ok i hesitated on writing about this for a while because i knew people would be mad but someone needs to say something. @/eighthgod/light is one of the most toxic people in the entire fandom. yes this is a callout post in 2023 but it needs to be done. problems with eighthgod: - he is an akage. no, not just a solo stan, he REGULARLY posts about how he thinks other members are untalented or ugly and how they should be kicked out of the group and he even celebrated when A had to go on mental health leave in 2021 because ‘they could have more time to focus on beyond.’ YES beyond gets sidelined sure but thats still no excuse to be negative about other members - tags hate - posted ‘kys’ when people tried to explain CALMLY to him about how his behaviour was causing hurt - toxic judgement about beyond and misa dating, idols are allowed to have private lives, they give so much to us and its not our place to say what they do in their personal life - accused of running a group order and switching the photocards so he could get the beyond photocards. this was not proven but there’s a lot of evidence - has had a harassment campaign against @/rainfalls50 for more than a year. you can look through his twitter or tumblr and see this, he posts negative things about him and reblogs his posts to add hate hate and makes up lies about him. rainfalls has a lot of hate anons and hate comments on ao3 because of this. its weird and could be a sign of a bigger problem. but he still uses his translations which is hypocritical  - a lot of people have shown evidence he’s lying about being a lawyer, this is not proven either but there are a lot of contradictions there’s a lot of other things too but these are just the major ones. i blocked him so he won’t see this PLEASE don’t screenshot. do not harass him. just block and ignore. i know people are going to be angry because ‘he’s joking’ or ‘he’s mentally ill’ but its not a joke if it’s causing stress and harm and mentally ill people are still responsible for their actions. i won’t tell people what they should do but he has shown AGAIN AND AGAIN he does not care about the effects of his actions. just because he’s a big account and posts good analysis doesn’t mean he’s a safe person to trust

ok I have a theory I would like to share and I hesitated a while because I will very kindly ask you all not to go harass this person on reddit (whoever she is) if you know what I am talking about. If she is a legit victim she deserves respect so please dont make it worse for her. If she is not, then don't give these girls the attention anymore please, they dont deserve it. Lets keep it on this blog between us please. That is why I dont want to share the link of that reddit post but I am sure most of you know what im talking about.

So here it goes, bare with me.

About mid-december a post was published on reddit about how a actor who was in a popular Netiflix show that was trending had cause a lot of trauma to the Original Poster (OP on reddit). That it also involved SA. Im sure you have all heard about it. The OP refused to say exactly what was done to her in terms of SA? if you are anonymous on reddit, why not share your story fully if you will go on and post about it?

Anyways, after the allegations came out, it was updated to say it was about Percy.

When this whole mess started on Jan18, some twitter accounts were making threads about all the awful stuff Percy has done, liked, shared etc. (all at once in the span of 2-3 hours btw for some reason, kind of convenient no?)

This particular reddit post was sent to one of these threads by a twitter account who said they were just scrolling through reddit and found the post. I wont share it because I dont want people to go harass this person whoever it is and give more attention as well, but I did find the twitter account who first shared the reddit post on twitter. Mind you this twitter account who first shared the reddit post was created in January 2023 and has not tweeted anything sinc except this. All this account does is like stuff. Kind of convenient again...

Aries and the girls then retweeted this reddit post as more "proof". Now I have been on reddit for a while and that would be a very hard post to find because there are no titles suggesting this would be about Percy. So I think this person knew where to look and what they were looking for.

Also the OP had not commented on her reddit post for a while, but went back to comment on the post about 6 days ago to say that there's more girls that have not said anything. Aries went public on twitter again about 6 days ago...you see where im going with this?

This reddit post was first posted around the same time (a couple days difference) when Aries started trashing Percy on twitter in December, saying how she wants him "gone from the world". She tried the "he threw wild parties, he is a rapist" bit in December as well during an interaction with a friend on twitter. I cant find said tweets anymore because her friend went private but it was this one: https://twitter.com/ellieandjoeI. It did not pick up in December. They tried again in January by commenting on a Wavier shipper account on twitter and then in exploded.

