Their pincers are extremely sharp, even when closed, resembling blades, but what makes them specially dangerous is the speed with wich they use them. PRAWNIARDs are know for constantly training the speed of they slashes, until they claws become faster than the eye can see.” Moveset: -Karate Chop -Jet Punch -Fury Cutter -Sword Dance
EBISHARP [Bisharp + Ebi (Shrimp in Japanese)] Water/Fighting The Pistol Shrimp Pokemon ->Evolves from PRAWNIARD after learning BOILING HOOK<- Abilities: Moxie/Hyper Cutter - Tough Claws (HA) Dex: "It leads a squad of PRAWNIARDs and controls a small territory under the command of a powerful KINGAMBA Its claws can deliver blows at speeds above the speed of sound, this punches are so fast they make the water around them boil.” Moveset: -Boiling Hook: Fighting type / pwr 90 / acc 95 / pp 10 “The user launches a punch at such a speed the water around its fist boils up.” -This might leave the opponent burn -This move power is boosted against water type pokemon or if it is raining -Razor Shell -Aqua Cutter -Soak
KINGAMBA [Kingambit + Gamba (Shrimp in Spanish)] Water/Fighting The Mantis Shrimp Pokemon ->Evolves from EBISHARP after defeating 5 wild EBISHARP using BOILING HOOK<- Abilities: Moxie/Hyper Cutter - Tough Claws (HA) Dex: "It controls a large territory under the ocean, with many EBISHARPs as its lieutenants, each one commanding a squard of PRAWNIARDs" It vibrates its claws with such speed they become searing hot. Being hit with them is said to feel as being hit with a hot branding iron. They use this burning pincers to mark its lieutenants.” Moveset: -Boiling Hook -Crab Hammer -Cross Chop -Guillotine
Finally finished my convergent Pawniard line, I think I made them at the begining of the year but Im just getting to finishing things by now
PRAWNIARD is based on a Velvet Blue Shrimp
Tumblr media
EBISHARP is based on a Bullseye Pistol Shrimp
Tumblr media
KINGAMBA is based on a Peacock Mantis Shrimp

i do think that togekiss and krookodile are surprisingly cute fits for them honestly. they could make it work
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
idk still what exactly that bug did, who got who, if it only happened on multi or if it was singles/doubles as well? a bug where they each got both pokemon resulting in a 4v8 on the multi lines would be insaaannne. but togekiss generally works better on singles for paraflinch and then i think krookodile fits with emmet's team better (over haxorus, sorry bud. even no longer being as good against the fire/water/grass core i feel like chandelure and eelektross mitigate that, otherwise i could imagine it over excadrill as well).
if i were to swap em i'd probably give togekiss on emmet's team a razor claw and then wish light screen nasty plot and air slash instead since it can't really rely on paraflinch in a 2v2 and eelektross can supplement the paralysis either way. if krookodile were on ingo's team I'd keep it the same but give it life orb (assuming it'd replace excadrill) or choice band if it was replacing haxorus

I've made a pokemon AU for Peter :3 yaaaay! Doubt I'm the first to draw him as a sneasler but I'm not gonna let it stop me.
Some information!
Sneasler ♂ lv???
Dark / Poison Ability: Insomnia (might change this) Lonely nature + quick tempered Main Attacks: Slash, Lash Out, Dire Claw/Poison Jab, Hone Claws/Nasty Plot Lesser used: Bite/Crunch/Jaw Lock, Close Combat, Thief, Endure, Spite
Design notes:
Very tall (6'5'') and thin, even by species standards.
Completely hairless (and featherless) and by extension, no facial or feet markings. Torso and poison are discolored (both blue)
Ripped off both his forehead and chest gems, there are faint scars where they used to be. The one on his chest is covered by a gem you gave him.
Wears a hood made from a Mightyena's pelt.
The back of his claws (the blue part) is razor sharp, they're basically gigantic knives. If getting backhanded by them doesn't kill you, the poison probably will.
From a distance or in dark lighting, he can be easily mistaken as a human. He can also speak our language (just like meowth), his voice is raspy and a bit deep, perhaps from an injury.
The PeterAU x Reader story outline below, if you're interested!
Character/Story notes:
(OOOPS this sort of became a whole story teehee oh well. This is basically what my outlines look like but I probably won't make this into an actual fic. So, enjoy!)
He has no name, but wouldn't mind if you gave him one.
He grew up with a fascination for humans, and even learned to speak our language, but was betrayed by the ones he had trusted. He almost died, and was left hideously disfigured in the eyes of his species (furless/featherless and discolored). For a long time he hated all humans, and would murder any unfortunate enough to enter his territory. Until he met you.
He saves you from being eaten by a pack of Mightyenas, which goes against his usual hatred for your species. He stalks you through the mountain forests for a while, thinking that he'd gather reasons why you deserve to die so he can savor killing you himself.
Instead... he gets attached, and that infuriates him. From the shadows, completely unbeknownst to you, he helps you return to civilization. He looked forward to forgetting you, and going back to the worldview he's comfortable with.
