It's about time I made new refs for these 3 c:

They're this polyamorous trio of Debu who I love dearly. Lepit fled to Lewes, their village, to escape his death sentence, Rinkalla fled to Lewes to escape her fame and adoring fans, and Sindeer's... always been here. Now they're all dating eachother, under the scrutiny of everyone, making stupid bank as an iron trio with Sindeer bringing in lionfleas, Lepit making never-before seen dye out of them, and Rinkalla using them in her artwork that would become prized artifacts of the modern world.

Breakdown of designs and general loredump below the cut:

*rated on how easy they are to acquire, not how common they are in Debu art/fashion

So, a big thing with these 3 is that they've gotten famous for dealing with their last competent predators - the lionfleas (bottom of post), these bipedal pack-hunting bugs that take advantage of their enourmous size, and their dye isn't just desired because it's made from lions but also because the color is valuable in general, similar to how purple was prized and usually reserved for royalty because of how difficult it was to get.

The first 2 sections of colors are really common with the first one being found constantly in the rocks they're constantly quarrying to make their caves, and the second one being a really prominent color in their plants' "flowers." Yellows, greens, and cyans aren't usual plant/organic colors, so they're very hard to get as pigments, at least for Debu who need a lot more of it. Usually they can only get it through trading Zebrapeople who can create these pigments much more efficiently than Debu, as zebrapeople have domesticated bugs who create them. But these lionfleas' shells produce a surprising golden yellow hue from the vesigial wings that got incorporated into their elytras, and this dye is used in the fabric Sindeer makes as a huge moneymaker and a giant ass flex in their stoles.

Speaking of which, Valley Debu have 3 big ideals - heritage, your in-group, and history/recordkeeping. The second of which I'm about to show off rn:

*The right side is the right side of all of their stoles to show they're all a part of the same group, and each of their left sides show their role in it.

Also, the fertility symbol - I went over this in the first try of this post, but the debu fertility symbol is kinda universally known as this centermost circle within the object it's on, since it's supposed to resemble a yolk from an egg. A lot of societies have a specific sigil but it's very easily recognized from the aforementioned center circle thing. The damn thing is everywhere on account of fertility being a very big ideal for Debu - their environment is harsh, arid, and susceptible to frequent famine, and prospering crops and other Debu is something they look forward to.

Valley Debu really like grouping themselves, establishing and aligning themselves with communities, on the broader and individual scale. Yes they're very nationalistic, but they're also extremely proud of even just friendgroups, they love to show the pride and demonstrate their exclusivity within groups as niche as possible(which leads to a LOT of polarization and wars within Valley Debu). These 3 are no different and when they're out and around other Debu they wear a stole around their hump+shoulders showing off how they're the freaks who keep surviving their equivalent to lions and live to make them into dye. Usually though, around the house they're just naked :P

Also, Extra notes on some of the stuff I added as their professions!

Sindeer is a huntress but she's specifically a whistleblower one, and also carves whistles, and here's why. On Bolur, all 3 species domesticated cloes instead of something like a dog, these bird-like creatures who originally were domesticated to keep bugs off them and their crops, who can often be trained to respond to specific whistles that mimic the ones they use naturally. The cloes Debu domesticated act a lot like hunting hounds for Debu, they can locate and kill game. So basically, she hunts with flying dogs and makes dogwhistles.

Then there's Rinkalla, who among other things, makes cement?

On Bolur, they have have land coral, these photosynthetic things with a soft, marrow-y pith and a hard limestone outside. The homo mousike (3 sapient species) really like using it in their cement and concrete since it's really widespread, and Rinkalla... does that! The original reason was because Bolur didn't have wood, but I'm realizing that wood as a concept for plants is so incredibly simple that I don't think I can make it Not canon, even though it was a fun design constraint.

Also, last names: Valley Debu societies are generally patriarchal, but their love of recordkeeping extends past this - they prefer the mother's last name to be passed down since the mother is the most reliable parent. If someone gives birth, no matter what they say who's the father, you can never be sure. But whoever gave birth is DEFINITELY the parent, you know? Their last name also doesn't change even with marital status.

Guitarhero but Eden trio care, they are neutral towards Michael and Adam's relationship and are a bit glad Adam has someone even if that someone it's Lucifer's twin, they just sends their regards and that's the end of it. No drama no mocking just a neutral regard

Eve took a deep breath to calm herself down. It’s been years since she saw Adam. The last time she saw him, they were on Earth, alive and breathing. When she died, she ended up in Hell and has been there ever since. She wouldn’t have known Adam ended up in Heaven if it weren’t for one of her children that ended up down there.

