The Plunderseed Parasite (MLP Infection AU)
Started by discord…kinda on accident. Patient Zero found plunder seeds in the Everfree forest and brought them back for chicken feed. When the chickens ate them nothing seemed to be wrong with them or the eggs they produced. The eggs were sold and eaten, which spread the parasite through ponyville (The parasite is heat resistant.)
Bulk biceps probably eat eggs raw cause "YEAH PROTEIN" so he got infected fast. It also spreads through mosquitoes (OFF spray)

alright fellow mlp fans, does anyone remember a certain sort of recolor oc named twivine sparkle?
so uh notable change out of the way first, SHE'S PALE. yeah, i wanted her to look like a vampire, a corpse if you will, like the blood got drained out of her body. i noticed that she's a cooler hue of purple compared to twilight which made her look slightly paler so i took it to the nth degree.
it always felt weird to me that the princess of plunderseeds didn't have plunder vine accessories, so i gave her a spiked headband and a choker.
THE SHAPE OF HER MANE PISSES ME THE FUCK OFF 😭 it looks stiff as all hell and it's probably because all we've ever seen of her are in still images and she's never been animated so we don't really get to see how her hair moves. the way it's drawn doesn't help either. so i kinda changed it around and added something new to it. ⬇️
her mane and tail can move on their own, but are mainly reliant on twivine's emotional state. (i was thinking of the way marina's tentacles are animated when making this idea for twivine.)
that's all! i unironically love twivine so much so i dipped my hand into reimagining the mint chocolate chip flavored queen of corniness

So what’s the deal with Screwball?, what I mean is that what’s their story in this universe, with a lot of different interpretations of Screwball, I’d though I’d talk about mine, and hope that Discord doesn’t flip my door again.
Before Discord could invade Equestria, he wanted to ensure his victory, he knew that The Elements of Harmony can counter him, it was the antithesis to him, the order to his chaos, the sweet to his salty, so he came up with a plan, this plan would ultimately become the Plunderseeds, but an early version of these seeds were very chaotic Purple vines which were chaotic, but in a predictable way somehow, it only makes sense to a lord of chaos, so he put aside in a “Chaos Garden”, the with it being the only plant.uears go by and the vines grew but strangely, instead of getting longer, they knitted themselves up, before forming the shape of a filly, Discord then saw this little sprouted filly and took her in as the Daughter of chaos, after a while Screwball hand grown up and with her dad Discord went to try and take Equestria, after he found the perfect seeds, and then Discord was turned to stone, and Screwball was left alone….
years and years go by with Screwball losing a majority of her power after Discord being turned to stone, Screwball would sleep by his statue by night, and day try to find a way to free him, after even more years, one night she saw cracks form, so she kept acting her chaotic ways, slowly forming more and more cracks, until one day he was free, she was ecstatic, he was back and so was his brand of chaos, it was great and chaotic, till it yet again wasn’t, repeat until he came back, after a while both father and daughter were reunited, both were ecstatic of course and Discord showed her Fluttershy and bestowed the lessons of friendship he had learned, and soon Screwball was learning about more than just chaos, and she learned more attending the school of Friendship.
TLDR:Screwball was a seed who sprouted into a daughter, separated when Discord turned to stone, repeat, leaned more than chaos, and is attending the school of friendship.

It was simply a fun redesign for an old oc that got outta hand.
Meet my boy, Perc, he rules over this “Kingdom” near the ocean on beach-y shores made of black rocks called The Blackened Bridle.
Ive made a whole list of ponys, that ive also drawn and can’t fit here, that play into the Bridle. The Blackened Bridle is more of a city state than an active Kingdom, Perc, even as a ruling body within the Bridle isn’t actually nobility, its simply a title he had acquired when visiting Canterlot for being an alicorn. Its a place thats been isolated and in a near constant state of crisis by the Plunderseed, who’s adapted and change over the mullenium of its creation from the original plant, that has made its border, finding passage to this land only through sea.
Lots of ponies in this place either don’t do the talent or destiny marked by their cutimark mostly due to the state of the Bridle, most forfeit it out of duty for their families and the preservation of the Bridles history which is the Palace itself, an Archive of all the Bridles history to times as early as the Two Sisters coming into ruling.
Hence the Knight armor, more ponies find pride in Knighthood and defending the Bridle than following their talents.
The whole idea takes place not that long after Twilight becomes a princess, the whole idea behind The Bridle is exploring duty, passions (cutimarks), destiny and hardship.
Its really all for fun! Exploring these characters and making them is a total blast and a lot more than i can explain in one go lol!!
Lots of culture, history, character exploration, thats im super excited to info dump when i get a chance to!