But then you keep coming back to his territory, which is bad for two big reasons. He doesn't like the effect you have on him, and the area is dangerous... he doesn't want you getting hurt. So, without revealing himself, he tries multiple times to show you how his mountains are no place for a human. Nothing works. Ironically, he also does things to protect you from real threats.
His fleeting attachment for you grows into a burning obsession in time, and he wants so badly to interact with you. But not only is he a pokemon... he is also ugly.
One day he slips up, and you spot a glimpse of him through the trees, but it's too shaded and you mistake him for a person, and you call out to him. Instantly understanding what you've mistaken him for, he tentatively responds, but refuses to leave his hiding place. You figure he's just shy, but are happy to see another person who isn't afraid to visit these mountains, which have a horrible reputation. Probably because he's been killing people, but you don't know that. It's a shame, because you find it so beautiful up here...
Visiting him becomes routine for you. He says some really weird things, but the way he views the world is so unique and refreshing, and you form a fast friendship. He is very stubborn about remaining out of sight, but does start altering his appearance so he can stop worrying that the occasional glimpse you do get might give him away. He tailors a crude Mightyena hood for himself to obscure his face and ears.
He becomes desperate to spend more time with you, especially when you start talking about moving away someday soon, away from the town full of people who don't understand you. He wants to go with you... he wants to be your pokemon, but thinks you won't accept him as he is. His past with humans has him believing that trainers only value beautiful or strong pokemon. So he starts doing crazy things to prove his worth. Like, killing the strongest pokemon in the area, and leading you to its corpse to gauge your reaction. He hoped you'd be in awe and wonder what could've felled such a beast, and then he would reveal that it was him... but instead you were terrified, and sad for the dead pokemon.
It shakes him, makes him hate himself so much more. If a monster isn't what you want... then he'll just have to become human for you. He destroys the parts of himself that makes him different from you, starting by ripping off the gems on his chest and forehead. His claws will be next... but the pain and blood loss from just the gems is too much, and almost kills him. You find him while he's passed out, and although you don't recognize that he's who you've been speaking to, you rush him into town and save his life.
He wakes up in a pokemon center surrounded by strange humans, and freaks the fuck out. He wounds one of the nurses badly and would've killed someone he didn't hear you screaming at him to stop. The future he built up in his head, of either becoming your pokemon or close enough to a human that you might accept him, shatters in an instant. He runs, breaking out of the building and mindlessly fleeing into the mountains. You're shocked by his reaction, and something about the silhouette he makes as he escapes through the trees is familiar...
The people in the town know that he must be the monster that's been killing people, and at the same time, you realize that he's actually the boy from the mountains. Your dear friend. An armed mob storms into his territory intent on revenge, despite your protests. They locate his den and start a fire to smoke him out or kill him via burning or suffocation.
You had followed them, and when they start the fire you try to physically stop them. They're stronger though and throw you to the ground, yelling insults at you for defending such a loathsome creature. They kick you into the den so you can burn with him.
You hurry further inside but can't seem to find him... instead, he finds you. He lunges from the shadows behind you, not realizing who you are, pinning you to the ground and snarling in your face. He would have ripped your jugular out with his teeth if you hadn't wrapped your arms around him and hugged tight, instead of fighting him off like he expected. It confuses him and he thrashes to get away but you don't let go, and he slowly comes to his senses, realizing that it's you.
Why are you here, after everything he did? That he's done, his reputation as a people killer? You know who and what he is now, but you're still here and the way you hold him, whispering soothingly into his ear... Is this really happening or has he finally lost his mind? He breaks down and squeezes you back, sobbing into the neck he'd been seconds away from tearing his teeth into.
Smoke starts robbing his den of breathable air and brings the both of you out of the moment, forcing you to confront the situation at hand. You try to run back to the exit first, but it's engulfed in flames. He takes you further inside, to where he usually sleeps, and light shines through a crack in the rocks above. He pushes you up to it and you crawl out, but he's too big to follow and he urges to go without him. This is the fate he deserves.
But you refuse, and start tearing at the stone and dirt above the opening with your bare hands. It finally sinks in, seeing you desperately trying to save him, just how much you really care and maybe... maybe that means his life might be worth living after all. That he deserves another chance.
He joins your efforts and uses his claws to pry apart more of the stone. It takes a gargantuan effort, and he starts to pass out as the oxygen in his den dwindles. You grab onto his arm and pull with all of your strength, and against the odds are able to drag him out.
You're both exhausted and completely out of breath, but you drag him into another embrace anyways. You tell him to never ever sacrifice himself like that again, that he's so important to you and you'd be devastated to lose him. You ask him... if he would go with you, away from here, and although the strong emotions that overtake him have him choking up too much to respond with words, the way he holds you back is all the confirmation you need.
Together the two of you travel far, far away, going on an adventure that explores the best and worst that humankind has to offer, and form an unbreakable bond.
