One thing that I felt unique about your writing is that, you never use y/n or ____ BUT the way you use name, (I hate when writer using name or she but put x reader) it just perfect you know? You still make us feel like it? like it is you, to be called byeol and diz, and B, it just everything (you can see my fav of yours is BD and OTTE) you never make us, reader to be left out? like this is us in the context and in the story. Thankyou <333
ahhh this is so lovely!! i actually have so many thoughts on character naming, and when i began to write reader inserts i absolutely knew i never wanted to write y/n, but i needed something --because who doesn't love the heartthrob saying their name in the middle of a heated row, or a bestie-to-luvr tenderly whispering it in the sanctuary of a darkened room?
personally for me i think names in and of themselves are really intimate. the way in which we address people signifies our closeness and ofc there are other ways we can do that, but we see it in BD with byeol & jk just insane he gets whenever he gets called koo - it's sparse, and it's rare, but it's only ever her and it always makes him a lil loopy <33
so with that in mind, i think it's important that the romantic leads have certain names (that aren't soppy pet names) to address each other by. it really scratches my brain - imagine idk bd!jimin calling B 'byeol', it just wouldn't work. DB on the other hand? just the right amount of teasing (and relates to an in-joke which again signifies their closeness without it reaching 'b' levels).
curiously obscure & specific nicknames are something i think i will always do!
#plus i just hate reading y/n#like if you read my stuff you know im heavy on the detail#and its cause when i read i don't wanna be given free will lol#tell me what im wearing!! gimmie those polyvore edits!! tell me exactly what im eating for dinner!#so if im confronted with y/n i read it literally as it is#i dont change it#and it always takes me out of the story a little#and yeah!!! sorry for rambling#i will talk about names for hours if you let me#ask

Top: Jil Sander Leather Tie-Neck Top ($4,590.00) | Jeans: AGOLDE Jeans (€ 70) | Ankle boots: Bocage TIAGO - Bottines à lacets en cuir Beige (135,00 €) | Handbag: Dorothy Perkins Tan Whipstitch Cross Body Bag (£25.00) | Earrings: Oscar de la Renta Cluster Button Brass Earrings ($470) | Hair tie: Jigsaw ELASTIC HAIR BAND (£4)
This week's featured Disney hotel is the Disney Davy Crockett Ranch at Disneyland Paris. As someone who has mostly visited Walt Disney World, the Davy Crockett Ranch reminded me of the cabins you can find at Fort Wilderness. The entire "hotel" consists of a series of cabins in a wooded area that is a 15-minute drive from the park.
I decided to create an outfit inspired by the natural environment of the area and the character after which the resort is named. Although I couldn't find a top that looked exactly like the one worn by Davy Crockett, this Jil Sander top is pretty close in terms of color and relaxed fit.
For bottoms, I opted for a pair of jeans that are perfect for exploring the wooded areas of the property. Speaking of exploration, one needs comfortable and practical footwear to explore the area, so I selected these Bocage ankle boots.
To complete the outfit, I added a brown handbag that is perfect for carrying anything you might need while walking around the woods or parks. I also included a taupe hair elastic to make a ponytail, taking the place of Crockett's famous raccoon hat. Finally, the earrings provide a small reference to the lyrics of the Ballad of Davy Crockett, where it is stated that he was born in the "greenest state in the land of the free.”
Overall, this outfit is a great way to enjoy the natural surroundings of the hotel while also paying homage to the character after which the resort is named. With comfortable yet stylish clothing and practical accessories, this outfit is perfect for exploring the wooded areas and enjoying the parks.