Some old-ish art from the original design where the Sonic ponies came from. It was a part of a MLP G4, G5, and Sonic crossover that was meant to start at Season 2 and end at Season 4, dealing with Discord, Chrysalis, and maybe the plunderseeds but definitely Tirek. I only got to the beginning of the fic before I ran out of motivation for it. I could come back to it eventually, though.
If you want the link though, it's here.

Making it a third. (No images)
The trio of pairs ran through the caves when they saw a light. That light led them to the Tree of Harmony, still covered in vines. They were united, but quickly realized that Discord was also there. Hewas juggling the Elements of Harmony with one hand wondering what he’s going to do once the tree is fully destroyed, so it seems he doesn’t notice them. Ocellus transforms into a fly and gets as close to the Elements of Harmony as she could before Discord notices. He heard the flapping of fly wings and was about to turn Ocellus when Smolder yelled. “Hey ya jerk!” she yelled when she breathed in and breathed out fire towards the draconequus. Discord was not impressed and summoned a Fire Extinguisher to negate Smolder’s breath. This gave Ocellus the opening she needed to become an octopus and cover Discord’s face with her body.
She then grabbed the elements and threw them towards her friends. They were about to catch it when five more Discords appeared in front of them and intercepted the Elements. So it’s the Element Bearers struggling against their own individual Discords. Yona had the easiest time as her Discord was blowing raspberries at her. She used the time and distraction to do what she does best: Smash him. He crumbles up as Yona grabs the elements from his only non-damaged limbs. The Spiders begin to cover him up in webbing. Ocellus was trying to get away from her Discord, who decided to change shape when she did. Everytime she changes into one thing, he changes into another that doesn’t make sense yet somehow is a perfect counter to hers.
Then she decided to change into Discord to proclaim that he won. Discord changes back, saying that he’s the real Discord. She agrees and changes back to herself to run away. Another Discord and Silverstream was in a tug of war with her element when Discord decided to force her to become a Seapony. He thinks he won until Silverstream decides to repeatedly slap him in the face with her fish tail. This causes him to drop the Element and allow her to grab it in time. Smolder continues to try to set Discord on fire, but he decides to transmute her flames into random harmless objects. He really doesn’t pay attention when Yona comes from behind to hit him. This knocks the elements of Harmony out of his hands and into Smolder, who finally got him on fire. Despite being engulfed in flames, he doesn’t really seem bothered by it and just disappears a short time after.
Gallus is in his own tug of war with Discord when Ocellus decides to help Gallus by turning into an octopus again to tickle Discord. This got him to laugh and let go of the Element of Harmony. He disappeared to stop the tickling. Sandbar managed to get his on, but Discord is holding him by the collar. He laughs until he realizes that the others have their elements on. The Elements of Harmony begin to glow and knowing what happened last time, he decides to let go of Sandbar. The group are reunited and set their sights on Discord and the Tree of Harmony. Seeing the writing on the wall, Discord decides to teleport away. They still have the PlunderSeed Vines to deal with, so they use the Elements of Harmony to clear off the vines and stop Discord’s plan. They celebrate for a bit until they realize Discord is still out there.
“Yeah, Discord is still out there,” Gallus said to the others, “but we’re still here. He couldn’t break our bonds to the Elements or each other. And as long as we have that, there’s no way he could beat us!” They gather together for a group hug and begin to leave. They also make sure to let Celestia know about everything and have spells to protect the elements and the Tree from Discord’s influence in the future. As for Discord, he is as far away from Ponyville as possible. “Such a shame. But there’s always next time. For the time being, I should lay low, keep the chaos to a minimum and bide my time till my eventual comeback. But how to hide?”
In another part of Equestria, a yellow pegasus was walking with a white rabbit on her back. She’s been walking for a while when she notices a brown rabbit following her for a time. The White Rabbit whispered something into her ears when the Pegasus shocked her head. “It’s just another animal grateful for the help. If they wish to follow me, they are free to do so. So don’t worry about being replaced Angel, you’re still my number one assistant.” The pegasus continued to walk as the brown rabbit followed. It stopped briefly for a minute before turning to you. He reveals himself to be Discord, shushing us before turning back to Fluttershy.

This is my early concept for a My Little Pony AU’s history :) This AU is gonna be pretty canon compliant, just filling in some gaps in lore and such. Enjoy!
The realm of Equestria doesn’t contain only Equestria, but it’ll be the main focus of this post. Essentially, the entire world, Elysium, was created when the Olympian era of the Greek Gods was overthrown by the gods we know today and placed their essence into creating a new realm. Creatures from their tales were scattered about the world, including earth ponies, unicorns, and pegasi.