Aaaaand that's it! Sorry if it's pretty cheesy hahahaha it's just what my brain went for in the short amount of time I wrote this up. Again, probably not going to write an actual fic out of this (or at least I won't consider it until my current one is finished) but I had a lot of fun and it was a nice little break before delving back into Angels Fall. Hope you guys liked it too >w</

so i love me a good sneasel!ingo fic, don't get me wrong
but also you cannot convince me The Overachieving Pokemons Georg Warden of the Lineaged Nobles of the Cliffs Ingo would not, at a minimum, have at least 1-3 razor claws on his person at any given time. possibly up to 8 or more if he's actively collecting them from distortions. he is well aware of how a sneasler evolves from a sneasel.
what im saying, is, emmet goes to sinnoh, and instead of Wacky Hijinks With Funny Tiny Sneasel Brother Time, is immediately grabbed, hoisted over the shoulder of, and summarily carried off by an 8ft tall extinct sneasel evolution wearing the uniform and shredded jacket of a guy that supposedly should have kicked it several centuries past.* because SOME Legendary That Shall Not Be Named Royally Fucked Up The Instructions On Sending A Human Through Time And Accidentally Made Him A Sneasel (it was Arceus. Arceus Done Fucked It Up. Dialga is legitimately baffled how It managed this sheer level of Fucked Up-edness doing Dialga's like literally One Job instead of just like. consulting it on the matter.)
-
bonus points if Lady Sneasler tagged along. and brings some eggs. which Ingo is pleased as punch over. except then he gets to be absolutely mortified because the people here think they're (biologically) his. I mean. he's absolutely 100% Dad Who Stepped Up™ energy when it comes to caring for the eggs and raising the hatchlings, but that certainly doesn't help in denying the allegations. Also that he can't speak Human but like. mostly the former
(their genetic father is the alpha lucario that inhabits the northern cliffs of the Highlands that border the Icelands. just as like. a side tangent. I forget where I first heard the idea from but Hell Yeah I'll Integrate That Into My Belief Sysytem)
*wait no actually Lady Sneasler would definitely be the one to forcibly abduct this shiny warden outcome she sees just wandering the street. if another noble wanted this one they should've claimed him sooner. Ingo's great with the kids, but there's only so much he can otherwise do in a sneasler body with no opposable thumbs anymore. and as if by divine intervention (much like the previous ingo that appeared for her) this off-brand Ingo just got plopped in her way, so of course she's gonna haul it off back to the new nest!

If I could make a ROM Hack, I would make Eevee the most annoying pokemon to evolve.
All well and good until Eevee reaches level 10 ~ 15 or levels up with max friendship, then their unstable DNA goes bonkers. The old methods still works, but EVERYTHING works. In a patch of grass? Leafeon. Fighting while surfing? Vaporeon. Desert? Espeon/Umbreon. Indoors? Jolteon. Sunny day was active? Flareon. Sandstorm? Umbreon. Rain? Vaporeon. Hail? Glaceon. Eevee was paralysed? Jolteon. Infatuated or confused? Sylveon. Poisoned? Umbreon. Asleep? Espeon. Burned? You know.
This includes leveling up with items. Razor Claw? Glaceon. Reaper cloth? Umbreon. Choice items? Flareon. Tm/Hms? Jolteon. Berries/consumables? Leafeon. Potions? Vaporeon. Metal coat? Espeon. Upgrade? Jolteon. Oval stone? Sylveon. ect.
More than one conidtion? 50/50, 33/33/33 ect.
Eventually the player gets fed up with pressing B to cancel Eevee's evolution all the time so they slap on an everstone. This rock is the only thing that can contain Eevee's boundless natural energy from trying to evolve. Unkowningly, they just increased Eevee's base stats to 540. This is slightly higher than the other Eeveelutions and making it on par with them with the drawback of no items, making it more viable for a main story playthrough.

A team for Starlo from Undertale Yellow, requested by Anonymous!
Ponyta - If you've been accepted by Ponyta, its burning mane is mysteriously no longer hot to the touch.
Ninetales - The flickering flames it spews from its mouth leave its opponents hypnotized. Then, this extremely intelligent Pokémon attacks.
Tauros - When Tauros begins whipping itself with its tails, it's a warning that the Pokémon is about to charge with astounding speed.
Maractus - Once each year, this Pokémon scatters its seeds. They're jam-packed with nutrients, making them a precious food source out in the desert.
Skorupi - Its claws are not only razor-sharp but poisonous, making Skorupi a highly dangerous Pokémon. It seems to be weakened by cold temperatures, however.
Sandslash - The drier the area Sandslash lives in, the harder and smoother the Pokémon's spikes will feel when touched.
Details:
Cute character! I hadn’t even realized Undertale Yellow was finished. Probably should check that out, I was a massive Undertale nerd back in the day.
I gave him a mixed team, two genuine picks and then Pokemon that align with his western persona. I picked Ponyta and Ninetales, for farm life and for the torch he carries for Ceroba. tfw that guy who liked you is carrying around a Pokemon that looks very similar to you.