She felt a glove covered hand gently hold her shoulder. She glanced behind her to see Lilith giving her a warm smile.

“Don’t worry, we’re with you. However he’ll react, we will be there” Lilith assured her. She knew Eve is nervous about how Adam will react to seeing her. She’s currently in a polyamorous relationship with his ex-best friend and ex-wife. Eve thinks, no, she knows Adam will react terribly.

The doors of the Heaven embassy opened revealing a massive empty lobby. They went to the desk and rang the bell. A golden paper appeared before them with Heaven Embassy written on it. Lucifer grabbed the quill first and signed his name with Eve and Lilith following suit.

“Creepy…” Eve mumbled to herself.

Another door magically opened with light coming out of it.

“That must be our meeting room. Ladies first” Lucifer said with a bow. Eve shook her head with a smile while Lilith giggled.

The three of them walked in the room to see a massive round chair with two chairs on one side while one chair on the other. On said chair, an angel about the same height as Lilith sat with big golden wings and a very bright halo. The angel has brown hair, golden eyes, and a very familiar looking face.

“Adam” said Eve in awe. Her love for her ex-husband may not have been the same as before. But she did still loved him.

At the mention of his name, the angel who was looking at the scroll on his hands looked up in surprise.

“Eve?”

Adam was shocked to see his ex-wife there. He was expecting only Lucifer and Lilith to meet with him. He knew Eve ended up in Hell but he always assumed that she would want nothing to do with him after he heard the news that she got together with the king and queen of hell. The thought stung but she is someone he truly cares about.

Silence and awkwardness filled the room. Lucifer and Lilith felt out of place as the former lovers stare at each other in surprise, speechless. Lucifer broke it by clearing his throat. Adam snapped out of his trance first.

“Ah right. Have a seat” said Adam gesturing to the two chairs. Lucifer pulled one of the chairs for Lilith and pulled the other for Eve. Eve shook her head.

“Right… Umm… I didn’t expect you to join Eve. Here.” With a snap of Adam’s fingers, from the ground sprouted golden light like a plant and it shaped itself into a chair.

“Thank you.” Eve replied awkwardly. She sat on the chair and was surprised to find how soft it was. It appeared to be solid but it’s as soft as their own plush sofas at the palace.

For a minute, Adam just twiddled his fingers not really looking at them, well not at Eve. And Eve is doing the same. They both avoided eye contact with each other. Lucifer and Lilith felt like they were intruding on something if they speak.

“How are you?” Both Adam and eve said at the same time making them both gasp.

“I’m fine. Thanks.” They replied at the same time again.

“How’s our children?” Again.

“Doing well!” Again.

“….. supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” they both said at the same time. Adam chuckled while Eve giggled. The tension in the air lessened and even gained a sense of familiarity. The king and queen of Hell can’t help but smile at their interaction.

“You first.” Adam gestured at Eve. “Hey, Adam! How’s Heaven treating you?” Eve asked. She knows its a terrible conversation starter but it’s still a starter nonetheless.

“Oh! Well… I’m doing great. Heaven’s treating me well. I hope Hell is doing the same to you” Adam replied.

“It’s fine! I’m fine down here. Lucifer and Lilith are treating me well” Eve said shyly, tucking a stray hair.

“That’s good! That’s good to hear.” replied Adam. The first man started twiddling his thumbs as the room atmosphere started feeling awkward.

Lilith cleared her throat gaining the attention of first man and the second woman.

“May we start the meeting?” She asked. Adam looked annoyed but nodded anyways.

The topic they’ve discussed was about Hell’s sinners and the royal family. Heaven wanted to inform the Royals of Hell that the sinners are acting up and even started threatening the Heaven Embassy, fuelled by their queen’s songs.

Lilith assured them that she did not want the sinners to rise up against Heaven at all, but wanted to lift their spirits up. She promised that they will keep an eye on their subjects more and ensure that such incidents will never happen again.

Heaven also addressed the concerning population growth of Hell. Lucifer promised that he will look into it and find a solution.

“Good. Heaven actually considered one of my ideas as a ‘last resort.’ Honestly, I only said that stupid idea so Sera would leave me the fuck alone.” said the first man with an annoyed tone.

“What was your idea?” asked the Devil.

“Exterminate the sinners.” Adam replied.

“Adam!” Eve exclaimed. “These are our children! Our descendants!”

