I'd say he comes off intense... in a lot of ways.

I feel Cronus ends up insufferable with his obsession. He's clingy and insecure and sometimes just comes off as rude. He feels very entitled to you no matter what Quadrant he wants to place you in.

Rejection is definitely what drives his obsession. He can't afford to fail anymore. Which is what makes him so persistent.

Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

Cronus is more desperate and emotional with his obsession. He's dramatic and wouldn't really be one to kill. He prefers to just antagonize or drive away those he feels are too close to you.

Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?

Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

I have a feeling he'd seem mocking but isn't actually mocking you. He comes off as a very demanding yandere who wants his darling to sink every ounce of attention they have into him.

Even in captivity he is very draining. He'll give you care to keep you with him... but he mostly intends to take advantage of your affection.

Most likely yeah. As I said before he is mostly very demanding no matter the quadrant.

Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?

I'd say at times he's very vulnerable. He is open with his darling and often emotional. Sometimes it feels like manipulation... other times he may genuinely be opening up to you.

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

Upset, irritated, exasperated... you'd think he'd be used to rejection by now. But no... it only drives him further. He'd probably argue with you before finding a way to stop your outburst.

Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?

No and he hates it.

Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?

Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?

When it comes to Cronus I'm sure a few come to mind.

However, I'd say when he eventually snaps and kidnaps you. Cycles of rejection after rejection drives him crazy. He's going to do anything to force you into a quadrant with him.

Even if it means some restraints.

He doesn't care. As long as you're in a quadrant with him he's happy. Then he can finally get that attention he's been wanting.

Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

Yes to an overwhelming degree. He will definitely lash out in the form of a verbal argument with either you those around you. I can't imagine him coping too quietly.

Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?

Clingy, Demanding, Desperate, Manipulative, Dramatic... need I say more? He would be draining to be around.

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?

He'd definitely follow you around and stalk you. He'd try flirting or starting fights between you depending on the quadrant. He would be relentless and hard to be around.

He's desperate, of course he would be.

If that doesn't work? He'll try something new.

To the far left is my breath t-shirt that I got with a comfort character package from etsy, which is also where I got that letter!! What's in it is for my eyes only ehehe,, and up top there is the john candle from Honey Weasel Candles!! I got it at SAHCon this year along with a lot of other candles and I love love love it, I highly recommend them for candle girlies

Those two little paper things are some stickers I got with the Heir hood today!! They're absolutely adorable, I don't wanna use them lol

And in the very center is my prized john keychain from Requiem x Homestuck 2023, I have all four of the kids from 23, but not any from 24 since I wasn't a huge fan of the artstyle

And that breath pin is another thing from etsy! I got it to wear on my work hat and I got some compliments on it lol, I have it since I'm a breath player but he is too, so I counted it

This bracelet is my biggest comfort,, I never take it off and the jingles soothe my anxiety if I'm overstimulated,, I totally forgot about it because I'm wearing sleeves lol, but this is my prized possession,, along with my ancient mew pokemon card, but that's a collection for another day

Out of everything you have read/watched (e.g ORV, Homestuck, I think you saw Mob Phsyco, etc) in the past year or two, what would you say your most recommended is (and even your favourite if you can decide one?)

lol seriously though orv is straight up undertale levels of "metanarrative that fucks your entire life sideways". i cannot recommend it enough to at least give it a try. another thing that orv does like UT is that it filters its own audience so that its story has maximum impact. ie: you won't replay the same game dozens of times with minimal changes to the gameplay unless you 1) really love the characters and 2) want to absorb every crumb and bite that the game has to offer -> flowey's story will hit like a truck. in much the same way, orv develops a narrative crafted to emotionally devastate people who dedicate their heart and souls to stories and fiction (especially as a coping mechanism), which... you kinda have to be if you're willing to read a novel so fucking long HAHAHAHA. so hmmmm preeetttty please :pleading: give it a shot? you don't have to read much if it doesn't hook you in but i promise it is SO much better than you can possibly imagine

okay orv screaming fit over. i haven't watched mp100 yet but i HAVE read the manga! which i wholeheartedly recommend. i don't have a good way to express it but the way the plot unravels is so... light? not as in fluffy, but as in it doesn't weight you down. it's FUN to read, and while it definitely has characters that will rattle around your head forever, it doesn't exhaust you with it.

also utena. no cap, no kidding, if more people watched this series it would dramatically improve the reading comprehension of this entire website. nothing, and i mean NOTHING, has sharpened my literary analysis skills quite as much as the symbolism in rgu. one of those few pieces of art where i looked at it, experienced it, and it made me go "i want to create something that affects people in the same way this has affected me"

homestuck was also fun! it eventually lost me when the troll saga was fully integrated into the main plotline, too many characters introduced at once and too little time to care about them enough to keep track (at least for me). i would still recommend it. the early story is still incredibly solid, the sburb reveal is fun, and it plays with its own medium in some genuinely incredible ways. also it is quite funny. alas.

