Arkingham G.O.I Personel Weapons Remake (2): The Arkingham Police Forces
Tumblr media
"Being an officer shouldn't mean suppressing your rights as a civilian, it's about becoming vigilant protectors and steadfast guardians of our beloved homeland.
Because with you, along with our excellence in service, and duty for the people of Arkingham, we can we can keep our streets safe from chaos, anytime, anywhere!" - APF
APF: ARK-Police Scout (This is a specially designed, select-fire, 30-round, special-purpose handgun used for the specified needs of the Arkingham Police Forces, and their tactically precise means of stopping crime and unnecessary violence through a comfortable and unique enhanced secondary; it also includes room for attachments such as flashlight, foregrip, rubber padding, extended barrels, customized sights, and so much more. Ideal for Personal Defense, this Weapon will pack serious damage, and even when magazines run dry, there is always your trusty backup weapon to resupply this PCC!)
APF: ARK-Compact Defender (A 26-round, submachine gun designed for both protection and execution of flawless, mobile duties, though most locals well knew it as the 'visually chunky-but-lightweight' submachine gun design; it was used by many G.O.Is within Arkingham such as the CPS, AIR, AMF, THO, and even the infamous ARMACOT PMC group. It is a well-loved SMG used in various combat, safety, duty, and rescue missions due to its simple construction, and modular body that features rails for attachments such as laser modules, customized sights, suppressors, and more available for this weapon!)

prologue/ ➤ part one / part ???
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
2… 3… 5… 8…? How many would you leave this time, you didn’t know. You were on 10 now, how many did it take till you got bored of this one too? This one wasn’t as fun, this one didn’t put up a fight, this one took all the fun out of it. It was too easy honestly, it made you bored, easily. You stopped yourself at 23, sighing as you stood up.
You walked over to the trash can lazily taking off your gloves, making sure to engulf the knife in both gloves before begrudgingly tossing it into the tiny metal tin trash can. The metal bang rang through the small office space as you walked to the door. You pull out a cloth from your pocket before turning the doorknob and heading out the door.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“What was his name again?”
The sound of stretching as he pulls the blue latex gloves over his hands quickly dissipates while approaching the house's front door.
“Darren Boyle, he’s some rich big-time director of a construction company.”
“…Is there a reason you’re telling me this man’s finances?”
“Yeah, actually…”
The EMT halts her walking and hands the report to him
“Nothing was taken from the home, no money, no belongings, nothing.”
He takes the report and looks it over.
“Yet he still has 23 knife wounds all over his body”
The walk to the office space was short and brief, with multiple people at the crime scene, and multiple things happening all at once. The flash of the camera, the sound of plastic evidence bags, and the smell… that smell, that concoction of iron and decay that permanently scars the nose with its presence alone.
The rest of the force was already present at the scene littered around, each doing different tasks.
Officer Kyle “Gaz” Garrick, is probably the smartest in the entire county. From someone who started as a mere medical student, that ended up not being able to bear the weight of being the cause of a lost human life, went to become someone who brought “life” and justice to the lost and their families. He is the forensics specialist of the team, offering his smarts and intuition to the force. Gaz can pronounce the cause of death by a simple examination of the body, as well as match DNA evidence to a perpetrator, blood, fingerprints, spit, etc.
Officer Johnny “Soap” McTavish, investigator as well as one of the best interrogators, right behind Officer Riley. Soap used to be a big-time private investigator sometimes, often, closing cases faster than the police department itself. This eventually led to the police department trying to recruit, and find, Soap to their forces for his high investigator talent, which landed him with the force, after a very eventful high-speed chase…
Officer Simon “Ghost” Riley, aka. death reincarnated. Was discovered from his time as a mercenary, and would finish any job no matter the morals or ethics involved. The blood from his past haunted him, when he retired from his brutal position, he discovered his now-current sheriff. Who heard his story and convinced Ghost to come out of his early retirement and become a detective. Ghost took this offensively at first, seeing the offered position as some type of “downgrade”. He ended up convinced into the position and is now one of the most well-known detectives in the nation.
