Meteor shower!... all comets.

There was a continuation of that maestro music man that I never posted. Promptly after, I began trying to think about a double jointed comet...

Recently I've begun really liking creature designs with politely curled mantis arms/double joints (centaurs from rtts, god, they look so good), and I wanted to give it to Comet, though there was already the problem that her sprawled out arms were already really bad at supporting her biomechanically. I began sketching out 2 different shoulder placements - one where her shoulders were around the center of her underside, and one where her shoulders were around the same spot as they are now, except her arms would usually be bent so that the forearm (2nd forearm? the last segment of her arm) would be directly supporting her. It also would make her arms look deceptively short most of the time so it'd be a surprise when she reached outward and it turns out her arm is like twice the length it seems. Probably going with the latter option but the first option does look pretty buggy.

Also figuring out what I want for comet, storywise. I mentioned a western and it was bc westerns are like... one of the best ways to have a sapient being live out in the wilderness? Farmland n shit. That and kind of putting what's going on with Comet in a western context kind of helps me narrow down what I want.

Note: I have never watched a western movie in my life. Literally all i know is yeehaw and "this town aint big enough for the two of us". But that general vibe alone kind of helps with narrowing things down

i just woke up from a dream in which you were my roommate and had made a music man robot. and when we (me and some other people, probably the djmm community?????) came out to look at it, he eventually got in your car, sped into oncoming traffic, and immediately crashed and died

A weird detail is that the entire face save for the nose was an led screen, and you mentioned the cheeks couldn't work so the middle part of his face was just this stretch of darkness with eyes, a nose, and a glowing mouth. that and he just had 5, all-purple human legs instead. idk i thought i should tell you this 💀💀

I had this funny thought about Fritz & BB would understand comet, and sison relationship wrong

and I would think that comet would try to tell Fritz that sison is it normal, so weird and uncomfortable person. He doesn’t like him at all but Fritz would just tell him maybe he should just understand more he doesn’t seem like a talkative person

(he actually like to talk a lot with BB but he likes to freak out the people of that he doesn’t know specially comet don’t ask me why I just feel that he would do that)

and I think I’m getting better at drawing comet 💫

Finals next week and I know that I won’t stop posting. Could just become an addiction to just be on Tumblr (that’s a funny thing about Tumblr. nobody care about followers in there. (maybe some )It’s just fun and showing people how weird you are, and they will except it)

SMALL HELLO PAINT POST RAGHHH!!!

I was drawing a little on @artastic-friend's DJMM/MM Hello Paint board last night, now I'm gonna throw my drawings up. :D

FIRST OF ALL HOWEVER, I painfully DREW @ntls-24722's OC COMET BECAUSE FOR SOME REASON HE HAD A GRIP ON ME IN THAT VERY MOMENT.

March was there to witness me draw this nearly the entire time. 💀 I wanna say this took around 1 hour or so? Maybe a little more because I could not stop looking over it. 😭 As you can see by my tiny doodle alone, my hand was going through it. 💀💀💀 BUT I DID THIS FOR THE BIG MAN BECAUSE HE PRETTY!! ✨✨✨ I definitely wanna try to draw Comet more, but god damn, he is a piece of WORK. /lh

Anyway here are the rest of the doodles! :D This time they're just of DJ. Not a lot of drawings, but that's because I literally draw at a snail's pace. 🗿

This was originally just supposed to be a normal, regular picture of the retro/pilot/beta "music man" (I actually personally don't think it's music man but it's the only descriptor that we've got for this dude) from the SOTM trailer, but yesterday i saw a library's giant robot arm that sorts, retrieves, and returns thousands of books, and if the giant clawed arms really do belong to this behemoth, then.... I saw a comparison that could be made.

Not my best painting, I find the background to be a bit boring (to be fair, it was much less lively irl and looked like a warehouse) and the shading to be a bit inconsistent with the implied lighting, but here is the freaky old "music man" now working as a librarian.

Wasn't even entirely sure if these claws were a part of him, hence fuckass reconstruction of him crawling with his chest-arms. had to rewatch the trailer and my consensus is: I Think So!
