Fun fact: In China, Chinese criminals were marked on their faces for life. Hot knives cut the flesh of prisoners, engraving characters on their foreheads. Later the ink was inserted into the open wounds to form words like “murderer”, “thief” and etc.
That’s such a morbidly neat fact, and thank your for sharing it with me! It actually got me looking around online, where I found a few articles about it!
It certainly provides some “encouragement” for Y/N to play along with whatever the kings want, after they tried to steal from the royal kitchen- there’s always the threat of a permanent criminal marking on the table.
(They wouldn’t actually do that to a kiddo, but Y/N doesn’t know that.)
Or worse- Y/N has already been punished for their former acts of theft, without the jurisdiction of either king who would have absolutely vetoed the notion of essentially mutilating a hungry child for stealing scraps from a graveyard or windowsill.
MK learning from his loving baba that only “bad people” get these tattoos and growing very, very upset no matter how his fathers try to comfort or soothe him, and for all they remind him that it “only happens to bad people”, it just pushes him closer and closer to the brink because-
“Y/N is not bad,” the boy wails, tears gushing from his big black eyes, sopping uselessly away into his golden father’s robe, both monkeys gently trying to comfort him.
“Shush, shush, shhh… Xiaotian, baby, please! No one said anything about Y/N!” Macaque tries to soothe, bouncing his son lightly.
“You did,” he bawls, kicking his little feet like any other toddler throwing a tantrum. “You did! Y-you said “bad people” have those tattoos! And- and- and Y/N is not bad!”
“Y/N has… someone gave them a penal tattoo?” Sun Wukong queries, unknowingly tightening his grip on the gilded handles of his throne. “…someone gave a starving orphan the mark of a dangerous criminal?”
“…I think we need to take a trip down to the village.”

Unloved Beloved
One person already shared their idea for @itsabouttimex2’s platonic yan AU, “Not The Beloved” (go check it out if you haven’t already) so I’m here to share mine too, inspired by their “Not The Beloved” fic. An ‘what if’ scenario if you will.
warnings: spoilers for lmk season 5, gender neutral reader, child neglect, parentification, favouritism, yandere platonic/familial characters, kidnapping, likely OOC writing.
Following close to canon, Xiangliu was the one responsible for MK’s egg hatching prematurely. Thus, also allowing for the Shadowpeach family to finally have their perfect monkey baby!
One day for whatever reason, Xiangliu ends up on the Flower Fruit mountain. Recognising where he is, he decides to pay a quick visit to the little harbinger that he had set free.
He didn’t have to look for long, as he noticed two small, monkey silhouettes on the beach. Approaching them, he immediately recognised MK, the little ball of sunshine as energetic as ever. He played with who appeared to be another monkey, only somewhat much taller than him in stature.
However, upon closer inspection, Xiangliu realized that it wasn’t another monkey that MK played with. As the young child took off their hood, the demon was met with a pair of innocent, large eyes that stared back at him.
A human.
Curious enough, he approaches you both. Despite your cautiousness about this strange new face, you easily let your guard down once he convinces you that he’s an old friend of Sun Wukong’s.
He quickly learns that you’re MK’s older sibling and Wukong’s and Macaque’s adopted human child. When Xiangliu asks about your parents’ whereabouts, he’s surprised to learn that both of them are away. “And you’re taking care of the little one all by yourself? Your brother sure seems lucky to have such a reliable older sibling,” he comments. He doesn’t miss the way you try to hide your frown and then nod along.
Naturally, Xiangliu doesn’t stick around for too long. He leaves and once your fathers return, you mention your father’s “old friend” visiting and describe him as best as you can.
Not recognising anyone by that description, Sun Wukong and Macaque brush it off as you having an imaginary friend.
As for Xiangliu himself, he had to admit that he didn’t expect for Sun Wukong and his mate to be present at the right time to adopt the future Harbinger of Chaos. Or that the Great Sun Wukong would also adopt a human child beforehand. Knowing the potential risk to his plans if the Harbinger was being raised by the Monkey King and the Six Eared Macaque, the nine headed demon decides to drop by more frequently.
He knew that he couldn’t directly approach baby MK. The fact that Sun Wukong and his spouse were fussing over him would mean that he had no opening for talking to the mystic baby monkey without having to talk to them.
And that’s where you come in like a blessing.
By befriending and gaining your trust first, Xiangliu could indirectly learn more about what the rest of your family has been up to. He’d have to put in a little effort not to be noticed by your fathers, sure, but as long as he could use you to keep an eye on MK’s development under the Great Sage, it’ll be worth it.
In the next few years that follow, Xiangliu has observed the dynamics that were in your family in order to befriend you. To him, it became obvious fast how there was a clear favoritism directed towards the youngest child in the family. Of course, he’d use that distance that your fathers were making to let himself close to you.
Each time you were left alone with MK, Xiangliu would appear. Knowing that your parents considered his existence just as imaginary, he decided to play under that guise. He made sure to always remain friendly towards you and MK, offering to play with you both. The best part of all of it to you was that he didn’t treat you differently than MK.
Along with your friendship with Xiangliu prolonging, he started to notice how your fathers’ treatment of MK started to affect you further into your childhood. He didn’t have to intertwine or even talk to you to see it, since your fathers didn’t have to put any effort in making it more obvious.
Whenever he’d attempt to talk to you alone, you’d have to apologize, saying that you’re too tired to talk. The reasons being going to school and then having to babysit MK. It seemed that your fathers completely forgot how the demon toddler’s stamina was much more vast compared to that of a human child.
And when you weren’t tired, it was during the times that you had your fathers drag you along to wherever MK wanted to go. You never had time to talk to Xiangliu anymore or to even do your own hobbies.
And like a salt to the wound, the demon could also see all the brand new gifts that MK had each time he’d have some time to observe the boy. Compared to him, you still had your hand-me-downs from your Papa. It didn’t help that along with them, patched slits for nonexistent ears and tail remained on those clothes. Like a cruel reminder to the reason for your father’s selfish treatment.
It was baffling how both of your fathers prioritized your brother’s feelings over your being. Your entire existence was limited to wherever your parents decided that MK needed something more.
When you tried to reach out to any other adults or to any other kids about your state at home, you were either brushed off or met with disdain. Other people in your life told you to grow out of it and stop being ungrateful. You were the adopted child of Great Sage and his loyal partner, after all. What more do you want, when you already have what many other children don’t?
The more he watched, the more that Xiangliu started to feel an ounce of remorse towards you. While he watched your social life crumble due to having to put MK’s needs before your own, he started to wonder if he made the right choice by letting the boy be adopted by two enabling monkeys.
One time, he caught you quietly crying to yourself. With no one around, Xiangliu had a rare opportunity to comfort you.
