something that kills me about the fandom is that people forget (unfortunately because of the casting from the movies) that the potters were only 21 when they died. sirius & remus were only 32 & 33 when PoA was out. they weren’t old. not by any means. i think about remadora a LOT, and how people have quips about their age gap? they met when she was 24ish?? like a full ass adult. remus would’ve been like…36/37? also a FULL ASS ADULT. i think because of tonk’s quirky and childish behavior people forget that she was a FULL ASS ADULT, and that’s why people think their age gap is weird. like idk.

i play 2 characters that the fandom seems to villainize because it “gets in the way” of their m/m ships. lily & tonks get SO MUCH HATE because of j.egulus and w.olfstar. as someone who ships literally everything (my polyamorous ass plz), i genuinely don’t understand it.

HBP AU where Tonks really is grieving her cousin and it’s not until Molly keeps bringing Remus up to her, having horrifically misread the entire situation, that Tonks learns that Molly thinks she has feelings for Remus and she’s moping over this. Molly brought this up in the hospital wing as in canon, so now this is supremely awkward for everyone. Tonks assures Remus that she doesn’t have romantic feelings for him and in a rather awkward way, she tries to assure him that she likes him, she does, it’s just strictly platonic because she worries he’ll take it to mean she doesn’t like him at all and tolerates him out of necessity, and she doesn’t want him to think that but she’s clumsy about it. Socially awkward Tonks for the win and yes this is partially me projecting, what about it? It’s both sweet and excruciatingly painful to witness, the kind of secondhand embarrassment you must leave the room as a result of. So now everyone else has to witness this and Remus finally tells Tonks that she can stop rambling any second now—Tonks says “oh thank fuck��� with the kind of relief every student is well aware of, when the teacher postpones that major exam you didn’t study for by another couple days—and both Remus and Tonks ask Molly why she thought Tonks was romantically interested in him and presumably thought this was reciprocal given that she seemed to be trying to convince Remus to date her. Molly stumbles over an answer, which I am not sure of so it is up to your imagination. Tonks scrunches her nose up and says she has known this man since she was a child, as Andromeda would visit Sirius in Hogsmeade sometimes since she couldn’t see him at home (this is all an AU in which the cousins are close and thus, Andromeda actually knew her cousin and didn’t think he was the traitor because I’m not so sure that they actually interacted post-Andromeda’s disownment when Sirius was a kid). Remus says “you know I was dating Sirius right?” Molly did not know that, but everyone else did. Tonks reveal that she’s in a polyamorous relationship with Bill and Fleur (I think they’re all close in age, if not just pretend they are bc the timeline’s a mess anyways). Fleur does not like Molly anyways, but trying to match make Fleur’s girlfriend did not help Fleur’s opinion. Bill is also none too pleased, especially since he was just attacked and he will be having words with his mother about her timing later.

Okay wait this all happening right in front of Bill while he's recovering from a horrific attack are actually hilarious. I mean, it was hilarious already, Molly trying to matchmake Remus and Tonks while her son was grievously injured is a huge show of mistaken priorities, but the fact that he's dating Tonks....wow, Molly. Read the room.

BIOGRAPHY.

born in new orleans, to two loving and hardworking parents. they lived in the lower ninth ward, in a small two bedroom home. money wasn’t abundant, but there was enough to give them everything they needed.

river was born with type one diabetes and has required insulin to function properly from the start.

their father, worked as a street musician and helped their mother at the metaphysical shop she owned. along with the shop, luna was a well known wiccan and head of one of the many local covens.

with the global environment declining over the years, tropical storm season had become even more dangerous. one particular hurricane hit the city and the big easy didn't stand a chance. over half the city was affected, the lower income areas the worst. hundreds died and among them were river's parents.

they were pushed into the system, foster families that were near capacity with displaced children. river couldn't stand it. hated the clothes they put them in, the way the tried to bring them to church, bringing them to therapy, throwing away their crystals and trying to cut their hair. it didn't take long until they'd run away.

at twelve years old, they were on their own. bouncing from family friend to family friend until their best friend's family got word and took them in as one of their own.

