Listen, I'll be honest, I'm not really in love with any of my Sims at the moment or the pairings I've got going on. So I'm bringing back an old couple I haven't played in years (and missing terribly!)

Jericho and Andy were two founders in my original BACC that, honestly, I did not expect would get together. They didn't SEEM to have anything in common... until Jericho decided he wanted a baby of his own and Andy agreed to be the baby mama/platonic co-parent. AKA they became friends with benefits, but caught feelings and eventually became an actual couple.

They ended up having three kids together by the time I stopped playing. Caeley (the FWB baby) was a young adult, they had a teenager named Fabe, and then their youngest was an oopsie baby (I think?) named Karter. She was only a toddler (pre-infants) when that save went RIP.

I think I gave like 20 facts just in the overview but here are some more.

I loved developing their friendship first and doing the whole "slow burn" thing. It was a great foundation for their romance!

They were so supportive of each other's dreams and goals.

He was an erratic sim, she was a lazy sim... It was my first time really playing with "negative" traits and it added a lot of depth to their characters.

Their eldest daughter Caeley was my all-time FAVORITE sim I've ever played. She still is to this day, and if you wanna see her in action she was adopted by @sparepartsbacc.

I don't know where their story would've gone if I'd kept up with my BACC, but I'm positive they would've been together until the end.

Thanks Payte for letting me gush about my old sims! I'd love to see which couple @cyazurai and @memoirsofasim love most right now!

In the late hours of the night/early hours of the morning on September 10th, 1316 there was a revolt in the lands of Granite Falls.

Llewelyn Bren and two of his sons launched a raid on the Windenbergish keep in Granite Falls. Their goal was to take their native lands back from the Windenbergish and free their countrymen.

While none of the Bren clan perished, Llewelyn did end up surrendering and is currently being held by Humphrey de Bohn in the very keep he tried to take.

His second son, Ythel, is also being dishonored by the other Granite Fallians for being a poor soldier.

While his physique is perfect for it, apparently he doesn’t have the stomach.

Paper Hat and Physician Cap

Conversions from the Sims 3 Store and The Sims Medieval.

The paperhat comes with three presets: Solid colour, paper-pattern and the original’s overlay. The default position is the one shown in the previews, but it is of course hatslider-compatible.

These hats do not use shared textures, so all files can be installed and uninstalled individually, independent of each other.

This is converted from the TSM "Jungfernkranz" hair, and I figured it might work as the sort of falling-hat that toddlers used to wear in the 18th century. Toddler male/female; a teen-to-elder version can be found here.

Bucket Hat Accessory

Originally this bucket is from EA’s Plants vs. Zombies bonus content. I used the accessory conversion for toddlers by Purple-Plumbobs and converted it for children (Purple-Plumbobs isn’t active under that name any more, but the download is here.) Mine sits over the eyes by default, because that’s what I needed for my story. It can be moved around with hatsliders. There’s a black pane inside, so you can’t see very far “up” in the bucket. Child only, male/female.

things that have helped me shift ⊹₊⟡⋆

DISCLAIMER, Just because I have shifted before doesn’t mean I am the Library of Alexandria. I’m a person just like you, learning as I go so I don’t have the answer to everything but I do try! I’m also not saying any of this will absolutely, 100% make you shift, but hopefully it can provide some perspective or insight into something you hadn’t thought about! !!! ANTIS DNI !!!

LANGUAGE — I’ve noticed since I first got into shifting that shifters will talk about/treat these realities like fanfiction or a role playing kinda thing??? It confused me before I had shifted because if this is real then why are people talking about themselves in the third person, or referring to others as “npc/non main characters”, or scripting in some crazy trauma for “fun”??? If you read anything of mine, you will notice I do not use words like “main character” or even “desired reality” because for me personally, it’s just reinforcing in my mind that this is not something that’s real or even close to something I can achieve.

Cut out third person language entirely. Stop referring to your “failed shifting attempts” as such, in fact, stop referencing it AT ALL. Stop keeping track. Stop referring to people in these realities as “main characters” or “npcs.” Stop coming back from an attempt thinking “damn I didn’t shift.”

INSTEAD, start saying that you shifted every time you attempt. “But I woke up in my O.R” who says? only you have a say in whatever reality you want to live in. Fake it til you make it. Start talking about people as they are, people. Use their names or nicknames. Watch a TikTok and think to yourself “yeah I’d send this to them.” FEEELLLLL IT. MAKE IT REAL TO YOUUUU.