Also the latest comment on the reddit post that was made about 22 hours ago at this time (if you go find the reddit post and sort by new). You can read the full comment if you wish but this person is saying "This Reddit post was posted when Wednesday was gaining popularity and there were no names attached and it was just a general support post. This was not posted after the allegations came out....... This a safe space for people suffering from PTSD and don’t come onto my support post claiming I’m lying. "...there is not a single comment, i swear not a single one on this entire reddit post saying that she is lying. Everyone was supporting her there. She sounds erratic in her latest comment. People are saying these girls are lying on twitter mainly. So I dont know whey she is freaking out on reddit.

Imo this reddit OP is Aries. Or at least one of the girls who accused him on twitter or a friend or whoever I don't know. But I think this person knows Aries. And if that is true, I think this kind of proves this is all a scam because Aries acted like she had never seen this reddit post when she shared in on twitter.

This is just a theory and i cant confirm it it any way, and it can probably be disproven but the original posting just as Aries was starting to bash Percy, another comment just when Aries went back on public 6 days ago, and now this latest comment of the OP freaking out. I dunno...again, just a theory

But please dont go commenting on this reddit post if yall have reddit and find it, it will not do anyone any good and just gather more attention on the matter. So I beg you dont do it. Just give me your thoughts on my theory instead. Thanks! hope i made sense lol i dont know anymore

there are masculine enbies(i’m one😍). there are feminine enbies. there are enbies that are both or all or even none. some use he/him, some use she/they, some use neopronouns. the meaning of nonbinary is in the name - not fitting with what is the gender binary of male and female be it partially or completely. nb people may identify with binary aspects of gender but this does not invalidate their identity as nonbinary. this should be an obvious fact but you don’t have to look or act a certain way to be valid as nb. gender expression does not have to match with gender identity.

Just finished my very slow quarantine rewatch of K-On!. Wanted to write down some of my thoughts and feelings. Several paragraphs under the cut!

I’ll get this out of the way first; the recurring “joke” where Sawako tries to get the light music club to wear sexy outfits is uhhhh terrible, borderline sexual harassment. Luckily they mostly cut that out in the 2nd season, (which is great because otherwise her relationship with them is really nice) and other than that the show is perfect in pretty much every way.

Isn’t it weird how the first season takes place across two years, but the second season (which is twice as long) takes place across only one year? No idea how they pulled that off without it feeling strange, but they totally did.

I love this show so much. It’s great as a “cute girls doing cute things” type of anime, but its also substantially different that others of that type (that I’ve seen). It feels much more real. For one thing there obviously aren't any brightly-colored anime protagonist haircuts, so I guess it is more realistic from a character design standpoint.

But also just, everything... I think the school is based on a real school building, which makes it REALLY stand out from the very generic appearance of most anime schools. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole town is based on a real place actually (if so I bet that's great for the people who live there- remembering my experience watching Steven Universe for the first time and seeing a real place I know quite well translated into animation)

But yeah, there’s just so much detail put into all the backgrounds and character animations. It’s incredibly,,, believable, I guess. It’s pretty timeless too, there’s hardly anything anchoring it a specific time period, so it can be relatable for all time (although, it is kinda funny on the rare occasion things do pop up, like when they literally use tapes to record music...)

And I was thinking about this recently, I think the opening and ending themes are somewhat unique as well. How many other animes have OPs and EDs that are rock songs actually performed by the characters? I mean, it’s catchy pop-rock, so I guess that’s probably not so uncommon (also I know nothing about music genres so this might just be entirely wrong). But I can’t think of many other examples of the characters literally performing the music. And the ending themes are like fully produced music videos! its great. Unfortunately its not diegetic; I don't think any of those songs actually exist in the lore. (and I haven't even mentioned the BGM scores... which are all perfect).