“I know! Fuck! I know.” Adam said while holding his forehead in frustration. “If you can keep your people in check, Heaven wouldn’t have to interfere. Don’t worry, Eve. I’ll make sure Heaven won’t go through with it.”

This made the mother of humanity sigh in relief. If there’s one thing she knows about Adam, it’s that he would never lie.

A metallic glint caught the mother of humanity’s attention. There on Adam’s ring finger lies the gleaming ring, an engagement ring. Her eyes widen is surprised before a wide grin appeared on her face. She squealed in delight surprising everyone in the room.

“Adam! I didn’t know you’re engaged! Who is it? Who is it?” Eve asked excitedly.

Adam was taken aback. He forgot that he was wearing his engagement ring. He glanced at his left hand and sure enough, his ring gleamed at the heavenly light as if trying to gain attention.

Lilith also leaned forward with obvious curiosity on her face. He suppose that just like him, that sense of curiosity never left her. In fact, it never left the three first humans.

“Oh, it’s beautiful!” The first woman muttered.

“I know! So who is it, Adam? Who is the lucky soul you’re engaged too?” Eve asked excitedly.

Adam felt his eye twitch and his face warm up. While everyone in Heaven know who he is engaged to and even celebrated it, he doesn’t understand why he felt bashful now!

“It’s fucking Michael, okay?!” Adam exclaimed, face flushed.

Lilith’s eyes widen in surprise. Eve’s eyes were wide open staring at Adam with genuine happiness for him. A glance at Lucifer told him that the guy was shocked at the news. Adam knows that it’s not because he’s engaged to Michael, but the fact that Michael actually got engaged at all.

“I’m so happy for you!” Eve said with genuine happiness for her best friend. She leapt across her seat to the other side of the table to give Adam a hug, something that the first man happily reciprocated.

“I didn’t expect Michael of all angels to get engaged” he heard Lucifer mutter.

“Congratulations, Adam.” Lilith said getting over her surprise. “And I’m happy you get to marry someone whom you truly love and want to spend eternity with.” It was said with genuine happiness for Adam.

Adam felt a small smile creep on his face. “Yeah… i am really happy with him.”

A ding of a clock had brought them back out of their trance. Eve got back to her seat, clearly wanting to talk more.

“Ah, look at the time! I know we’re all busy with responsibilities and shit so we’ll end this meeting here.” Adam said with a shrug.

They all stood up and arranged the chairs, pushing it close to the table. The chair Eve sat at faded like light.

“Well” the first man shrugged his shoulders. “Meeting adjourned. See you all next year or if you make an appointment this year.”

“It was nice seeing you, Adam!” Eve said happily. Lilith nodded in agreement. Both women walked out of the room and to the lobby of the embassy.

The first man turned to head to the heavenly portal.

“Adam.”

The angel stopped in his tracks to look at the Devil. Lucifer looked serious, but he doesn’t look angry at least.

“Don’t hurt my brother” he warned.

Adam chuckled and said: “We both know that he could literally beat me to a bloody pulp.”

“I’m serious.”

Adam nodded in understanding and glanced at his ring. His cheeks felt warm once again.

“I won’t.” From the corner of his eye, he saw the Devil relax.

“You better take care of Eve, too. If I hear that someone hurt her, I swear I’ll come down here myself and bring the fucking heavenly judgment on them.” Adam said.

“And I’ll gladly join you” Lucifer added with a smirk.

Adam gave Lucifer a long look, before rolling his eyes and heading to the portal. Lucifer chuckled and whistled while twirling his cane to follow his beloved queens.

Lina is so pretty! Whats her relationship with Qiu and Tamarack? :D

*slaps hands on table* SHE IS STUNNING, THANK YOU AND I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED.

I could go into incredible detail about her thoughts involving the two and how that translates in her relationships with them through roughly every step. However, I'm uncertain how much detail you want. So I'll keep it pretty surface level with the game mechanics mostly and Step One lol.

In Step One, she is at crush level for both Tamarack and Qiu.

Tamarack and Lina are also BFFs! Lina prefers to work as a unit with her, and is praising and accepting of Tamarack. I imagine they're the kids in class that eventually have to be separated for snickering and talking too much. Usually brought on by Tamarack, but Lina joins in, building off of eachother's energy when they're together.

