Fanfic Ideas

A compilation of some fanfic/AU ideas I have stuck inside my head. Feedback/criticism/any discussion is welcomed. Feel free to use any of these ideas if you want to.

Broken Dolls (Alternate title: The Return of the Player)

Got inspired by a Deviantart fanart of some of the RGB villains as cutesy villains (I can't remember the artist's name right now, but I'll include it in an update.) Basically, the story would start with Samhain explaining an escape plan to the Overlords who are bored out of their minds with Boogey being the only one somewhat paying attention. The rests basically tell Samhain that it is pointless to try anymore since the Ghostbusters would always win the end. Then, the group would be teleported from the realm of the Player, some random one time villain that promised to get revenge on the Ghostbusters yet never did. The Player tries to convince them to join him in his revenge, but the Overlords are like no, f*ck you and tries to leave, only for all of them to be turned into marketable plushies. The rest of the story would be the now plushified Overlords teaming up with the Ghostbusters to defeat the Player. But in reality, this fic would be an excuse for the Overlords to be unintentionally cute while trying to be intimidating.

Reunion:

A fic about Boogie and Samhain reuniting during EG (Extreme Ghostbusters). It's supposed to connect to my others fics, The Ballad of Samhain and Another Year. Expect both angst and comfort from the story; also expect Boogie and Samhain saying gay rights and taking back the Unit from that stupid cockroach villain from EG whose name I can't remember

Peoplebusters AU:

Okay, so I don't know if this really counts as an AU, but I'm calling it that for the time being. I love the Peoplebusters episode yet as a massive simp for the villains, I always wondered what they would be like in the Flipslide Dimension. So in this AU, I propose that they're humans who has magical, maybe even eldritch in nature, abilities (witches, sorcerers, etc). They were either born with magic, made deals with powers beyond their comprehension, or use ancient artifacts like staffs or amulets. Similarly to how others stories dealt with the whole evil universe trope, they would be a group of rebels fighting against the rule and status quo the Peoplebusters has on the city. I'm not good at coming up with designs, but imagine Flipside Boogie being a goth punk all dressed up like it's the Apocalypse.

Swap!AU:

Not techinally the same as the Peoplebusters AU. This would be the 'What if the RGB villains were humans who started the Ghostbusters' type of AU. Just them being a bunch of old men trying to make a living in catching ghosts while being a found family. The Ghostbusters themselves would either be the ghosts (which thinking about it is so cursed) or a bunch of side characters.

Human/No Powers!AU:

Just a general group of ideas put into a category. Coffee cafe au, univeristy au, high school au, office au, etc. If anything has them being humans in a supernaturalless New York, then it counts.

Drawing Dragons: Zym!!

Tbh if it wasn't for Zym I probably wouldn't have gotten into the show

On the day when I started watching I only watched episodes 1 through 8. At the time I wasn't super into it and was slightly disappointed in the lack of dragons. The next day I decided that I should at least finish season one. Zym appered and I decided to watch a little more just so I could see more Zym. Season 2 was great I was hooked and now Tdp is one of my favorite shows.

I like Zym's character he is a silly little guy he's a fun character

I know a lot of people are kinda annoyed that Zym got sidelined so much after season 3 but it honestly never bothered me that much

I thought it was strange at first that Zym sounds like a dog but after a while I got used to it

Also why is there no Zym plushie like wonderstorm your sitting on a gold mine do you know how many people would buy a Zym plushie.

Turn him into a marketable plushie

Do it wonderstorm plushify him you made bait now we need Zym

Look, I wish (haha) that I could give positive points to Wish. I really do.

I wanna say "But the character designs were good!" But they weren't. I saw what Asha could have been, and the majority of the side characters were okay but also kinda eh, and the villain and his wife were fine...but any positives, any positives, are negated by the generic cuteness of that stupid star. I've never felt such visceral loathing of a plushified thing since they put a cat into a Buzz Lightyear movie set in the 90s that everyone was supposed to love, when that would be the WORST PART of a 90s action movie that every kid would think was cool.

I wanna say "But the songs were good!" or even "But the main song was good!", but, again...no, they weren't! They were passable, and the main one from all the trailers had a GREAT refrain, 9/10, very moving, but every other line was nothing I wanna listen to. The best Disney songs rule in both their verses AND their refrains. That one? No. And the timing on the songs? Their function in the story? No. Wrong. All wrong! The introductory song knew what it was doing, but after that? It was all paint by numbers!