Tauros was picked as a bull stand-in, I chose Maractus over Cacturne since I felt a Dark-Type didn’t really fit, Skorupi is a scorpion with the Sniper ability, and then I wanted Sandslash for that last really desert-y pick.

dedicated to the friends and their interpretations that breathe life into these characters
and all my thanks to @broh3m3 who sat with me as i somehow autopilot doodled a quick razor claw into this mix (laughing emoji)

I forgot to take my meds last weekend and accidentally spent way too much time dreaming up pokemon teams for ffvii characters, so here's the one I made for cloud
Tumblr media
I'll put details under the cut. I tried not to make the team complete trash but I definitely chose form over function when I had to lmao. I accept no responsibility for what would happen if you tried using it
Tumblr media
I'm not skilled enough to make custom sprites, so I just did a recolor of volkner. blond, spiky-headed, depressed... good enough
Tumblr media
species: altaria
ability: cloud nine
item: grip claw
moves: fire spin, will-o-wisp, substitute, roost
well of course I need to give cloud the cloud pokemon. named nibel because nibelheim's name is derived from niflheim in norse mythology, meaning "home of mist/fog..." or maaaybe cloud, if we stretch it a bit. that's right, nibelheim is a big ol pun.
no meaning behind the ability choice other than more cloud.
as far as the set goes, well. we're immediately getting this out of the way: I am a terrible person. grip claw causes binding moves to last for seven turns every time. and our binding move is... fire spin. and we also have will-o-wisp for good measure.
substitute because a fake nibelheim was reconstructed.
roost because it was cloud's home I guess
Tumblr media
species: perrserker
ability: steely spirit
item: life orb
moves: iron head, close combat, double-edge, foul play
I chose perrserker to represent cloud's punisher mode because he can use it to self-induce the berserk status.
the life orb as well as the stronger but more reckless moves like close combat and double-edge reflect how the berserk status makes cloud deal and take more damage
Tumblr media
species: revavroom
ability: overcoat
item: adrenaline orb
moves: gunk shot, spin out, high horsepower, shift gear
thought about naming it fenrir, but decided to save that for another mon, so here we are with the hardy-daytona.
adrenaline orb raises speed when intimidated, which felt pretty appropriate for the bike cloud uses to escape the shinra building. spin out, high horsepower, and shift gear should all be pretty self-explanatory
Tumblr media
species: aegislash
ability: stance change
item: razor claw
moves: iron head, sacred sword, retaliate, swords dance
quintessential big sword video game character needs big sword pokemon. named after cloud's ultimate limit break of course.
omnislash guarantees critical hits, so razor claw boosts the holder's critical hit ratio. sacred sword and swords dance are... sword-related. as for retaliate, its power doubles if an ally fainted in the previous turn. since cloud uses omnislash in his final duel against sephiroth and sephiroth is directly and indirectly responsible for the deaths of multiple people that cloud cared about, it seemed appropriate
Tumblr media
species: lycanroc (dusk form)
ability: tough claws
item: assault vest
moves: stone edge, drill run, trailblaze, accelerock
here's fenrir! it's just a wolf pokemon lmao, inspired by whatever cloud's got going on in advent children. I went with dusk form specifically because cloud has both light and dark in his character arc.
honestly, the rest of the set is not super thematic, aside from trailblaze raising speed and accelerock having priority
Tumblr media
species: deoxys (normal form)
ability: pressure
item: life orb
moves: psycho boost, meteor beam, superpower, extremespeed
cloud can have one (1) mythical pokemon, as a treat. or maybe not a treat, considering. space virus pokemon seemed too perfect not to use. I chose normal form because cloud eventually becomes the most well-adjusted of the four big Jenova Havers in the end, somehow????
the real reason that jenova has the pressure ability is because that's the only one deoxys gets! but let's pretend I chose it because of the compulsion of reunion or whatever.
item is life orb again because being infused with jenova cells gives you cool powers, but Watch Out! similar with superpower. extremespeed has no drawbacks though, so we've got that going for us. and I'm a terrible person again, because here comes meteor beam ready to destroy the planet. and we also have, uh. psycho boost. for the psychosis. yeahhhh
since I've already spent way too much time thinking about it, I might do this for the other characters too

@heropartnerweek - Day 2: Human AU | Crossover | Evolution
Tuft was very quickly beginning to understand why Entei was referred to as a Legendary Pokemon.
Panting hard with their heart beating at their ribs, Tuft sprinted as fast as they could, trying to outrun the enraged legend that chased after them. They had been so confident at the start. Even though Buizel had been broken and tossed aside like a ragdoll, Tuft was so sure that they and Poppy could take Entei on. They could do anything together!
Entei humbled them quickly.
Nothing Tuft threw at him seemed to work. Every burst of flames was consumed by Entei’s own roaring inferno. Every psychic beam and blast was avoided or batted aside. Tuft’s fangs and claws harmlessly bounced off Entei’s sturdy hide. Nothing they tried was working. Poppy was even worse off, with Entei acting as if her attacks weren’t even worth acknowledging.