The archetype of an extrovert adopting an introvert comes to mind lol. They took to each other very quickly due to Tamarack being readily open to being friends and seeking Lina's company. Lina's hesitation in social situations would have prevented her from reaching out, so Tamarack really saved her a step lol. I pictured Lina getting butterflies from how eager Tamarack wanted to know Lina and play together. Ugh, so cute, cute, cute.

Lina defers to Qiu in Step One because she admires them. However, before she settled in and really got to know Qiu, the admiration and deferring was more like: "you are incredibly popular and could make my life a living hell here if you wanted to *sweats*." Bbg was literally afraid of them at first 😭😂.

(Her thoughts were similar over Baxter due to the precieved sway she thought he must have had in Golden Grove from his family)

This anxiousness was compounded by her crush she developed quickly and learned: "oh, he treats everyone that way." She admired their kindness, but still felt a little put out over it.

She's very teasing with them, especially as Step One goes on. The two really enjoy giving the other a hard time. Lina and Qiu are very similar in terms of people pleasing when they're younger. I imagine it is something they unintentionally bond over as they got closer.

I plan to use Lina for the polyamorous route, but who she ends up with first until step 4, I'm not sure. I'm still definitely "getting to know" Lina just as much as Tamarack and Qiu as time goes on and more material is released. I have a vague idea, but all my heaconnons could make no sense by time the game is fully available. So, I'm just kind of seeing what happens lol.

If you're gonna redeem Barty and Evan, you cannot go and shit on Bellatrix like let's be serious. You definitely can not like her but why are you over there calling her a psycho (derogatory).. have you seen your boys? (also people are sleeping on the Black Sisters as a whole)

Sybill Trelawney is such an interesting character and I think giving so much of her characteristics to Pandora water them both down. Also the angst is so good? Like come on guys (more on this)

I actually think Severus Snape is an interesting characters.

You shouldn't buy official merch or tickets to events or anything that would give money to jkr because that makes her believe people support her in her views about Trans People.

Day 11: A dark fic

Sings to Scars by tuesdayspectacular (Fem!Harry/Snape, Not Rated, 156k)

A very dark fic dealing with the heavy topics of sexual assault and mutilation. The author's depiction of those traumatic events is heartwrenching and every word hits true. Snape is the one person in this fic that can understand what Harrie went through, and even though he had a part in it, he chooses to help her heal from it. The eventual happy ending feels very earned. Nothing gets suddenly fixed by magic.

I really love this fic and the story it tells.

Day 12: A WIP you’re following

I love the idea of the Golden trio being in a polyamorous relationship! The way danpuff depicts them being together and happy in a post-war world warms my heart. And then there's Snape. I can't wait to see where this fic goes. :D

Day 13: A fic with over 100k words

"Your tears are of no relevance to me" by @hirukochan (Snape/Reader, E, 400k+, still updating)

Mmm, so many words, and they're all delicious. This fic starts as dark smut and develops into so much more. The journey from the first chapter to the current one is a wild one, and one that I deeply enjoyed. Snape is written so well in this fic, with so many layers. So is the Reader. So is Voldemort. All the characters are, really.

This fic has everything. Scorching hot smut, an interesting plot, well-crafted characters, cliffhangers that will make you scream, fluffy scenes that will melt your heart, and it's not even done yet!

Okay, so this is my second most recent bookmark (yes, I'm cheating). This fic features a female Harry named Emma who is a tad darker than her canon counterpart. Things don't go exactly as in canon either, and during the summer before her fifth year at Hogwarts, events happen that leave Emma reeling. The author does a superb job at portraying her psychology. And of course sparks fly between her and Snape...

Day 16: A fic that made you laughed

Day 17: A fic that made you cry

Broken Silence by @witchimagefanfic (Snape/Reader, M, 500k+ with more chapters planned)

This fic made me cry multiple times. The relationship between the Reader and Snape is so well written. There are highs and lows, there are moments of tooth-rotting fluff and moments of vicious, dark tension, and there are moments where I cheered and moments where I cried.