If you’ve seen Friendship is Magic, you’ll know that each ponykind was tasked with something essential to their survival (earth ponies with growing crops to eat, pegasi with controlling the weather, and unicorns with raising and lowering the sun and moon). However, their constant arguing drew the attention of Windigos, spirits of winter who fed off hatred. Eventually, their bickering caused a blizzard in which the leaders were frozen over, but their second-in-commands became allies, igniting the Fire of Friendship, which incinerated the Windigos. In my AU, this was the first combination of each ponykind’s innate magic and was the birth of the first two alicorns, Luna and Celestia, and their queendom, Equestria.
For a while, ponykind was united under the rule of Clover the Clever (Princess Platinum’s second-in-command), Private Pansy (Commander Hurricane’s second-in-command), and Smart Cookie (Chancellor Puddinghead’s second-in-command), while a trusted and wise unicorn, Starswirl the Bearded, raised and mentored the young princesses Luna and Celestia. After the two princesses aged into the throne, they were alerted by Scorpan, Tirek’s brother, of Tirek’s, an evil centaur, plan to steal Equestria’s magic. They respond by imprisoning Tirek in Tartarus and assigning a three-headed dog, Cerberus, to guard this prison.
This was far from the only evil Equestria would encounter, though. When the three Sirens, descendants of the Windigos who also fed on hatred, rose to conquer Equestria, a unicorn named Stygian assembled the Pillars of Old Equestria, consisting of six great heroes from different corners of Equestria. If you’ve seen Friendship is Magic, you’ll also know their tales, and they haven’t changed too much here yet. I’ll make another post sometime going into their individual stories! In the meantime, you can look into the My Little Pony Wiki to find them. When Stygian was later kicked out of the Pillars, he became enveloped by a dark entity known only as The Shadow, an entity most likely left behind by Hades himself. After turning against the Pillars, he was banished to Limbo, but the banishment spell required the souls of the oher Pillars to be banished, too, so the Pillars left behind a special seed imbued with each of their magic that would grow into the Tree of Harmony, which would then bear the fruits the Elements of Harmony.
Once the Tree of Harmony had grown, Discord overtook Equestria with chaotic magic. To take back their queendom, Princess Luna and Princess Celestia used the Elements of Harmony to turn him to stone. Just before his defeat, however, unknowingly to the Princesses, Discord planted Plunderseeds to steal the Tree of Harmony’s magic over time. Soon after, King Sombra, with the power of The Shadow, enslaved the Crystal Empire, another ancient part of Equestria. To save the Crystal Empire, the Princesses trapped him in ice, but not before he could curse the Crystal Empire to vanish. Then, even Luna was overpowered by The Shadow due to her jealousy of Celestia’s fame. She raised the moon to block out the sun and became Nightmare Moon, forcing Celestia to use the Elements of Harmony to banish her to the moon for 1,000 years.
After this, Celestia took on the role of raising and lowering both the sun and moon, formed the EUP guard, and started the Summer Sun Celebration, where she would raise the sun on the first day of summer. During the first Summer Sun Celebration, the Wonderbolts held their first show.
The Apple Family later founded Ponyville when Granny Smith was only a filly. The Pear Family started a feud when they placed their farm right next to the Apple Family’s. Applejack’s parents, Bright Mac and Pear Butter, would go on to form a union between these two families through marriage. In the meantime, Sunset Shimmer, a student of Princess Celestia, went through a magic mirror portal back to modern day Earth in hopes to conquer Earth. Soon after, the Sonic Rainboom occurred, allowing six fillies to obtain their cutie marks. Meanwjile, Fizzlebop, a young unicorn, had her horn broken and her face scarred by an Ursa Major, causing her magic to be unstable, and the other foals rejected her. Also, Starlight Glimmer’s best friend, Sunburst, earned his cutie mark during this time and she was left in the dust.
So, yeah, that’s a lot! Later, I’ll dive into the Pillars like I said I would and each major character mentioned in the last paragraph above. Stay happy, healthy, and safe as always, my friends!

Hiya! Big fan, and I stumbled onto your MLP OC once again. Out of curiosity, what did you think of the season finale? O: Did you think Discord was well fleshed out after all or? Very curious of your thoughts :3
Oh god Discord... I don't think any other show than MLP was able to make me go from loving to absolutely hating my favorite character.
I did watch the entirety of G4 and I do think the series finale did the show justice, but I gotta say that Discord was probably at his best in the season 4 finale. After that he just became a nuisance, turned into a pop-culture-reference-machine for the writers to enjoy and annoying Twilight at every chance he could get DESPITE of the emotional climax we had at the end of Season 4.
It felt like he just kept learning the same lessons over and over again??? I was really hoping for a more serious approach in his character development. To be honest the COMICS did him more justice than the show, exploring his personal struggles with his own existence, believing he's only bound to hurt his friends because he's a "force of nature" that can't change. His biggest nightmare was his friends CARING about him for crying out loud, that was freaking heart-wreaking.
