I actually like beta Alice more than her final design. She's really cute.
Also Marcus and his fucking massive forehead and no eyebrows. They did him a favor hiding it underneath that crown in the finalized movie design.

Pokémon Prophecies: Genesect
I said a bit earlier that I had an idea for a Legends game set in a future Unova. Let's elaborate on that, shall we?
Why center it around Genesect?
Because Genesect, in this, is only the first of its kind.
Let's set this in the far future, after some terrible war has come and passed, in a post-post-apocalyptic type setting. Humanity lives in these dazzling cities, and Pokémon are... not the same. All but the most hardy of biological species were wiped out, and in their place, are two types of Pokémon.
Iron-Paradoxes- now given regular names, as they're just normal Pokémon in this era- and "Genesis" forms, resurrected forms of Pokémon long lost, given new technological grace to help them survive in the new environment.
So, if you're reading this far in, you've probably already played Legends: Arceus. So, you should know the format: Find new area, complete a quest, unlock the area's ride Pokémon, complete another quest, quell the area's Noble, and catch more Pokémon to rank up and prove yourself worthy of entering a more dangerous area.
Each of the rides you obtain is a new paradox- maybe even direct reflections of the Legends ones, like a paradox Braviary for gliding. And the frenzied Nobles? Well, those could be replaced with the new Genesis forms, something having gone wrong with their cybernetics.
Turns out, each of the Genesis forms were altered by a corrupted form of the Drives that change Techno Blast's type, and so, say, a Genesis Weezing that was supposed to clean the air actually did quite the opposite, or a Genesis Staraptor caused a great blizzard due to a Frost Drive causing it to generate snowy gales with every wing-flap.
Each area could be like spiraling deeper into the heart of Unova, seeing how old cities grew and what became of the smaller towns, until you reach the former site of the Entralink at its center. Now, instead of the great Entree, there stands a skyscraper that pierces the heavens, in the center of the new capital city, "Genesis".
In terms of how this all ties in with the version differences between Black and White, we can reconcile that very cleanly with the Entree being destroyed. The two realities collapsed into each other, with Black's world winning out in most aspects, though some legends still tell of a time when and a world where a great forest could be found at the site of Black City.
I feel there's a good bit of stuff you could do, with a post-post-war Unova. Unity Tower, the former tallest tower in Unova, could have been demolished in the war, replaced with a memorial and a message of peace. The story itself wouldn't be dark, it'd stay light-hearted and maybe even uplifting, but things like this could be an interesting way to set the stage for why the Pokémon world is the way it is now. People have rebuilt, they're living their lives alongside Pokémon as they always have, there's just one somber note in the now-distant past of a time where the world was anything but united.
Nature could still be found throughout Unova, but there would be a lot less closer to its heart. I have a very slight idea of why, which could potentially involve Unova getting its very own Great Crater.
Let's get back to that first question I posed. Why Genesect? As I said, Genesect is simply the first of its kind, but there's been no trace of it for years. It was last said to be found in the heart of Unova, at the former site of the Entree. Finding the living form of Genesect could be the key to understanding why the new Genesis forms have been going wrong, when poring over ancient blueprints has revealed nothing.
So, would this be an interesting idea? Let me know! I know GameFreak would never do something like this, but hey, a robot can dream.

more tbhx pokemon au - moon!
Tumblr media
i basically reverse-engineer the reasoning lol. behold, the power of combining hyperfixations... man, if only my actual real life tasks were this easy
Tumblr media
A popular travel blogger, Moon's fans hoped for her to show them all around the world. After meeting Hoopa, Moon gained the power of teleportation and became a small-time Hero.
tragically, treeman is probably responsible for sticking hoopa in a master ball (i did it for color coding shhhh). how does the worldbuilding work? I still dunno lol. the show's heros probably have stronger mons tho, and for practicality almost nobody has more than a few mons. spoilers and yap below!
Moon can have other mons too, but I'm still wondering what they would be. I want somebody between Moon, Nice and L0 to have a Mienfoo. if it's Nice, then probably a Shiny Mienfoo. I like the idea of Moon's ace being Hoopa since they share portals and the whole being trapped thing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've decided that E-Soul's ace mon is the bug-steel type, Genesect!
E-soul, or at least the idea of E-soul, is probably really old just like Genesect! maybe the original genesect was partnered with the Gray E-Soul in the past, and was upgraded at the same time as E-Soul over the years (speculation based on E-Soul PV).
They both are cyborg-y and fast.
Genesect is also 4x effective against Moon's ace and has a giant gun attached to it 💀.
Conveniently, although Genesect is not electric-type, it can attach a Shock Drive for an Electric-Type Techno Blast anyways!
besides X, I'm probably going to focus on characters we have enough information on to make judgements about because I don't want to pick pokemon off only aesthetics (although that is fun too :D). to the person who suggested zeraora for e-soul I had the same thought initially! but I also want to limit everybody to 1 mythical/legendary and genesect was really really tempting. possible ideas so far:
Moon (besides Hoopa) - Cleffa/clefairy, Lopunny (can mega evolve), ralts Enlighter - Malamar/Inkay and Seviper (courtesy of @/cedarwrought), normal rotom, yanma/sableye/hoothoot/noctowl (compound eyes, keen eye, tinted lens abilities), blipbug line (I really like this idea. just look at em.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nice - maybe Gallade/kirlia, Swanna, im sure theres others i just cant think of them Ghostblade - Manaphy/Phione (hear me out) and Doublade Lucky Cyan - Jirachi? also shaymin? meloetta? basically anything that people proposed for hatsune miku project voltage Lin Ling - Zangoose (also from @/cedarwrought), Rufflet, possibly Marshadow, deerling Wreck - Tyranitar for sure (the only dark/rock type), Krookodile (the only non-legend dark/ground type), a cute pokemon but idk which one (luvdisc?) maybe he coparented one with Nice Firm Man - Regigigas or Regirock Miss J - some kind of sassy mon, like a Glameow or Persian. ooh maybe a klefki
maybe Nice has an evolved pokemon of some kind that L0 has the pre-evo for, which is another reason that he was turned into Nice?
perhaps Lin Ling doesn't have any pokémon at all (in character for a depressed office worker with nobody that knows/cares about him), and inherits Nice's team. in this case getting one of his own would be a character development moment.

