogeneous nature of furry artistic expression.
But I digress. They stuck with a uncommon creature type and then they committed to it with Ivy having no breasts and being ugly.
In fact, Ivy has a similar, goblin like body type as Lexington from Gargoyles
But here's the thing. Gargoyles was a very successful cartoon series so you would think that it has thousands of tags on a gallery site like e621 BUT it's only a thousand less than the Gargoyles general tag (meaning that most of that tag is just that one tv show) but amongst all the characters in that show (that were regularly occurring gargoyle characters)
Ivy is roughly as popular as most of them.
Here's another chart.
Tumblr media
Ivy is slightly more popular than Demona.
For reference, here is Demona.
Tumblr media
Here is Ivy
Tumblr media
Isn't that a fascinating dichotomy? Demona ticks basically every box on being a traditionally attractive character while being visually conservative (can't be too sexy in a children's cartoon), but people are as attracted to her as they are Ivy from deadlocked.
I think it's better creatively to abstain from what comes naturally and try something more experimental. I feel like just because you can draw everyone with a human shaped face, a human head of hair, and stonking great titties, that you should. Sometimes you shouldn't.
But that's just my opinion.

It's always fascinating finding out people have us blocked that we have never interacted with. Overall, I like to think we've never been antagonistic towards anyone in tags. Never attacked anyone. Never harassed. We've been very civil, even in our disagreements (that I recall at least). We have a few side blogs, and not many people have the main account blocked, so I always find out only after I go to make a comment and then see what accounts are greyed out. Silly little bonus feature of side blogs.
So
Is it because we sometimes have syscourse?
Is it because we are endogenic or identity as mixed origin?
Is it because we support all forms of plurality?
It's an amusing game. People may block for so many reasons, but those are the three main things we can think of. It's particularly amusing when people love or agree with things on our side blog but apparently hate this account. Extra funny.
If it's because people think we are toxic or out to get systems and corrupt singlets and poison traumagenic systems, then I feel quite awful for someone living in such a fearful and distorted outlook on life and others. Well, if that was the case, then why is our popular side blog not blocked? That blog is all of those things and very loud about it. But also, my partner is a DID system. I am very, very aware that multiplicity is not a silly little game. To say I spread misinformation and am bad for CDD systems blows my mind when I spend every day supporting one. What happens on Tumblr is pointless at the end of the day because what *really* matters is the support and understanding I give to them. We are a living example of how STUPID syscourse is between endogenic and traumagenic systems. Get the fuck off of social media and actually spend time supporting eachother instead of fighting.
Oh! Mayhaps it's our age. It's always interesting when it's our age. I promise we are not creeps and are quite safe to be around. Siblings, work, friends, and online communities have made me very aware of what is appropriate and how to coexist amongst a wide age range of people. I wanted to be a teacher once, and still would love to be an elementary art teacher. I promise I don't bite.
Maybe it's our fictives. I know some people cannot stand their sources or them as individuals. Which again is quite sad. Ashe and Alastor are both amazing people. I dont think I've met a single person who didn't like Ashe once they got talking with her (minus like two assholes that were ultimately voted as assholes by the entire server lol). I point her out because she's been here the longest and I owe her a lot so yeah I kinda play favorites a bit. Because I honestly love her. I say this with all the love for Al and the newest member. They aren't hurt by me saying that. They get it. Honestly, I don't think Al cares enough to be offended.
Maybe it's because I'm a furry. People always hate on furries. But that's okay. People hate on anyone who is different from them. Its why the furry, queer, and alterhuman community are so tight-knit. I'm just a silly fox in the end.
Is it because I'm critical of behavior and use of terms by people who kff or are transid? Is it because I'm thiiiiis close to being that "awful" trans guy that would still classify himself as a lesbian if only I could stop shifting gender representation every few years?
Is it because I'm working through trauma and people think that suddenly makes me being endogenic a lie? Is that the proof that people need to hate me? You hate systems with trauma and you hate systems without it. There's no winning.
Is it because I promote daemonism? *GASPS*
I'm not mad at being blocked. The internet hates and blocks people for so many reasons. I block a specific group of people every time we see them in the tags. I do it because I TRY to live by the motto if I have nothing nice to say I shouldn't say it at all. I also apply this to thoughts. If I see posts that constantly make me think shitty things about people and they aren't actively harming me or the people I care for, I block them. Because placing that into the universe is kinda fucked, even if they never would know about it.