In said Issue, Luna tells him he's more than just "chaos", more than a force of nature. That he can allow himself to care about others and even be able to change.
(Source: "My little Pony - Friends Forever Issue 20")
And then the show kind of retconned that by making Discord start to FADE AWAY the moment he wasn't causing chaos anymore, which I just hATED because it implied to me that Discord isn't allowed to change and is actually bound to his existence as a chaos entity. THAT'S DEPRESSING AS HECK, let him CHANGE, let him find new ways for his chaotic magic, if he isn't chaotic in his personality then you can make his magic be weaker or make his home realm start to crumble, but don't just erase his entire EXISTENCE!
(Source: MLP FIM Season 7 episode 12)
I don't know, I feel like we never got to see Discord the way he was portrayed in his Season 2 debut ever again. There was something cunning, all-knowing about him, a real trickster with blind spots of course in terms of relationships, underestimating how powerful connections between friends can actually be, since he's always been alone. At the start of season 4 we had a glimpse of that cunning personality again when he sowed his "plunderseeds" as a back-up plan, knowing that Celestia and Luna were about to defeat him. That's smart as heck!! Discord is a mischievous smart boi!! But as the seasons progressed I just watched him become more of a joke, and his jealously and downright panic the moment he isn't the center of attention anymore just turned him into an attention-seeking crybaby. There were just so many bETTER ways to handle his character, he is allowed to lose control, he's allowed to be jealous or be unable to handle social situations well, that's all okay if you ever got the feeling through the writing that he made an EFFORT to actually improve and learn from his mistakes! But he didn't. If, then he'd only try to change for Fluttershy, which ended up making him nearly fade away, which just, gREAT MESSAGING THERE GUYS. (I know that the point of this episode was to stop trying to be someone you're not, which is a good message, but in Discord's case was poorly executed with the implications it brought about his very being.) Otherwise he took every chance he could to make a fool of himself, get on Twilight's nerves, make her feel left out, never actually caring about growing closer to any of the mane 6 besides Fluttershy.
Which, by the way, biggest loss from never adapting anything from the comics? Discord befriends the CMCs in them, who seem to be the first ponies he can relate to, sharing the struggle of feeling like they don't really belong anywhere.
G O D I wish he had been given just a GLIMPSE of characterization some of the earlier comics gave him...
And his plan in the series finale to create a dangerous situation that would boost Twilights confidence was just SO UTTERLY IDIOTIC it felt out of character for him. Like he honestly thought bringing all previous villains together as a team was a good idea that couldn't go wrong??? You could argue that he once again underestimated the power of "fiendship" in this case, but still, it was an incredibly bad idea from the get-go.
I liked that the show tried to portray him as someone who wants to see Twilight grow, testing her and manipulating the situation still with the best intention in mind. But nOT LIKE THIS. His plans never felt smart but more like a sad excuse for his behavior of being a HUGE annoyance and inconvenience 24/7 before revealing his "true" intentions.
As you can tell, I still care about his characterization, because it's another case of seeing the potential the show could have taken with his character, the development and growth he could have gotten while still keeping his intelligence to the same level as when he was his old mischievous self, we could have been able to keep those parts intact. It all could have been possible.
Discord was a fan-favorite character and when he first debuted, NO ONE expected him to come back. Redeeming a villain was revolutionary back then. As far as I remember, no other cartoon besides ATLA with Zuko had taken this approach so far, so when it was announced he'd make a return in Season 3 to "get redeemed", the community went WILD. It's truly a shame how over the years I went from getting excited to instantly groaning the moment he came onscreen again. Because he had all the ingredients for a layered, fun, mischievous ally instead of becoming a comedic-relief who constantly screws up.
Thank you for coming to my "Discord-had-potential-but-ultimately-got-screwed-over-by-bad-writng"-TED Talk

Has Equestria dealt with any major plagues or diseases in the past?
Well, I have mentioned the Canterlot rockroach infestation of 376 in passing, which would be a plague of insects.
Due to a lapse in vigilance, rockroaches made it into the central Canterlot food stores, which at the time contained both emergency rations and goods intended for the market. As a result, much of the food in Canterlot was ruined, resulting in a shortage.
Uneasy ponies rallied around the castle to ask Celestia for a solution, and was assured that word had been sent out requesting expedited delivery of replacement provisions. While this answer was of some reassurance, ponies still wondered what they would eat until such replacements arrived.
Celestia thought for a moment, then looked over to the castle guards and decreed “Let them eat cake!” Ponies were then ushered into the castle for a three day feast of cake and other pastries from the royal food stores. Though, keep in mind that the population of Canterlot at the time was smaller, so there wasn’t as much cake as one might think.
As a result of this crisis, the emergency food stores are now kept in a separate location, with any goods being added to it undergoing a separate inspection, regardless if considered already inspected. There are also magical wards and other precautions.
