Hey, question for all the other sapphic folks out there:

Do you ever find that there’s often a definitive answer for the age-old, “Do I I like her or do I want to BE her,” question?

Like, I’ve been thinking about this a lot (mostly because I’ve been back to questioning my sexuality), but I find that looking back, whenever I’ve had that conundrum it can be resolved with, “You like her, and want to imitate her in order to make her like you back.”

And like, historically in my struggles with internalized homophobia I’ve rationalized, “I’m jealous and therefore I hate her and I need to be in competition with her.”

But has it been like that for anyone else? I don’t know if it’s just a me thing or a common experience

i’m sorry but this is so shitty. i get not wanting to see nsfw of your characters, and i totally respect any creator setting boundaries and asking people not to send them that stuff. HOWEVER, you have to accept that once you make your characters public, people are going to treat them in ways you don’t personally like.

making a COPYRIGHT FORM so people go on a witch hunt, just so you can copyright strike them (falsely, mind you. fanfic and fanart fall under transformative works) is such a gross thing to do.

it doesn’t matter if the characters were based off your childhood, or personal experiences. it doesn’t matter how tightly you want to guard them and keep them safe and pure. the only solutions are setting boundaries between you and your fanbase, removing the characters from public eye and stop making content for them publicly, or learn to ignore it.

going all anne rice over people sexualizing a character is not the way to go though.

season six spuffy is also nuts bc spike is clearly like. please just tell me i’m good and let me sit at your feet on the off chance you want to give me scraps and buffy WANTS to hold his leash (and yank on it) and she wants him to bite her hand so she has an excuse to hit him except. that sort of urge would upend the status quo (not just in their relationship but again, the bedrock the slayer/vampire dynamic is built upon) so instead spike has to play the corrupting influence to buffy’s reluctant and seduced white knight and it doesn’t fit either of them anymore!!!!!!!! spike says “you belong here in the shadows with me” but it sounds like “i accept you for all that you are and nothing in the dark could resist you” spike says “stop me” but it sounds like “tell me what you want” spike says “look at your friends and tell me you don’t like getting away with this” and it sounds like “isn’t this fun isn’t this worth Being Alive”
