@damatheirin oh my god I LAUGHED HARD AJJAKSJKSK yes you caught me, often playing dumb by covering your ears with the pillow is a good strategy to forget about the things you hear 👀👀 Poirot is often my mood, and there is no shame in admitting it 🤣🤣
Poirot my beloved

Sometimes you just have to stop and realize Hercule Poirot is a summary of every emotion you've ever felt

there is nothing gayer than being the worlds finest detective, except perhaps, being his partner and most trusted adviser

reading agatha christie's autobiography out of curiosity, it's rambling and very long and there's the expected amount of eye-rolling at 'things were better back then' and 'young people these days' grumbling and old person thinking, but it's been pretty interesting
partly because it's just fascinating in general to read about a person who lived so long and during a very specific time period, having your entire childhood in the victorian era and then making it to the 1970s is a hell of a ride historically speaking, being able to say things like "yeah i remember when cars and airplanes were invented" while trying to ignore all the kiss and ac/dc and the ramones blaring in the background

Arthur Conan Doyle: what if there was a detective and he was super mysterious and badass and like the smartest man alive but of course was misunderstood and an outcast but in a cool way.
Agatha Christie: what if there was a detective but he was a tiny little fancy man and no one ever took him seriously no matter what he does because of white on white racism. and he's got a silly mustache.