And legends above, Entei was so powerful! When he fired off a Fire Blast at Poppy, Tuft stupidly jumped in the way, thinking they could take the hit, only to be violently thrown across the caldera by the force of the blast, smashing into the wall with a painful *CRACK, the tip of the fur on their flanked burned black from the intense heat, despite their typing. Poppy had screamed their name before turning on Entei herself, charging towards him recklessly, only for him to effortlessly dodge with an Extreme Speed, dashing behind her and releasing another Fire Blast at her point blank.
To their credit, the two managed to pick themselves back up quickly. They hadn’t spent so long training to go down so easily. But they couldn’t keep this up forever. Entei was both an unstoppable force and an immovable object, shrugging off everything the duo threw at him and retaliating with flames hot enough to replace the sun or blows strong enough to break mountains, barely giving the two any time to recover before continuing his assault.
Tuft skidded on their paws as they made a sharp turn around a boulder, trying to throw Entei off their tail, hoping to put some distance between them. They thought that it worked for a moment before a shadow passed over them, Entei’s form blurred by his Extreme Speed, his jaw open revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth moving to Tuft’s neck, only to be intercepted by Poppy smashing her fist into his lower jaw, the force and his speed sending him flying off to the left.
Entei shook his head and recovered, releasing a pair of Fire Blasts, forcing Tuft and Poppy to dodge in opposite directions, separating them again. Tuft stumbled on their paws, exhausted from the battle, unable to recover from their dodge in time to see Entei smash his front paws into the ground, a line of rocks ripping out of the stone in a line straight towards Tuft. The Stone Edge smashed into their stomach, ripping the air from their lungs and sending them flying upward, only to fall and crash back into the ground, the stone cratering beneath them.
“TUFT!” Poppy screamed, before turning her attention to Entei, her face twisted in anger. She launched herself at him, fist reared back and glowing with energy. Tuft tried to push themself up, opened their mouth to scream and tell her to stop, but their voice wouldn’t work and their limbs couldn’t lift them. They watched helplessly as Poppy threw herself at Entei recklessly again, her flurry of attacks whiffing past Entei as he weaved from side to side before flames erupted from his mouth and he clamped his jaws down on Poppy’s midsection, lifting her up and shaking her wildly before tossing her aside.
Silence descended upon the battlefield as Poppy hit the ground, bouncing a few extra feet away, Tuft barely able to hear the bubbling magma over their heartbeat, the violent *THUMP THUMP THUMP drowning everything else out as they stared at Poppy, covered in bruises and burns. She pressed her arms into the ground, her entire body shuddering with effort as they tried to push herself up, only to fall on her face, kicking up a small cloud of dust.
‘Get up,” Tuft begged. ‘Please, get up!’
“Pathetic.”
Entei’s booming voice demanded Tuft’s attention, forcing their exhausted eyes to lazily move over to the beast, seeing him staring down at them impassively, barely a scratch on him. He looked between Poppy and Tuft with an almost bored expression, as if they were barely worth the effort he put in.
“Is this truly the best you can manage?” he asked condescendingly. “You dare to intrude upon my domain, despite my warnings, and yet you cannot even manage to scrape together the power it takes to be worth my time?” His impassive face twisted into a snarl as he spoke. “So be it.”
He took one last look between the two of them before making his decision, taking slow, decisive steps towards Poppy. Tuft felt their body go cold as Entei casually strode towards Poppy, who was still struggling and fighting to get back up, eyes screwed closed and body shaking. ‘No. No no no. No no no no no no no!’
Entei stopped as his shadow loomed over Poppy. “You,” he declared. “You shall be first.”
‘No, not her!’ Tuft tried to scream. ‘Take me. Take Buizel. I don’t care, anyone but her!’ A stab of guilt ripped through Tuft’s heart at the thought, but they couldn’t find it in themself to care. They couldn’t lose Poppy. It would destroy them.
Entei raised one massive paw, positioning it over Poppy’s head.
‘Please.’
A spark of warmth ignited in Tuft’s chest.
‘Please.’
Entei’s claws extended, body tensing as he prepared for the kill.
‘Please.’
“Goodbye.”
‘Let me save her!’
*THUMP THUMP
Entei’s paw stopped mid-swing, his eyes narrowed. He looked around the caldera, carefully scanning the terrain.
*THUMP THUMP
“What is this?” he demanded.
Tuft barely heard his voice. Without realising it, they had risen to their feet, the warmth in their chest growing brighter and brighter. It took them a second to realize that their scarf had started glowing, iridescent light coating the fabric, flooding the caldera in a rainbow of colour. The sound of a steady heartbeat filled the air, Tuft somehow knowing it wasn’t theirs.
*THUMP THUMP
Poppy slowly rose to her feet, her matching scarf igniting in rainbow light, forcing Entei to shield his eyes and stumble back a couple feet. Hope filled Tuft’s heart seeing her get back up, broken and bruised, but still standing.