they appreciated everything that family did for them and the strong bond they had with their friend, it was more than they could've asked for. being accepted for who they were and loved made all the difference in helping them survive their teen years.

at the age of seventeen, they decided to get their ged and river said the hardest goodbyes to new orleans and their second hom when they left to go travel the country.

on their own and in their travels, many things were learned. one being how to survive off nothing, as they struggled to find any kind of work. river was not very reliable when it came to day jobs and set schedules, though they attempted to adapt.

the biggest struggle was this constant feeling of emptiness along with rotating periods of random moods that would sometimes come about for no reason at all. it had been there since losing their family and most of the time they just rode it out. in the worst times they turned to substances for help, as they’d done in the past. this lead them down a spiral of abusive relationships, bad run ins with dealers and law enforcement, shady work to keep afloat, etc.

away from home and lacking inhibition, they ended up becoming a garbage disposal for the many options of drugs available in america's underground; using them to fill a void they couldn’t close no matter how hard they tried until it almost killed them.

which is exactly what happened, they ended up overdosing in an all-night diner's bathroom and when they woke up they were in a hospital room with no clue what had happened. it gave them a wake up call for sure, and it was decided that they needed to start over.

after a couple years and many failures, river managed to hitch a ride as far as texas. they had a good feeling about dallas and updated those in new orleans where they were. that was when they were told of the trust money their parents left behind for river to be given to them when they reached the age of twenty-five.

the temptation was there to blow the money on more travels and parties but it was quickly squashed. it was an obvious sign from the stars and they decided to go all in on a new venture, opening up a shop with a close friend called the broom closet.

the new distractions did not shake the vices they picked up on the road but they certainly slowed them down. they are trying their best to kick their many bad habits so that one day they will thrive in the world again.

beyond that they used their natural knack for seduction and flirtatious nature to make money for the shop and meet new people by dancing at the kit-kat club. determined something would come of their life someday.

when they aren’t working at either of their jobs, they can be found writing lyrics or poetry, dancing, partying, or sneaking out of the home of one of their many casual romantic encounters. river is excited for the future and whatever the new start would bring for them in this cyber metropolis.

BACKGROUND.

born in new orleans, louisiana. diagnosed with type one diabetes as a young child. mother was wiccan and a strong believer in metaphysical practices along with many astrological practices- she owned a small shop in new orleans. father was deeply in love with their mother and worked as a street musician and helped with the shop when needed.

they lost both parents in hurricane katrina and was sent to live with their aunt in new jersey. she was vastly different from the free-spirited and loving home they’d grown used to but she tried and they don’t resent her for it.

early in their teens they developed an increasing awareness of this void inside of them which never quite could fill no matter how hard they tried. slowly it would spread, creeping into their brain to fill their head with dark thoughts and leave them debilitated if not dealt with. everything has a cause and effect. the result of this was a rush to keep trying to fill this dark hole with anything and everything they could get their hands on. drugs, alcohol, people, sex, love, affection, things. it became an endless merry go round of self-destruction interrupted by glimpses of peace and serenity in between.

this is how they fell into the group of friends they did, spending their time causing trouble, skipping school, and partying. by the time their aunt noticed their change in behavior and the truancy, it was far too late. their apathy for all things rules and conventional society standards were gone and they'd made the pact with their best friends and set out to explore the country together.

river felt a growing satisfaction in the nomadic lifestyle. they'd always had a wanderlust they couldn't quite confine. it opened them up for more creativity, writing song lyrics and music on occasion, learning more instruments. panhandling their songs on the sidewalks of various cities they stopped in or offering their better talents in tarot readings and astrology to get some extra cash to get them to the next city because the more they got in legitimate ways, the less they had to steal.

after several years of this, some of their friends got tired of found reasons to settle down in various places they'd stopped. river always hated saying goodbye, ever harboring a string of abandonment issues since their parents were unexpectedly taken from them. eventually it came down to them and link, which they were fine with because they weren't alone ( despite missing those who left ) and they'd always felt a strong connection to link, like they were made from the same stardust.

when they stumbled upon huntsville, it was a complete mistake and all the perception in the world couldn't have led them to the situation they found themselves in. forced to settle in, they worried what the future might hold for both them and their best friend. rationing the substances they could find could only last so long. river had to wonder what would take them out first the long list of vices they indulged in, the creatures that emerge from the darkness, or the withdrawal.

