I don't think there's anything wrong with engaging with a show/project/game like this, but a lot, a LOT of people will make that judgement very quickly and then go for the more colorful funky guys when it comes to joseimuke. like even if they're not interested in them for girly target demo reasons, it just happens 😭 once you think that way it's eaay to think everything that they do is samey and not as flashy as the rest

like bb are a very interesting team!!!! they’re plot relevant, peak brotherhood and their history and hang ups are fun to analyse lol but then you look at other divisions. not only is posse the most plot relevant division, they even have life and death stakes in their relevancy lol. you have their bonds as brothers but bat is a far flashier team who also touts bonds as family, even if they aren’t related by blood. shipping tends to be very important within fandoms and fp and mtr, western fandom’s most popular teams, are also the most shipped poly divisions. you aren’t really turning towards bb for shipping unless you’re a very specific part of the fandom lol

the story itself took a minute to wrap bb in the fold since rei was that gateway and he and his real issues that involved the bb were introduced late i get why people might consider bb more lacklustre compared to others lol

Jakurai was easily the tallest among all of you, which logically meant that he was the victim of all of your cuddling, and Doppo’s and Hifumi’s. Basically being a family of four grown men often lead to serious cuddle time.

However, it gets even more serious when all of you are fucking drunk. Hifumi had bought a small bar for your shared penthouse. By some miracle, Doppo’s prize money was returned to him by a gracious fan of Hifumi’s, so the salaryman was able to contribute some of his funds (after the much needed groveling and thanking of course).

So now, after seeing that Matenrou’s song hit the top charts in Shinjuku and in some other districts in Japan (with the exceptions of Ikkebukuro, Yokohama and Shibuya), you were all in the mood to celebrate.

You set the mood by playing your favorite party music and dancing together with Doppo and Hifumi while an amused Jakurai sat quietly and drank his tea.

Hifumi prepared several drinks (mocktails for Jakurai because you wanted to party, but not that much) and made sure to label the glasses (because again, you wanted to party, but not that much). You, Hifumi, and Doppo basically finished a whole bottle of sake together and a couple of the host’s favorite concoctions. Naturally by the end of it, the three of you were drunk and all leaning on Jakurai in the couch.

You were all wearing your pajamas by suggestion of Jakurai who had enough foresight to figure that you were all probably going to pass out on the couch.

But somehow, you just fell on the fluffy rug on the floor (ya know, because it’s fluffy) and just told everyone to come. Hifumi and Doppo didn’t hesitate and just came up, while Jakurai just sighed fondly as he came to join you on the floor.

He sat down like the graceful assassin Princess he is and then lay down beside you, he tucked you into his shoulder and Hifumi followed suit by pinning Jakurai’s arm to the floor by using it as a pillow.

Half of Jakurai’s mind thought that it would be dumb in the morning, but the other half was occupied by the fact that Doppo’s arm was now slung over his torso and the salaryman’s leg was encircling his own. Doppo was also leaning on his arm. Jakurai adjusted so he could embrace Doppo, you, and Hifumi. Hifumi nuzzled closer to you and you leaned on Jakurai’s chest.

Doppo straight up passed out.

The doctor loosed a breath as you began braiding his hair with clumsy fingers, your eyes slowly closing and you giggles getting fainter.

Hifumi was braiding your hair while Doppo was just smelling Jakurai’s. Doppo said something about smelling good before he rubbed his face in it some more.

Jakurai sighed again and saw that you had fallen asleep. He smiled and kissed your forehead, not bothering to untangle your hands from his hair. You managed an impressive braid, considering you were drunk and all. He then pushed Doppo closer so that you were both resting on his chest while Hifumi still spooned you from behind. Jakurai made eye contact with Hifumi and did his best to stroke the blonde’s hair with his fingers.

The blonde smiled, him not so drunk because of his high tolerance. But he yawned and started blinking slowly. Jakurai watched as he too fell asleep.

Jakurai sighed and leaned back his head, incredibly, incredibly content. After years of being an assassin, then ten years of being just a doctor, then two years of being a rapper and a doctor and some years after that... he was so happy to be surrounded by three people who love him, three men nonetheless who love to spend time with him and just be with him.

Jakurai kissed Doppo’s cheek before he too allowed sleep to take him.