The third OP and ED are my favorite of each, btw (at least thats how I feel atm. I admit it could be because I like just finished watching the show so those are the ones I heard most recently). I love how the third opening is upbeat and energetic like the rest, but in the last 15 seconds it shifts into something slightly more melancholy. Reminding you that K-On! is approaching its end, but you should still feel happy and grateful for the time you spent with it. A nostalgic feeling.

I feel like nostalgia is an important part of the whole show’s tone, actually. (Though again I could be biased on this, I may very well just be nostalgic for when I first watched it (which was while I was in high school)). 

So much time is spent in the episodes approaching the ending focused on what’s going to come next for the Light Music Club; both the characters, who have to figure out where to go to college, and what they want to study, and the club itself, which will (hopefully) live on without them. (Azusa and Sawako-sensei will make sure of that). I can’t help but feel like that’s the point. HTT goofing off in the music room after school was never something that could’ve lasted forever, but for the time it did, it was incredibly impactful. Both the big stuff (live on-stage performances, trip abroad to England, etc.) and the little stuff (tea and cake every day, animal costumes for no reason, etc).

What K-On! is most of all is “comfortable.” That’s what lead me to turn it on again at the beginning of the pandemic, I just wanted something light and cute and comfy. It’s definetly “real” but it’s also “nostolgic.” It’s like what you remember good times feeling like. And since it’s immortalized in animation, it’ll always be that good.

Bonus thoughts:

... ... ...Hey, what happens to Ton-chan after the end of the show??? Hm. I think my headcanon is that he stays in the club room for a year, but then Azusa can’t bear to part with him when she graduates, so she takes him home.

Also its sad to think about, but HTT probably wont keep in touch with Sawako in the long run. I mean, I had some very formative teachers who I liked a lot, but I don’t ever talk to them. or event think about them most of the time. She’ll be fine though, she’ll have the future of the club to worry about. New students constantly cycling in and out with the years. Hopefully.

Mugi is definetly a lesbian, and I greatly appreciate that. (the others are less cut and dry but I’m gonna throw out some guesses. Ritsu is bi preferring men. Mio is ace. Azusa’s also a lesbian. Sawako is bi but she needs to keep a lid on it around high schoolers, as I already mentioned. Yui, I have absolutely no fucking clue)

These girls spend a lot of time at McDonalds.

(I haven’t actually rewatched the movie yet. I plan to do that within the next few days, then after that I may or may not come back to this post and add something, if I have anything new to add! edit: seen the movie, it’s great, better than I remembered actually. but other than that I don’t have much to say. Please go watch k-on if you haven’t already!)

Headcanons n’ Ships. Bullies? OH MY!

Heya gang, how ya doing today! I feel like I should discuss about a situation that happened to me on Twitter early this week. I hope you’ve got plenty of free time to read because this is a long one.. So, I was on Twitter looking at some delicious G’raha Tia content until I came across a tweet that caught my eye. Someone made a statement saying that people need to ‘tone down’ the G’raha x WoL stuff because it’s giving them brain damage (in other words, your headcanon ISN’T CANON so you need to stop). Originally I was going to ignore it because it’s their opinion, and it doesn’t matter, but for some odd reason, I had to respond because of the fact who are they to tell people how to handle their stuff; so guess what, I responded.. I told them that XIV was meant for open interpretation so people have the freedom to ship G’raha with the WoL if they want to and if it bothers them that much, they can just ignore it. They then replied saying the issue is that some people tend to get pushy with their headcanons/ships and would attack those who don’t agree with them. I replied saying that’s an easy solution: you tell them to back off, block them, then move on; all in all, it’s just headcanon, just let people have their fun. Someone else came onto the thread basically saying the same thing about what the OP just said, and I repeated my response. They then got snarky and said, “You’re too dense to get the point, show yourself the door”. Yeah, I got mad because I don’t accept that kind of talk, so we ended up blocking each other. It did sort of got out of hand because I was being petty at one point and left a petty tweet and a couple of people responded LOL (which btw I deleted the tweet afterwards because that was stupid on my part for posting a tweet while angry). Next thing I know, the OP’s friend came to me saying that I was wrong for telling people to chill regarding to the headcanons/ships and how my comment invalidates the fact that people are getting harassed/bullied for this topic on both sides. They also mentioned, “herd mentality” where one person sends their followers after someone that doesn’t agree with them. I will tell you right now that I ain’t no punk; if someone doesn’t agree to the content that I make, that’s totally fine just if they be RESPECTFUL about it; if they don’t, that’s for ME to take care of, not my followers which I don’t have that many XD I was at my peak and I told her that the issue that they keep repeating to me isn’t new; that stuff happens in ANY fandom and people outta learn to tolerate the nonsense. Someone replied to me saying, “some can’t and never will be assertive (confident) and it’s annoying when someone behaves that way.” I just gave up and left the whole conversation while blocking folks in the process because apparently, we weren’t getting on the same boat.

