For those not in the know, Critical Drinker has posted a review for Blue Eye Samurai, saying he likes it.

His Glass Onion review was done in bad faith.

I didn't like She-Hulk, but that's because that show was a byproduct of abused VFX animators, creatively bankrupt executives, and writers desperately trying to manage a convoluted shared universe that continues to buckle under its own weight. Political Stinker over here thinks that it's pandering, stupid, feminist garbage. He is one of the biggest Anti-Feminist voices in Youtube.

Him and his incel brigade have an obsession over hating Captain Marvel and Brie Larson. These basement dwelling cucks rant and rave over a mediocre duology and an actress that just lives in their tiny heads rent-free.

He says that they are removing men from leading roles and roles of great importance!

So why would I want to listen to an inebriated libertarian's opinions on a show that has become the show for lesbians, trans mascs, and other lovely brands of gay and feminism that he oh so despises? He'll most likely praise the action and violence and shit like that, then probably say that Mizu and Taigen's homoerotic rivalry isn't gay actually. P.G's Goods

Each P.G closely reflects their counterparts.(With the exception of the Phantom Riders from TP) Their stature, and endowments match but their temperaments are more mellow. Oot Phantom Ganondorf is the most diverging from the original personality of Ganondorf. From the implication of him being some sort of spirit or demon molded by Ganondorf into his own likeness before being discarded upon his failure.

The other Phantoms are probably made in similar ways or more akin to dark Link. Where they are an aspect of his personality/will reflected. Otherwise they are beings of pure magic. A mixture of magic and Gloom in the case of ToTK P.G.

It seems like an unnecessary task to craft genitalia for something intended kill or distract the hero of that age but I don't care they have junk in this blog.

WW P.G is more of a vague representation than an proper replica of Ganondorf. One of the spectral P.Gs and looks malleable so he might be adjustable.

Oot is most likely the only P.G to produce semen as he seems to have an actual physical body instead of one spectral/solid magic. So expect most of them to be dry orgasms.

Oot is probably the only one with a warm body.

ToTK P.G if they produce ejaculate is probably made of Gloom so not the best for long term health. Ignoring them being made of Gloom in the first place.

Some are mute. Others more vocal than their Ganon(dorf) counterparts. Some instances might be talkative during and after.

I been thinking about the Phantom Riders and ToTK P.Gs which can appear in numbers. A little idea of Ganondorf summoning them to tend to you while he watches. ToTK being more likely.

Depending on which P.G you're talking about they likely share kinks or are more distinctly different.

P.Gs that are direct phantoms of their Ganon seem to recognize you upon seeing you. Whether they have the memories of Ganon or they were told about you they know you.

-Used to only experiencing battle they are eager to engage in an much more pleasant fight of dominance. They have to learn your body but they are quick to learn. Ganon may have to dissuade you from getting near them when he needs them to actually work.

OoT P.G needs to be introduced. Possibly originally summoned/created to guard you when Ganon is deep in royal schemes or during the seven years after he acquired the triforce. He may originally disliked his new forced rule but grow to be affectionate with you.

-He initiates on his own merit not due to residual feelings from Ganon but his own. He uses his hands most of the time not wanting to risk anything. Saying he only wished to please you would be more difficult otherwise. Though the truth is that he's greedy for you. He's jumping your bones as soon as he gets the permission.

Whether or not ToTK Ganon knows of it maybe even encourages it. The gloom hands and the attached Phantoms have gotten a liking to you. Hands holding you in places as they shed your clothes and touch your flesh. Only when they had their fill or grow too impatient do they retreat to let the phantom have it's way.

WW P.G tending to your needs while Ganondorf searches for the princess. His being sending shivers up your spine at the slightest touch. His features barely there and constantly shifting. Not that you care as his hands work their growing expertise.

WW P.G being the only phantom able to interact with a separate instance of Ganondorf than his own. Hidden away, at least you two thought you were, as P.G pleasures you. Maybe you were too noisy as HW Ganondorf stumbles upon your union.