I don't NEED people to like me. But I'll admit it's been a HUGE hurdle in my life. Trying to not care about what others think about me has always been a major issue growing up. I think everyone and anyone can relate to that. There's a saying I try and keep to and its how I'm going to end this post. [GRANTED this post has been an intoxicated, headache fueled rant at 2 in the morning. We all know how things get around 2 and 3. That's when shit gets fun (no it really doesn't I just want to sleep please) ]

Floofs with Fury: A Deep Dive into the World of Livestock Guardian Dogs
Tumblr media
Forget your average pedigreed pooch. Forget the pampered pups who spend their days lounging on velvet cushions and perfecting their begging skills.  Livestock guardian dogs (LGDs) are a different breed entirely. These magnificent creatures are more like living security systems with fur –  loyal companions with a fierce protectiveness that runs deeper than a sheepdog's love for a good herding session.
From Humble Beginnings to Furry Guardians:
The history of LGDs stretches back centuries, a testament to the ingenuity of farmers and shepherds seeking natural solutions to protect their precious livestock.  From the vast plains of Central Asia to the rolling hills of Europe, these dogs evolved alongside their charges, developing an instinctual bond with the animals they guarded.  Think of them as the original "good boys" (and girls!), earning their keep through unwavering loyalty and a willingness to stand their ground against any threat.
Forget Guard Dogs, These Pups are Living Security Systems with Fur
Looking for a canine companion who goes beyond fetching sticks and mastering "sit"?  Then set your sights on the world of livestock guardian dogs (LGDs). These aren't your average Fido next door – they're majestic floofs with a fierce loyalty and a resume that would make James Bond blush.  Think of them as living security systems with fur, patrolling your pasture like giant, loyal bodyguards.
Forget the high-pitched yipping of a Chihuahua – LGDs communicate with intimidating barks that could rival a grumpy foghorn.  Their watchful gaze is enough to make even the most determined coyote think twice about a midnight snack. But here's the twist – these protectors with a booming voice have a heart of gold.  They'll cuddle with the sheep they're sworn to defend, seeing them not as dinner, but as part of the family (a very woolly family, that is).
LGDs come in all shapes and sizes, from the colossal Great Pyrenees with their cloud-like fur to the nimble Anatolian Shepherd with their watchful amber eyes.  No matter the breed, they all share a deep-rooted instinct to protect their flock.  They'll sleep amongst the sheep, keeping a watchful eye out for any potential threats, from sly foxes to hungry coyotes.
So, if you're a farmer looking for a furry friend who can handle the night shift, or someone who wants a canine companion who's both a cuddle monster and a fearless protector, then an LGD might just be your perfect match.  Just remember, with great cuteness comes great responsibility. These working dogs need plenty of space to roam and a clear understanding of their job description (protecting the flock, not chasing squirrels). But hey, if you can handle the occasional muddy paw print and a whole lot of fur, then an LGD might just be the perfect addition to your farmyard fam.
A Menagerie of Majestic Protectors:
The world of LGDs is a diverse one, with breeds as varied as the landscapes they patrol.  Here's a glimpse into some of the most popular (and undeniably adorable) furry guardians:
The Gentle Giant:  The Great Pyrenees, with their cloud-like white fur and calm demeanor, are gentle giants who inspire awe and a sense of security.  These colossal canines are as comfortable cuddling with lambs as they are facing down a wolf.
The Watchful Shepherd:  Anatolian Shepherds, with their amber eyes and a constant air of alertness, are natural watchdogs.  These agile athletes tirelessly patrol their territory, deterring predators with their imposing presence.
The Fearless Floof:  Komondorok, with their distinctive dreadlock-like fur, are a force to be reckoned with.  These courageous companions are known for their bravery and unwavering loyalty, forming an unbreakable bond with their flock.
The Pyrenean Powerhouse:  The Pyrenean Mastiff, a mountain dog through and through, is a powerful protector with a heart of gold.  These majestic creatures are known for their calm demeanor but possess a hidden strength that can intimidate even the most determined predator.
Beyond the Bark: The Unique Skills of an LGD:
LGDs are more than just intimidating barks and impressive size.  They possess a unique set of skills that make them invaluable partners for farmers and ranchers:
Guardian Instinct:  Bred for generations to protect livestock, LGDs have a deep-rooted instinct to see their flock as family.  They'll sleep amongst the sheep, goats, or cattle they guard, becoming an integral part of the herd.
Deterrence Over Aggression:  While they're certainly capable of defending themselves and their charges, LGDs typically rely on their imposing presence and booming barks to deter predators.  Their size and confidence are often enough to send any potential threat packing.
Adaptability:  From scorching deserts to freezing mountain ranges, LGDs have adapted to thrive in a variety of environments.  They're tough, resourceful, and capable of handling the challenges of life on the farm.