As of today, I still believe that I didn’t say or do anything wrong; I didn’t call anybody names, I didn’t cuss them out, NOTHING. I just voiced my opinion and for some odd reason, people took offense on what I said which that doesn’t make sense to me. If there’s something you don’t like, yes you can express your opinion about it, BUT be aware that someone isn’t going to agree with you. When it comes to XIV characters and how they feel towards the WoL, like someone had mentioned from a post that I read a long time ago, “no one isn’t wrong” which they’re right. How can I put this..the XIV writers do their very best not to write the NPCs feelings in stone because they know how we feel about these characters. What they do is they write ambiguous dialogues for us to interpretate their feelings however we like because after all, WE are the main hero, this is OUR story. So, whatever your headcanon is for that character, it is indeed canon, FOR YOUR STORY. If someone else has a different interpretation, you shouldn’t be bothered on what they say because it doesn’t affect your character’s story or game at all. HOWEVER, openly telling folks to tone down or stop with their headcanons because it doesn’t synchronize with yours is kinda silly because because 1) You don’t have to look at it 2) It ain’t gonna stop others from doing what they love and 3) this is all for pure entertainment sooo why make a fuss about it. If someone else is getting harassed/bullied for that kind of thing, the only things you can do is either, back them up or let them handle it. If YOU are getting harassed/bullied for that nonsense, you got the keyboard and the hands, you can tell those lunatics to back off. If they refuse to and they send their so-called ‘army’, you block or report them; plain and simple. If you can’t do that, then I don’t know what else to say.

I have dealt with that craziness before except I was the victim; people were messing with me and my art because they didn’t like my Canon x OC content (for a different fandom). I’ve seen how Emet Selch fans get bullied by folks who don’t like the character and/or hate hcs in general which that’s dumb. People shouldn’t be harassing folks for this kind of thing period because it’s pointless, but unfortunately, it’s never gonna stop no matter how much we want it to. So overall gang, do what you want with your headcanons and forget what others have to say just BE RESPECTFUL to one another PLEASE. Thank you for taking your time to read my ramblings :D

First of all: Where? Show me where. Which TT panels are you talking about? And I have talked about my issues with Taylor's portrayal of DickBabs before (here, here, and here). So again: show me where and what you're talking about.

Two: Oh would you like to have this conversation? I'm happy to have this conversation. I've had it before and I will have it again. Please….elaborate on what liking Dick/Babs has to do with disliking Jason/Babs and why it's ironic. I'll even pre-emptively get a few issues out of the way for you since I know where you're probably going to go with this:

pre-reboot Dick and Babs were given equal weight and consideration in the development of their relationship. It was a relationship that developed slowly over multiple years across several books, principally in both Dick's Nightwing solo and Barbara's Birds of Prey title; why they liked each other and what both characters brought to and got out of the relationship was effectively showcased.

Babs being de-aged from the pre-Crisis universe to the post-Crisis universe had nothing to do with her romantic prospects (much less any potential relationship she might have with Dick) because it happened while Dick was literally still in a relationship with Kory and a full decade before Babs and Dick were even teased as a couple. Dick had three love interests in between dating Kory and dating Babs; Barbara had two major relationships in the post-Crisis universe before dating Dick.