There are some more modern cases as well that I think ponies are aware of, and might even have experienced first hoof, like the parasprites or the plunderseeds, which would also count as plagues in the literary sense.
There has been a lot of property damage, and a great deal of work wasted, but fortunately, and most importantly, ponies have gotten through crises without any lasting harm.

TFmaster analyses- “is discord responsible for creating cozy Glow?”
Greetings all! Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while, turns out it’s much harder escaping from the soul realm than anticipated. (See my post ‘can the matrix of leadership defeat the infinity gauntlet’ for context) but I found my way out, it’s a new year and I’m ready to continue rambling about insane theories and speculations! On today’s list: my little pony! In particular, one of it’s villains: cozy Glow. Now, with the series having reached its conclusion & a lot of questions left unanswered, I figured it would be a good idea to share my theory on at least one with where exactly this little criminal mastermind came from. So the first thing to take into consideration is ‘how?’ How exactly is discord responsible for cozy’s creation? Mind control. We’d seen him do it before all the way back in season two and something about cozy’s behavior strikes me as being very similar to how discord’s mind control works. Now, that leads to a bit of a problem, with discord being reformed. But I think the answer is that it took place before said reformation. Particularly, back in season three. My theory being that it happened in season three when he was released from his stone prison. He was seen trying to turn the main six against each other by getting fluttershy on his side and using the others distrust of him to force them to break apart, rendering the elements of harmony useless. We know part of his plan involved spreading a small amount of chaos -enough to grab everyone’s attention- and make them have to decide on what to do with him. So we can probably assume in order to get things started he would have to go out on his own without supervision, which again we see in the episode. The other thing we know is he’s afraid of the elements and what they can do to him. He learned his lesson (like siro) after his first encounter with them and has nooo desire let it happen again. So would it not make sense for him to have a backup plan for in case his first failed? Have a way to free himself from his prison? Me thinks this might be the case. The back up plan being: find an inconspicuous pawn to take under his control- say, an innocent looking young filly (nobody suspects children)- task them with finding a way to de-power the elements should he end up back in stone and free him. The next question then would be ‘why didn’t he change her back after he decided to change his ways?’ Simply put: he forgot. We saw in ‘princess twilight Sparkle’ that he didn’t recall planting the plunderseeds until after they had started growing into vines & attacking ponyville, and while it might be true that he did know but didn’t bother to say anything in order to teach a lesson- he still never bothered to dig them up in the intervening time. So I’m gonna say he forgot up until he saw them in person. And if he could forget about one failed scheme, it’s very possible he could have forgotten another. But then why not restore cozy after being reminded who she is? We know he knew about her in season nine. Because he needed her in order to set up one last test for twilight. He admitted that was the reason for bringing back all the villains he could in the finale. But what about after the finale? There was plenty of time after. Well, considering how angry everyone was at him for the stunt he pulled, I’m guessing he wasn’t to interested in telling everyone how much further his mistake went. So covers discord’s involvement, but what of cozy herself? What if she really was just a power hungry villain the whole time? I’ve heard some of the theories surrounding her, but looking at the evidence myself... some parts just don’t add up. The first being her behavior on screen. A lot of her ‘good deeds’ presented in the show were established as her manipulating those around her for her plans, but she does still seem to put a genuine effort into establishing a connection between her, tirek and chrysalis. Plus, she kinda goes out of her way to do kind things if this is just part of her scheme (perhaps this her true self peeking through?) . And if you still got doubts, then I’d refer you back to an instance during her first appearance. After the reveal that cozy didn’t get into twilight’s school and seeing the CMC’s getting blamed, she has a moment of regret over her actions. She could have been seen faking it, but why? there was no one around to see her. Best I could think is ‘that was a moment to confuse the audience’, but that still doesn't make sense why it was done in story if cozy was in fact meant to just be a megalomaniac. Second thing that confuses me is her motivation. How in the inferno does a child just up and legitimately try to take over the world? This may be a cartoon we’re talking about, but a certain amount of real world logic must still apply. After all, every other child character on the show has tended to act like- you know- kids. Like in real life. Now, true, starlight had plans of world domination from an early age but it’s implied she didn’t have the means to enact those plans until she was an adult. It also doesn't seem likely a child would be able to acquire all that would be necessary to conquer the world. And even then, where would that kind of motivation come from?? We know what starlight’s deal was, but what kind of motivation would cozy have? Is her mom the mane-iac or something (side note: awesome idea for a fanfic)? Lastly, her goal isn’t very consistent. Starting with trying to rid equestria of all magic (her mission), once that fails she joins grogar/discord’s villain team and ends by trying to take all the power for herself. if she wanted power, why not just take it in the beginning? she says explicitly in the season 8 finale that her plan was to rid equestria of magic, so the plan to take it for herself later doesn't add up. except, maybe if there was some kind of mind control spell messing with her mind. Maybe she broke away from discord’s control enough that she’s not following his instructions anymore. Maybe without that she’s left with a drive to take over the world, but no clear direction on how. And maybe her off putting acts of kindness are signs of who she really is. Or maybe I’m full of slag, but what do you think? dose this make sense or am I just insane (like the joker. which -much like endgame- is another movie I haven’t seen yet)? Either way, I hope you’ve enjoyed and sorry if this one’s a bit late. TFmaster out and glad to be back!