Even the VILLAIN SONG was wrong! Because he's all "WHY DOES NO ONE APPRECIATE ME???" when every scene prior was showing just how much they loved the king. And it's not even a matter of "Well of course, that's because he's a Villain and it's Never Enough!", because...no. It's not conveyed. There were better pedestals atop which to set his villainy!

The diversity was great, but I can't even praise that, because it's a Bad Movie and all that wonderful stuff was wasted! Same with the storybook-looking imagery, which was REALLY perfect in a few shots, but would immediately cut to another one that would never work in a storybook.

I'm just frustrated because I threw every lifeline I could at this thing and it went "But what if we did a reference that was kinda clever, and then immediately had a character EYEROLL AT IT because we know it'll be awkward? That's humor!"

No. It was a bad movie!

EVEN WHEN THE MOVIE SUDDENLY GOT DARK and I was like "Oh. That's a little heavy. Good job, Disney movie", they went and said "AND ALL THAT'S BEEN FIXED NOW!" at the end.

It would have also been nice if there had been ANY EMOTIONAL CONNECTION WHATSOEVER between the characters. I mean anything beyond "we're best friends" (which is actually stated via dialogue, like everything else in that movie, there's a scene where someone is sitting there looking frightened and someone says "she looks frightened...", YES, your animators actually conveyed that!!!).

I can't even praise the animation, because characters like Happy were just kinda smiling most of the time...she should have been JOYFUL! Excited by everything! Something good happens and she cheers loudly, because she's HAPPY! And Grumpy was just sort of sarcastic...no real arm-folding, no sneers, no furrowed brows...this is animation, it's a celebration of 100 years of animation, and you can't even put out solid expressions and intense emotions???

THIS WAS YOUR PARADE, DISNEY??? This was the Love Letter? That was just a bunch of cheap Disney Movie references!

Old reference sheet, but this is my oc Yaotuzi. Originally he was a DnD character for a Chinese Dynasty campaign that the friend group was planning, but some friendships ended up falling through and I never got to use him. I still really love his design. I think he's one of my better designed characters. However he's a Chinese doctor and I don't think he really reads as that. Mainly because his outfit I think reads more Japanese then it does Chinese. I may have to do a wee bit of redesigning. However I think that he has a nice color pallette. A good ladder design. A good silhouette. I know that he's easy to draw since I have had commission work done of him. I also think he would just plushify easily. I don't think his motif is great. His motif is Himalayan rabbit, Chinese, Doctor, noblemen. I get the rabbit and noblemen. I kind of get the Chinese bit since the nail guards and the hair stick thing is I think something from Chinese culture. I don't get doctor at all. Maybe from the potions, but you could make the argument that he's a witch or scientist not doctor. Since I'm joining a new campaign and I'm making a new Cleric (since he doesn't fit into the world) I want to try different stuff with him. I made him apart of my story, but I also think that he would be a phenomenal vtuber design.

Hey! That one Cassidy Treacher kin from PlushStarFever here again.

I have realized, my memories are sort of weird. I have memories where I am more similar to my original media's canon, but then I have some memories where I'm a mix of being Cassidy and some random priest guy. it's quite strange. A lot of events turn differently in that canon? I grew up past 17 somehow. I became Father Treacher of the Mulgrove County church. I never really came out about being trans, although I did drop hints here and there. Especially with me growing my hair out, people would get confused because my faceshape is very androgynous and I just didn't bother correcting them. Some kids would refer to me with he/she pronouns and I honestly loved that back then. My parents died the same way they did in canon media, The details of Viv's disappearance is foggy, but she definitely still went missing because of that darn cow plushie thing. And in my canon, Theo went missing during one night back in 1973. I don't really know what happened. I got plushified when I was around 50 or something among those lines. I had found Theo in some abandoned, yet quite clean, house in the middle of the woods when I was looking for shelter after waking up from being plushified. I really couldn't believe my eyes, he's a plushie now for fuck's sake. He said he doesn't remember anything of what happened but I connected the dots that a random hostile plushie must have attacked him that night. It was bizarre to see him again, last time I did he was freshly 18. I remember seeing him in that moment and just staring at him. He had stitches all over him, ones he sew himself. It was.. quite the sight. I never met that Sharkie kid, however I knew some girl that looked quite similar to them. Her name was.. Darcy? Something like that. Her family would come to Mulgrove county every summer and they visited the church often. Darcy wasn't really a religious kid, she mostly just chitchatted with the other kids around. I don't know that Willow kid either. I kind of don't remember much about Uncle Dean, for some reason. He was a great guy, it's unfortunate that I lost contact with him. I never really had reason to go to his tech store 'cause I wasn't really into those stuff.

It's crazy to think about how canon-divergent I am from my media canon.