“I hate it! Everyone keeps saying how I should be grateful for being adopted by the great, famous warriors like baba and papa… but-! It’s like they don’t love me. Not as much as MK anyway,” as you sniffle, the demon reaches out to stroke your hair.
His touch is gentle while he watches you with a stern frown.
“You must really hate MK, don’t you child?” Xiangliu asks, “To be completely robbed of your freedom, all because both of your parents prioritize his wishes and needs over your own. That must’ve been so difficult for a child like you.”
As you wipe away your tears, you look at your ‘imaginary friend’.
“I… I don’t,” you admit, “It’s not that I hate MK, it’s just… I-I don’t like how both baba and papa brush me off. When I tell them I’m too tired, I can rest only after all of us go to the arcade that MK wanted to go to. I can’t even play or go to my friends on my own! MK always wants me to play with him or else he’d get upset. And both of them hate to see him cry…”
Xiangliu was quiet as your lower lip started to wobble again. More of your tears fell, making the nine headed demon pull you in a hug.
“It’s not fair, it’s not! Why do they care more about what MK wants? He always gets anything he asks! But I want new things too! Why do I have to work for them and MK doesn’t?!” you wail. “Why is MK their favorite?! I didn’t do anything wrong!”
“Oh, I know, I know, child…”
“It’s not fair, it’s not fair!!”
Feeling his resentment for your family growing, Xiangliu doesn’t say anything. He just lets you cry your little heart out.
Once you’re all tuckered out from crying, Xiangliu has no heart to put you back in your bed. He was still fixated on you, safe and peaceful in his arms. Your tear stained face and swollen eyes were something that he couldn’t look away from without feeling resentment.
As a so-called hero and warrior, he couldn’t help but to laugh bitterly each time Wukong referred to himself as your baba. Xiangliu saw how many clones he summoned to take care of MK the moment the boy got sick with the slightest cold. Yet he nor his partner could spare one glance at you, who was waiting for them while being late to school.
He hated the way Macaque missed your potential over the sake of training MK. While he taught the boy how to shadow travel, he completely missed the way you tried to get his attention by trying to perfect one of his signature moves. He only ever patted your head and told you not to bother with it, while going to then teach and praise MK for trying that exact same move.
It seemed that the privileges from Nuwa never left MK, despite him abandoning his shell. The more he observed the young boy, the more Xiangliu grew bitter.
Because of his parents, the boy is gonna grow up with a need to be a hero. To live up to the ideal that Nuwa and his own parents had set out for him.
All while you were used and left behind, like an unpolished gem meant as a gift for your brother.
He recognised that your brother was attached to you. He might be the only one who pays attention to you, besides Xiangliu himself. But, he is also the reason others miss seeing your true potential. You were still young and unwilling to accept that little MK was the true cause for your suffering.
But, that’s where a demon like Xiangliu can help.
He watched you be sidelined for far too long. Your fathers never gave you a chance to experience what you could’ve been, they just kept you restrained to what you should be for your brother.
Irony of it all was that once long ago, your fathers were the one who rebelled against the whole Heaven. And now, they were keeping their own child in a gilded cage while simultaneously undermining your wants and needs, just like how Heaven did to them.
Just like how Nuwa did to him.
He was done watching you suffer your fathers’ foolishness.
Black tendrils now surround you both, it wasn’t long until Xiangliu had you both teleported from your room. And even so, when he glanced over your unconscious form, you were still sleeping and unaware.
Far away from those disgraceful fathers, demanding younger brother and that tropical prison that you’ve been forced to call home, now with him you’ll finally be free. Soon enough and with him by your side, you’ll be able to reach your full potential.
No matter the sudden change in his plans, Xiangliu knows that having you here with him will prove much more fruitful later down the line. And as for your family and more specifically, your brother….
It was too late for him to fix what’s already been done with MK. But he knows, he’ll be able to help you set yourself free.
By sharing with you the freedom of what only the Chaos can bring.
ending note:
It's been so long since the last time I wrote something. I hope that it wasn’t a boring read, lol.
Also, I should mention, I hadn’t finished watching season 5 so I have yet to see what else is going on, buuut I had to get this fic idea out of my system, so yeah.
Thank you everyone that stuck ‘til the end!

I absolutely loved your platonic Yandere wukong and macaque
I know you said you don’t have many ideas to it, so you can skip this if you want, but theres very few platonic yandere wukong and macaque out there, so i can at least try to ask.
But what if teen reader was a simian, but with 4 ears
Because wukong has 2 ears and macaque 6 so a 4 eared child is like fate
Oh yess! I love it I love it!
Okay so imagine, first off that Reader was human in her world. Suddenly when she is transported to this new world she suddenly has four ears, everything is so loud! She has fur covering her body that she doesn’t know how to care for and that’s not even mentioning the tail she can’t fully control!
Now being a simian the duo quickly like her, Macaque entranced by the fact she has four ears. They look like his! Wukong loves the look too, he always wanted a cub!
Her fate is sealed the moment they lay their eyes on her. They adore her and see her as the child they always wanted. The duo would be grooming her and would even try to give her the food she cuts up. They want to see her well fed and not hungry. They would try to fight off anyone who comes near, she is just a cub a baby! (She’s a teen not a baby, but not the point!)
Girl is getting swiped as soon as the duo are able to bring her home!

may i request a yandere platonic duo Monkey king and Mk with a female darling thas been kidnapped and wont talk to them AT ALL. darlings not scared , she just doing this out of spite and anger due to the fact that they took everything away from her hcs please
Sure! I'll see what ideas I can come up with for this :) A couple sections use female pronouns but it's never really focused in this since I'm so used to GN nowadays.
Yandere! Platonic! Sun Wukong + MK with Defiant! Darling
Pairing: Platonic - Sharing
Possible Trigger Warnings: Female Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Overprotective behavior, Isolation, Kidnapping, Delusional behavior, Forced companionship.
The two wouldn't understand why you insist on neglecting them.
They've always been your friends, right?
Knowing them and the fact they're teacher and student, I can see them having similar motives for a shared obsession.
They're both heroes who have seen how bad the world can get.
Considering Wukong's yandere behavior, it would make sense if he passed it down to MK.
Both of them do what they do to "protect" their obsession.
Doesn't matter what it takes as long as you're safe, right?
Unfortunately... Both of them decided keeping you at Flower Fruit Mountain was the best action to keep you safe.
It was no doubt Wukong's idea.
This is yet another case of two traumatized heroes being scared of losing you.
I imagine they do know why you're ignoring them, but refuse to see what they're doing as wrong.
They're trying to help keep you safe, yet they're obviously not keeping you happy.
Wukong seems like he'd give you space.
After all, they tricked a human woman to come to the mountain then trapped her here....