Both characters were grown adults who had previous serious romantic histories, lived independently, had jobs, led teams, and transitioned into new hero identities when they got together.

Dick/Babs is a relationship that has a history going back to the Silver Age even if it's effectively a creation of Batman: The Animated Series and the post-Crisis universe (which makes Bruce Timm's obsession with Bruce/Babs even weirder, by the way)

Dick and Babs in the post-reboot era have some of the same issues that every relationship Babs has been in or teased with post-2011 because DC does not actually respect Barbara Gordon as a character independent of her potential romantic relationships. Which I noted in the original post. That does not mean the Dick/Babs relationship is bad; it means DC is treating Babs shittily. Which is, again, a big part of the problem with Jason/Babs.

Four: I was specifically asked for my opinion. I gave my opinion. I hate Jason/Babs being considered as anything that could potentially become canon. Hello, WH here. Long chain of posts ahead - sorry in advance! To clarify what's happened with "DDDogs" - "DDDogs" were originally coined by a user named KnockOffArtist on dA. I spoke with them sometime in April and we had come to an agreement they would stop making them after they raffled off the remaining designs, and they did. A few days ago a user I'll call "OP" said they were an open species and started advertising people to make their own on IG and I stepped in voicing my discomfort. 1/11

I recently messaged KOA again and they did confirm they never listed DDDogs as an open species but are not against them being such.OP said they weren't responsible bc a friend made them the DDDog design they drew/had posted and they didn't make the DDDog species, and continued to negate responsibility of his actions saying that DDDogs were a free alternative to CCCats because CCCats were too expensive and they couldn't get their own. 2/11

 It took time but through communication with OPs friends, OP was talked into removing the images. Their friend who I will call "Fre" for now was INCREDIBLY kind and understanding to me and my side of the issue, and we worked together to remake the species into something completely different and no longer called "DDDogs". 3/11

 "DDDogs" (or any variant like "DDDogs", "PPPussy", "KKKitty" - Please do NOT make 3-K-combo jokes btw it's super serious and I don't wish for such to be in association with CCCats) or anything sporting a similar knock-off name is usually not an official nor approved concept that is spitefully making fun of CCCats and is against my comforts. 4/11

 The original user was never the owner of the "DDDog" species but was a heavy advocate for them and still makes me wary, however their friends Fre and another I'll call Fri were apologetic and understanding despite OP's lack of care in their actions and wrongdoings. 5/11

I do NOT approve of anyone making DDDogs or making species in likeness to CCCats with the intent to be a "cheaper lookalike alternative" as I strongly feel the message of "Because you wouldnt give me this character you have I made my own with slight variations" is harmful to young and old artists alike who wish to share their work and ideas online. This message doesnt have to be strictly species-related, as CCCats are an OC of mine of sorts that I have chosen to share. 6/11To sum this up: OP did not make the species and did not own the species, talked a friend into making them a DDDog knockoff based from another knockoff CCCat species because they couldn't afford a CCCat. When users asked if DDDogs were official/could be made, OP said yes and that they were an open species despite the fact the person who originally coined the knockoff never listed them as such. 7/11

I voiced my discomfort, OP ignored it. Friends of OP saw my discomfort and apologized and aimed to work with me to make a species that was still had some key aspects they wanted but diverged enough from CCCats. OP took down posts after drama was becoming too much and friends worked with me to make reworks. 8/11

I have spent a long time answering concerns/questions, helping users come up with changes to species they fear being too close to CCCats and I am incredibly exhausted and emotionally hurt after the comments I saw about my species/art. I attempt to handle knockoff problems in private as often as I can because most of the time things can be settled easily, but this was a really big public affair that was v difficult to handle when OP had near 18k followers ready to defend them and make DDDogs 9/11Regardless of the events, I plan to continue to work on CCCats like normal as I do cherish them and the community that supports, loves, and participates in my silly headworld for these things.