Bringing Home a Floof with Fury: Considerations for LGD Ownership:
While these majestic creatures are undeniably cool, LGD ownership isn't for the faint of heart.  Here are some things to consider before welcoming one of these working dogs into your life:
Space is Key:  LGDs are not apartment dwellers. They need ample space to roam, patrol their territory, and expend their energy.  Think wide-open pastures, not tiny backyards.
Training for Trust:  While instinct plays a large role, proper training is crucial for an LGD.  Socialization with livestock from a young age helps build trust and understanding, while basic obedience training ensures your furry guardian listens when you need them to.
A Commitment for Life:  LGDs are working dogs with a lifespan of 10-12 years.  Before bringing one home, be sure you're prepared for the long haul, both in terms of financial commitment and the time investment needed for training and care.
Beyond the Farm: LGDs as Family Companions?
While primarily working dogs, some LGD breeds can adapt to life as family companions, especially with proper training and socialization.  However, it's important to remember their strong prey drive and need for exercise.  They're not your average lapdog, and a fenced-in yard with plenty of space to roam is a must.
The Verdict: Are LGDs Right for You?
If you're a farmer or rancher seeking a natural solution for protecting your livestock, then LGDs are a fantastic option.  They're loyal companions, fierce protectors, and living testaments to the incredible bond between humans and animals.
A Watchful Protector: For The Progression Of The Ages
Mastiffs, gentle giants with ancient roots, come in various breeds. Loyal guardians with calm temperaments, they require ample space, training, and experienced owners due to their size and strength. Though some breeds have wrinkles, all Mastiffs offer a lifetime of devotion.

I was today year’s old when I learned of the “blankshipping commission drama” and while I haven’t been active in the Submas fandom for ages, I’m shocked that there even is drama about this artist in particular. They’ve been drawing intensely fetishistic NSFW for months yet a leaked commission is the last straw for the antis? Make it make sense. Either way, kindergarten shit like this makes me glad I’m not involved anymore (not to mention the lack of Submas fanfic that I enjoy).
Tldr; I hope the antis will leave that artist alone, even though it would’ve been better had said artist just been honest from the start instead of trying to appease the anti-crowd.
Right!? It's validation of everything I've been on about for the last year or two, the hypocrisy behind cherry picking the two 'unacceptable' stupid fetishes that make you an actual criminal that antis will threaten death upon. It's okay to subject the children to every other stupid fetish, but no incest or underage. All the popular artists know it's stupid, but they have to play the politics so the money train isn't jeopardized. Many of them have 'Pro shippers DNI' posted at the tops of their fat furry hermaphrodite Twitter accounts, and they most certainly have created a Blankshipping side account at one time or another.
Submas has been drying up, even amongst the Japanese. It seems like only a handful of artists are holding it up on the general tags, and they are all hoping Emmet shows up in the new Legends game because they are running dry on both shipping content and AUs. -Same with Volo, who has an impressive amount of fan art based on pretty privilege, but they have to give us more canon because there's only so many times people are willing to go over the same things over and over. It's probably an endless frustration in the pokemon fandom where they crank out new one-shot characters left and right, then immediately move on to something else.

wish and the star boy we never got is proof of my long standing theory that disney (and animation as a whole) needs to bring back cute boys. they stopped featuring them as much back when frozen came out to focus more on famalial love and i respect that. however, that was the tail end of an era where animated movies were almost always guaranteed to have one super cute boy. this was the thing that brought audiences in. i swear to god until i was like 18-19 if an animated movie had a cute boy, i and all my friends were there opening night. a movie could look like pure garbage and if a boy was cute we were there. and of course there are other factors like the other character's designs and music if it's a musical, but cool designs didn't go anywhere and i, as well as many people, can overlook a bad musical if the animated dude is pretty (quest for camelot is a movie that exists). like why do you think anime really became so popular amongst preteen/teenage girls? they'll outright tell you, just go in the tags. it's the cute boys. cute boys bring in audiences.
it's not sexism, it's not heteronormativity, it's not "teaching girls all they're good for is marriage" or whatever the fuck people were complaining about ten years ago when disney made the executive decision to step away from having cute boys and by extension started a trend of studios doing that; it's the simple fact that people, especially girls, tend to like cute animated boys. and yeah people like pretty and cute animated girls too but that's kinda the whole point of disney princesses. we don't even need cute boys as love interests, in movies like treasure planet and rise of the guardians there is no romantic subplot for either of the movies' cute boys. it's just cute boys doing cool stuff with other well designed characters.