In a funnier turn of events after getting that Mikoto post out I am feeling more comfortable discussing his character. It was really bugging me that I was perceiving the fandom as an unsafe space to discuss plurality on a two alter system basis. It never seemed appropriate to gush about it given the things I'd been shown being said.

Yet, I was really happy with Double and the Neoplasm voice drama. Because it showed how diverse dissociative identity disorder can be with just two alters. Instead of just doing the same old hi I'm the totally good one and I'd never hurt a fly and I'm sin incarnate sometimes I just do bad shit for the lols you know.

The thing that most media does when discussing that presentation. I don't know how to really tackle my own feelings on it. It's like most my life I grew up seeing it represented as oh no, the evil one is out. As though the person had been possessed almost. So, it was very refreshing to see it be like, "Oh well, they're both just people. No one is as simple as just good or bad. They both have a variety of behavior."

It's something that should by now rightfully be expected when it comes to that sort of representation of it. Yet when it comes to two people always focus on the duality. The light and the dark the good and the evil. They try to separate all nice in neat like that without really focusing on the individuals. So, I was ultimately really pleased by Milgram. Though it could be because I'm more on the older side or just I gave up on looking for good representation and started avoiding anything thar covered it in middle school.

Honestly, I still avoid things that deal with it outside of Milgram. Simply out of habit of thinking, man, is it gonna be this shit again? How do I know it's not that shit again? As though Mikoto is their asking why is your song like this you should be praising me. You should be grateful so why?

This line is super great because it's like John and Mikoto both claiming onus of their own songs. And John answering Mikoto's question about why his song is like this. Basically going it couldn't be helped I'm Double. Basically saying it was bound to turn out like this because I'm like this.

To me, this came off as John going. If only I had never been born at all, then neither of us would have existed, and this wouldn't have happened. Expanding on the idea that Es and Kotoko both bring up that his existence is the problem. Which most wouldn't immediately go they mean because of my disorder but go yeah fuck it you're right if I never even lived to begin with this wouldn't have happened. I wouldn't even be here for this to happen and then the apology after these lines as if apologizing for having been born at its sooo good.

I've been fat my whole life. Ever since I was a kid. And ever since I was a kid I've been mocked, bullied, ridiculed, insulted and even physically assaulted for being fat. To the point I ended up with an eating disorder and lost a lost of weight. Way too fast. In a way that wasn't healthy at all. But I still wasn't happy. Because I couldn't recognize myself anymore. And I felt like i was just doing this for other people. But it's just so hard for me to accept my body. It just feels like I'll never be happy with it no matter what

I'm so sorry we haven't answered this. I know that this is a triggering ask so I'm gonna add all the tags i possibly can followers.

I'm actually a lot like you Nonny. I was a chubby kid, then got my period at 10 because I was so fat. I had an eating disorder by 14 and while it didn't last long (the bulimia at least) I kinda got comfortable in my skin even though I slowly crawled back up to my previous weight I got diagnosed with depression and anxiety. So the meds they put me on made me gain weight (50 pounds in 6 months). There after I did yoyo dieting and exercising flirted with bulimia again but it didn't work this time.

I'm not telling you this to trauma dump. I want you to consider my age and experience. I'm in my early forties. And its like... part of the reason I wasn't happy with my body was because I grew up with magazines and tv and movies constantly showing me thin ppl.

i don't think I stopped yoyo dieting until the cycle of yoyp dieting made me hit 250 lbs (I'm only 5'2) by then i was like 28/30ish. And like I think what changed was that I was watching media with like Donna from Parks and Rec, Shirley Bennet from Community. And they were never made to feel ugly for being fat. It was eye opening. (spoiler alert even though I'm not black Ugly betty was like more of the same thin ppl are the only that matter).

I don't think I really got comfortable in my skin until I joined pinterest about 7 or 8 years ago and got fed a steady stream of fat people in cute outfits.