LOGIC — After successfully shifting, I don’t tend to think about the “science” or “spiritual” side anymore BUT this is the logic that makes the most sense to me and is the simplest explanation I can think of. When you wake up in the morning, do you first check your phone or stand up to brush your teeth or stretch? Whatever path you choose is a shift in your reality. Every single choice you’ve ever made is a shift in your reality. As far as you know, if you checked your phone instead of stretching, you might pull something later on in the day that you wouldn’t have pulled had you stretched. But you didn’t. And now there’s a reality where you stretched, did the exact things, and didn’t pull a muscle because you stretched that morning.

THAT is reality shifting in its simplest form.

Manifesting can even be considered reality shifting because you’re shifting your current consciousness into one that is receiving said manifestion. The universe is infinite. Do not let the constrictions of others constrain you too.

“Yeah you can shift realities but not to those fantasy places like hogwarts, that’s not possible” why not? If you’ve just admitted can shift realities, why are “fantasy” realities so different to you? Because HERE in THIS reality, they are fantasy. In that reality, it is everyday, it is normal, it’s just another Tuesday. Shifting is simply becoming aware of your consciousness in another reality, similar to switching characters in video game like The Sims 4, from one plumbob to another and yes, that easy.

MEDITATION — You don’t need anything to shift realistically, but the one thing I recommend for anything is meditating. It’s a skill and, like any other, one that can be refined and perfected over time. Learning to get into a state of pure consciousness is a practice that existed for centuries, anybody can do it and doing it will only ever benefit you. You can meditate when you wake up, before you fall asleep, when you’re sitting up, WHENEVER! I’ve always felt better after a meditation, shifting related or not. It also helps me feel better when I don’t end up shifting because at least I’ve honed in and practiced that meditation technique, yk? Positives in everything!

OTHER PRACTICES — If nothing else, I recommend trying different spiritual practices and adding a lil sprinkle of shifting in there! This applies to religion as well in case that isn’t clear lol. If you don’t follow any specific spiritual practice, try pegan spell work (with protection and research ofc), research any herbs that aid in things like enhancing spiritual energy. If you pray to a God, you can “work” with your God in a sense to aid you in this personal journey, whether that be through journaling or actual prayer, prayer is an amazing manifestion technique and I do believe it can help with reality shifting considering it’s not against any religions. And if you don’t want to do any of this, come up with something for you and you only! A ritual can be anything you make it. You decide what works for you at the end of the day.

REMOVAL — This helped me the most in my opinion, I completely stepped away from online communities doing anything with reality shifting ( specifically shifttok ) and followed my own intuition of how to go about shifting, doing shadow work to figure out any blockages/questions I had, and just overall made shifting fun again for myself! The main thing I did was learn more about manifesting because the manifestion community does NOT play, they do not believe in limitations and they love LOA(ssumption) which is my fav so!

LUCID DREAMING — Not the actual act of lucid dreaming but learning about lucid dreaming and astral projection really makes you understand that anti shifters are so ignorant to what these things actually are it’s insane! People didn’t even believe that you could control your dreams 10-20 years ago, they genuinely thought dreams were just something that happens to you. Nowadays, we obviously know that you can control your dreams but this is just proof that nobody knows what they’re talking about fr. I guarantee you, a few years from now, people are gonna be talking about reality shifting the same way they talk about lucid dreaming, CASUALLY. Reality shifting is not some big thing of grandeur that only “special” people can do, the same way everyone can lucid dream, is the same way everyone can reality shift, and astral project.

All this is to say, stop fucking listening to other people LMAOOO. That’s gonna be my advice every single time because too much of anything will become a problem. Advice is good when you’re starting out and I don’t mind giving advice on that, but nobody knows you better than you know yourself, even if you don’t think you know what to do, I PROMISE you on everything, you know what’s best for you. You know what works, and you know what doesn’t, YOU KNOW. Believe yourself. Nobody else matters.

Just before Heather Nesbitt’s 21st birthday, her youngest sister, Hazel, announced she’d fallen for her longtime friend, Nicola Moody-McMillan. The family was happy for her, but a twinge of sadness pulled at Heather’s heart. Holly was engaged to Kris Bell, River had promised his future to Cassandra Goth, and now the baby of the Nesbitt clan, blue-eyed Hazel, had declared one of her childhood besties her one true love. Heather couldn’t help but feel a little like she was missing out, even though she loved her independence.

She put her feelings aside to celebrate her birthday at the Gnome’s Arms, the riverfront pub across Finchwick Square, just a few steps from their front door. She blew out the candles on a honey cake made by her dad, Neal, and danced until Everett pulled her away to the ruins. He would never stop loving her, nor she him, but they shared a fleeting kiss among the crumbling stones and agreed they were both on the right paths, however far they diverged from one another.

She would soon leave for Spencer’s bachelorette trip to Selvadorada, and Holly was planning a vacation from school to join, too. She wanted to catch exotic fish, of course, while studious Heather couldn’t wait to follow adventurous Spencer around ancient temples in the Belomisia Jungle that they’d read so much about in school.

