O Grupo AfroLatino, em um determinado período dos anos 80, em Porto Alegre, no Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, América do Sul, Continente Americano, Entre os Oceanos Pacífico e Atlântico, na Superfície Terrestre do Planeta Terra, a trajetória deste grupo foi de extrema importância para cultura negra do Sul do Brasil, participando e abrilhantando espetáculos variados em bares da noite Portoalegrense, bem como apresentações na Sociedade Floresta Aurora e a Academia de Samba Praiana, instituições negras tradicionais da cidade, ambas de caráter social e cultural, histórico estabelecedor de um legado herança de anos de luta contra todas as adversidades, que lhe eram impostas para não figurar no cenários sociais e culturais do estado. No entanto o que se tem de registro de vida destas entidades, e que uma tem 149 anos, a Floresta Aurora e a Academia de Samba Praiana, 60 anos. Uma característica usual nestas instituições usar um nome a frente do nome mais conhecido, que "Sociedade Cultural Recreativa Beneficente" e representava mais o menos em as atividades promovidas pelas entidades, ao longo dos anos. O grupo musical Afro Latino tinha em sua composição: a cantora, intérprete e compositora Sônia D'Oya, o músico, compositor, artista plástico, cantor e intérprete Pedro Homero, o poetator Sirmar Antunes, o cantor, intérprete e compositor Ari Fernando, o percussionista, cantor, intérprete e compositor Hilton "Melo", o percussiomista, ritmista, Caco Silva, e tinha mais dois músicos que desculpem a falha, não recordo os nomes, um tocava violão e cantava e o outro era percussiomista. Esta era a formação do Afro Latino, que levava este nome pelo fato do Pedro Homero, compôs uma canção cujo nome é Afro Latino. E a letra da música dizia quem era o Afro Latino.

Dahlia’s Recipe for Shepherds Pie

Please note that this can be mixed up a bit for your preferences!

Materials:

1 Casserole dish

1 Large frying pan

1 Mixing spoon

Food:

2-4 refrigerated pie crusts (Pillsbury brand is good),

- one-two for the top of the pie and one-two for the bottom of the pie

- if no pie crust then mashed potatoes are a good substitute

1 ½ - 2 pounds of ground beef

One 18oz bottle of Heinz home style gravy savory beef flavor

1 can of sliced carrots

 - or two hand sliced carrots

2 cans of diced or sliced potatoes

1 can of green beans

1 chopped or diced onion

1 can of corn

Steps:

1. Cook ground beef in a pan until browned

2. Drain excess meat juices

3. Drain veggie cans

4. Add veggies and gravy to pan and mix as you desire

5. Place pie crusts or mashed potatoes at the bottom of the casserole dish

6. Pour in pan mixture until 1″ from the top of the dish

7. Place pie crusts or mashed potatoes at the top of the casserole dish (all crust must be inside the dish)

Bake at 350°

Cook for 45min-1hr (until top is golden brown)

Leave to cool for 5-10 minutes

Enjoy!