That leaves the sheriff…
“Sheriff Price. It’s been a while, although I’d prefer if we didn’t have to meet under these circumstances.”
“Laswell, always good to see a familiar face. Although I'd have to agree, these circumstances aren't exactly.. ideal.”
“A killer in your part of the city. A serial.. killer.”
She says the last part while narrowing her eyes behind her shoulder at the now dead body
“So”
She says with her head still facing the body
“Whats your plan.”
It wasn’t a question.. it was a demand
She turns her head, her frustrated look now landing on the sheriff.
“To catch this prick.”
They both made heavy eye contact with each other. Trying to square up the other with their looks alone, the tension rising. that is until they are interrupted
“Sheriff! You have to see this.”
A shout from Gaz, across the home office. Price’s attention immediately being stripped away from Laswell and reattaching to his officer
Gaz stands from his crouched position near the victim’s desk, the Sheriff joining his side to glance at what he had found. In Gaz’s hands was a piece of paper, one that had been splattered in blood, It wasn’t just paper, it was a note.
… a note for the Sheriff

your roommate posts are so fun i was wondering what your take on like first few humans on the Citadel(say the year they got an embassy) and the impressions they left as roommatesXD
I'm glad you find them fun!
It's hard to say, the first humans on the Citadel must have been diplomats and political figures important enough to warrant having bodyguards. Getting their own housing and such.
I'd imagine no roommate situation allowed for humans yet, especially if a turian was already residing there. The first contact war made the human's notoriety spread far and wide, infamous for our "bloodthirst" and "aggressive cunning nature"
Skip a couple of years as the humans integrated into C-sec forces and we still held the bully reputation.
Sure, the other alien's views on use softened, but no one was going out of their way to befriend a human yet.
Especially, turians.
We picked on the golden goose of species, on the favourite child of the Citadel. When turians make up for more than 70% of all policeforce, it's easy to see why humans get misinterpreted as troublemakers by virtue.
Even the ones who admired humans did so in reverence to the alliance great feat of holding the line against the turian forces for three whole months. We were brand new, a newborn galactic species that just discovered mass relays, and the turians had all the advantages imaginable, yet it was them who suffered the greater mortality losses.
So both the good and bad rumours painted us in a very unkind yet strong picture.
Who would want someone like that to bunk near them? "What if the human sees me as weak? what if they pick on me? what if—" all very common doubts.
The Normandy by itself was deliberately a joint effort by the human alliance and turian hierarchy to mend relationships between the two species.
And yet, not a single turian was found aboard. At least not until Shepard recruited one. (Nihlus was a spectre, not a recruit. He was here for his own business)
Not out of malice for turians, but the first contact war memories were still fresh in Captian's Anderson mind, no doubt. All the friends he lost, all the horror he witnessed.
It would've taken years for aliens to start comfortably co-living with humans. If you couldn't afford to get your own place on the Citadel, your next step would be looking into human roommates because no other species would let you in.
But on other planets? Spaceships? It would've been a faster intergeneration.
A salarian who came to Earth to further his research only to realise how expensive everything is, deciding to look into shared housing, there were no other options besides a human. After a couple of weeks, he comes to the conclusion that you're not the vicious killer that your species's reputation makes you out to be...in fact, you're quite fun to be around.
A turian crew who were hired as security by a shipping company would eventually get used to the many humans on board, especially when the humans start inviting them to drinking games, poker night and to watch movies. They start appreciation the unique spirit humans have, one which they infected them with. becoming patients zeros to the "turian human are natural best friends" epidemic.
An asari scientist who was hired to terraform a new planet for human living, alongside the other human scientists. Working together and living in such close proximity in aluminium camps. She's wary of humans at first, doing her job then retreating to her own room. But the lack of communication really halts the progress of the mission, so she gives the humans a chance and starts attending their meetings, late night lab sessions...and it's way more casual than she expected. The atmosphere is light. It's just a bunch of scientists joking around whilst still getting work done.