I can’t believe I’ve only watched 3 will be free now. Somebody should’ve forced me to watch this long ago! I love the way they’ve approached this polyamorous relationship specially with Shin and Miw’s friendship. Their dynamics is so fun to watch. In the beginning when Neo and Shin were arguing all the time, Shin was the middle ground between them. The backstory of ShinNeo’s meeting reminded me of another painter-aka First in Not Me. While going through all the shit the trio truly became a found family- even named the resort “three hearts” aww. Mae was the one who suffered the most and i was so sad when Ter died😭 Her journey was the most most moving thing in this show truly. Seeing Toptap onscreen after sooooo long was very surprising. PP was really cute, always hitting on Shin lol

The outfits were a scene stealer throughout the show. I think this is the best queer representation I’ve seen in a show. This is an immediate favourite and I love the trio so much. I love how they simply accept the fact that a person can love two people equally at the same time. This show is iconic. Also I’m looking forward to Joss in Golden Blood even more now. I am appalled there is even a debacle over you requesting that authors receive sincere interactions from readers. I’m sure there is nothing more dehumanizing than readers and commenters sending a request or demanding a sequel like you are able generate one on command and there is not a please, a thank you, or even a conversation. Especially after pouring your energy and existence into a piece of art. I am still so grateful for ‘King For A Day’ and how much you had put into that piece of art. You brought the golden trio to life for me and they’ve always been dearest to my heart. I had always been hesitant about requesting or writing something polyamorous due to my inexperience and not feeling comfortable questioning monogamy. Knowing the type of fanfiction you write, how unapologetically comfortable you are with your identity, and your genuine drive to have a relationship with your readers made me unafraid to ask. You created something so meaningful about sexuality, sacrifice, identity, temptation, loyalty, acceptance, and love while preserving the magic and characters. That was just from a smut request! Meaningful conversations, requests, interactions, etc are not just benefiting her. If more authors received a morsel of this quality of feedback or humanity, they’d want to provide more for their readers. We have devolved from symbiosis to amensalism. What do authors get out of a few notes after spending weeks, months, or years crafting plots, conflicts, resolutions, and characters? Food for thought.

just in general thank you for everything you have said in this message, because everything you are saying is so true and makes so much sense. and I just - I need to chat about this fic in particular and everything surrounding it. people who know me will know that I bring up King For A Day so often

King For A Day was a huuuuuge spiritual awakening for me as a writer. I consider it to be a perfect fic in terms of a representation of me as an artistic and the execution of my ideas being perfect in the final product on paper

something I have not mentioned - as a kind of experiment, so far this year I have been writing down what are my top ten fics of each month (statistically) from Tumblr, and putting them on a chart. so, the ten fics that get the most notes each month (not just new ones) get noted down so I can see which fics and which fandoms do the best, and so I can see if new fics are performing well - just out of curiosity.

King For A Day has made the list a few times. and every single time I go back to the fic, the number of likes and reblogs has increased, but it always has the same 15 replies on the post. and those 15 replies are the discussion that you and I had on the fic when it first came out - and even if I don't always read through those, seeing that number brings me so much joy. because it reminds me that I made just one person really enthusiastic about the fic in order to spark a discussion about the fic

and it makes me feel like the fic was successful. I do not judge the fic's success on whether or not the likes go up - but by the fact that there was a full fledged discussion in the comments, and it made one person enthusiastic about the fic. that's it

on the other hand - I consider the AO3 comments of King For A Day to be the fucking war trenches of comments. I consider it to be like the Menacled effect (and I think that the Harry Potter fandom is one of the most tiktokified fandoms when it comes to AO3 memes and 'big' fanfics, so they are one of the most entitled fandoms, and one fandom where the culture feels so different, especially on AO3) - but the AO3 comments of King For A Day are a huuuuuge example of how not to comment on fics.

50% of the fucking comments are passive aggressive and asking me to change something about one of the main elements of the fic

'I would like to read a second chapter' - this is not a chaptered fic, this is a oneshot. so there won't be one. also you put this in like a McDonalds order, and that's not how this works?

using the word 'but' in comments like this just doesn't work. if you have to put the word 'but' in a fic comment, then you shouldn't be commenting.

this comment would be perfectly fine and normal and good if it stopped at the heart. BUT (lmao) this fucking comment lives in my mind in infamy because this person for some reason clicked on a fic that is clearly labelled as an x reader fic (written by an author whose entire account is x reader fics) and wanted me to change that main element of the fic??

and for this fic in particular - I have no fucking clue what canon character they would have wanted me to put in place of the reader character. there is no character who easily gels with the dynamic of the Golden Trio - hence, why I invented the reader character in the first place (to show someone balancing out the trio's personalities and acting like a bridge between them to mesh all of them together). like if you want this to be with a canon character - pick one, and use Word Replacer to put them in. don't fucking bother me about it.

and right now, some of you reading this post are readying your little fingers to type a message to me going:

"well you can just moderate comments! you can delete comments you don't like!!" - yes, but I still have to read comments like this.

comments don't get filtered and deleted before I even see them.

even if I delete comments like this, even if I moderate comments - I still have to read them. when people go through the thoughtless process of typing out a comment like this and hitting send, not at all thinking about how that comment will appear to the author, the author still has to read their weird demanding passive aggressive comment. even if they don't reply to it and delete it. (and I usually do reply to comments like this, because I try to politely guide people in the way of being more polite with my replies by telling them I have no plans to change the fic and no plans to make a sequel so they shouldn't ask for it.)