HONORA "NORA" GRAY: STYLE EDIT
so coming back to the fandom recently after being neck-deep in persona three (ninety-five hours y'all) has been genuinely amazing (i'm actually writing! tinker is an edit-or-two away from being complete!), so in honour of the various challenges going around for the peaky fandom, i thought i'd propose my own.
feel free to join in, in a wee style edit of your own for your oc's (modern, period or otherwise!) but don't feel the need to be as extra as i've gone about it, or even go about it the way i did (i've just got too much free-time at midnight cause my job has weird hours and i did years in the polyvore trenches so can bang these out in twenty). go about it however you please, if you do want to follow a template though then, links / guide below!
tagging to get the ball-rolling but absolutely feel free to ignore! @justrainandcoffee, @call-sign-shark, @cillmequick @peakyswritings & @evita-shelby (if i haven't tagged you, then still get involved if you want to!) this is just my sneaky way of getting to know everyone's oc's.
style edit: guide
shoplook: website | there's also the app which is what i use and i find it to have the closest polyvore interface of all the alternatives however, there is a membership but it's easy enough to ignore, just screenshot and crop the finished product in the edit as publishing it obliterates the quality.
if you want to do the 'cover art' of image one
picsart: website | again, also an app which i use. there's another membership option that's easy to ignore been using the app fine for almost ten years without it.
upload the image, go to effects, colours then colour gradient, select both swatches as black, and set the fade to '25' then click 'apply'. do the same again but select your own designated colours with the fade at '90'. then finally a '50' fade on blur and blur at '30'. feel free to muck about with the text, i just made the two gradient colours the font colour and added a stroke with a very faint shadow.
then 'next', 'save' and yer done!

…ok so this has nothing to do with anything but here’s some other not poll related Love Live-y things that I WANT to do but have no idea how to execute due to various reasons (in order of difficulty):
• Easiest: New ship tier list with nearly every ship (I tried to start making it last year and gave up halfway…it’d be pretty easy to restart, like literally the hardest part is just digging around for official pictures of the rarer ships so this is by far the most doable one for me since I tried doing it once already so cjdjdj)
•Medium-est: My ideas for a Nijigasaki album (now this one requires almost a Polyvore-esque approach to it in my mind, with putting one girl in the middle and then a bunch of pictures + text for my vision - I’m still very new to any editing-type deal,so it definitely would take me a bit longer to figure out but it wouldn’t be TOO hard ykwim)
•Hardest: My own mixed group subunit graphic (do any of y’all remember that one picture of the mixed group units someone else made up I posted a while back?? Yeah I wanna do my own bc of that Love Live Days poll that’s happening but have ZERO clue how to put something like that together like…figuring out how to stitch together SIFAS clips was a task on it’s own but something this feels like an entirely different beast idk what it is)
#…don’t mind me#i’m just rambling#bc i can’t figure out how to do these to save my life#especially the last two#idk#if anyone has any tips#by all means tell me bc i sure don’t know#love live#love live!#mars babbling

i miss polyvore every single day. it was so perfect for fanedits and making cute outfits and aesthetic boards. i’ve tried to find a replacement but none could top what she did <3 pinterest is fine but damn polyvore was something else
DUUUUDE SAAAAME
like for me it's kind of a win/lose situation - because no lie, since polyvore ended, my general fanfiction productivity has gone up about 90%. I am not even lying. I wrote over 400k last year (not including wips - I wrote, edited, and posted over 400k words last year) and during years where polyvore was active, I would write maybe like 90k a year tops
because in a normal day, when I wasn't actively writing - I would be on polyvore. I would be making outfit sets for my characters, I would be making moodboards for the fic, I would be collections to capture the mood of the fic. I spent hours and hours on polyvore to get me in the 'mindset' of writing the fic - and then I didn't actually end up writing the fic
and I miss polyvore a lot. I miss it so much. but now that I don't have a random website to waste my time on, I spend a lot more time actually writing fanfiction
(and I know people are gonna suggest polyvore alternatives, and I have tried a few, but my autistic brain is like - they're just not the same. if I really need an outfit pic for a character for a fic, then I'll go on pinterest and find one - the point of polyvore was the magic. the landscape. the vibes.)
and yes, I could spend more time on Tumblr, and sometimes I do - but it just doesn't hit the same. I fucking love Tumblr. but I tend to spend more time writing actual fics than I do on Tumblr. if I am on Tumblr, it's because I don't have enough mental energy to write fics that day. polyvore was the only thing that was genuinely distracting to me
especially because I would come to a point in my fic and be like "I need help visually what outfit the character is gonna wear for this part" - and then I would open polyvore to do 'one quick outfit' and spend 6 hours on there and not write my fic. and in my head, I would consider the 6 hours I spend on my polyvore to be 'writing'.
