We need serious help. A friend was able to cover our electric bill and the remaining storage unit, but she can't cover our rent, and all our SSI/SSDI will go towards more loan payments next month. I now need to come up with an additional $1720 for my rent next month by the 5th and other assorted charges we need to pay. I can't be homeless again. Please help?

I need $217 for the electric bill, my mother still needs $474 to pay off a loan by the 29th as well, and I need $150 to cover a debt. Please help?

For those not aware, we currently do not have a working car, my mother was recently hospitalized for a week and still has lingering health issues, my daughter is about to start HRT and I got second-degree burns on my neck and chest over a week ago that needs to heal. I’ve had a lot happen. My ACL was torn on a plane which will require surgery, which my doctor has now forbid me to work on till I have said surgery. Plus the ceiling in one of the bedrooms caved in. Electric (Weekly): $300.00 (The electric got raised and it’s been about $60 a day i’m drowning here)

Food (Bi Weekly): $150.00 (I can make stuff last but we need some food.)

Spay For Both Girls: $150.00 (Also postponed but again, sooner rather then later would be best for them.)

I'm going to break my very strict format for once because I need your help. For the past 9 years, the irl human behind this blog has been involved in the effort to save a museum from incompetent and money hungry executives.

The museum is filled with precious objects, telling the story of the history of technology, and how it relates to art and society.

Many of these are objects are large, but delicate and have been in place for over 30 years.

No one within the museum's community trusts the CEO, who was appointed by a hostile former government, and prefers renting out museum spaces for business functions over educating the public.

In a few days, the museum is set to close down for renovations. Yet none of the staff or volunteers have been given any clear details about these plans. All we know is displays which have inspired generations will be torn down, likely never to be restored.

URGENT AS OF 01/06/2025

Yall know the drill. I have to pay the rest of rent this weekend at $350.

I had food poisoning last week so I'm only getting about 40 hours of pay for the last two weeks on January 10th.

I have $100 for insurance and $42 coming out of the paycheck before I get it. I currently am not in the negtives for once which thank God but I have 4 days before i get paid. I also have $150 is being taken out the day I get paid from the IRS.

SO I'm worried. Literally any money I get is going towards rent. To pay with my card, I have a fee charged in my rent app. I will reconnect my bank app but I have to pay asap so small amounts will have fees.

do any of you ever lay awake at night thinking about how Kremy gifted Gideon a comb even though, obviously, lizardfolk don't have any hair.

because that means that Kremy went out of his way to get Gid this gift. A comb isn't just something an alligator would have or just collect somewhere to have it for later, Kremy likely never needed or thought of having anything of the sort.

But Kremy noticed how roughed up Gideon was, how he didn't have anything on him to take care of himself and Kremy came up with the idea and then spent time and possibly money (or he just swiped it but still) to find a nice comb just for Gideon and then gave it to him.

Nikkie described it so beautifully that it was the first time someone saw Gideom as his own man and that also makes my heart ache so much. But I just can't stop thinking about how freaking Kremy Lecroux, went out of his way, to get a thing he likely never even thought of getting, just to give it to his partner (in crime). Like yeah sure we can talk about how Kremy wouldn't want to travel with someone unkept but I don't think it's that. He'd get Gideom a bath and a haircut or something at an inn and done, issue solved. But no, Kremy specifically wanted to get a thing for Gideon, he wanted him to have something that's just for him, something to help him get his sense of self back, his looks and help him find his confidence.

It was thoughtful gift from Kremy who probably is the last person to do thoughtful gifts to just some people. But he made that gesture for Gideon.

like do you ever just lay there and think about all that and how they both must have felt almost an instant bond forming between them, doesn't matter if it's platonic or romantic, like do you just-- yeah.