Its still hard to find fat representation though. And I started looking into romance novels with chubby and fat protagonists about 5 years ago. Most notably the Brown sisters trilogy. They're all overweight and they all have these handsome men falling head over heels with them.

But like its one thing to admire people on pinterest with cute outfits. its a complete other thing to actually shop for yourself and give yourself permission to buy cute clothes.

One strange thing that happened about 3 years ago was that I gained like 40 pounds and all of my boring clothes didn't fit me anymore.

So this time shopped on lane bryant for cute dresses and jeans. and torrid, and hot topic. I started playing with makeup. (before I had like a uniform of jeans).

I'm not gonna lie people will *always* praise you for losing weight even if its because you're literally sick with an eating disorder or having health problems. (a friend of mine who did belly dancing lost like 30 pounds like really fast because all of the sudden she couldn't process meat anymore everyone fawned over her weight loss). she was literally starving and people wouldn't stop cooing over her skinniness.

I don't know what to think about society at large and their obsession with thinness. I've tried telling my family that I no longer want to keep clothes from when I was 250ish and they're all like "oh don't worry you'll lose the weight!!!"

I'm like bitch please. But its exhausting having people encourage you to lose weight. If you want you can message us off anon!!!

@bread-into-toast — Deepening Dread

The origin of Duskmourn and the House is certainly an interesting topic to tackle. Putting lands into play as a rather literal representation of its area is expanding is a good call, and I'm also intrigued by how you went about doing it. We saw another effect like this in the form of Paranormal Investigator, though this definitely goes in a different direction. I always love cards that change up how you have to approach a mechanic, and actually being able to do the mechanic on its own represents a fair jump in power. All in all, this is a card I could've seen fitting into the set proper without so much as a complaint, which is high praise.

@corporalotherbear — Starbirth

Somehow the second card representing the birth of a star this week, which is a funny sort of coincidence. Not to disparage this at all, it's fantastic. It definitely lives up to the destructive force of its namesake with the right three draws, and being able to split the damage as you please makes this versatile to ease the pain of relying more than a little on random chance. Still, hitting a land—or even worse—three of them seems like it would be devastating. I wonder if it couldn't use some sort of baseline value that you could fall back on. I'm also a bit perplexed by the reveal of the draws being optional. I suppose it could come up if you draw something low cost that you'd rather your opponent didn't know you had, or just don't want to admit that you whiffed, but more often than not the choice feels a bit superfluous. Still, there's a lot to like here.

@real-aspen-hours — Memorialize

I'm always a fan of reanimation that goes about it in a more unusual way. Why just slap the creature back on the field with no permutations when you can get weird with it? And replacing a fallen creature with a memorial in its image certainly fits the bill. That said, while there's certainly some effects that would rather be attached to a noncreature, losing the body is pretty often a straight-up downside. As such, I don't think there's any reason to cost this the same as unconditional reanimation, especially at rare. You could definitely afford to bring this down to three, or possibly even two white if you want to really push it. Also, I presume that the flavor text was meant to be in quotes and/or with a source, because as is it doesn't quite feel right. The implications do interest me though. Most Therosians seem to have been more than fine with being rid of Heliod—jerk that he is—but the idea of pockets of faith persisting could be interesting, assuming I'm interpreting it correctly. Heck, maybe it actually makes them more devoted, now that the imperfect god isn't around to ruin the perfect ideal.

I'm more than happy to talk about Jing Yuan and Argenti with you! I actually like Jing Yuan a lot too. Back when HSR first released, the only thing that piqued my interest about it was Jing Yuan. I resisted playing since he alone was not enough to get me into turn-based combat, but with the release of Argenti and Aventurine, I eventually caved. There aren't many characters in HSR that appeal to me, but Jing Yuan, Argenti, Aventurine, and Jiaoqiu keep my interest.