Protection or not, Wukong must have at least a little self awareness to know you're scared.
MK, on the other hand, is more insistent on you talking to him.
You two have been friends for a while....
He views you like a sister almost and is incredibly upset that you won't even acknowledge him.
Are you just going to ignore the years you've known him?
Ironically you feel the same way, for different reasons.
You never thought two heroes, ones that were your friends, would kidnap you like some damsel in distress.
It pisses you off, rightfully so.
The silent treatment is probably the most tame thing you could've done.
Yet it still makes MK anxious all the same....
MK may actually ask Wukong if what they're doing is the "right thing for her?"
Wukong would probably encourage MK, claiming you'd be safer here in the more peaceful environment of the mountain.
After all, MK most likely came to Wukong after experiencing fears of losing you.
This was no doubt after LBD and learning he's also a monkey demon....
Wukong, in response, manipulates MK into manipulating you.
The monkey king has similar fears to MK when it comes to losing those he loves.
Wukong is also attached to you, which would drive him to convince MK of this whole plan.
Your feelings are justified, extremely justified.
Yet the two act like they aren't.
Why would you punish them for doing something good for you?
They're both delusional, no doubt about it honestly.
Isolation is selfish and doesn't protect you.
Wukong tries to be accommodating, letting you roam with supervision and offering gifts or games.
MK is clingy with you, incredibly clingy.
He's begging you to forgive him, to pay attention to him.
He easily cracks over the silent treatment, practically having tears in his eyes as he wraps around your arm.
You merely stare at the wall, glaring when they try to talk to you.
They really did take everything.
Your friends, family, home....
Now you're stuck on this damn mountain with them and a bunch of monkeys.
When they first brought you here, you believed them when they said there was some sort of danger.
Now, probably months later, you don't believe that story.
You feel betrayed and irritated.
You know there's no way for you to get back home without powers like Wukong or MK.
Not unless you enjoy going through hazards that might outright kill you, which you know they'll never allow.
So, instead, being quiet and never speaking is your best method of defiance.
While you might be winning over MK, Wukong doesn't seem affected.
Wukong plans to keep you protected, he knows MK wants the same thing too.
It may be tough... but you'll break eventually.
Soon you'll realize you need them at some point...
Once you do, they'll accept you with open arms when you accept them... then you'll be safe, happy, and all theirs.

@itsabouttimex2
Fang Zhi, mistress of Rainbow Cloud Peak, a notorious and well-known cultivator sect, sitted there quetly, sipping a tea that she had made appear from her scroll and the water ink. Mk gasped in surprise, but her eyes were sinoed in your almost ashamed frame. You weren't surprised by her ability, since she knew that you could use them too, but what you didn't expect was from her to be so direct with her request to your parents.
Wukong, one of your fathers, was quite nervous by her presence in his house. Well, maybe not exactly that nervous; he was more annoyed. He never liked when some strangers were in his house. That's the main reason why you couldn't bring any friends at home, especially when they had certain demands with them...Just like the lady in front of Wukong.
At least he seemed calm, because your other father, Macaque, was less than happy to have her around.
"Your request is absurd."
"It's absurd to not consider it, oh great sage."
She had this time... She wasn't crossing a line, but clearly she knew how to move around. Wukong cleared his voice, trying to keep his composure.
"My child-"
"Y/n, yes."
"As I was saying, they have duties here. They can't just leave because they can...what they can do again?"
She puerced him with an ICE glare from her eyes, clear as a pond. The porcelain of her cup gritted between her fine nails while she processed the fact that your parents, like you had mentioned her, not only ignored every aspect of you, but they even were unaware of your great talent.
"They can use the power of creation. A rare ability, known to a few to be fair. They're young, but they got potential. I desire nothing more but to take them as my disciple."
She looked at you with a kind smile—one that even your parents weren't able to share with you. You felt uneasy, not because of the tension of the room but because a stranger gave you some hope.
"What does it mean to be your disciple?" MK inclined his head, curious about this strange person. He had always known that their older siblings were special, even if they always shooed him away or ran somewhere else where he couldn't reach.
"It means," said Fang Zhi, making the pot and the cup disappear in the air, "that if they want, they can follow me to my home and learn from me."
The two older monkeys looked at the small one with fear, knowing what was going to happen. His little face started to contort in a pained expression, his eyes started to water, and his little lips trembled. You looked at the woman, knowing that this was the end of it.
"NO!" screamed your little brother. "Y/n, have you stay here! They have to! I don't want them to leave!"
"Of course they won't leave!" Macaque rushed in, holding the small bundle of fur in his arms. "They'll stay here with us!"
"Y/n, Look at your brother! You can't leave knowing that he gets like this!" Wukong gestured towards the screaming baby that kept on demanding you tò not leave.
You felt ashamed; you felt like you were the bad one there because you hoped that this woman could set you free from this damn family and from this painful situation you were born into.
"So you rise brat now?"
Her voice was calm and collected, like a river, despite the heavy words she had spoken. The two older monkeys looked in shock and amused the woman, while she calmly fixed her long sleeves and silk of her robes.
"How dare you to-"
"Please, spare your breath. I came in because I just wanted to inform you, but in the end, it was never yours to decide."
She then reached her hands towards you, looking you with a soft and silent determination in her eyes.
"It's your to make, y/n... Will you become my disciple?"
In a few hours, the two of you were already on the road. And while the screams of your little brother were slowly disappearing behind you, the weight in your chest slowly started to disappear.
///
At Rainbow Cloud Peak, everybody is threatened like everybody else. No one is better than the others, not for their ability, and, despite that, there is not favoritism between students. Everybody had to wear the same robes; everybody had the same instruments and materials. Rules had to be followed by everybody, and if someone broke them, they had to be punished.
There's equality there, and you loved that.
For the first time, you weren't treated differently; you were just like the others; you weren't treated like the second-hand choice, like a disappointment to just exist.
Your works were valued; your efforts were seen by your peers and youngers. Without you having even noticed, you were one of the top disciples in the cultivator group.
"You're the best one in all of our activities! It's incredibile that you were just here for a few months!" Mùchén, one of your peers, a young man with quite some skills with the poetry but lacking in the painting arts, was looking at a few of the swallows that started to fly away from your scroll.
"I'm not that great! Calligraphy is a pain in my ass, and my sword skills are good only when those are painted."
"Nonsense!" Dai Lu, a young girl that started to follow you, and Mùchén, the best one in the use of the sword around there, almost screamed, jumping down her small spot. "Those skills are just small things! You're the great next master of the cultivators of Rainbow Cloud Peak! Everybody say that!"
"Except Jun Hie, remember?"
"He's just an idiot!"