Ranking the Friendship is Magic Premiere's from Best To Worst
So, today I’m going to rank the Friendship is Magic Premiere's from best to worst and why. So with that being said, let’s get started.
1. Princess Twilight Sparkle- 10/10
I loved this premiere for many reasons and especially since this was the season that kicked off the new visuals for the rest of the series was really good. I particularly liked the lore in these two parts with the Tree Of Harmony and backstories such as Nightmare’s banishment and Discord’s imprisonment. I liked how this premiere put Twilight in a role where she had to step up as princess despite her being nervous about it and how she’s struggles with her wings. The plunderseeds attacking Ponyville and capturing the princesses put her in a position where she had to step up and take charge as a princess and a leader so that she’ll be ready (in Season 4’s case) to take charge if something were to happen to Celestia and Luna. There was nothing wrong with this premiere I enjoyed it and it remains my favorite premiere of the series.
2. The Return Of Harmony- 9.5/10
The Return Of Harmony is second because it was more emotional driven thanks to Discord. Twilight had to overcome the lack of friendship that the Mane 5 had while being corrupted by Discord which made for some funny scenes but also giving Twilight growth from the past season and how after 26 episodes she’s come to care for her friends. Also Discord was a highlight of the episodes. Unfortunately now, I really see Discord as a comedic base character but back in Season 2 he wasn’t a force to be reckoned with. He was technically the only villain to straight up win in Part 1 of the respective premiere. But I liked the friendship struggle that the Mane 6 had to go through while being affected by Discord’s spell and the Rainbow Dash chase scene was great too.
3. The Crystal Empire- 9.5/10
I liked the Crystal Empire a lot because it was nice getting a chance of scenery from Ponyville and Canterlot to see a new kingdom for the first time. I liked the introduction to dark magic and I really liked King Sombra. Despite being in the background for the majority of the two parter he was cunning and was a step ahead of everyone. Also going back on his defeat, the Crystal Empire citizens actually saved the day with their hope and love. I really liked the lore behind Sombra and the Crystal Empire. I liked how Cadance and Shining Armor weren’t one time characters and ended up being useful against the threat for as long as they could. Twilight and the Mane 6 got equals amount of screen time in the second half with Twilight and Spike finding the Crystal Heart while it pans back to one of the Mane 5 trying to keep the Crystal Ponies entertained. And of course Spike had a role in saving the day.
4. Friendship is Magic- 9/10
The premiere that kicked off the series. Right off the bat we start the episode off with narrative and lore about the Two Sisters and how Luna turned into Nightmare Moon. From that point we’re introduced to our main characters in the first half and they each get good amounts of screen time to know who our Mane 7 are and what they’re personalities are like and then at the end of the episode we end with a cliffhanger with Nightmare Moon making her first physical appearance and SHE WAS BEAUTIFUL! Part 2 was also good, with the Mane 5 each displaying their elements through different acts to overcome Nightmare’s obstacles (although Twilight states that they got through all the obstacles Nightmare threw at them, I don’t know how she put two and two together that the cliff was Nightmare’s fault WE as the audience knows but it’still a bit of a stretch). I also thought it was good that Twilight wasn’t easily able to use the elements and she realized that the elements were her friends actions that helped them. Ultimately good characterization for the start of the series.
5. The Beginning Of The End- 6/10
I only liked Sombra, Grogar, and the stakes that Sombra set into the episodes. The rest I didn’t care for because it was executed poorly. I understand passing down the mantle but the only thing Twilight has come close to in terms of royal duties is planning parties and functions. Twilight and the Mane 6 running Equestria when the seven of them are no where near qualified nor have any experience with running a country or the majority of them have actual jobs. Starlight being the principal of the School of Friendship....just no but then again the School was only there to promote the Student 6 so it’s not that important. On the flip side, I liked how Grogar was introduced as a villain who understood the essence of the Mane 6′s success by working together and I really would’ve liked to see Grogar use that strategy against the Mane 6...TOO BAD HE WAS USED FOR THE SAKE OF A FUCKING STUPID PLOT TWIST! (Season 10 comics BETTER elaborate on the REAL Grogar). The only villain I cared about returning was Sombra. Chrysalis and Tirek lost their villain likable status from me when they were turned into comical jokes and Cozy was just flat annoying. Now despite Sombra’s “new personality” he got more things done than the rest of the villains in the finale which I liked. His second death was pretty brutal. But Sombra giving stakes to the episodes were the only good things about this premiere.