Argenti most certainly is a gentleman, and that's what's so appealing about him aside from his looks. The fact he's a noble knight that diligently serves Idrila is tragically romantic. What really gets me is that all his flowery praises and flamboyant gestures are genuine. He means what he says, and what he says is so, so beautiful. He could genuinely love any type of person because he is that kind and open-minded. His looks remind me of a character from a 70s or 80s shoujo manga haha. I will be pulling for him and his lightcone when his banner reruns, so wish me luck!

As for Jing Yuan, I feel you!!!! His intelligence is so attractive, my god. It's like he's always thinking several steps ahead of his opponents, and has the confidence to face anything head-on, no matter how dangerous. He never panics but rather handles everything in a smart and laidback way. There certainly is something very reassuring about him. He's the kind of man that will treat you well and that you can rely on, which makes him perfect husband material. I approve, you have good taste, anon.

I loved Good Omens, but how people see it as amazing queer representation is so frustrating. I see why people like the codinf and could see themself in the text, but the fact they treat it like the end all be all of representation and put it on the same level as explicit rep is frustrating. It's frustrating because Neil gets to have his cake and eat it, too. He got something half his audience will never realize is queer (i know this because half the people i watched it with didnt realize), but he gets the praise for being a queer icon and great representation or whatever. I'm fine if he didn't want to make it explicitly queer, especially because it's a big change that and he didn't want to change too much from the source material since his co-author passed. But he did make changes and added the queer subtext that was less present in the book. And in the show, there's this je ne sais quoi to it that is missing, something in the vibes that is just missing. Something a queer author would've been able to get. The closest I can get to describing it is like by the end, here's still a gap of unresolved feelings between the lines. Or like, touch isn't that big of a deal between them. I feel like if their were worse actors in it, or actors less on board with the queer subtext, the show would just be baiting. That's how thin the line is for me with Good Omens. Also, I hate to say it, but it was clearly not written with ace people in mind. Neil just heard ace people feeling represented and nodded along in agreement. If you seee the phrase "their love is above physical intimacy" it's not ace positivity, it's someone being sleeved out by gay sex. The angels are mentioned being sexless in the book, amd fans put more thought into the angels gender or lackthereof than the show does, except for the one non-binary actor that plays Poison and i think ine of the angels. The leads are essentially written as and meant to be seen as cis male by audience members, not nonbinary characters that pass as cis male. And I'm sorry, but Crowley in a dress was a man-in-dress joke, and Neil just nodded when people praised it. There is better ace rep out there, stories with better queer subtext, and better stories with better representation. Can people please stop praising protecting the straight man with a good show with mediocre rep from the mean queers. Why is there this narrative that we have to love all media remotely queer and see it as good rep inherently and that it will "divide the community" and "helping the enemy" if we don't?

ok so my memory of gomens is VERY hazy but i think the je ne sais quoi that you’re saying is missing is how the show essentially builds an entire story arc with crowley and and aziraphale’s relationship, with an inciting incident and a rising action and then… it skips the climax and goes straight to the resolution.

like, they build up this relationship in the show so much more than they do in the books. and because of the nature of “opposite sides of a war” thing, there’s a lot of tension that comes with that. they care about each other but their friendship is forbidden and they’re conflicted about it so they hide their feelings and they reject each other despite how they constantly hang out with each other and when one of them is in danger they go crazy. and a story arc like that needs a Big Conversation, an “all cards on the table emotional vulnerability hashing it out” kinda scene. it needs a confession, basically.

and the thing is that this confession doesn’t have to be explicitly romantic for it to work in the show. it can literally sum up to “you’re my best friend and i would do anything for you, i don’t care what the rest of the world says” and that would be a good climax for that story arc. but it needs to be a lot more dramatic than the few short scenes that we did get in the show where they actually talked about their feelings for each other.

anyway i’m with you for all the criticisms you have of this show and the fandom and also neil himself. good omens is a very good show that gets a lot of undue praise from queer fans who can’t separate their personal connection with the characters and the story from being able to actually identify groundbreaking queer representation. like you can just enjoy the show, not every story with queer rep has to be a Diversity Win

Summary: Origin of my one-shot "Firefly". Miguel O'Hara never wanted to become spider-man, on the other side there is Sara, who is the descendant of this one but who did not obtain any power. Together they will try to save Nueva York and try to save themselves… After all “with great power comes great responsibility.”