HOWEVER - there is a big difference to me between people commenting on a fic that is in progressing and a fic that is already finished. I have gotten all of my creative satisfaction from King For A Day. especially from the discussion that you and I had surrounding it. so those passive aggressive comments annoy me, a lot - and it makes me feel like people don't appreciate something I think is perfect and beautiful - but they don't ruin the work for me.

and like people have to realize that most of the fics I post are FINISHED. they are finished. so commenting on a finished fic asking for major changes or asking for a sequel where one was never intended is just a douchy thing to do. it's like if someone made a chocolate cake and brought it to a party (for free) and then you took a bite and told them that they should have vanilla cake instead. they're not gonna go back and remake the whole thing just because one person said so. or it's like saying that they should have made and brought brownies too. like nooooo

most of the time, I am posting a work that I have already gotten creative satisfaction from and I am just looking to (maybe) get a second burst of creative satisfaction (like a secondhand high) from having a discussion about it with someone. seeing people notice details in my work or having them ask me about my thought process gives me a second burst of creative energy - and that's all I'm looking for. and sometimes it gives me more ideas for those characters, or even ideas for a sequel to that work that you guys might want to read as well

otherwise, I move on to other creative pursuits, looking to get my creative high somewhere else. that's it

if anyone remembers the time I wrote You Shook Me All Night Long - discussion surrounding the fic got everyone a 20k bonus blurbs series. because people were messaging me excited to see Max get makeup lessons from the reader character and they were excited to see more about Steve and the reader's family. and I wouldn't have written it if not for people's excitement and discussion of the fic. I would have moved onto another fic right way.

I still don't get how or why people think that discussing the work with the writer is a trick when it directly benefits them because it just gets more fics for them???

because like you said - King For A Day, a fucking 22k fic, came from you randomly planting an idea in my inbox - not a request, not a demand, a seed of an idea - an idea that sparked my brain and made me so crazed that I wrote the fic within a week. and that is the kind of thing I'm looking for. people to vibe with me and help my creative vibes. and if not for you, that fic would not have existed.

"I planned on proposing tomorrow night," Diavolo stated.

His words echoed in Lucifer's mind, and the pressure was still building in his skull from the headache that was forming.

"Diavolo," was all he could say, his voice was low with a warning tone.

"Yes?" Diavolo said back, equally warning.

Lucifer's fists balled up and he gave Diavolo an icy glare. "Isn't it too soon?"

"As I said, I've given this great consideration, and I know what I want," Diavolo explained.

"What if she says no?" Lucifer asked.

"That is her right. I won't force her into anything she doesn't want to do, I respect her wishes," Diavolo replied calmly.

It took all Lucifer had to not go berserk on the prince. "She doesn't even know what that would mean for her," he replied, his voice tense.

"I anticipate her having questions, and I will be sure to answer them all honestly."

Losing all composure, Lucifer shot to his feet and slammed his hands on the desk, leaning over it. "Why? Why are you doing this?" he snapped.

Now Diavolo was getting irritated, so he stood to his feet slowly and leaned in to get into Lucifer's face, slowly letting his demon form materialize. "I think you are forgetting your place, Morningstar."

He couldn't let it go, "Why? Answer me," he barked, Lucifer's own demon form flashing into existence.

"Because I love her, and she is all I will ever want. I want her to be by my side and rule with me. I can't imagine anyone else for the role, nor will I ever want anyone else," Diavolo retorted.

"You haven't thought this through. She can't give you want you want," Lucifer growled, leaning forward, inches from the Demon Lord's face.

Diavolo's anger rose, and he inched closer to Lucifer with eyes locked in on the Avatar and all muscles flexed and ready to pounce. "Excuse me? What gives you the right–"

"She won't give you an heir," Lucifer hissed.

"What?" the prince barked.

Lucifer looked as though he could pop a blood vessel. "Have you even bothered to ask if that's what she wants? Because I have, and you would surely be mistaken to go through something like this without even considering that rather important aspect of marrying royalty."