‘I’m not going down. Not like this.’
They could never explain it, but Tuft knew that wasn’t their thought. It was Poppy’s, her voice finding its way to Tuft. Their scarves thrummed with power, the beating of the unknown heart in time with their own.
‘I have to save her.’
‘I won’t abandon them.’
‘We aren’t going to lose!’
Sheer white light flooded Tuft’s vision as their body ignited in pain. Their tiny body burned with power, a fire burning through their veins. Their limbs began to warp, flesh bubbling and stretching, before expanding all at once, their bones snapping into place. Tuft instinctually pushed up on their front paws, moving to stand on two feet as their front paws morphed into hands. The fur around their waist expanded outwards in a flurry, turning into a crimson skirt, the fur on their new arms moving to match and form the sleeves of a dress. The tufts of fur in their ears billowed out, flowing in the wind like flickering flames, their tail flowed behind them gracefully in a way it hadn’t before.
As the light faded away, Tuft opened their eyes to see Entei standing, his eyes blown wide in shock and awe, and to their surprise, he didn’t seem quite as tall as he was before. Tuft looked down at their body, seeing their new form. Gone with the little fennekin from Serene Village, the little kid that was never good enough for anyone except one strange girl.
Instead, Tuft the Delphox stood tall, their body thrumming with power.
“Oh hell yes,” Tuft heard Poppy say, a grin in her voice. “This is what I’m talking about!”
Tuft looked over at Poppy, feeling their heart skip a beat. Just like them, she had evolved, a towering sceptile where she once stood. Her hoodie had grown with her, the hem of it resting against her massive tail that reminded Tuft of a strong pine tree. Poppy was looking down at her arms with a sadistic smile, clenching her fists and watching as the new blades attached to her wrist expanded and shrank as she did. Tuft couldn’t help but think about how amazing she looked, the soft features of a treecko that never seemed to fit Poppy replaced with sharp cuts and edges that suited her perfectly.
“Woah,” Tuft breathed, grinning wide as they drank in every facet of Poppy’s new form, bringing her attention over to them. “You look awesome!”
Poppy didn’t say anything for a moment, her eyes raking up and down Tuft’s body. “You’re not lookin’ too bad yourself,” she eventually said, something strange that Tuft couldn’t place in her tone.
A powerful stomp dragged their attention away from each other and back to Entei who still towered over them. He glared at the two with the same disdain, but also with a new bit of caution. He was afraid of them.
Good.
“…I don’t know what form of magic this is,” he growled, “But it matters not!” He let out a mighty roar, flames erupting around him. Tuft didn’t even flinch, any fear they once had gone. “I am not one to fall to pathetic mortals like you.”
Tuft sucked in a breath, knowing that was the wrong thing for him to say, which was confirmed when she glanced over to see Poppy seething, the razor-sharp blades on her wrist glowing bright and extending into the size of swords. Determined not to let her have all the fun, Tuft took a commanding step forward, striking a pose.
“We aren’t just some random mortals!” they declared, holding their fist in the air. “We’re Team Braveheart! Explorers of the world, protectors of the weak!”
Poppy rolled her eyes, though the grin on her face told Tuft they were enjoying this. She cracked her knuckles, giving Entei a smirk. “And we excel at taking down arrogant ‘mons that a due a beatdown.”
Entei snarled in response, his body tensing. “Enough of this!” he roared. “I grow tired of this pointless prattling!” Stone cracking beneath his paws, he launched himself forward towards Poppy. She took up a battle stance to counter, but Tuft was at her side in an instant, stepping in front of her and throwing a hand out, palm forward, feeling power at their fingertips like never before.
The sound of snapping and crackling pops filled the air as fireworks danced between their fingers for a moment, before *BOOOOM, a massive explosion of Mystical Fire burst from their palm.
The force of the explosion threw Entei back, the beat flying through the air before impacting on the ground, skidding against the stone. He recovered quickly, shaking himself off, a brief look of surprise on his face that quickly faded into anger. Tuft only grinned wider, feeling the fire in their veins just begging to be let out. ‘Oh I could get used to this!’ they thought.
With that, the fight was back on in full. Entei roared and prepared to charge again, but Poppy launched herself forward first with a pair of Leaf Blades, spinning slashes left and right, forcing Entei to jump back, dodging and weaving. Tuft snapped their fingers, firing off a Psybeam that impacted on his temple, sending him cross-eyed for a moment, just enough for Poppy to close the gap and slash his face once, twice, three times before she was sent back by a blast of flames. She flipped through the air, easily landing on her feet, brushing herself off, almost completely unscathed.
Slamming his front paws into the ground, Entei summoned up another Stone Edge, boulders ripping through the earth towards Tuft which they only grinned at. Holding their paws out, they grasped the stones with psychic energy that flowed from them far too easily, stopping them in place. But apparently that was only a distraction, because Entei shot past them towards Poppy, wreathed in flames.