Another rainy day... And to think it's supposed to be summer... Or maybe that's just a sign that school has started again ?

Miguel sighed as he tried to get out of the parking lot, filled with equally rushed students, to go home.

Among all the groups of students, there was one car that caught his eyes. Yellow with representations of flames on the doors, the music at full blast… The person who was driving seemed annoyed and was more focused on his phone than on the road.

His gaze was completely elsewhere…

Another detail caught Miguel's attention. A hood with cat ears.

A young girl was running, she was wearing a purple vest and holding her hood with one hand and with the other, she was trying to protect her backpack and the belongings it contained.

But she was frozen.

Er... not really. At some point, maybe. But the author and cast have made some really icky statements that have dampened my enthusiasm--actually, that have outright been triggers. This isn’t to cancel them or to cancel the story either, please don't misunderstand me, but instead to say that they touched on very specific triggers that alarm me, and hence I prefer to focus on other media for the time being even though the story itself is probably lovely.

I also wholly support anyone enjoying the story! Really not intending to cancel or imply a morality game besides saying that I found the author/cast's statements morally troubling, but I can say that about a lot of stories I enjoy to an even greater extent, so there is no high ground here. It's just me being sour because it hit a trigger in my life and the marketing dug into said trigger, which kind of turned me off to the story.

The author of Heartstopper, Alice Oseman, made a frankly racist comment about how her story was superior to "boy's love" from Asia which she said was primarily written by cishet women who "fetishize" MLM. Except... she's clearly drawing on yaoi influences, and she's a white woman in Britain, where she's a lot freer to be open about her sexuality than people who are, y'know, actually getting thrown in prison for writing about it like Chinese danmei authors. To be clear, I don't actually think Oseman is being malicious--I know nothing about her--but instead ignorant (I once shared that ignorance, tbh), and I hope she reconsiders that it's maybe a biiiiit easier to work out your own sexuality when you live a privileged life in her society. Whether or not an author is part of the community or not isn't easy to say, because there are also cultural issues that discourage exploration and where coming out is pretty much impossible. And frankly, it's also no one's damn business.

The second thing she said that really irked me, and the thing that triggered me, was that she implied it would be wrong to show teenagers having sex. I'm sorry, but a lot, maybe even most, teenagers do have sex or are at least curious. But, it's very normal not to--actually, I think it's good that there is representation of teenagers not having sex as well, not just for more ace rep, but also because teenagers aren't always ready despite the fact that media insists they should be. So the fact that Heartstopper doesn't have sex is not the problem.

The problem is that the idea that praising HS specifically for not having sex in it ignores that there is a a whole long, long, long history of this rhetoric being used in LGBT+ spaces to justify hate. "You can exist, as long as you don't actually do it" etc.

It also comes uncomfortably close to mimicking the purity culture rhetoric of evangelical true love waits rings and purity balls. It treats sexuality of any sort as something to be shoved in a closet. Not only that, but did you know? Did you know that there's a whole movement in Christian circles called "Side B" sexuality where gay and lesbian people acknowledge they can't change their sexuality but believe it's not a sin unless they engage in the act of sex? The idea that depicting the act of sex is inherently fetishizing, or that it inherently dirties a story or makes it less valuable, sends off major alarm bells in my mind, because I grew up in this culture.