ANIMATED POKEMON MOVIES TIERLIST BY ME AND @klesek
Tumblr media
notes:
the highest tier is not up there because these movies are good. hoopa fucking sucks and it's the worst movie. it's just really funny. kyurem is up there because the chase scenes are goofy as hell
power of us tier is called the power of us tier because pokemon the power of us is literally the best pokemon movie. in this essay I will-
also, the power of us tier is Weird, because all of those movies have their own reason for being good and you can't really put one over the other well (power of us is good as a movie movie, victini is good as a movie about ash, jewel of life is good as a pokemon movie, and latios + latias is good as a pokemon anime movie) (none of those made sense but I promise they do)
jirachi isn't a bad movie, btw, we just didn't really care about it. not in a hate way, just in a "insufferably indifferent" way
btw arceus and the jewel of life and arceus chronicles are swapped. not our fault the covers are so similar 😞😞😞
arceus chronicles is here despite it being a 4 episode long special and not a movie; because journeys didn't really get a movie for itself, this is the closest we got, and it's about the length of a movie anyway
honorary mention to distant blue sky, since it's a standalone special episode in the M20-M23 continuity and there aren't any other episodes in that continuity. It would go in the oh bell yes tier for me because I think the implications and ash father lore drop in that episode is crazy
list of movies in order of ranking under the cut
wtf tier(? tier): Hoopa & The Clash of Ages, Kyurem VS. The Sword of Justice
power of us(s tier): The Power Of Us, Victini and Zekrom/Reshiram (they have two versions of this movie idk why), Arceus and the Jewel of Life, Pokemon Heroes
oh hell yes(a tier): Pokemon 2000, Mewtwo Strikes Back, Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel, Secrets of the Jungle, I Choose You, Zoroark: Master of Illusions, Spell of the Unown, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew
thumbs up emoji(b tier): The Rise of Darkrai, Giratina and thr Sky Warrior, Genesect and the Legend Awakened, Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction, Destiny Deoxys, Celebi: Voice of the Forest
meh/not a fan(c tier): Arceus Chronicles, Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea
cringe as fuck. not even comp(d tier): Jirachi: Wish Maker

I think what many Pokemon Legends game ideas get wrong, i think at least, is using a legendary for the name of the game, like "Legends kyurem" or "Legends Zygarde". Many times people use the third legendary of the main three for the title, but Giratina wasn't the one to get a Legends game, in fact it would have made more sense to have a Legends Giratina as a parallel to platinum, since it released with the Sinnoh remakes.
The one who got the spotlight was another important, but not heavily featured pokemon, Arceus, a mythical pokemon. So I think there's a higher chance for the next Legends game to feature a mythical with predominance. In Legends Arceus there was also many mythicals that we could catch without needing special events, making them more acessible, so maybe the Legends series will in general make mythicals more acessible?
I was thinking of a Kalos Legends game and I think Pokemon Legends Hoopa would be the best choice, it can teleport you back in time with it's rings, without the need for Arceus intervention. In ORAS because of Hoopa's rings we can catch legendaries from other regions and their themes aren't updated because they're supposed to be from the older games' timelines, this happens in USUM too, so I believe Hoopa is too interesting to not use.
Diancie and Volcanion should also appear, Volcanion has so little lore, the most interesting thing it has is the fact that in the southern part of the Kalos region, Volcanion is revered, people believe that a steam explosion caused by Volcanion created the plain where they live. This probably references the region of Occitania, the mountainous region that covers most of southern France and whose regional flag Volcanion takes its design from, which is really cool.
Diancie could also be integrated in the plot, maybe instead of her needing to make a new Diamond Heart for the Diamond Domain, the very first Diamond Heart could be made, or Diancie can be born, either works. Diancie is said to have been born from a Carbink that had undergone a mysterious mutation, the mutation could be related to the main story somehow.
In fact, I thought about a villain that wants to make everyone immortal, thinking it will create a Utopia, their plan will fail but create consequences in the region. Since Xerneas/Yveltal wake up every thousand years, I imagined the story would take place one thousand years before the events of X and Y, and the region would be medieval themed.
For Unova, it has no mythical with reality bending abilities and I sadly can't imagine anything except a Legends Kyurem, how is Victini, Meloetta or Keldeo going to hold an entire game like Arceus did? Genesect wasn't even created until recent events in the Pokemon world.
Because each mythical of Unova has a piece of history, it's hard to choose just one, they complete each other in a way
Some people speculutate on Johto remakes because of the many hints towards johto relevancy, and I think the Mythical main pokemon theory fits for Johto! Legends Celebi could work
I hope someone sees this theory and uses it for imagining new pokemon stuff or coming up with a Unova Legends game since I couldn't. I think a medieval, victorian, or early to middle 20th century Unova game would be really good, specially because if it were to be medieval, it could make kinda what Arceus made with Team Galactic and make Team Plasma into real knights, the Unova region has lots of medieval stuff and I think it's even better than Kalos for a medieval game