alright here we go i get to talk about THIS shit now.

i was generally anti-rpf at that point, and honestly? i think it was for fair enough reasons as some people were a bit too eager about showing (general) youtubers stories they wrote about them sucking and fucking their friends. i think i was also pretty high and mighty about being a somewhat oldhead phannie tbh, like ugh do these gaming-channel-only people even know about dan being super edgy and offensive 🙄 and lowkey it was a lot of subtly misogynistic "i'm not like other girls" type shit like i was sooo much better than yall cuz i hadn't watched that video (yet.)

i was generally not into these sorts of fandoms to begin with. i wasnt on the superwhopotterlock side, i was on the homestuck/dangan ronpa/anime of the month side of tumblr, if that gives you an idea of what i was like lol. around 2014-15 i was very much in a community that is kinda similar to what you might see on twitter now, where if you had any interests in media that portrayed anything problematic, that means you are in full support of that problematic thing. if dan howell said something racist in 2010, it doesn't matter that he wasn't being racist in 2015 he's still racist and liking him makes you a racist etc. and of course, rpf is included in problematic topics. if you ship real people, even if said people say they don't mind it, you are a sick pervert and you should be in the loony bin for being so depraved. and if you write or read any fiction that has immoral acts, it means you support those acts in real life too and you are trying to normalize abuse and SA (yknow as if whitecishetpatriarchy hasnt normalized that enough) and you're a danger to children and you deserve to rot in prison (yknow as if a queer person writing stories about queer people hasnt heard that one before)

now here's the real kicker. in 2015-2016 i ran a game grumps fan blog where i did talk about shipping the grumps. "wait how were you anti-rpf if-" well have you ever heard of this thing called Lying? or perhaps even, Cognitive Dissonance? i HAD to run a separate blog for this interest, because if my friends knew i consumed slashfic about arin and danny they would stop being friends with me and think im this evil horrible monster etc. genuinely that was where my brain was at, and is a little bit the reason i decided to this day, to make my phannie accounts completely separate from my main accounts.

also, yeah i grew out of thinking consuming media with deplorable acts makes me deplorable. my favorite tv show is hannibal. i know its shocking, but i dont actually support serial killer cannibals. i will say, i dont fuck with "pro/anti" language with regards to what is considered "problematic" or having that be an identity marker. i think that people are free to write fiction as they please so long as its all properly tagged for people who dont enjoy that kind of content to avoid. but i also think there can be and often are problems in the way these stories are written, and yeah if all the romance stories you read growing up involve some sort of force or danger, that CAN normalize this sort of action as inherent to romance stories/real life romance. but i think thats an issue with like, society at large, and it's not on an individual fic writer to be educating teens who read their dead dove fic despite the explicit rating and tags.

Alter Ego by butterstotchcandy: Ongoing, but a REALLY GOOD TFBW + COLLEGE AU!! The basic premise is that everyone from South Park lost their memories during some mysterious amnesiac epidemic, and it's up to Kyle - who has recovered memories of his superhero identity and powers - to find the rest of the gang and the culprit. Everyone's characterisations are so well done here. It's the perfect mix between fluff and mystery and I'm so hooked and excited to see the plot unfold + Style's relationship grow! There's also bonus Creek here. :)

War Games by CiceroProFacto: Also ongoing, BUT THIS IS DELICIOUS ANGST. It's a modern world and Stick of Truth swap AU where both of the Kyle's have swapped worlds. Stan and Kyle are also bitter ex-best-friends so this is a must read if enjoy reading messy Style where they hate each other. :) I really love how the author characterises both the modern and Stick of Truth versions of our two boys.

Entries from the Past by ViviBaby69420: Ongoing! Wow, this one blew my mind when I came across it?! It's a really cool take on the Stick of Truth AU where King Kyle and Ranger Stan Marshwalker meet in the forest during the war. The worldbuilding is super detailed. Read this if you're more in the mood for a something reminiscent of classical novels. It's also the best execution of first person POV in all my time of reading fanfics (alongside Strider's Edge from Homestuck)

Mood Ring by HedgehogSquadGoals: Ongoing. Honestly, I'm not sure if the author is still in the fandom as the last update was in 2020, BUT STILL, I'm happy to have read this fic anyway, abandoned or not! <3 It's a very sweet and hilarious romcom of Stan being wildly in love with Kyle, who is so terribly oblivious his affections... and everyone else watches on in pain. The banter between everyone is on point and this is one of the few high school Style fics I adore.

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Jealousy, Possessive behavior, Mature language/Swearing, Emotional manipulation, Desperation, Angst, Mild yandere compared to most fics, Attempted break up, Toxic relationship (obviously), Dubious relationship.

Okay, he'll admit it, he messed up.... He knows his temper gets the best of him at times but surely you know that, right? Don't you know he never means to hurt your feelings?