Jun Hie, were either of the top students or your rival? Well, you never had a rival before—at least one that you could match at least. Despite the name, you were on some good terms with him; he had made you go beyond your limits, made you think somehow, and you were glad you had met him.
Maybe there was something more than just rivalry between you two...
You were glad you had found some piece, some happiness...
And you knew that everything was supposed to end someday.
Your master knowledge would end, you would be ready to leave, and the idea to go back there was that your brother was suffocating, a torture. You didn't want that.
Every day nearer the end was more painful than the others before; you couldn't stand that.
No, you didn't want that to go back!
"Please!" Your sobs and cries were intensified by your sleeves, your head deep in the ground while you were kneeling in front of your master. "I beg you! Let me stay here! Don't let me go back there! I can't stand it! I refer to the lineliness rather than being a prisoner like that before."
Every day, a new letter had come, informing you how much Mk had missed you and that he wanted you back. The training was, for your parents, just a silly little thing that was taking a toll on you, and you needed to go back for your little brother that loved you deeply!
They wanted you back in the cage for the little prince; they didn't care for you at all! Just because you weren't a monkey like them!
And while you were begging, the kind and gentle hands of your master rose your face, holding you with a kindness that no one in your family ever showed you.
"The power of creation...my dear, it holds not only to bring life but change itself! And what kind of master have I not given you the chance to break through a destiny such as this one?"
From the first time. In your life, you saw the light in her words. Like that day, she was setting you free.
"Choose the destiny that you want, away from the cage."

If you still make Pokémon Sun and Moon, could you make Yandere Platonic Professor Kukui react to seeing one of his student again?
Yandere Reactions: Platonic Yandere: Professor Kukui seeing his student again after they left Alola
In this scenario I went with they had gone to another region for one reason or another and came back years later. (If this was the wrong take, let me know and I can redo it.)
To say he was shocked to see them again after so long was an understatement.
They had changed so much yet he still managed to recognize them.
He was saddened when he heard they were leaving.
He understood their reasons, but he also wanted to be the one who taught them everything they would need to know about Pokémon and anything else they wanted/needed to know.
As soon as he met them again, he wanted to hear all about their time away from the Alola.
Whatever they decide to become he will be extremely proud of them.
He does hope they don’t plan on leaving any time soon.
It would be a shame if they only stayed a few days. Don’t they miss home? Isn’t it time to stay after such a long journey?

Hi
I have a request
Can I request yandere JTTW Macaqa and sun x long losy doughter reader
Like the reader was kidnap as a baby and was sent to the future.
But a spell sent her back to the past
And Mac see her woyh the group and is like my baby back
And he confutd sun about it.
And when they spend time they find out in the future she beIN takes care of by a family that want her .
And then some how she gets take back to the future. And Mac and sun trying to get her back. Sorry if you can't read some of this. I am at work and we are so busy
Oooh! I don’t know how long I can make it so I hope it’s all right if I make it 7 paragraphs but if I can make it longer then that’s great! Just giving you a heads up basically.
Warning: noob author, female reader, yandere platonic characters, and others.
Characters: sun wukong, macaque + a little bit of the jttw group.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You were adopted by the dbk family when they had found you at their door.
Reason why dbk had taken you in is because he was reminded of the time him and sun was sworn brothers so he decided to take care of you with his family as he also remembered the panic sun and macaque over something and this was the reason why as you have the features of both simians.
It was when you were playing with one of redson’s inventions that you were brought to the past, he told you to not but considering your monkey mischief nature and being a baby and not understanding what danger is you still played with it.
You had met the group while they set up camp for rest as it’ll be a while before they reach a village or any sort of civilization, Tripitaka and bai long ma was the one that found as the two was settling everything for the camp while the rest went and gather supplies for the night, you were in the small; or large grass to you, and was whimpering which made the two hear you and check on you.
Tripitaka didn’t know what to do as this never happened before but decided that the two would wait for the others and decide what should happen with you, though he does notice that you share similarities with sun but also not completely.
Pigsy was back first considering how lazy he was and only got what he could hold that wasn’t considered heavy for him but when he saw you he freaked out and screamed which caused sun and sandy to come running back, that scream though alerted you which startled and scared you so much you started to cry.
When sun saw you he couldn’t believe his eyes and hears, he thought it was a dream to see you again and was so happy to see that you were ok but started to think that maybe he was dreaming, though that thought stopped when his master had handed you to him when Tripitaka noticed his disciple’s eyes being on you with what looked like tears plus the expression being of shock and happiness, more happiness than he ever saw sun show.
Sun had made a clone and had it quickly find macaque, his mate, so he could see his little cub again after so long of missing you and trying to find you.
When macaque was brought to the group by the clone of his mate, he was brought to tears at finding you sleeping while holding onto your papa’s finger, he had missed you and been trying to find you everywhere he could with his hearing and other abilities he share with sun.
Reason why he didn’t know you had returned was because his thoughts were too loud as he was concentrating on finding you to hear about how you were with his mate.
(I heard that macaque could hear the past, present, and future so correct me if I’m wrong or misunderstood something about that.)
You had spend two weeks with them before you suddenly disappeared again back to dbk’s home. The two spent centuries searching for you and ended up on bad terms because of your second disappearance before finding you another century with redson.
For you it had be a few days since you were gone but it still worried the three who had adopted you into their family. When sun and macaque had both showed up at their doorsteps deman-wishing to see you after so long of you being apart from your biological fathers, the two family had a long discussion in which you would come and visit the dbk family once or so a week and that they were free to come and visit as well once or so a week.
And with that sun and macaque finally found you and they weren’t going to let you go missing from their embrace again, plus with mk and Bai he as new additions, it’ll be hard for you to go missing or get kidnapped away from them.
(A/n: I hope you like what I did with it!! Also hope you like the idea of dbk adopting the reader too, anyway hope y’all have a wonderful day/evening/night!! 😁)
Questions for the three. When y/n first came into your lives, what was your impression of her?
Next, what was your favorite first memory of her as your first roles as father's?
Moon: *Eyes soften and his smile warms* Finding her...
Eclipse: *Smiling as well* Her hiding behind Moon's leg when he first introduced us.
Sun: *Smiles innocently* When I snuck up on her one day to say hello and she kicked me in the bolts!
[Moon and Eclipse lean forward in their seats, heads facing towards Sun while I lean to the side and look around the camera. All three of us staring at him in shock]
Now, you can read it on AO3 too!
Unloved Beloved
One person already shared their idea for @itsabouttimex2’s platonic yan AU, “Not The Beloved” (go check it out if you haven’t already) so I’m here to share mine too, inspired by their “Not The Beloved” fic. An ‘what if’ scenario if you will.
warnings: spoilers for lmk season 5, gender neutral reader, child neglect, parentification, favouritism, yandere platonic/familial characters, kidnapping, likely OOC writing.