Of course, it's good to have fluffy, sweet stories without sex. Plus, there should be more ace rep. Some prefer sexless innocent stories and that is fine! I like them too sometimes! People have different needs! But the fact that this is distinctly held up as a virtue and that some creators imply depicting sex is inherently degrading or fetishizing or whatever is A Major Yikes, mimics conservative religious rhetoric, and oversimplifies the concept of sexuality that leads to at best concerning and at worst dangerous results. Ask me how I know (actually don't, but just saying I have some very real history here and Stories).

But I don't feel that it is negativity. What Mobius does is objectively evil. If I said that Alexander Pierce tortured and mistreated Bucky would you insist that I tag it as "anti Pierce" or "Pierce negativity"? No of course not. Because I'm just objectively discussing what the character does.

Loki and Mobius have the same relationship as Bucky and Pierce but a lot of the PR and framing encourages viewers to ignore that and to accept Loki's torture as justified and acceptable. It's not. Torture is a vile act that is NEVER justified. Just because the writer of the show is a creepy right winger who thinks otherwise and is encouraging viewers to parrot his vile views doesn't change the facts.

What Mobius does to Loki literally meets the legal definition of torture on multiple counts. Mobius holds Loki prisoner without due process or just cause. He degrades and humiliates and mocks him and obviously delights in this and revels in the power he has over Loki. He calls him a cockroach and pathetic. He acts morally superior to Loki despite the fact that he regularly and remorselessly obliterates entire realities because he believes the people in them are a class of person who don't deserve to exist - i.e. he commits genocide on an inconceivably massive scale. He forcibly detains Loki and makes him labor for him without pay; that's slavery.

When Loki understandably tries to escape his captor he recaptures him and punishes him by locking him in a cell where he beaten in the genital area (a common form of torture used in Russia and China and other authoritarian dictatorships even today) until he is willing to repeat degrading things about himself to try to get the pain to stop.

These are all facts. I didn't make those things up about Mobius. They happened. In canon. I think Mobius could have been a great villain. He's the literal embodiment of the concept of "the banality of evil" and a lot of real life atrocities are committed by people like him. The problem is that many people are presenting his acts as acceptable rather than villainous.

But he's not a good person. And he's not Loki's friend. The fact that people repeat the disgusting messaging in the show that someone who does things (and to the MCU's first canon queer character too btw! This show is no more good representation than Nazi cartoons that showed violence against queer people as funny and justified were) is in any way justified is deeply disturbing to me. People calling Mobius's acts of torture funny or justified or cute literally turns my stomach. But I’m not asking you to confine your posts praising Mobius to a “pro torture” tag or “pro abuse” tag. 

The Mobius tag is for discussing the character, not for interpreting him in the way that you personally decide is correct. I am discussing the things Mobius does in canon. And I find them appalling.

10 Anti LO Asks

1. The more i think about it, the more parallels i find between lore olympus and another less-known webtoon called "the shadow prophet". No, i don't imply they are in any way similar genre- or plot-wise or that one copies the other but hear me out: the themes

Shadow prophet, like LO, deals with age gap (and does not romanticise it at all), nepotism, utopian society with dubious morals and leaders, privileges and how bad their impact on all of the involved can get if something goes wrong and paints them in a way that they are constant obstacles for everyone involved instead of, yknow, making life easier for every character RS prefers thus diminishing any possible deeper conflict that'd make some actual plot or character progression. Even tho it is a made up futuristic scenery, it blends well with sentimental traditions shown though clothing and rituals and such, so there is a good lore explanation for the mixing of the old and new (where LO is all over the place so it ends up in cherrypicking whichever gets the stans to squeal more).