Ok so in the actual, normal verse for the pokeworld, I do genuinely think the majority of Legendary & Mythicals are just that: creatures of legend or myth.
Most people either believe they're super old pokemon only spoken about in stories - where little physical evidence supporting their existences exist - so who knows if they're real (Legendaries), or they're just completely made up (Mythicals).
In Drayton's case:
— The Legendaries he's the most familiar with are the Twin Dragons of course. He knows less about Kyurem, as the stories of it are more vague and contradicting.
— He used to believe the dragons might've been real but probably were dead or something.
— That all changed with the events in BW (Drayden went to help the other gym leaders + N & the protag faced off ) & B2W2 (Opelucid was literally frozen by Neo Team Plasma using Kyurem's power).
— Now that he knows they're 100% real + alive, it kinda...breaks his brain. He has so many questions, but the main person he can bring them to is his grandfather, which he isn't keen on talking to that much. He's most conflicted about the dragons being considered gods. He isn't sure what a "god" is even supposed to be, and Drayton isn't sure if he wants to know. He kinda likes being ignorant and keeping his worldview controlled, lest he learn something that makes him question everything.
— He has caught wind of stories about the Swords of Justice, and the Forces of Nature. Meloetta and Victini he's only heard about in fantasy-based contexts, so he doesn't think they're real (Victini sounds op so he legit hopes it's not). He's never heard of Genesect.

Is Celebi wary around bug types?
Mortal bug types? Nah. Combined with the common belief that a mortal cannot kill a Legend, her ability to just teleport out of trouble to a different time period makes her pretty fearless when confronted by hostile mortals that have even a 4x type advantage.
If Genesect got a little too huffy, she might be a bit nervous, but again, Celebi is capable of escaping into alternate times, and could easily dip if things got messy. The only pokemon that would she really has any wariness for are other Legends who have greater control over time than her--- which mostly means Dialga, but they're actually fairly good friends... and also he pretty much owes her a life debt which Celebi will remind him of if he ever gets upset about her demanding permission to go to distant timelines and eras for vacations and gift shopping.
If we're using Legends: Arceus's depiction of Giratina, I believe they depicted her as being able to open space-time distortions? So if that's also true of PMD's Giratina, Celebi would definitely be cautious around a giant dragon who could chase her through time and is known for her temper + inability to let grudges go.

I have a semi-plausible theory about the next pokemon games to come out. **spoiler warning.
Its January 4th, 2024 when writing this.
So with the release of the 2nd wave of DLC for scarlet and violet, we are given 4 new paradox pokemon.
Raging Bolt (Past Raikou)
Gouging Fire (Past Entei)
Iron Crown (Future Cobalion)
Iron Boulder (Future Terrakion)
If you are familiar with the pokemon lore, especially the legendary beasts, you would know that three pokemon were incinerated in Ecruteak City's Brass tower and later revived by Ho-Oh. Originally it was believed to be the first three eeveelutions (Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon). But with the paradox forms we can assume that these were the pokemon that were revived.
This creates some history for the new two but what about the others? Iron Crown and Iron Boulder (And Iron leaves ig idk)
The robotic enhancements are cool idea, but why? We have no story for them, they are legendary paradox pokemon.
I think the next games are going to be far future versions of Unova. "Pokemon: Cyber-Kyurem"
..or something.
I mainly believe this because of one silly little pokemon: Genesect.
In the it's lore it was a fossil that was revived and then given robotic enhancements by team plasma. Thats what I believe to be the case for the Paradox Swords of Justice in the game "Cyber-Kyurem"
Theres lots of rumors of "Legends kyurem" and the ancient dragon (reshiram+zekrom+kyurem) circulating/circulated. My hypothesis is in direct contrast and i have a further reason.
Legends arceus dealt with the past, and then scarlet and violets dynamic was past and future, so it would make sense for the next game to be in the future.
If the swords of justice were fossilized over a LONG PERIOD OF TIME and then revived and cyber enhanced or whatever.
