Freedom of Conformity

You may naively think today

that it doesn’t matter what you say,

for you have freedom of speech, or may,

and trust me, I have sadly seen it,

from advertising to film and fashion,

mistaking spectacle and flash for passion;

the myth of normal is to be like the rest,

not to be better, and far from best,

what it really means to be on the curve

is to get what they think you deserve,

so don’t be different, don’t be strange,

don’t propose curve-shifting change,

and whatever you do, or what you see,

never question the powers that be,

Good afternoon everybody! It’s the weekend so you know what that means. It’s time to get it on! I was meaning to post this last night, but was so whipped from the heat that I didn’t get to it. Anyway, a few days ago, my boy @brianshiarappa and I had the honor of attending our favorite event: Midget Wrestling. It was crude, politically incorrect, and action-packed; my kind of night. As you can tell from the first pic, I brought my lucky wrestling mask with me from the first time we went. Signed by the wrestlers I may add. The event was balls-to-the-walls crazy! Those crazy dwarves were beating the living snot out of each other and it was epic! One of them even used a plunger 🪠 in the most creative way possible. We even got to flip off one of them when he was talking smack about NJ. I even got to see one of them up close in person. I pulled the old “up high” on him and jokingly threatened to punch me in the nuts. It was just that hilarious. Yup, there’s no better way to spend a night off from work than with your best friend, a few drinks 🍺, and a ring full of punch-drunk midgets. If you change your name legally I'm not going to call you by your former name. If your name is Tiffany and you have a penis, I will still call you Tiffany. But I draw the line at going against my personal beliefs just to make someone feel better or give them outside validation. No I will not respect your pronouns because it is my personal belief that males cannot be females and females cannot be males. Just the way that I can't stop forcing people to believe or say I'm going to hell for being gay, nobody can stop me from believing or saying that Tom with the beard and vagina is a female.

Borat 2 is a fantastic example of how to do humor that’s the furthest thing from politically correct without being offensive.

And this has to do with framing and what the humor was trying to say. All the  anti-semetic jokes were purposefully juxtaposed against depictions of actual Jewish people as really kind, compassionate, loving individuals and the jokes themselves were so over the top and so ludicrous that it was clear that all of this was a condemnation of anti-semitism, showing people how absurd these anti semetic viewpoints actually are. 

What I’m saying is, this kind of humor can work without coming across as punching down or being really cruel and mean spirited