-
Humans weren't the only ones with a bad reputation; qaurians and krogans shared our blight. When a human, a krogan and a qaurian walk into a bar, getting wasted drunk and complaining loudly about how they can't find a single shared housing plan because their snobby roommates keep rejecting them—only to spot each other across the bar and a figurative lightbulb lights up above their heads.
Renting an apartment together!
Yeah, the first to trust humans enough to become roommates with them weren't the "ever so righteous and benevolent" asari, or the "community service principled" turians, it wasn't even the "logic and rationality above else" salarians.
It was a quarian on her pilgrim, who spent all her money getting to the Citadel only to be faced with discrimination and blame for the geth situation.
It was a heartbroken krogan whose asari gf of 50 years just left him because her friends pressured her to. Only to end up realising how bad of an idea it was to keep the lease under her name.
Finding an offer online by a human who's looking for roommates, you already have an apartment—but the asari landlord raised the rent yet again, and working two jobs isn't cutting it—so you made a couple of posts online in roommate sites, yet all the offers you were given immediately pulled back once they realised you're a human.
Your post was like a beacon in the dark for them, they haven't even met a human before, but what's life without risk?

Why I hate the Police
Tumblr media
I am saying it very loud and clear: There is never going to be a just world as long as police exist. The system of policing is always going to be unjust and not compatible with any anarchist or solarpunk ideals.
Let me explain: Even in a world where police do not self-select to mostly employ conservatives with far-right leanings, the police is always going to hold an unjustified power over the people in a community. Because the entire thing about the police is that they get to employ violence. So even without a majority racist, ableist and queermisic policeforce, their existence says: "In certain scenarios violence is actually okay."
From an anarchist perspective, too, there is the aspect that police will also always hold hierarchical power over people. Which is something that anarchists obviously disagree with.
And the fact is just, that we do not live in an ideal world. We live in a world where the police self-selects to be more right leaning than the average. Which has several reasons.
For once, there is just the fact that the people who want to join the police are more likely to believe in hierarchies. They usually will also believe somewhat in the status quo - which in our world enshrines suppression of the marginalized groups and the lower classes in general. This alone makes sure that they will somewhat participate within the suppression of these lower classes, even if they are not explicitly racist or the like.
Furthermore we do know that within the police force an atmosphere is created where you are either with them or against them. We know that a lot of the people in power are in favor of certain abuses of the power the police holds. Which makes them select for police officers with similar ideas. If you say something against racism within the police, you gonna get bullied. If you actually take measures to get a fellow officer arrested after he abused his power... chances are you will get harassed. In some cases you might even get killed.
And then there is the problem that around the world (but most notably in the US) the police just are trained in violent escalation of situation - not in peaceful resolutions. And if you have a hammer, everything starts looking like a nail.
When people like me say: "Abolish the police!" others will answer: "But who will keep us safe?" To which I said: The police isn't keeping us safe. Rather it creates an additional danger to those people most likely to be the victims of crime either way. Even without all the corruption and what not... The police usually only get active in the aftermath of a crime. They do not prevent it.
And other than what some folks might tell you: No, it is not human nature to commit crimes and be violent. We would be a lot safer if we abolished the police and spend the police budget on things that actually prevent crime, like help for the pour, making sure everyone has clean water and food, and access to psychotherapy and such.
So, yeah... ACAB.

Out of curiosity, what happens to your clone ocs post order-66?
OHBOY. OOOOOOOOOOHBOY.
This is such an interesting question and the rusty gears definitely started to move. Because I usually work with fix-its and AUs in my inner cinema where usually O66 is prevented, this is really not an area I explored much!
...
Let's just say they are not alright after O66. WARNING: Mentions of canon character's deaths, mentions of suicide, actual suicide and visual depiction of it, nudity but genitals are not visible. Coruscant Guard has cultish vibes.
Also this is a very long post about my OC ramblings. Their fate is not set in stone.