Diavolo stopped and considered Lucifer's words, leaning back slightly. It was true, that he hadn't even asked you about such things, but he had assumed it would come up as one of your questions about certain aspects of a marriage with him.

"I won't explain it to you, because you need to ask her yourself," Lucifer said in disgust.

"I... I don't care. If she doesn't want that, then I won't force the issue. I want her and only her. If I can't marry her, then I simply won't marry at all, and then there's no point in an heir anyway." Diavolo turned his head away.

Lucifer's jaw fell agape. "You can't be serious," he said.

The prince looked back at the Avatar, emotions bubbling in his golden gaze with his brows furrowed. "Put yourself in my shoes, Lucifer. I've finally found someone like MC, and I love her as much as a demon can love anybody. I won't let her go, not over something like that. And she doesn't love me for my title or the benefits that come with being with me, she loves me for me. I've lived an incredibly lonely life, and for the first time in it I don't feel alone when she's around. I cannot lose her," Diavolo explained.

Now it was Lucifer's turn to listen and consider his lord's words. It's true, by having six brothers, he never experienced loneliness in the way Diavolo had. And if Diavolo even felt a fraction of what Lucifer feels toward you, and Lucifer was certain the Demon Lord did, he could understand why you were more important than the royal succession.

However, it would be naïve to think this wouldn't create problems in the future.

Diavolo's voice softened, sat back in his chair in his regular form, and he continued, "I asked you to meet with me to also discuss the nature of our relationships should she say yes."

Lucifer looked up through his lashes, reeling from the intense anger he felt about it all. "Go on," he said through his teeth.

"Nothing should change very much, but I will require more of her time for political and social events. I plan to offer her to move into the castle permanently, but I'm also open to other arrangements if she so desires. I don't expect her to end things with you for the sake of the marriage, so you two are welcome to continue seeing each other," Diavolo stated.

Lucifer didn't often find himself gob smacked, but in this instance, he was at a loss for words. However, this only drove his suspicion higher. He sat back in his chair and asked, "Why would you allow that?"

"I promised that she would never want for anything and to always do my best to keep her happy. I intend to keep those promises," Diavolo replied.

A thought struck Lucifer. It had occurred to him once upon a time that he too wanted to possibly marry you, however, he never quite had the opportunity or the courage to see it through. He was already on a rocky start with you, he didn't want to upset you with the idea of commitment on that level. He also understood that if you did indeed say yes to the Demon Lord, then the dynamics of the relationships would change. Surely, having a spouse would be more important than a romantic partner, and Diavolo already explained he would need more of your time, so what would be left for himself?

"Let's hear it, Lucifer," Diavolo ordered, seeing how deep in thought Lucifer was.

"And what if I wanted to marry her?" Lucifer quipped.

"I obviously couldn't stop you, though–" Diavolo started to say.

"You absolutely could stop me, and you know it," Lucifer hissed back.

Diavolo was struggling to keep his temper under control, which was rare for him. He ordinarily wouldn't get so heated in any argument, but for some reason when it was about you, he was falling victim to his temper that he worked so hard to keep tightly wrapped.

"Not if it's what she wanted. If she wanted you over me, I would simply have to let you do it," Diavolo replied in resignation.

"Then, you do understand that by her choosing to marry one of us, that leaves the other out of her life, just through logistics and priorities alone," Lucifer explained, his voice becoming quiet again. He finally reverted back to his regular form.

They were both silent, thinking about that prospect. Neither of them were ready for such a change in dynamics within their relationships with you, at least in the way of possibly losing out on their position in your life.

"She's made it work with us this far, she could surprise us, you know," Diavolo thought aloud.

Lucifer thought the same, but his stream of ideas had a different course in mind, "What if there was another way?"

"I'm listening."

"There are multiple options here. One, would it be possible for her to marry both of us?" Lucifer mused.

"Though that's not something that's necessarily illegal here, it does make for messy paperwork. There's no reason as to why she couldn't, but I just don't know about the legal logistics of it," Diavolo replied, sounding uncertain.

"Then, two, if you are wanting her to have all the power of ruling next to you, and for the sake of argument she didn't want to marry either of us, would it be possible to give her the title without a marriage contract?"

Diavolo continued his thoughts out loud, "Technically, yes. I think I would probably find myself answering to very angry aristocrats, but in theory, I suppose that's an option too. Similar to how I would have to name a successor eventually, I could just give her the title, and that would be it."

"So... what if you did that instead?" Lucifer asked cautiously.