No, i will not elaborate on the plot bc everything is a spoiler. First season is only 40 episodes yet tells miles and miles more than LO's entire run so far

It also has neurodivergent and disability representation done well, at least in my opinion

It has gorgeous art too (i'm actually gonna go and say it's the most unique and beutiful artstyle i've seen on webtoons). It also utilises music made specificaly for the episode (just like for purple hyacinthus) and even gifs so it is quite a unique experience

(This is, again, by no means a comparison of these titles, as they are completely different from each other, but it is staggering how some themes are way too similar, but painted differently and send different messages. 2. I feel like LO has a bit of HP energy to it, and by that I mean people in power praise it as some groundbreaking work, when really you pick it apart and see its a mean spirited, uninspired story that happily conforms to every regressive status quo bias (gender roles, classism, racism, misogyny, etc) under a cheap veneer of liberal "feminism", and that is why it's marketed as something It's not. It can pretend it's progressive under a female MC + creator while it challenges absolutely nothing.

3. Persephone's AOW wasn't just poorly planned/executed, it's also that RS is too scared to let her darling be "problematic", leading to what seems to have been at least three retcons to it because of a small but loud section of fans being disappointed. A confident writer not only would had seek out help from their editor to plan this out, but they also wouldn't buckle under minor bad faith criticism to flip flop so easily on their own story. It makes it clear she's just making it up as she goes.

4. What’s wild to me is RS created fantasy racism in this story yet seems to have zero awareness that she’s framed the race who is discriminated against (the nymphs specifically) as the bad guys who “deserve” their mistreatment because they’re bad no matter what and they’re in the wrong for daring to stand up to their oppressors. We don’t see any male nymphs or this discrimination play out against satyrs either, so it’s hatred that’s both racist AND misogynistic. Like what the fuck?

5. The retcon of the AOW is also Rachel admitting she doesn't want Persephone (a literal Greek goddess and Dread Queen) cannot be anything but an already perfect, heroic person, which not only makes her an uninteresting character, it makes an uninteresting story. What is there for her to learn from? To grow? To overcome? She's by design supposed to only be static, which is a huge problem considering she's supposed to be the lead character and is supposed to be "growing up".

6. I'm kinda confused by the trial because the punishment is kinda how the myth's ending would go with the half year separation (except now it's a set amount of years that zeus will eventual forgive), but it's not that's not the myth because apparently now the myth is supposed to start (four years in? thats not good writing) so how would the half year punishment even happen then? persephone kills more people with winter and they go on trial AGAIN? like none of this seems planned out at all.

7. this isn't even just about RS but I just hate how many of the WT creators are white women who pretend to care about diversity and yet when they show their cast of some new comic theyre making or some OC they thought up it's just the same brand of skinny white people (bonus if the antagonist is the only one who just happens to be darker skinned). like put your money where your mouth is and give us an ounce of body fat and melanin, i'm begging 😭

8. Just wait till Rachel Smythe and other creator’s of this retelling, realize that the Abduction of Persephone mainly focuses on Persephone and Demeter, not Persephone and Hades. Idk why, but I find that a bit contradicting to Rachel’s “basic knowledge of Greek mythology” statement 😭🤷‍♀️

You’re basically developing an unimportant character in the myth when you should be developing Demeter and Persephone, plus their relationship. Hades is there just to set the plan forward; he has no other need in that myth but to explain the seasons and keep Persephone as his queen. 

9. Yeah actually I don't think we talk enough about how Hera had her own son see photos of a woman in the most terrifying position of her life. I know it was to like, get rid of them but Persephone didn't know who Hephestus was and she still doesn't know how Hera handled it afaik, which again, takes away a lot of her agency because she's only gotten to tell 1 person on her own volition about what happened, everyone else either assumes, finds out through prodding even when she's uncomfortable, or uses their powers. It's just weird that it's very brushed over that Hephestus has seen what Apollo did with his own eyes  because he'd have to see them to get rid of them. 

10. there's some LO fans who are just desperate to make it deeper than it is and how it "deals with serious topics" which like one) no it doesnt but two) you guys can enjoy a shallow romance comic, no one cares. a lot of us like shallow stuff for mindless entertainment. trying to make it deeper than it is only opens it up to bigger scrutiny when it doesnt meet even the bare minimum, and only puts more pressure on RS to work outside her comfort zone to where we end up w/ this degraded mess it is now.