My clone OCs I introduced so far are mostly corries, so they perspective about O66 is possibly more different than their brothers in the GAR. I try to write a coherent HC for them in mind that everything went wrong in the canon way, Thorn is dead and Fox is also killed by Darth Vader. I think the clones of the Coruscant Guard role as a policeforce became much more important later in the war when cititens started to openly express their dissatisfaction toward the war and toward the clones in general, being the very instruments of war along with the jedi. So dismantling protests, spying on people's social media and private conversations, and possibly framing famous and influental people to link them with terrorist - in which "terrorism" means everyone who is against the war, therefor against the Republic itself-, pretty much became the job of the Coruscant Guard. The emerging of the Empire would probably cause another waves of protests so the Guard is pretty much needed to maintain order in Coruscant. Depending on how much I want to torment these precious red boys, and how much I want to give them cultish-vibes, I don't think there were too much love left in them for outsiders, meaning: civilians, the senators they work with, the jedi, and most importantly: they brothers in the GAR. They are pretty much isolated at this point.
Tumblr media
Keeping up the moral inside the Guard was always an issue, and the Coruscant Guard Medical Team is quite unique in that aspect that they are taking mental health in consideration, because they have all the access for all the knowledge they need in order to keep their brothers in the most top condition - and alive. Suicide and self-harm rate was always high due to severe survival guilt and depression but the Chief Medical Officer, Headshot's initiative to study psychology, helped them to keep those number lows by introducing alternative stress-relieving methods, transforming the barracks to actual homes the troopers can return to, and helping developing various suicide preventive measures. After O66, the priority remained the same. Keeping the troopers healthy and keeping up the morals which was already at the lowest by this time.
Only Headshot is pretty much burnt out. The constant fighting for his brother's life, his own inability to set boundaries in order to help with their issues pretty much killed every empathy and kindness from his heart. Nothing has really changed in this little isolated world of theirs, only the name of the regime. But survival is at stake especially after the army started to recruit natborns into their ranks. New methods were needed. He heard how their dar'vode in the GAR handled the jedi. "Good Soldiers follow orders". It quickly became the new catchphrase inside the Guard too. Headshot had to remind the commanders to ensure the troopers still knew their duties, despite the higher up natborns stripping them from their freedom, their rooms, their possessions, but now the troopers had to share rooms with the rookie stromtroopers they had to train.
Only Commander Fox's death made everything worse. Commander Thorn died a heroic death, he sacrificed himself to the greater good, he is greatest example a guard can follow.
But Fox...
Fox died like he was the lowliest scum. Worse even. Neck snapped, thrown aside. There is no good explanation for that, nothing to glorify, nothing to be lied about. He died. Just like that. Heroes and invincible idols aren't supposed to die like... like that.
Lily didn't take it well who was there and saw the whole thing along with Blaze. If you followed me for enough time, especially this particular blog, you must be know this cutie right? :) More about Lily -> HERE Now this is him now:
Tumblr media
"Your blood would paint a beautiful picture in a name of peace and order." - Lt. Lily, commanding riot troopers against protesting civilians
After the Battle of Coruscant, the Guard suffered a lot of casualties, and usually through someone else's death was the only way to get a fast promotion. Lily, first generation shocktrooper, eventually got one, and after O66, after soon after Fox's death, he was promoted to Captain and training officer, and entrusted with the duty of training the future generation of the Coruscant Guard.
"I had to open my eyes to accept there is beauty in destruction too. Either that or nothing truly beautiful left in this world."
Lily didn't handle well that natborns started to live them and ruined the only safe-place they had in the whole planet. In the whole galaxy maybe. His personal belongings, treasures, carefully nurtured flowers were thrown away, colorful walls painted to steril-white, only old holopictures on his PocKam reminded him that he was more than just a living weapon.
What about Lily's friends, Blaze and Vorn?