Following close to canon, Xiangliu was the one responsible for MK’s egg hatching prematurely. Thus, also allowing for the Shadowpeach family to finally have their perfect monkey baby!
One day for whatever reason, Xiangliu ends up on the Flower Fruit mountain. Recognising where he is, he decides to pay a quick visit to the little harbinger that he had set free.
He didn’t have to look for long, as he noticed two small, monkey silhouettes on the beach. Approaching them, he immediately recognised MK, the little ball of sunshine as energetic as ever. He played with who appeared to be another monkey, only somewhat much taller than him in stature.
However, upon closer inspection, Xiangliu realized that it wasn’t another monkey that MK played with. As the young child took off their hood, the demon was met with a pair of innocent, large eyes that stared back at him.
A human.
Curious enough, he approaches you both. Despite your cautiousness about this strange new face, you easily let your guard down once he convinces you that he’s an old friend of Sun Wukong’s.
He quickly learns that you’re MK’s older sibling and Wukong’s and Macaque’s adopted human child. When Xiangliu asks about your parents’ whereabouts, he’s surprised to learn that both of them are away. “And you’re taking care of the little one all by yourself? Your brother sure seems lucky to have such a reliable older sibling,” he comments. He doesn’t miss the way you try to hide your frown and then nod along.
Naturally, Xiangliu doesn’t stick around for too long. He leaves and once your fathers return, you mention your father’s “old friend” visiting and describe him as best as you can.
Not recognising anyone by that description, Sun Wukong and Macaque brush it off as you having an imaginary friend.
As for Xiangliu himself, he had to admit that he didn’t expect for Sun Wukong and his mate to be present at the right time to adopt the future Harbinger of Chaos. Or that the Great Sun Wukong would also adopt a human child beforehand. Knowing the potential risk to his plans if the Harbinger was being raised by the Monkey King and the Six Eared Macaque, the nine headed demon decides to drop by more frequently.
He knew that he couldn’t directly approach baby MK. The fact that Sun Wukong and his spouse were fussing over him would mean that he had no opening for talking to the mystic baby monkey without having to talk to them.
And that’s where you come in like a blessing.
By befriending and gaining your trust first, Xiangliu could indirectly learn more about what the rest of your family has been up to. He’d have to put in a little effort not to be noticed by your fathers, sure, but as long as he could use you to keep an eye on MK’s development under the Great Sage, it’ll be worth it.
In the next few years that follow, Xiangliu has observed the dynamics that were in your family in order to befriend you. To him, it became obvious fast how there was a clear favoritism directed towards the youngest child in the family. Of course, he’d use that distance that your fathers were making to let himself close to you.
Each time you were left alone with MK, Xiangliu would appear. Knowing that your parents considered his existence just as imaginary, he decided to play under that guise. He made sure to always remain friendly towards you and MK, offering to play with you both. The best part of all of it to you was that he didn’t treat you differently than MK.
Along with your friendship with Xiangliu prolonging, he started to notice how your fathers’ treatment of MK started to affect you further into your childhood. He didn’t have to intertwine or even talk to you to see it, since your fathers didn’t have to put any effort in making it more obvious.
Whenever he’d attempt to talk to you alone, you’d have to apologize, saying that you’re too tired to talk. The reasons being going to school and then having to babysit MK. It seemed that your fathers completely forgot how the demon toddler’s stamina was much more vast compared to that of a human child.
And when you weren’t tired, it was during the times that you had your fathers drag you along to wherever MK wanted to go. You never had time to talk to Xiangliu anymore or to even do your own hobbies.
And like a salt to the wound, the demon could also see all the brand new gifts that MK had each time he’d have some time to observe the boy. Compared to him, you still had your hand-me-downs from your Papa. It didn’t help that along with them, patched slits for nonexistent ears and tail remained on those clothes. Like a cruel reminder to the reason for your father’s selfish treatment.
It was baffling how both of your fathers prioritized your brother’s feelings over your being. Your entire existence was limited to wherever your parents decided that MK needed something more.
When you tried to reach out to any other adults or to any other kids about your state at home, you were either brushed off or met with disdain. Other people in your life told you to grow out of it and stop being ungrateful. You were the adopted child of Great Sage and his loyal partner, after all. What more do you want, when you already have what many other children don’t?
The more he watched, the more that Xiangliu started to feel an ounce of remorse towards you. While he watched your social life crumble due to having to put MK’s needs before your own, he started to wonder if he made the right choice by letting the boy be adopted by two enabling monkeys.
One time, he caught you quietly crying to yourself. With no one around, Xiangliu had a rare opportunity to comfort you.
“I hate it! Everyone keeps saying how I should be grateful for being adopted by the great, famous warriors like baba and papa… but-! It’s like they don’t love me. Not as much as MK anyway,” as you sniffle, the demon reaches out to stroke your hair.
His touch is gentle while he watches you with a stern frown.
“You must really hate MK, don’t you child?” Xiangliu asks, “To be completely robbed of your freedom, all because both of your parents prioritize his wishes and needs over your own. That must’ve been so difficult for a child like you.”
As you wipe away your tears, you look at your ‘imaginary friend’.
“I… I don’t,” you admit, “It’s not that I hate MK, it’s just… I-I don’t like how both baba and papa brush me off. When I tell them I’m too tired, I can rest only after all of us go to the arcade that MK wanted to go to. I can’t even play or go to my friends on my own! MK always wants me to play with him or else he’d get upset. And both of them hate to see him cry…”
Xiangliu was quiet as your lower lip started to wobble again. More of your tears fell, making the nine headed demon pull you in a hug.
“It’s not fair, it’s not! Why do they care more about what MK wants? He always gets anything he asks! But I want new things too! Why do I have to work for them and MK doesn’t?!” you wail. “Why is MK their favorite?! I didn’t do anything wrong!”
“Oh, I know, I know, child…”
“It’s not fair, it’s not fair!!”
Feeling his resentment for your family growing, Xiangliu doesn’t say anything. He just lets you cry your little heart out.
Once you’re all tuckered out from crying, Xiangliu has no heart to put you back in your bed. He was still fixated on you, safe and peaceful in his arms. Your tear stained face and swollen eyes were something that he couldn’t look away from without feeling resentment.
As a so-called hero and warrior, he couldn’t help but to laugh bitterly each time Wukong referred to himself as your baba. Xiangliu saw how many clones he summoned to take care of MK the moment the boy got sick with the slightest cold. Yet he nor his partner could spare one glance at you, who was waiting for them while being late to school.
He hated the way Macaque missed your potential over the sake of training MK. While he taught the boy how to shadow travel, he completely missed the way you tried to get his attention by trying to perfect one of his signature moves. He only ever patted your head and told you not to bother with it, while going to then teach and praise MK for trying that exact same move.