The Demon Lord stared at the black box on his desk. "You don't think you'd miss the idea of one day making her your bride?" he asked aloud, but it was uncertain if he was talking to Lucifer, or maybe asking himself.

Lucifer scoffed. "Truthfully, when I thought about how my life would go after the fall, I wouldn't have guessed that I'd be in a romantic relationship with a human who is also in a romantic relationship with my boss, and then that human decides to give up her soul to be with us for eternity, and that I'd want to marry said human-now-turned-demon. At this point, I'm open to whatever is thrown my way."

Diavolo raised his eyebrows, not having considered that himself.

"Then, I suppose, my proposal will be slightly different than I originally imagined, but a proposal nonetheless."

IMMORTAL VAMPIRE ARC.

Just as a note: if I ever write or reference an immortal arc for Jack, I will be referencing this verse, and it is heavily affiliated with both WWDITS canon and musecraft & shadowcovcn. Jack’s primary ship is with Laszlo & Nadja in this arc, but like them he is also polyamorous and has taken plenty of other lovers during his immortal life.

This verse diverges from POTC canon after the events of On Stranger Tides: Jack encounters Laszlo and Nadja while on their golden age of piracy Caribbean honeymoon. The three quickly hit it off and, after having the prospect of immortality dangled in front of him mere hours after meeting, Jack jumps at the prospect of vampiric transformation. At this point, the Black Pearl is safe ( and stuck ) in a bottle, and will remain that way for the next 250 years.

Temperance isn’t easy for him as a newborn vampire and he struggles for the first six months between his aversion to killing and the hunger that has taken hold of his rational mind, beginning a nomadic lifestyle with Nadja and Laszlo as they travel from port to port. It isn’t long before the age of piracy itself starts to fade: Shipwreck Cove and Tortuga soon fall to the English and Spanish, leaving the number of safe ports available to the trio of vampires dwindling by the year. It is at this moment that Jack must finally shed the legend that he has spent his entire mortal life creating: Captain Jack Sparrow becomes a name committed to legend, a pirate who disappeared at sea, with no records of ever being apprehended or hanged for his crimes. Jack, meanwhile, leaves the Caribbean with Laszlo and Nadja to join the vampire cult led by Baron Afanas.

This verse encompasses the next two hundred and fifty years of Jack’s immortal life, from a failed stint at Baron’s court to his hijinks in pre-revolutionary France, his escape from the guillotine to his adventurer era as the Industrial Revolution takes hold, to languishing on a yacht in the Caribbean during the Great War, before finally settling in London in the mid 20th century. To humans at least, Jack runs a Soho club that becomes an integral part of the emerging rock ‘n’ roll scene of the 1960s and 1970s. To his fellow vampires and other supernatural creatures, Jack becomes part swindler, part expert in magical and occult artefacts. Disliking or indeed making enemies of most other vampires, Jack prefers to exist in both the human and vampire worlds, never quite belonging to either.

Jack is reunited with Nadja when she travels to London with Guillermo to take up a place at the Supreme Vampiric Council, and after she ditches the council to return to Staten Island at the start of season 4, Jack returns there with her.

His tank top is tucked into his dark gray jeans. He has two silver chains clipped to his belt that hand over his upper thigh. On the opposite thigh, he has a polyamorous flag button pin and bisexual pride flag button pin attached to his jeans. His jeans have a few small rips. Two of the rips are noticeable sewed with white thread. Skin is still visible beneath. His jeans are tucked into black boots.

Sadie is classified as "Punk". Her hair is light brown with blonde highlights. The portion of her hair that frames around her face is dyed red. Her tongue shows a simple gold stud piercing. She has on a black choker with silver spikes. She is also wearing a beaded wesekh (collar necklace). The beads are set in seven rows: gold on the first row and between the other colours, red on the second row, blue on the fourth row, and light blue on the sixth row.

She has on an unzipped gray jacket with an UK flag patch on the sleeve. On the front panel of her jacket are three button pins: a bisexual pride flag, a polyamorous flag, and a skeleton. Piper is classified as "Anti-Fashion". She has two braids that frame her face. One braid has a red hair tie, the other braid has a blue hair tie. She's wearing a gray hoodie with three button pins: a rainbow pride flag, a bisexual pride flag and red button with unreadable black text. Under the hoodie is a green-gray shirt. Slung over her bicep is a pink backpack. It hangs precariously off her arm. She has her hand tucked into her pocket. Her arm is partly bent which helps stop the backpack from sliding off completely.
