but I’ve never thought about his life with you much???? but I do believe that once he comes in and gets acclimated with the others, he becomes the odd one out, instead of your Katsuki even tho you guys don’t even have kids yet!!!!

but it’s bc villain bkg does have a daughter (just one which already earns him a few scoffs) but he doesn’t….have her as much as the others do. his entire life isn’t revolved around her, he doesn’t take her hunting or show her how the world works. he doesn’t smother you in affection back home (mainly bc you won’t let him anymore) and he just becomes so isolated from the others in that sense.

but when he goes back home to his own universe, he’s a little different. he was hesitant to see his daughter often, didn’t want her to look at him in disgust and horror when he picks her up with his bionic arm, even tho the cold metal is all she’s ever known from him. he’s scared that she’ll be scared of him, that she’ll recognize his destruction on the news when she looks at him for too long. that she’ll run away in terror if he were to smile at her.

he comes over to your house the night he returns. asks if he can see her, even though its past midnight, but you let him in anyway. watch how he stands at her doorway, the soft kiss he presses to her forehead. he sits on your couch in silence for the longest moment before he speaks, his voice quiet, whispering that he wants to be there. that he wants to do better and be better. that he can’t be both a shit person and a shit father.

you give him the benefit of the doubt, but you do start to see improvements in him. he drops off her favorite snacks more, and takes her to secluded parks where he won’t be recognized. he buys her too much ice cream, but it’s only a weak apology for not being there for her beforehand. he doesn’t cause as much destruction in the city anymore, too preoccupied with showing up to parent teacher conferences, ready to cuss out her teacher for giving his baby a 92 instead of the 100 she deserved.

I think bc of his competitive nature, and especially the way the other Bakugou’s damn near cussed him out for being an absent parent and how he must be a defective version of them because none of them are this shitty—that he changes, just a little. it’s not drastic and it’s not overnight, but he realizes that he has to be better. if not for himself, than for his daughter and maybe—maybe a little bit for you too.

This whole time I’m listening and smiling but on the inside his autopsy is already monogrammed in my mind’s eye bruh it’s so over

be delusional with me for a second and let’s pretend house didn’t air mid 2000’s. imagine a finale where house takes his vicodin, realizes yet again that he’d rather have wilson in his life more than anything, and they look in each other’s eyes as he carefully leans forward, kisses wilson so softly, and drops the last pill into his mouth. they’re disgusting, disheveled, in pain. wilson smells like sweat and vomit, house is shaking from holding himself together and beginning to detox. but he’s real. he feels real, wilson feels real, a weight in his arms, and he tries to imagine a life without wilson in it. he can’t. so he does what he can, holds wilsons hand as he squeezes with all the pressure he can muster, house whispering “i can’t let you go. i need you. you need me.” as he rests his forehead against wilson’s.

they don’t kiss later. they don’t even hold hands outside of this, and the show ends exactly the same way. but now wilson hears how needed he is, out loud, spoken honestly, and he knows he can die happy as he spends the rest of his time with the love of his life.

Dottore acts annoyed and all at first, but as time goes on he's a bit worried about you, forgetting minor stuff is one thing, but what if something serious happens and you can't remember? He won't stand for you getting hurt while he's around. And more importantly, he wants you to live a better life, one that isn't hindered by your memory. Seeing you stressed and upset is of no benefit to either of you. So often times he finds himself working on a cure in his lab. Totally not because he cares about you too much - he just wants you to be more productive and useful to him, that's what he claims at least.

Thankfully, at the very least, you have a lot of segments to remember for you. They've learned to have hawk eyes on your glasses and any other items you're prone to losing. Perhaps at some point, they each have another pair of glasses in their room for you just in case neither of you can find it. Maybe some kind of tracker is embedded in the glasses too? A voice recording for you to listen to with places where you usually leave things. Whatever can help you find them.

Even if none of the older segments are available to help you, you still have a very reliable helper whose name is Zandy! Despite his age, he takes his job of helping you very seriously. You find it cute how he has a list of items he reads out to you that you check to make sure you have. Even though he's still a child, enhanced memory comes with being a segment.

- hey so I haven't seen an interpretation of the bar scenes in Half that I fully agree with, so I wanted to throw my own two cents out there into the void and pray that it makes sense !!!

so, in the bar scenes in Half we see what I interpret as a hangout with old friends (or, hangout with old friend + his wife.) These scenes used to be the biggest piece of evidence for the cheater theory, but now that that's been debunked by the man himself, I have a new way of looking at them

~ before I go any further, I just wanted to say that I'll be calling the brown-haired woman whiskey for simplicity's sake

In this scene, Kazui turns to look at Whiskey, saying the lyrics:

"laughing together, side by side, this distance in our relationship is misleading me, is this what happiness is?"

With my guess (cuz that's really what it is there's no evidence for it) that Whiskey is the Bartender's wife i think this scene is Kazui being conflicted with what he's been told is true, that marrying Hinako is "true love", versus what he feels is true, that marrying Hinako has brought distance into their relationship.

He looks at Whiskey, a woman happily married, and wonders why his relationship with Hinako isn't like that.

For the sake of this writing I'm going to go with the first meaning they put out, that Bartender's ring is gold because his marriage is genuine.

But wait!! I hear you ask. This is Half and Kazui's ring is still gold in Half!! EXACTLY MY FRIEND!!

Kazui's ring IS still gold in Half because at the time of these scenes he's still fooling himself that this relationship is good, that he will eventually garner real romantic feelings for Hianko.

He's beginning to doubt if what he believes is true, he's beginning to believe the feelings telling him something's wrong (and remember, the scene right after this one is when he confesses (?) his secret to Hinako) ARE infact true, and that maybe the logic he's been following for so long has a couple holes in it.

I think these scenes are meant to show Kazui gradually realising that his relationship with Hinako will not work out. It just won't, no matter how hard he tries.

He's able to laugh together and talk with Whiskey because she's his friend, yet he can't do the same with his own wife? Even though, according to his gold ring, their relationship is supposed to be real and true and genuine?