Tumblr media
(Shit I like this sketch about him)
I haven't talked too much about Vorn. Bit awkward and appears not too friendly to those he doesn't consider a friend. He named himself Vorn after the tigers, but not as in wild and ruthless, but having the ability to conquer his emotions before acting (kind of like the buddhist views on tigers). He is loyal and responsible, but highly critical of... well, everything. He doesn't have too much friend, but he really grown to like Blaze, he is his self-proclaimed Ori'vod, also best friend and roomate of Lily. Vorn was one of the rare troopers of the Guard who actually served on Geonosis before being deployed to the Coruscant. I created this character first for the sole reason of someone being avid Fox-hater and being critical of him. In my universe, Thire emerged as Commander much more earlier than in RotS, and Vorn never forgave him, nor Fox about it, so aside from personal trauma's about Fox, envy is also present.
So if someone had really gained something from Commander Fox's death, is him. Marshal Commander Thire appointed him to lead the Planetary Defence Division after Fox's demise and he does it with pride.
Tumblr media
"YOU ARE ENSLAVED BY FEAR BECAUSE YOU FORGOT HOW TO BE ANGRY! YOU FORGOT THAT WE ARE THE WRATH OF CORUSCANT! THORN'S BURNING WINGS AND FOX'S RAGE OF FIRE! AND NOW I CARRY THE FLAMES!" - Blaze's last words.
And also Blaze. Youngest of the trio, a very energetic shocktrooper with fiery hair and enthusiasm that usually got him in trouble, despite trying to be a responsible trooper, worthy to the Guard. He got his name by accidently setting a speeder on fire while still being a shiny.
Blaze prepared for his extravagant suicide. When he got the news about the sudden announcement of mass retirement of the clones, he connected the dots.
"When you spend time as a guard beside politicans, you hear things. They never intented us retire. They never planned anything for us after the war. The Commanders lied to us to keep us in line and I don't blame them. I'm not an idiot. They had to do it. But now the Emperor suddenly announcing our retirement with severance pay? I'm not fucking buying it. I've heard rumors. Entire clone battallions disappeared into thin air. They are going to kill us. Oh no. I won't have it. I'll go out on my own terms."
Despite the newly tightened regulations, he dyed his hair once again for his signature colors, and worthy of his own name, he went out by setting himself on fire with the Coruscant Guard's emblem painted on his chest, just like Commander Fox's phase I armor, and one insignia on the shoulders.
Blaze's suicide at least shakened the Guard from their apathy, and some of them actually managed to desert. Riots started inside of the Guard that Thire beat down with bloody hands.
I think the Coruscant Guard as a whole had the longest time as troopers in service but in the end, those who didn't desert, eventually were shipped to those secret laboratories like the one of Tantiss to become science experiments and probably a lot of corries ended up like dead this way. They didn't have alternatives. They didn't have brothers to reach out, they are not aware that beside Coruscant, there was an entire galaxy waited for them to explore. Home is where the Guard is. If it's in death, then in death.
Now you may wonder where is my überblorbo, Deadshot from this list... hmm. Let's just say O66 and the victory of Darth Sidious would be the worst ending for him.
Tumblr media
Holy fuck he's hot
I hope you enjoyed my post, and if you have more questions about my OC's or you just want to see them in situtations (I really love the Vorn-Blaze-Lily trio :'<), don't hesitate to send an ask! Angst, whump, fluff, or just them just being silly ^^ I mean after this post, they really deserve some love :D

dropping by to say that amuro is not a "layered" character, he was just badly written. and i hate him. thank you for coming to my ted talk
I wouldn't necessarily say he's "badly written" tbh, it's more of a "he was not planned to be like that and it shows a little".
I honestly think he would've been more compelling and cooler as a bad guy (I've said it a million times before), maybe you could keep the teary backstory with the policeforce buddies even. But the whole "he's got three sides to him" thing? That's just so convoluted and overly complicated and for what?
I don't know... I miss me some bad guys lmao
I miss vermouth, I miss when gin was actually threatening... And with how popular bourbon is he could've been a pretty cool villain with crazy interactions with the main cast, he COULD'VE.
But again, Rum was also supposed to be like that and look at us now. I am BEGGING him to actually - do something lmao

Maxine Rockhoppierre headcanons for Corrupted Spiral
AKA, what happens when you have the primary cast of Novus but no Novus, part 1!