6. Celestia Advice- 4/10
The staff learned never to do one episode premiere’s after this episode which I find funny. I’m gonna keep this really short. Seeing the background characters were nice. The new changeling forms were nice to look at. The best part about the episode was Celestia’s story to Twilight about how she had to send her to Ponyville. Everything else I didn’t care for and the episode was pointless by the end of it so it was just a waste of about 15-20 minutes.
7. The Crystalling- 4/10
FLURRY HEART IS THE CUTEST WIDDLE THING! I like how the Mane Cast and all 5 Royals were present in the episode. As far as the B plot I like Sunburst however he’s really just a plot point for Starlight and that’s it and I don’t like that at all. It’s not fair to him, he should be his own character without Starlight always being in range or mentioned. Yes, I get that they’re friends but they don’t have to be together all the time. Which was why I was happy when he got solo spotlight in A Trivial Pursuit. But other than that, it was alright.
8. School Daze- 3/10
I liked the Student 6 and the design of the School of Friendship. Despite Chancellor Neighsay being racial towards the other creatures, he was in the right in shutting down the school. The Mane 6 aren’t qualified as teachers and since they’re the go to heroes for Equestria so they won’t really have time to be at the school as well as the Mane 5 have jobs and professions. But they manage to make it “work” but the School of Friendship was a bad idea.
9. The Cutie Map- 1/10
I liked the Mane 6, Party Favor, Sugar Belle, Night Glider, and Double Diamond. The rest was boring. The town was boring. The colors were boring. Starlight was boring for being YET ANOTHER TWILIGHT COUNTERPART. What made it worse was that this came right after Rainbow Rocks where Starlight actually has similar colors to one of the main antagonists in the movie so much so that there was an actual theory if Starlight was the pony version of Aria Blaze. Another thing that was a turn off was this season starting the trend of non intense premiere’s. I mean if you look at the first 5 rankings on my list all of those have a degree of action and intensity to them as opposed to the bottom four. Another aspect that’s a turn off is the colors. The colors are dull and boring and I didn’t feel invested at all. Honestly, S5 for me was when MLP was slowly going down hill and then S6-S9 was when it really went down hill.
And these are my rankings for the premiere’s of Friendship is Magic. And these are my opinions and everyone has their own opinions so please don’t hate if you thought one premiere was better or worse than what I listed.
Shadowstorm Out! 💜🖤

MLP Post-Season 9 Adventures: The Next Challenge
*Delta Brony and Omega Brony watches in awe as Twilight Sparkle and her friends defeat Lord Tirek, Queen Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow, with the help of every creature in Equestria.*
[Omega Brony] “So... it is true. Twilight Sparkle has shown the villains the TRUE magic of friendship. It’s how they beat evil doers like myself.”
[Delta Brony] “I see Fizzlepop Berrytwist in the fray.”
[Omega Brony] :”We must act now Delta.”
[Delta Brony] “Of course. Because now... Princess Twilight Sparkle is now the NEW ruler of Equestria.”
[Omega Brony] “Curse you Twilight. I WILL have my revenge, and it will be personal.”
[Delta Brony] “Oh leave this to an expert. Cause I know someone that can beat her. While my team is pony watch, the trio prepares themselves as they have revived one of Twilight’s old foes... Lady Tirek.”
[Omega Brony] “THERE IS ANOTHER TIREK?!!”
[Delta Brony] “Summoned by Twivine Sparkle.”
[Omega Brony] “Twivine... the princess of plunderseeds!! That meddlesome mare is going to PAY for defying me.”
[Delta Brony] “She will get hers. You don’t have to worry about that, because I said to her...”
(flashback)
[Delta Brony] “If you see Twivine... destroy her immediately.”
[Lady Tirek] “Will do.”
(flashback ends)
[Delta Brony] “That was before I recruited Dr. Coyle, Wizpig and Nega Shantae.”
[Omega Brony] “Heheheheheheh!! Looks like things are about to go south for Twilight. It is only a matter of time. But enough talk... let’s get out of here before she notices us.”
*Delta and Omega retreats from the scene.*
[Delta Brony] “Remember this day Twilight Sparkle, you will be overthrown. And that bell is the only way to stop you in my tracks. But I have to get it first.”
To Be Continued...