It seemed that the privileges from Nuwa never left MK, despite him abandoning his shell. The more he observed the young boy, the more Xiangliu grew bitter.
Because of his parents, the boy is gonna grow up with a need to be a hero. To live up to the ideal that Nuwa and his own parents had set out for him.
All while you were used and left behind, like an unpolished gem meant as a gift for your brother.
He recognised that your brother was attached to you. He might be the only one who pays attention to you, besides Xiangliu himself. But, he is also the reason others miss seeing your true potential. You were still young and unwilling to accept that little MK was the true cause for your suffering.
But, that’s where a demon like Xiangliu can help.
He watched you be sidelined for far too long. Your fathers never gave you a chance to experience what you could’ve been, they just kept you restrained to what you should be for your brother.
Irony of it all was that once long ago, your fathers were the one who rebelled against the whole Heaven. And now, they were keeping their own child in a gilded cage while simultaneously undermining your wants and needs, just like how Heaven did to them.
Just like how Nuwa did to him.
He was done watching you suffer your fathers’ foolishness.
Black tendrils now surround you both, it wasn’t long until Xiangliu had you both teleported from your room. And even so, when he glanced over your unconscious form, you were still sleeping and unaware.
Far away from those disgraceful fathers, demanding younger brother and that tropical prison that you’ve been forced to call home, now with him you’ll finally be free. Soon enough and with him by your side, you’ll be able to reach your full potential.
No matter the sudden change in his plans, Xiangliu knows that having you here with him will prove much more fruitful later down the line. And as for your family and more specifically, your brother….
It was too late for him to fix what’s already been done with MK. But he knows, he’ll be able to help you set yourself free.
By sharing with you the freedom of what only the Chaos can bring.
ending note:
It's been so long since the last time I wrote something. I hope that it wasn’t a boring read, lol.
Also, I should mention, I hadn’t finished watching season 5 so I have yet to see what else is going on, buuut I had to get this fic idea out of my system, so yeah.
Thank you everyone that stuck ‘til the end!
After your platonic Yandere wukong and macaque, i had the image of their curse being broken, just picking y/n up from their scruff dropping them into the nest before purring cuddling parent mode activated
Oh yess they totally would!
Reader would not be able to escape their new parental urges! Never! The duo would just pull her into cuddles. Giving her cut up fruit and making sure she has the comfiest clothing. She would be showered in gifts and have anything she wanted.
Except for freedom… though she does have more freedom than Romantic Yandere Macaque and Wukong give their Reader. If it’s platonic at least she gets her own bedroom to hide away in.
Yandere! Townspeople Harem x Lucky Reader
Warnings: Obsessive Behavior, Yandere Thoughts, Bad Writing, Stalking, Possessive Behavior, Reader is Referred as ‘You’
A/N: I have no clue what I was on when I wrote this 💀. This is also inspired by a Reddit post I saw long time ago.
🌟 Yandere! Townspeople who are absolutely enamored by you and everything that you do. They treat you as if you are some kind of entity waiting to be put on a golden pedestal and paraded around town. You are essentially the town’s golden boy/girl/person, a mascot if you can even call it that. In their eyes everything that you do is inspiring and encouraged. It also doesn’t help that you were born with this amazing power that causes you to become extremely lucky. No matter the deed, every action was thrust into the spotlight as if it were a gracious gesture for the community's well-being. Take, for instance, if you ever fatally shot someone the townsfolk would erupt in applause, discovering the individual to be a notorious mass murderer and your action saved the town.
🌟 Yandere! Townspeople who can’t help but gush over every miniscule achievement that you got. You got a perfect attendance award? They wouldn’t expect anything less from you. Did you just get a participation trophy? Well they're cheering for you as if you just won the world cup. To say their actions are embarrassing is definitely an understatement. Everytime they cheer for you, you can’t help but die a little bit on the inside.
🌟 Yandere! Townspeople who absolutely cannot fathom the idea of you moving out of their town. They would much rather skin themselves alive and commit arson than to allow you to leave them. Everywhere you go, there will always be some form of eyes on you. There will always be some type of survance of you at any time of the day. Depending on the person, the townspeople's love for you can either be platonic or romantic. Basically half of the town wants to fuck your and the other half sees you as their beloved child or grandchild.
🌟 Yandere! Townspeople who may or may not be human. Like sure they might have the occasional human sacrifices but what town doesn’t!?!? This is totally normal behavior that people exhibit. What’s that? Did you just see a tentacle coming out from that woman over there? Nahhh. You must be imagining that! What a cute and overactive imagination you have there. In all seriousness, it would literally die for you. You're just a cutie patootie to them. Your small teeth are so cute compared to their razor sharp fangs. You know, you could really use that small mouth of yours and suck on their–
🌟 Yandere! Townspeople have a monthly ritual where they gather around to brag about all of the items that they stole from you. Never in your life will you see someone so happy to own a pair of used underwear that didn’t belong to them or some used pair of socks. If you looked up a textbook definition of “down bad” then a picture of the Yandere! Townspeople would be the first images to pop up. In your presence these people act as if they had never touched grass or seen the sun before. They all seem to have some type of mutual agreement that in your presence, they would try to act somewhat normal in order to not scare/scar you too much.
—
From a young age, your luck was apparent. In school, while others struggled with exams, you breezed through them effortlessly, always managing to stumble upon the exact answers needed to excel. Teachers marveled at your natural knack for stumbling upon solutions, even in the most challenging of situations. As you grew older, the extraordinary luck only seemed to amplify. Job interviews turned into job offers within minutes, as if the universe conspired to ensure your success in every endeavor. Colleagues joked that working with you was like having a lucky charm around, as projects that seemed doomed to fail miraculously turned into resounding triumphs whenever you were involved. It might seem great and all BUT DAMN WAS THIS LIFE SO FUCKING BORING!!!! Which is why you decided to spice up your day a little and rob a bank.