That being said, there are spoilers for Novus in here anyway.
Pre Arc 3
Maxine was born with a metaphorical silver spoon in her beak. Upper upper class, her family benefited from Polaris's stance as both a respected Spiral Power and as a magical world.
But oh, desolé! After the Polarian War, the nation of Pinguinonia was so weakened that the dreaded Walrusks conquered them! Tyranny, tyranny!
... not that that ever actually affected Maxine herself beyond certain international products becoming the slightest more expensive. She was able to live more than comfortably, even taking Commisionaire Maladay's wing in marriage (which effectively guaranteed that she and her family were safe from the cruelty of the Inspectors' Brigade)
(She's immune from the cops.)
Safe in her bubble with her political immunity, she misses some of the luxuries of her childhood pre-Walrusk, but doesn't care about them enough to rock the boat. She's not about to jeopardize everything she has and be thrown in the Basstille!
Arc 3, and pre Arc 4
After Nora helped spark the Revolution in Polaris's storyline and got Comm. Maladay imprisoned for treason against Pinguinonia, Maxine realized that she was no longer in her bubble of privilege anymore. She would have to shield herself another way.
And she did this by offering to fix her husband's wrongdoing. Let her take charge of the Brigade, and do right by the nation of Pinguinonia this time. The Brigade, at this point, was half the Polarian navy it used to be pre-Walrusk and half the policeforce that Empress Antuskette had reformed them as.
I'm sure having Maxine be in charge of Polaris's military won't cause any problems at all :)
Because she has such an important and volatile position, she ends up working closely with Red Rosa and Danton, who have become the new faces of Polaris's politics.
Manticore, and Maxine's bond with her
Manticore is a shapeshifter and master of disguise, and the most recent form he took on was a Moosetaur named under Rasputin, but with a minor twist. Her 'character', Sachsa, did not have the heart or guts for combat like his fellow Moosetaurs, but he didn't want to anger Rasputin for not being loyal to his plans.
So, Sachsa instead got hired as a secretary for Comm. Maladay. That way, he still was in line with Rasputin's plans.
When Maladay was arrested, Sachsa said he didn't want to lose his job and go back to the Maw, so Maxine kept him around as continuing the basic secretary work of the Brigade and acting as her personal Valet.
In actuality, Manticore just wanted to get close to the heart of Polaris's politics. The chaos of Spider and his children being released was opportunity enough, but now things have only turned for the more advantageous.
In this AU, Maxine doesn't act as dramatically abusive to Sachsa, because he has been loyal to her and Maladay for years, but she is certainly quick to remind him that his occupation and safety are in her hands if he ever speaks up too loudly.
(Ha, thinks Manticore. As if any pathetic mortal could jeopardize her true career and allegiances in the Schism.)
Corrupted Spiral
Mon dieu! The Spiral is corrupted! The Wizard has turned traitor and now aberrant magic runs rampant across each world!
... Oh, Polaris's magic is simply earthquakes that resurface old magic? Maxine doesn't see a problem with that. Polaris could use its old magic again.
Oh, and the Nibbelung of Karamelle are emigrating to Polaris en masse to avoid their world's new storms that flood their homeland? The boost in population is a boost in economy!
And Maxine surely wouldn't mind having access to the luxurious Karamellian chocolates the Nibbelung were so famed for-
what do you mean the Nibbelung can't actually make their chocolate-
Well, now Maxine is bitter, and hungry for the luxuries of her childhood. Greedy and ambitious. If Polaris is getting more powerful, should we not use that power?
Red Rosa wants to take things slow and respectfully, and to avoid making the same mistakes that Napoleguin did, painting a target on Polaris's back.
Maxine is impatient.
Hopefully, something useful comes of this... new second Spiral that's now connected to her own. Or else she might start hungering for more than just riches.
She might just start hungering for war.
And Manticore, who also idealizes the nostalgic past (this time of the Firstworld, rather than of the Napoleguinic Polaris), might just stoke the flames higher till Polaris and the rest of the Spiral burn.