He'll admit he was an ass to yell at you so harshly. It's natural for humans and trolls to be social. He just got upset because he felt you were ignoring him....

He, as your Matesprit/boyfriend, never liked the idea of sharing you. He felt in control when you gave all your attention to him. He feels like he's special when you shower him in loving gazes and affection.

Karkat tends to get easily jealous... supposedly now was the last straw. He ended up letting his temper get ahold of him and he confronted you. In a blind rage and ranted and raved about thr fact he didn't like you hanging out with your friends, troll or not.

That was when he messed up.

Afterwards you told him it was over. Things between you and him were over. The idea of that struck him hard.

No, no, no...! What has he done!?

"A-Are you serious...?" He isn't screaming anymore, if anything he's still in shock. His voice is soft. He feel intimidated under your harsh gaze.

"You heard me, I refuse to have you control me, Karkat." You state, not budging from your idea. It didn't matter how upset Karkat looked to you. It was about time you called things off.

Karkat goes silent as he watches you pack. You and him had shared a home for so long. He's been infatuated with you for so long.

Suddenly, his breathing quickens and he decides he needs to make a move.

"You can't leave! I need you, please, I'll do anything!" Karkat pleads, latching onto you like a scared toddler. You go into shock when you feel him wrap his arms around your waist. You could feel tears drip onto your clothes near your shoulder.

"Let me go, Karkat. Now." You try to order, only for Karkat to shake his head. His face is stained in a red tinge due to his tears. You hate that you feel bad.

You try not to focus on the fact Karkat was sniffling against you. He had yelled at you... he had shown his true colors... you can't stay here. No matter how much you try to pry him off Karkat only pushes himself closer.

"Just tell me what to do!" Karkat continues. "I'll make it up to you! I'll be better! I'll stop being so jealous.... Just don't leave me alone!"

You pause in your endeavors and take a deep breath. Karkat continues to sob into your clothes. Sighing you grit your teeth, turning yourself around and holding him back.

"Do you really promise to stop being so possessive?" You whisper, Karkat's watery eyes looking up at you. You catch him nod and sigh again. "... You're a crybaby."

Karkat stills for a moment, sniffling. He looks like he wants to fight you on that but gives up. Instead he snuggles closer to your warmth.

You really should leave him. You know you should. Yet it appears the troll has you on a tight emotional leash.

As a result... you coax your troll partner over to your bed and hold him close. The toxicity Karkat exhibits is bound to get worse. However... for now... you'll be by his side as you hate to see him like this.

Deep down Karkat feels bad for pulling at your emotions to get what he wants, he knows you see yourself as in the wrong because of him...

But now he knows, at least for now, you won't leave him.

not so hot take: what sophie, i know you're usually very open for debate/criticism, which is why i am going to bother to debate you on this one. this isn't gonna be formatted great i like just woke up and am infected with the "chronically unserious" that i am occasionally stricken with but lets talk about this first off did we watch the same debate because that man looked like he was on another planet, he fumbled so many times on such easy talking points that it was genuinely concerning for most people watching. second off, biden has had a history of his mental decline being commented on (may 2023 article) (and here's another for the sake of it (nov 2022 article) ). the issue is that both parties are too old to be doing this. putting them on that podium frankly felt like watching elder abuse to me. as someone who has first-hand witnessed dementia and the effects it has on a person, i can safely say i am terrified for what will happen if joe biden is voted into office. if i had to guess, i would say his decline will only get worse exponentially from here, especially if he's put in a place like the president of the united states. i give him a year of general clarity from here, tops, but this paragraph is mostly personal opinion and anecdote so feel free to ignore it. third off, are we forgetting about the fact he denies there being a genocide going on in gaza? not to mention sending literal billions of dollars to funding that genocide? people don't call him genocide joe for no reason, sophie. the only fathomable reason joe biden would ever look competent is because he's put next to donald trump, one of the literal most incompetent, awful individuals in the known universe. to go over some of your points - he's willing to fight for human rights: see him funding a genocide. he's also done fuckall about... well, anything honestly. Hot take: Joe Biden made way more rational arguments than his opponent in the debate, citing actual facts to combat the fascist's lies, but everyone decided he "lost" because his voice was hoarse and he tripped over his words or lost track of what he was saying in a couple places.

What the debate response really shows is America's ableism. Because what I saw is someone who is well-informed and willing to fight for human rights and stand for a better America. And he's been torn apart because he wasn't the best speaker given a time limit of a minute to spit out a response.

Speaking as someone with autism, who so often struggles articulating my own thoughts, I relate to that.

If this causes Biden to lose to a man who is making up lies about invaders pouring over the border from insane asylums, has threatened to bring back mental institutions and lock up homeless people in them, and used his position as President to cyberbully an autistic teen... well, it will show what America really thinks of its neurodivergent population.