Hi everyone! I'm a new writer on Tumblr, but I wanted to let you guys know that I am taking requests for one-shots, headcanons, etc. Below are details on what characters & ships I'll write, what I will and won't write, request guidelines and stuff like that. Please read this before you request, and if you see one of my posts before this and want to make rest, I'll be linking this post to each of the other posts I make, but anyway, let's get to it.

Now, onto request guidelines:

I will write oneshots, headcanons (general or based on a specific prompt, like a character's hobby or relationship with another character) fluff, and angst. I can write some level of smut, but only something like making out, kissing, etc. Please don't be afraid to ask, but please don't be upset if I turn down the request, it's usually only because I'm not comfortable with writing it. I also won't write anything about rape, abuse, incest, anything that's racist, anything smutty that involves a minor and an adult, etc.

2. There are certain ships I will not write about as well, I won't list specific ones, but I will not write about ships that involve an adult and a minor, a student and a professor, polyamorous ships, etc. I get that everyone has their preferences, and that's fine, but I'm not comfortable writing those types of ships. Any other ships, though, are totally fine! I will also write platonic ships, not just romantic ships.

3. Be kind. if you don't like the request I've written, please be polite. Although I am by no means transphobic, racist, etc, I do not have much experience in writing characters that are part of the LGBTQIA+ community or characters with different cultures, and this may reflect on my writing. But, with that matter and just in general, I try my best, so I will not accept any hate on this blog, towards me or others.

4. Be patient. Please take this as a friendly remember that, like the rest of us, I do have a life, and while I'll try to get back to you on a request as soon as possible, I can not write 24/7. So please don't be offended if it takes a while for me to finish your request, I will try to finish it as quick as possible. And, please don't be offended if I choose not to write your request. There are a lot of things I really don't feel comfortable writing about, and that's okay. It's not my intention to offend you if I don't write your request, it's just my preference. And, sometimes it has nothing to do with the content of your request, but simply because I don't have the energy to write sometimes, and I just have to turn down some requests.

5. Please be detailed. This is very important! Please specify in your request, what character you want me to write about, the ship you want me to include if you just want it to be a character x y/n thing, or a nonshipping request, a clear summary of your idea, the type of writing you want it to be (headcanons, one shot, fluffy, angst etc), that type of thing. It doesn't have to be super long, just enough so I know what you actually want me to write. And please only submit your requests via my asks, not in the comments of my posts or anything like that.

And I think that's all! I really appreciate you taking the time to read this, and just an extra note, if you would like to submit anything via my asks, that's not a request, just a question or to share your own thoughts on Harry Potter, please feel free to do so! She took the cup from the male oppsite her. "Did you know that my cousin had a male lover when he was younger, come to think of it I think he had multiple lovers." Andromeda spoke up. "He always was more progressive than the rest of us."

Remus choked on the mouthful of tea he had and Bill went to pat him on the back. Her daughter Nymphadora had just brought her new husband home to see her mother for the first time along with their other partners. She wanted to talk to talk to her about their relationship before everyone else found out. Being polyamorous wasn't new in the wizarding world, but it also wasn't that common still either. The pink haired female, had never brought another partner home, she knew she would be accepted but she was just nervous.

"Are you okay there Remus love?" Andromeda asked with slight worry.

"Yes thank you," He took a deep breath to regain some of the oxygen he just lost. "It just shocked me that you knew about Sirius' promiscuity. I never thought there was just me..." He trailed off. Tonks knew about her husbands realtionship with Sirius but her mother did not.

"I knew there was you, James and Lily." She reached over and took one of Remus' hand in hers. "You really wasn't as secretive as you thought. I knew as soon as my daughter told me she was seeing you that you would be perfect for her." She looked over to her daughter who was wrapped in Fleur's arms.
