Two years ago I made a comic called Deliveries, a fantasy slice of life story about a Delivery Witch, Juniper, on their rounds. The story began and ends at their home, Cedar House, a location I deliberately gave the time to draw out and map before starting to thumbnail the comic itself.

I like to draw out floor plans for important locations in comics - Nix's Tattoo Shop from The Ink Witch, for example - so even though Juniper doesn't spend a lot of time at Cedar House, it was important to me to know how their life - and the lives of their coven members - were reflected in the home they made for themselves. Where do they all sleep? Since they're not all romantically involved, who shares beds and who prefers to sleep alone? Who among them work from home, and where does that work happen? What is their communal space like? It's not a perfect design, and I think I'd make some different choices now (like giving them a second full sized bathroom maybe...!) but I still really like these sketches.

Anyway. Since I'm starting to share Deliveries on tapas, I've been going through the old sketchbooks and found that I still really like these designs, two years on, and thought them worth posting.

Endometritis...how you hated it.

The pain so sever it had you lying in bed trying to deal with the pain. It was even worse trying to work through your Endometritis while on your period. Your fingers clutching the sheets tightly.

Wilson was the first to notice you, your body shaking under the sheets. "You feeling alright."

"I'm just in a lot of pain right now....but I can handle it James, really." You forced a smile on your lips.

Wrinkling his nose, Wilson sat on the edge of the bed brushing a strand of your hair away. "I'm staying home, I'll take care of you-."

The familiar sound of tapping drew both of your attention singling House. "I'll be the one to take of her, you can run off to work."

Rolling his eyes, Wilson stood at his full height crossing his arms over his chest. "I think you want to get out of work."

House waved him off as he sat next to you, his gaze softened. "That's just a perk but since it feel's like you're going to be a pain in the ass why don't you go start a bath for our sleeping beauty here."

"You're insufferable." Wilson muttered walking past House towards the bathroom.

It didn't take long for Wilson to be done with the bath, the steam rising off the water, Epsom salt mixed in. Helping you undress, he placed a kiss to the side of your head. "Relax....holler if you need us right House."

House blinked then he rolled his eyes as he sat himself down on the toilet. "I'm going to give our princess some company."

Before Wilson could protest you gave him a soft smile as your body relaxed in the water. "It's okay James, I don't mind the company."

"Alright, i'll be back." Wilson tilted his head then stepped out of the bathroom.

The rest of the day went on in a blur, House held you as you melted into his touch. Wilson making sure you were in the most comfortable position as he did his best to spoil you.

At night you were sandwiched between the two men, House's hand on your hip while your back was pressed into Wilson's chest.

The pain earlier from the day already melting away, all thanks to the two doctor's that loved you more than anything.