At home in Henford, Heather loved to tear through the blue water and let Cordelia Falls wash over her, but she cut her usual morning swim in the River Bagley short – today she had to say goodbye to her good friend, Dylan Kraus. Now that they’d graduated and despite her clingy mother Susan’s trepidation, Dylan was moving to San Myshuno to work as an electrical engineer. Heather didn’t know when they’d see each other next, but as fate would have it, her next trip to San Myshuno would come just weeks later, when Malcolm Landgraab called to invite her to the Romance Festival in the Arts Quarter.

(NOTE: At some point this generation I start to get better with getting the plumbob out of the way, but I'm still too reliant on headlineeffects to tell me the names of random sims around town and sometimes the plumbob will sneak by. Honest apologies!)

I have something NEW and REALLY exciting coming up in tomorrow's queue! 💚💚💚

I know I've tried multiple BACCs since my original Plumbob Falls, some more successful than others... but this one's gonna be it, I can feel it! (And if it's not... well, sorry to disappoint yet again... I'm really trying!!)

It just feels SO MUCH like my original BACC, the one that had me absolutely OBSESSED with the game for YEARS... until the same face toddler glitch just ruined everything... among other bugs that made the save unbearable to play... but the toddlers all having the same face was really the nail in the coffin of Plumbob Falls.

BUT ANYWAY! No complaining in this post! We're gonna be positive! 🥳

I've played through a full year already (I wanted to make sure I was really into it before posting... and I am!). I've been editing it the same way I did my old old old BACC, doing similar storytelling/dialogue, and it just feels SO nostalgic! The sims are really vibing and it's actually been so much fun! I keep choosing to play that save instead of ANYTHING else (including Sims 2) which says a lot.

Also it's almost vanilla, with only some defaults and a few necessary mods like MCCC and UI Cheats... which means I won't get stressed every month on patch days! Honestly, patches are what have killed all of my other attempts at playing a save so I'm REALLY hopeful this will help me out.

This is my CC-free era and it's been SOOO freeing!

Anyway here's a sneaky look at tomorrow's queue!

potential lore bits and bobs to explore in the new hood i'm planning:

Daddy Bigbucks is a TV mogul, specifically in the reality TV industry. Nearly every reality show in SimNation for the past 50 yrs can be attributed to him in some way. He's always looking for new ideas, new stars shove in front of a camera and make him some big bucks! So when he meets the handsome but indecisive and lost-in-life Michael Bachelor at horror movie actress and socialite Bella Goth's house for an industry party he immediately sees simoleon signs as a new idea starts to form: A reality show where one bachelor dates multiple women in a quest to find true love.

Thousands of women audition for a chance to be Mrs. Bachelor, but Daddy Bigbucks knows a star when he sees one and so only the best of the best of the best are chosen. One of these lucky ladies is the starry-eyed Dina Caliente. As the show airs, people fall in love with Michael and Dina, as they too fall in love with each other for the world to see. Their whirlwind romance garners much attention, launching the couple to stardom. After marrying, they enjoy a comfortable, luxurious life in SimValley and Dina goes on to star in Daddy Bigbucks' next hit: The Real Housewives of SimValley. However, not all this attention is good.

Over the years Dina attracts many admirers, some who are jealous of Michael. One such admirer decides to take things to the extreme. At an industry party in Studio Town the stalker manages to get in. They've been biding their time, waiting for a moment when Michael is in low aspirations. Seeing the orange plumbob above his head, the stalker slips a lethal dose of Elixir into Michael's drink when he is unawares. The next sip ages Michael rapidly, resulting in his sudden death! The party is thrown into chaos. Confusion ensues. The authorities chalk it up to Studio Town partying gone wrong. Elixir is no secret around these parts, everyone dabbles a bit in it, when your livelihood depends on you looking young and glamorous. Dina insists Michael wasn't one to be irresponsible with Elixir, considering his brother-in-law invented it! But they dismiss her claims that someone did this to him! The murder of Michael Bachelor to this day remains....unsolved.

I highly suggest you head on over to @pinkishwrld and grab one of her amazing plumbob recolors to really tie the aesthetic together. I use her beige version because it goes really well with almost every loading screen I have (and I'm a beige girly, I'll admit it 😏).

Anyway, as with any other loading screen, please remember that you can only have one of these files installed in your game at a time. You're more than welcome to download them all and cycle through them throughout the fall season, but just be sure there's only one in your mods folder! It's my birth month and I usually loathe my birthday but love November, the weather, the way the air gets crispy and fills with the scent of woodburning stoves and firepits. ♏ I dislike pumpkin spice flavored drinks because pumpkin is not a spice.