Tuft called out to her, but Poppy didn’t move, taking the attack head on, letting Entei impact her chest, leaving a massive burn across her red belly. Tuft could see the anger in Poppy’s eyes as she grabbed Entei by the fur around his neck, hefting him over her head and slamming him into the ground, following up by spinning and SLAMMING her tail into him, pressing him further into the stone, leaving a crater in her wake. Entei threw himself forward, trying to bite her, but Poppy deftly dodged and leapt backward, Tuft using the opening to lift the Stone Edge she was holding out of the ground and throwing it back at him. Entei’s eyes went wide for a moment before he exploded in flames, shattering the stones before they could impact, but still getting showered in shrapnel.
As the flames died down, Tuft saw Entei panting hard, his face covered in slash marks, his perfect hide finally showing signs of damage. She growled lowly at the two, incredulous anger in his eyes.
“This shouldn’t be possible,” he snarled. Poppy let out a scoff, crossing her arms and giving him a condescending grin.
“What’s wrong?” she asked snarkily. “Did you overestimate the strength of your type matchup against me?” Tuft delighted in how Entei’s face twisted in fury at that.
“Silence!” Entei bellowed, pillars of flame erupting around him. “I am above this! I do not have time to continue dealing with you mongrels. I’ll finish this quickly.”
Poppy glared at Entei, but Tuft couldn’t help but continue smiling. They were enjoying this. The power at their palms, the rush of adrenaline, the roaring in their ears. They finally understood why Poppy loved fighting so much. Did she always feel this powerful? Tuft spent so long thinking they were holding her back, but now they could keep up! They could fight as her equal. And legends above did it feel good!
“You’re right,” Tuft said, rolling their shoulders and walking over to Poppy’s side. “It’s time we finish this.” Their eyes quickly scanned the battlefield, seeing broken stones and debris littering the floor of the caldera. A spark went off in their mind as they as an idea popped in. “Psst,” they whispered, nudging Poppy’s shoulder. “Buy me some time?”
Poppy gave Tuft a look for a moment before giving them a wolfish grin after finding what she was looking for, before charging at Entei. The two lock into battle, slashes of blades and claw, volcanic infernos and draconic flames scorching through the air. Entei blurred with Extreme Speed, but Poppy was unphased, catching him with a Protect and SMACKING him in the face with a Drain Punch.
As the two clashed, Tuft took a few steps back, letting themself fade into the background and gathering their energy, feeling their fur stand on edge and their ears lift up. Psychic power danced through the air, a thin layer spreading outward across the ground, slowly lifting up every little bit of rock and stone that it touched, before flinging them up into the air.
The sky slowly started to darken as Tuft sent more and more debris up into the air, straining at the effort of holding it all up in the air. Once they started feeling themself reach their limit, they opened their eyes and grit their teeth. “Poppy!” they yelled.
She immediately gave them a nod, ducking under Entei launching himself at her with a Flame Charge and twisting around, wreathing her tail in draconic purple energy and sending him flying with a Dragon Tail. Entei forced himself to his feet again and took a step forward, but Tuft lifted a finger, tutting and shaking it.
“Last chance to back down,” they said.
Entei snarled in response, narrowing his eyes at them. “I refuse.”
“Wrong answer. You really should reconsider.” Entei laughed, shaking his head with a twisted grin on his face.
“A pointless bluff,” he scoffed. “I see through your tricks. You think you can intimidate me into backing down? I know weakness when I see it.”
Tuft only grinned. “Oh well,” they shrugged. “I gave you a choice. But what happens next is up to you.” They paused for a moment, letting their words sink in before impatience got to them. “Up to you,” they repeated. “Up to you…. I said up-”
“I heard you,” Entei roared. “What gibberish are you-”
Realization washed over him as he finally noticed the shadows on the ground, making him look up. Tuft relished in the fear in his eyes as he finally saw the thousands of stones that floated through the air, the sky blotted out by Tuft’s own personal asteroid field.
“Bye-bye!”
Tuft snapped their fingers, and at their command every stone stilled for a moment before firing off like a gatling gun, hurtling towards Entei. His form immediately blurred as he launched himself into an Extreme Speed to escape. But the barrage covered the entire arena, stone impacting every inch of the caldera except for where Poppy and Tuft stood, courtesy of a Protect dome that Poppy had put around them.
A thick cloud of dust exploded out, making it impossible to see anything behind the blurred barrier that surrounded them. A cacophony of shattering stones and pained roars filled the air, forcing Tuft to cover their sensitive ears. A minute of agonizing screaming passed before Tuft’s attack ended. Poppy held the barrier up for a few more moments, just to make sure, before finally dropping it, the cloud of dust gently floating into their space.
Tuft gathered up a bit of psychic energy in their palms, sending out a weak shockwave to push the fog away, revealing the broken battlefield, the ground covered in tiny bits of stone and littered with craters from their fight. And in one lay Entei, his body covered in burns, bruises, and slashes. His chest heaved with strained breaths, his eyes closed.