“Oh hello [Reader]! Is this going to be the usual procedure?” The bank teller asks you with a smile on their face as you hold a gun to their face. “You know… the weather is perfectly nice today. It would be a perfect day for a date don’t you think–”
Suddenly a thunderous crash was heard, the police burst through the bank doors, their badges glinting under the harsh fluorescent lights. Guns drawn and voices booming commands, they swept into the lobby, faces masked with determination. Until the police chief sees you and lets out a tired sigh, “Guns down everyone, it’s just [Reader].” A faint sound of disappointed groans can be heard from the crowd of bank patrons from the back. “Why are the police here so soon, I didn’t get enough time to admire their pretty face.” another voice could be heard, “For real, their never this fast in an actual emergency. I mean they only just shot and killed one person, it's really nothing to worry about like who cares–”
—
“You are free to go [Reader], again.” the police officer states as she releases you from your handcuffs. “Turns out the man that you shot ended up being a drug dealer. You really have a special talent for catching criminals don’t you. She states as she gazes at you with loving eyes. “You know I’m free after this shift, you think we can–”
Before she can finish her sentence you walk away with a dejected look on your face. You couldn’t believe how boring a day this turned out to be. Seriously, you wished that something exciting would happen in this town for once you think to yourself. Failing to notice a scene behind you. One that consisted of a bunch of monsters eating the souls of the innocent while on their knees for a statue that seemed to look like you. They all seem to be gripping onto something though– HEY, WAIT A MINUTE ARE THEY HOLDING YOUR UNDERWEAR!?!!?
─ Too Tight, Too Much
yandere! luffy x gn! reader
• fic type: oneshot
• summary: you felt like a burden to the strawhat pirate who constantly grew stronger by the day, especially Luffy. So you decided to do them a service by leaving the crew, little did you know Luffy doesn't like to let go.
• word count: 2.3k
• warnings: obsessive tendencies, kidnapping, possessive physical touch [nonsexual]
• a/n: I forgot to post this, sorry chat 🧍♀️,, also can be read as platonic or romantic. Also also,, I tried something different w/ this writing style! ^^
The decision had been made long before you ever set foot on that island. It wasn’t a fleeting impulse, nor was it born from doubt in Luffy’s dream. You believed in him—more than anything.
But belief wasn’t enough.
You saw the way the others grew stronger, how their names carried weight across the sea, how they each carved their place into history with their own hands. Zoro’s blade could cut through steel. Sanji’s legs burned brighter than the sun. Robin could summon a thousand hands to break an army.
And you?
You had no grand ambitions, no great power. No Devil Fruit, no Haki, no title whispered in fear. You weren’t weak, but you weren’t enough.
So you made your choice.
It was easier than you thought it would be. The town was alive with music and laughter, lanterns swinging in the ocean breeze. The crew was lost in their own celebrations—Zoro and Sanji already in the middle of another argument, Usopp animatedly recounting some grand tale, Chopper stuffing himself with sweets. Luffy was in the center of it all, as he always was, grinning wildly, a beverage in one hand and a drumstick in the other.
It was the perfect moment. He was happy.
Distracted.
You turned away before doubt could creep in. Your steps were silent, your presence barely a whisper in the wind as you moved through the streets. No hesitation, no second thoughts. You told yourself you were doing the right thing.
That this was for the best.
But deep down, you knew the truth.
Luffy would never forgive you for this. And you would never forgive yourself.
••••
The island had been peaceful. A quiet little stop along the trade routes, where merchants gathered to restock their ships, exchange goods, and barter over prices with a mix of tenacity and exhaustion. The scent of salt and various spices hung heavy in the air, blending with the distant hum of the waves.
You had taken up temporary work guarding one of the ships docked there—a simple trade of protection for passage. The work was easy enough. A watchful eye, a firm stance, and most left you alone. You were a ghost passing through, a nameless traveler in a sea of transient faces.
Or so you thought.
After fulfilling your end of the bargain with your employer and receiving your pay, you found yourself wandering the market area, searching for an inn. The moment your boots met the soft dirt of the market, something in the air shifted. It was subtle at first, a prickling sensation along the back of your neck, a whisper of something inevitable.
Then you felt it—him.
His presence wasn’t loud or forceful, but it was all-consuming. Overwhelming. Undeniable. And when you lifted your gaze, there he was. Luffy stood in the middle of the bustling street, his straw hat tilted slightly back, dark eyes shining beneath its brim. His grin stretched wide, the same carefree expression you had seen a thousand times before, as if no time had passed at all.
“Y/n!”
His voice shattered the din of the marketplace, rising above the merchants’ calls and the chatter of weary travelers. It was raw, unfiltered joy—too much joy.
Your muscles tensed.
For a moment, you considered running. You could slip into the crowd, weave through the alleyways, disappear before he got any closer. You had done it before. You could do it again. But your feet refused to move.
Because to run would be cruel. Even for you.
You watched as he closed the distance between you with long, eager strides, his sandals slapping against the dirt road. His arms were already outstretched, reaching, claiming.
And then, he was there.
The force of his embrace nearly knocked the air from your lungs. His arms wrapped around you like iron bands, pulling you in against the familiar heat of his body. He smelled like the sea, like sun-warmed cotton and something undeniably Luffy.
He held you tight. Too tight.
A moment passed. Then another.
Slowly, you exhaled, allowing your hands to lift—to rest lightly against his back. Not quite returning the embrace, but not rejecting it either. Luffy made a sound—a breathy, contented sigh—as if something within him had finally settled.
Then he pulled back just enough to look at you, his fingers still curled against the fabric of your shirt. His eyes burned bright, his grin never wavering.
"I knew I’d see you again," Luffy said, his voice warm and bright, like he had never once doubted this moment.
His arms were locked around you, his grip firm—too firm—as if he thought you might slip away if he let go. His fingers pressed into your back, not enough to hurt, but enough to make you aware. His breath was warm against your shoulder, carrying the scent of salt and something faintly sweet, like the remnants of a half-eaten meal.
“You’re back now.”
Your lips parted, the words forming before you could decide whether you even wanted to say them. “I—”
“I missed you.”
The words came quickly, cutting off whatever you might’ve said. Luffy met your gaze, his expression unguarded, open. His dark eyes gleamed beneath the brim of his hat, wide and too bright, like the sun reflecting off the waves. There was something in them—something you couldn’t quite place—and it sent a slow prickle down your spine.
You had known Luffy since childhood. You had seen him angry, sad, frustrated. You had seen him laugh until he couldn’t breathe. But this? This was different.
And it made your chest feel too tight.
Luffy continued to grinned, but it didn’t quite reach his eyes. His fingers twitched against your sleeve, then tightened, his knuckles going white for just a fraction of a second before his grip relaxed again.
"Come on," he said, his voice light, casual, like this was any other day. Like you hadn’t left. Like he hadn’t spent who-knows-how-long searching for you. "The others are here, they’ll be happy to see you!"
You opened your mouth—to protest, to ask him to slow down, to breathe—but the words never left your throat.
Because before you could decide what to say, his fingers wrapped around your wrist.
And this time, he didn’t let go.
There was no force behind his grip, no sharp tug that demanded movement. But it was firm.
Unrelenting.
Final.
You hesitated. Just for a second.
That second was too long.
Luffy moved, and you moved with him, pulled effortlessly into his stride as he led you through the streets.
The market blurred around you—the murmur of voices, the clang of metal, the scent of spices and fresh bread—all of it faded into the background beneath the steady press of his hand.