Pone Reviews 31: Three’s a Crowd Happy Festivus and welcome back to Pone Reviews! In order to take your mind off that last-minute holiday shopping and inevitable time with the in-laws, I have concocted a review of a Season 4 episode starring Discord and Twilight. Twilight is at her adorkable-est in this episode, and Discord… well, let’s just say he’s up to no good. Here’s “Three’s a Crowd!” As usual, the moral first. “Even the most chaotic times can be good when you’re with a friend.” I find this to be very applicable for the holidays. See, I hate to break it to you, but life isn’t perfect, especially in December. People are elbow to elbow in the malls, scrambling to find things to give to loved ones and ease tension. And it’s highly unlikely most Christmahaunkkwanza events always go as planned. Yet there are ways you can make the most of it with your loved ones. Our oven broke around Christmas one year, so we couldn’t bake cookies. So we decided to forego the cookies and make Christmas fudge, which doesn’t require use of the oven at all. And here, Twilight and Cadance were interrupted by Discord during their travelling Star Swirl exhibit time. Even though Cadance didn’t get the relaxation she had hoped for, she still enjoyed herself because it was different than her slow life in the Crystal Empire. This is a great lesson that spans all generations. And maybe you don’t get what you want, but you get what you *need.* How about plot? It’s good character development for… Discord? Yes, I would say this episode doesn’t have much character development for Twilight and Cadance. It really enforces their characteristics, showcasing Twilight’s adorkableness and distrust of Discord and Cadance’s loving, patient nature and composure of a princess. As for development for Discord, the episode goes further with the idea that Discord hasn’t taken friendship too seriously after being revived. While Discord claims travelling to find the flower to cure his blue flu was a “friendship test,” let’s be real, we all know he did it just to screw up her time with Cadance. While it isn’t mentioned, it is clear he hasn’t quite embraced friendship all the way yet and takes advantage of his “friends” the most Discordy way he can. And he knows he can get away with it because Fluttershy is not there to defend him. But I hear you asking, “How is this different than his previous appearances?” Well, in “Keep Calm and Flutter On,” he doesn’t start changing his ways until the end. And most of Discord’s antics in “Princess Twilight Sparkle” are just annoying and not too disruptive to the plot, and the Plunderseeds were planted long before the start of his reformation. So the episode builds on established Discord characteristics and plants that good old-fashioned continuity. And it works, too! I really enjoyed this episode. Here’s some other things about this episode that tickled me: *OMG, a Discord song! It’s one of my all-time favorite songs for the show. Everything about it (including pop culture references to Harry Potter, Star Wars, Flashdance, and more) were incredible. John de Lancie also seems to be proud of it. I saw him at Emerald City Comic-Con and went to his panel. As he answered a Discord-related question, he added, “Did you all see my song?” to which he got applause. *The Tatzlwurm is COOL. Why do the coolest creatures get the least screentime? *As someone who was introduced to Gen 3 as a little girl, you can bet my heart nearly skipped a beat when Fluttershy mentioned the Breezies. I believe the Breezie episode hadn’t been revealed by that time, so there was a lot of nostalgia for me. *Hahahahahahahah Rarity pulls no punches hahahahahahahahah *Rainbow Dash complaining about Star Swirl was so Rainbow Dash. *Fluttershy’s Breezie-watching outfit is so cute! *Cadance’s train looks badass. Shame we haven’t seen it since this episode. *GET YA HANDS OFF MY SISTER-IN-LAW *Discord mentions Abyssinia during “Glass of Water”… isn’t a certain Capper from there? CONTINUITY FOR EVERYPONY *And Twilight’s Star Swirl costume is back! YOU GET CONTINUITY AND YOU GET CONTINUITY *Cuddle with a Pekingnese. And here’s some things that almost gave me a bit of blue flu regarding this episode: *Was Spike vomiting at the beginning? What was that all about? *HEY WHO’S THAT ORANGE PEGASUS ON CADANCE’S TRAIN? GO BACK TO EQUESTRIA GIRLS. *I feel like Pinkie Pie’s hyperactivity waxes and wanes. I shake my head at her being distracted by a BALLOON. *On the subject of Pinkie Pie, I’m kinda bummed we didn’t get a followup episode about the patio furniture sale like we did with the Breezies. *The Star Swirl logo is cool and all, but the way his beard wraps around is kinda… unsettling. *Discord swapping the manes on Twilight and Cadance also looks a little weird. *So… no explanation as to how Rarity and Applejack were cured of the blue flu? *There is no “Sunshine, Sunshine” dance when Cadance arrives and I am in withdrawal. *Okay, if Discord is as weak as he says he is, why are the ponies not calling him out on his OBVIOUS MAGIC USE? *Does Cadance’s magic bubble work on herself and Twilight when they’re not standing next to each other? All in all: An extremely Discordy episode with Discord development and continuity galore. But did he ever get his glass of water? 4 out of 5 rainbows 🌈🌈🌈🌈 That’ll do it for today’s Pone Reviews. Come back tomorrow where I prepare for Hearth’s Warming the only way I know how… with an episode review! Diamond out!