He was down.
Tuft could see Poppy hold her fist out from the corner of their eye. They eagerly bumped their own fist into it, before the two drew them back, making explosion faux-explosions sounds and wiggling their fingers and laughing together.
A moment later though, Tuft felt the energy draining from their body, white light taking over their vision once again, this time much less intense. Time seems to blur and stretch, and the next thing they know, they’re back on four paws again, a fennekin once more. They looked over at Poppy to see she was a treecko again too, her looking down at her hands with an annoyed glare.
Tuft couldn’t help but mirror Poppy’s disappointment, but at the same time excited. They had never felt more powerful, more confident, more sure of themself than they did as a delphox. If that was what they were going to be like in the future… then they couldn’t wait!
They had something new to look forward to.

Hisuian Sneasel Theory
Hisuian Sneasel over time eventually evolved into the Sneasel we have in modern times, but why? Why did it go from Fighting/Poison to Ice/Dark. Simple: Predators. Hisuian is weak to ground, flying, and 4x weak to psychic. Its natural predators were probably of these types, Pokemon that could hit it where it hurts. Over time, however, the Sneasel family evolved through natural selection to the types it has today. Ice type to fight back against the Ground and Flying types that hunted it before, and Dark type to become completely immune to the type that hits it the hardest.
Over the centuries, these new Sneasel survived, while the old ones did not, along with Sneasler. The Dark/Ice Sneasel never evolved into Sneasler, and eventually the Sneasler was eradicated. The new DNA of the new Sneasel didn’t allow for a Sneasler evolution anymore. However, some of the old biology shone through upon growth with a Razor Claw, creating Weavile.

Wow! I just checked back on the results of our poll, at it appears Pitchle is our most popular Pokesnax! Amazing! Pitchle is my personal favourite too!
Allow me to tell you more about this adorable kiwi-cat!
Tumblr media
This adorable Pokesnax holds a lot more power than you realise. Underneath those fluffy paws are razor sharp claws that can cut through metal! Steel type Pokemon beware, you're not protected from this ferocious creature!
See that stalk on its face? That's a baby Pitcher Plant! Evolve your Pitchle and it will grow its plant enough to capture and poison other Pokemon and Pokesnax! The nectar inside this plant, however, is a mysterious addictive substance that humans have managed to convert into special honey. But due to its addictive nature, you have to be a certified Pitchle handler in order to buy and sell this honey. Rumours are that it smells and tastes like your favourite food!

I thought it would be fun to design some Paradox Pokemon based off the weird futuristic animals from the old docufiction miniseries The Future Is Wild. For those who don't know, TFIW is basically a speculative biology fanfiction that predicts what Earth's animals and ecosystems would look like millions of years from now. It's kinda silly, but I always thought that the animals in that series had some cool designs, so I thought it would be fun to make some futuristic Pokemon based off of them. :D (I might make some more after this, but I'm not sure yet.)
More info is below the cut.
Tundra Hunter (based off of the Snowstalker)
Type: Ice/Dark
Ability: Snow Cloak/Slush Rush (Hidden Ability)
Dex Entry 1: A descendant of Zangoose, this Pokemon has adapted to hunting in winter ice and snow in the far future. It is the apex predator of its natural environment.
Dex Entry 2: This descendant of Zangoose hunts in arctic tundra in the far future. Its thick, white coat provides it with camouflage in blizzards and winter storms.
Tundra Furball (based off of the Shagrat)
Type: Ice/Normal
Ability: Oblivious/Fur Coat/Thick Fat (Hidden Ability)
Dex Entry 1: A descendant of Pawmot, this Pokemon travels across futuristic tundra in search of grasses and cold-adapted shrubs to graze on. Its natural predator is the Tundra Hunter.
Dex Entry 2: This descendant of Pawmot has adapted to living in cold tundra in the far future. These Pokemon are very social and live in herds consisting of twelve or more individuals.
Running Razor (based off of the Carakiller)
Type: Fighting
Ability: Keen Eye/Run Away/Speed Boost (Hidden Ability)
Dex Entry 1: A descendant of Braviary, this Pokemon has given up flying to become a highly efficient grasslands predator. Its crest of feathers are used for communicating with others while hunting.
Dex Entry 2: This descendant of Braviary has given up flying to adapt to a grasslands lifestyle, its wings developing into clawed forelimbs. It is one of the top predators of its natural environment.
Blubber Wing (based off of the Gannetwhale)
Type: Water/Ice
Ability: Thick Fat/Ice Body (Hidden Ability)
Dex Entry 1: A descendant of Cramorant, this flightless bird Pokemon has adapted to a semiaquatic lifestyle and spends most of its time hunting for food in the sea. They live in tightly-knit family groups and are very protective of their young and their eggs.
Dex Entry 2: This descendant of Cramorant hast given up flying to adapt to a semiaquatic lifestyle in the far future. They are ungainly and clumsy on land, but swift predators in the water.