i feel the overwhelming response of disappointment when the star boy concept art was released is proof that, at the end of the day, animation fans want more cute boys. and i agree. you wanna actually sell that shit to your main demographic of kids, specifically girls, aged 10 and up? cute boys worked every damn time for decades. it only became less prevalent in the 2010s when people decided we for whatever reason didn't need the cute boys and nixed them completely in an attempt to seem progressive and not "reduce" any girl protags to love interests. which is an awful way to refer to writing a love story btw, we need to work on that because that gets said every time this happens and it's weird people can't fathom a strong, independent girl who also has a boyfriend. and yes, yes it's better if she has a girlfriend but there is still a desire to see a cute boy character on screen. the best animated movies from the 90s-2000s all had them and everyone vividly remembers a time where that drawing was their husband or literally them. it's important for some weird reason for cute animated boys to exist and the star boy proves that these movies would do way better with cute boys.
and the "boy" in question doesn't even need to be human or whatever. you think zootopia sold because the trailers actually looked good? what about sing? god no. no matter how much i like those movies, the trailers made them look like trash, but the power of cute boys prevailed even when the "boys" are a fox and a gorilla.
ik this rant is long and it seems pointless but i feel like i cracked the code for why so many animated movies have been sucking harder than ever and it's because for almost two generations we had cute boys to soften the blow of a bad animated movie and now we have more evidence that they're actively making decisions to cause that. i said this about five years ago when i realized the majority of cute animated boys were furries or anime boys and now i see this star boy shit. and i'd been saying how ugly i think the star is for months beforehand too when merch started popping up.
i just feel like they could have avoided fucking themselves so hard if they just let the cute boy exist. i genuinely feel people would at least be more likely to see the movie but most people didn't even bother and the people who did say don't bother. but if a cute boy was there and they used his song as the trailer? we'd wanna know what this little magic man was about. we'd wanna see how things panned out between him and hero girl. and if it ended up being bad we'd all say "yeah but the designs were good" or some shit and disney would get that sweet, sweet centennial money. but that's not what happened because some moron somewhere decided girls don't want to see cute boys in their princess movies and a chain reaction started that won't stop until disney undoes it and gives us a goddamn cute boy. and that's not even a joke. that's my honest to god theory for how to save mainstream animated movies. we saw a glimpse of this with spider-verse. like those movies ate but a big draw for both of them was the fact that there was a cute boy for everyone to crush or project on. we need cute animated boys now more than ever.

my favorite thing about my status amongst furries is that I get respect, reverence even, but not popularity. I am placed upon my distant pedestal atop my hermit mountain so that my supplicants can do their pilgrimage to my 400-follower Twitter account.

Saw the reblog and needed to ask - omg Blu just anything about this tall boy! I will take crumbs for the price out- well crumbs! Gotta learn more about your bby ✨🙏
(Omg!!! Thank you for your ask HEHE
I‘m very excited to share some fun facts about Blu and am glad you seem to like him!!😌💥💖)
So…
Welcome to ep. 1 of:
✨Random Blu Facts✨
He grew up on a farm with loving parents and two younger sisters.
So although he lacks defined muscles, he’s still unexpectedly strong! Especially his arms and legs. (@tokamiart once said that she imagines him having ‚dad calves‘ and I 100% support that idea.)
Unfortunately, he’s a lazy piece of trash and absolutely hated caring for all the plants and animals they kept. In fact, when he was younger he sometimes wished to live in a big city.
He‘s a tryhard in Mario Kart and a horrible loser. (He may or may not have a few…unresolved anger issues.)
Thanks to his openness and extroverted nature Blu has always been quite popular amongst his peers.
If you don‘t stop him he will talk to you for hours on end. No matter how well you know each other. He will also turn out to be a great listener though, if you are someone he really cares about.
He has a soft spot for quiet people. He is great at noticing when someone feels out of place and will always go out of his way to make them feel comfortable.
He is a great cook, because he used to help his father make dinner for the family. In Night Raven College he enjoys exchanging recipes with Trey and learning more about baking too.
When his friends found out that he has a thing for beast men they started calling him a Furry. In the beginning it pissed him off, but at some point he just accepted it and started living his truth. ✊😼
In school he was always good at subjects that included discussion rounds. He just loves the satisfaction of someone having to give in and telling him that he‘s right in an argument. (The sass runs in his family, his sister is the same. Their arguments are intense, but very fun to watch.)
He is quite messy and bad at taking care of his things. His phone’s screens never last much longer than a few weeks before getting shattered completely.
Although he likes going out and talking to people he always needs some time to just exist, lay on the floor and stare at the ceiling. (He likes it even better when theres someone just as quiet existing next to him.)
It’s easy for him to fall for people, so he sometimes ends up having several crushes at once. As soon as he starts to seriously like someone, he will only have eyes for this one person though.
He has a tendency to fall for people who are confident and have their life together. He strangely likes feeling intimitated by them.
His favorite Pokemon is Maushold:
Tumblr media
(…ok this kinda turned out way longer than I expected lololol. Hope you don‘t mind!!😌💖)