People turned as you passed, their gazes flickering to the infamous Straw Hat Captain. Some whispered, some pointed, but Luffy didn’t even glance their way.
His attention was locked solely on you.
And for the first time since you’d known him, you weren’t sure if that was a good thing.
••••
The reunion was warm. Too warm.
The moment Luffy dragged you into the familiar chaos of the crew, you were engulfed. Arms thrown around your shoulders, voices overlapping, laughter echoing through the air. It was suffocating in its sincerity.
Zoro was the first to acknowledge you, though in typical fashion, he kept it brief. A smirk pulled at his lips as he crossed his arms over his chest. “Took you long enough,” he said, voice even, as if he had expected this outcome from the start.
Nami let out an exaggerated sigh, placing a hand on her hip. “You owe me for the stress you put me through,” she scolded, though there was no real anger behind her words.
Just relief.
Sanji, on the other hand, was all action. The moment you were seated, a plate was shoved in front of you, the aroma of a perfectly prepared meal filling your senses. “You’re too thin, Y/n-chan,” he fussed, already halfway to the kitchen to fetch more. “Have you even been eating properly?”
Usopp puffed out his chest, his hands gesturing wildly. “You should’ve seen what I did the other day! You’d have been impressed, I swear! I took down this massive sea beast with just—” he stopped mid-sentence, eyes narrowing. “Wait. Where were you, anyway?”
Before you could answer, Chopper had scrambled onto the chair beside you, pressing small hooves against your arm, his face scrunched in concern. “You’re healthy, at least,” he murmured, checking you over despite your insistence that you were fine.
Robin smiled knowingly from her seat, eyes studying you as if she already understood the story you hadn’t told.
Franky let out a booming laugh, giving you a hearty pat on the back that nearly sent you tumbling forward. “Took off on your own adventure, huh? Well, welcome back, bro!”
Brook, ever the performer, strummed at his guitar. “Ah, Y/n-san, I would ask if you missed me, but alas, I have no heart to feel longing, yohohoho~!”
Jinbe hummed lightly in approval, his eyes looking at you over the steaming cup of tea he'd raised towards his lips. "It is nice to have you back with it, Y/n."
It was almost too easy to fall back into place.
Almost.
Because Luffy never let go.
His eyes never left you, even as he laughed at Usopp’s exaggerated storytelling or tore through his usual mountain of food. His attention remained anchored to you, sharp and unwavering.
Every time you moved, his gaze followed. Every time you spoke, his attention sharpened. And then there was his touch. Fleeting, but constant.
A hand on your wrist when you reached for your drink. A brush of fingers against your shoulder when he leaned in to listen. The back of your shirt tugged absently when you shifted in your seat.
By the end of the night, you felt the weight of it. “I should go,” you finally said, standing up from the table. “I have a room at an inn.”
For a moment, just a second, something flickered in Luffy’s expression. A shadow, a hint of something unreadable, something wrong.
Then, just as quickly, his grin returned, wide and bright. “Alright,” he said, easy as ever. “Ill see you later.”
Not goodbye.
Not see you around.
I’ll see you later.
But you didn’t think much of it.
Not then.
••••
You had fallen asleep easily, exhaustion pulling you under the moment your head hit the pillow. The day had been long, full of laughter and conversation, the warmth of old friends pressing in on you from every side.
You had thought you were safe.
But when you woke up, something was wrong. The air smelled different—saltier, thick with the scent of the open sea. The faint trace of damp wood and metal drifted into your senses, something familiar, yet out of place.
The bed was softer, the sheets heavier, and when you shifted, you could feel the subtle sway beneath you. The sound of waves was louder—too close, too steady.
Your stomach twisted.
Your eyes snapped open, and as your vision adjusted to the dim morning light filtering through the room, the cold weight of realization settled over you. This wasn’t the inn.
This was the Thousand Sunny.
More than that—this was the Captain’s Quarters.
Your breath came slow, controlled, even as the unease crept up your spine. You sat up carefully, scanning the space, noting every detail—your bag tucked in the corner, your shoes neatly placed by the door, as if you had never left. As if you had always been here.
The door creaked open.
“Morning!” Luffy’s voice was warm, easy, as if this were just another day on the ship. As if nothing was wrong.
He stood in the doorway, his straw hat pushed back slightly, dark hair ruffled from sleep. His grin was the same as always—wide, bright, too full of something you couldn’t name.
“Sanji made breakfast,” he added, stepping inside like this was normal.
Like this was where you belonged.
You stared at him.
Your expression didn’t change, your voice remained steady. “Luffy.” He tilted his head slightly, his bare feet padding softly across the wooden floor as he closed the space between you.
“Why am I here?” you asked. Luffy blinked, as if the question itself didn’t make sense to him. “Because this is where you’re supposed to be.”
Supposed to be.
You exhaled slowly, forcing down the cold weight pressing against your chest. “You took me from the island.”
Luffy laughed.
Not a nervous chuckle. Not a guilty one.
A simple, carefree laugh.
“Yeah,” he said, as if it was obvious. “You fell asleep, so I brought you home.”
Your fingers curled slightly against the sheets. “…You should’ve asked.”
“I didn’t have to.”
His certainty was unshakable. And that’s what made your stomach turn.
Luffy moved closer, his warmth radiating off him in waves. His hand landed on your shoulder, a light press of fingers—too warm, too heavy. But then, he curled his fingers.
Not enough to hurt. But enough to hold.
“Now that you’re back,” he murmured, “I can keep going.” You didn’t breathe for a moment.
Your lips parted slightly, a rare display of emotion flickering across your features.
Luffy’s grip tightened just a fraction.
“You’re my Emperor,” he said simply, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. “I can’t be Pirate King without you.”
Your heart thumped, slow and heavy.
The weight of his words settled over you like an anchor.
Your lips parted, words forming before you could stop them. “…You don’t need me, Luffy.” He grinned. Wide. Too wide. “Yeah, I do!”
His hand slid down your arm, fingers tracing your skin, slow, deliberate. He didn’t grab. He didn’t pull.
But he didn’t let go.
Instead, his fingers wrapped around your wrist, his thumb brushing lazily against your pulse.
Outside, the ship rocked gently with the waves. The world stretched endlessly in every direction, open and unreachable.
You weren’t on that island anymore.
And you wouldn’t be again.
Luffy turned toward the door, still holding your wrist, still smiling like nothing was wrong. “C’mon,” he said. “Everyone’s waiting for you.”
Your eyes flickered to his face, taking in the curve of his lips, the shadow in his gaze, the way he held you like he was afraid you might disappear again.
Your expression remained unreadable. But deep inside, something twisted.
This was Luffy.
And Luffy never let go.
