Today's knit and tea theme is apparently green!

Today's tea: Gyokuro, a lovely steamed green tea. I'm going to try doing multiple infusions of it today; I'm definitely enjoying the first round! It's a bit nutty, less grassy than green tea sometimes is; very smooth and flavorful.

Today's knit is my latest pair of hall-duty socks; these are the project I work on at school during passing periods and staff meetings, and I just finished them on Friday. It's just my basic sock recipe with a 2x2 ribbing, but the yarn is super thick (while knitting I was thinking it feels more like DK weight than fingering; now, looking at its Ravelry page, it's actually listed as worsted so I'm not sure how I bought it for socks in the first place but...OK, thick socks it is!) so these may be more of around the house socks if they don't quite fit in my work shoes. XD

Still not sure I would call it worsted. I knit it on US size 2 needles and I don't think I'd have done larger than US 3 with it for socks.

Betrachtungen...

Es gibt exakt 2 Möglichkeiten: entweder man wehrt sich gegen die arschgeigen, oder man gibt ihnen nach. Wer sich jetzt nicht wehrt, befürwortet ihre Vorherrschaft. So prinzipiell können die nachgeber auch gleich putins Eier küssen. Er freut sich bestimmt darüber.

Was anderes: was soll eigentlich dieser wessi nazi bei uns in Thüringen? Dieses schmierige etwas namens höcke. Seinem Outfit fehlt noch die rosa schleife am kopf...würde perfekt passen. Und seine "neue deutsche Männlichkeit" kann er sich mal in den *rsch stecken.

Die einzige Männlichkeit, die wir brauchen ist die, die uns befreit. Alle wollen nur macht, alle wollen einen unterdrücken, in irgendeine Form pressen. Stellt euch vor, es gäbe jemanden, der befreit, statt zu versklaven. Der Leben lässt, statt umzubringen. Und der auch mit Opposition leben kann. Stellt euch vor, jemand löst die Probleme, anstatt zu hetzen und verhaften zu lassen.

Das Leben ist kurz. Man ist länger tot. Mal sehen was im jenseits dann noch bleibt. Vllt kommt Putin nach seinem Tod ins Lager polarwolf. Für den Rest der Ewigkeit. Und Leute wie sellner werden remigriert. Und der Sonderbehandlung zugeführt. Was sie anderen tun oder wünschen, sollen sie am eigenen Leib erfahren.

Die 2. Woche in meinem Urlaub brachte uns zu einigen kleinen Ausflüge im Umland. Dabei haben wir auch den Zoo in Duisburg besucht und von dort stammt mein Bild der Woche. Roter Panda im Baum Ich könnte immer sehr lange vor dem Bereich der Roten Pandas stehen und den auch Katzenbären genannten Tieren zu sehen. Water Lily by Sybil R is the cutest dishcloth I've ever made. I had to fiddle with the instructions after making the first one (in lighter colors) and ending up with gaps at the tips of the petals, but the second one (in darker colors) turned out delightfully and I gave it to my uncle when he hosted us for Christmas. :-D

And last but not least is the current WIP...but Tumblr tells me I've just hit the limit for pictures in one post XD So I guess it's for the best that my Aeria by Linnea Ornstein is not yet a FO? I'll post it separately, it's too gorgeous to wait for it to be finished!
