Title: Stars falling into the sea

Pairing: Krel and Toby (your choice of romantic or platonic)

When a shooting star streaks across the inky black, you wish on it... maybe something will happen, though stars never seem to care if they do. Toby's wishing star just so happens to nearly crash into the very boat he and his marine biologist colleagues are on- and sinks into the reefs below. Taking a dive to survey the damage done to the landing zone, Toby finds wreckage, and so happens to see something- some one, reaching out for help.

I’ve just been dealing with school n stuff most of my content is on my other blog 🥳🥳🥳 BUTTTT I MADE A TOA OC AND ME ANS A FRIEND OF MINE ARE KJND WORLD BUILING IG SO YEA BUT- I’ll probably draw her later but it’s a self insert for ugh… krel 😻 god I love that boy (I do hc krel as aroace so it’ll probably be mostly queer platonic)

So basically I was kinda wondering, why haven’t we explored space more in ToA universe- but then I was like omg why not just do that myself 😻😻😻 so basically I made an alien oc (she’s kinda like animal like in nature rather than your typical alien yk) but I thought of this really cute concept fr SO I WAS LIKE WHAT IF THEY MET BACK WHEN THEY WERE KIDS CUZ THEIR PARENTS KNEW EACH OTHER AND THATD BE SO CUTE (cuz she goes looking for him after she heard about the coup) and basically she’s just looking for him during the entirety of 3below and then after wizards if you will (ignoring the movie yes) they finally get to see each other again (I’ll explain more in the next post probably but yea)

So. Every June, I try to challenge myself by posting something for Pride Month. For the past couple years, it's been ships with cute little pride flags. This year, the priority focus will be on the Trolls Summer Gift exchange. But at the very least I'd like to show ya'll the ones I've made in the past.

2022 bundle:

Bi Hiccup x Gay Jack. Fun fact: This was the first gay couple I've ever laid my eyes on as a young child. I saw this ship and thought "I want that kind of relationship."

Bi Tony x Gay Rudolph Watching the 2017 movie, these two reminded me of Luca and Alberto so much.

Aro Merida You get it? Cuz she's an archer. It's funny. Laugh.

Bi Nan Fang x Ace Fu Yao The headcannon was based off of a fanfic I read a while ago.

Demi Ace Xie Lian x Gay Hua Cheng. I sevearly enjoyed the series. I occasionally eat fics of these two as comfort foods.

Pan Xu Xuan x Trans Xiao Bai White snake was basically 2 hours of "What you are doesn't matter, it's who you are that matters", THEE Pansexual anthem, and then the second movie Turned Blanca into a guy? This is cannon.

Ace Liu Qingge x Bi Shen Yuan Imma be honest. I didn't like SVSSS very much. Yandere's are not my cup of tea. And I was really hoping Shizun would have gotten with Liu-shidi instead.

Gay Luca x Gay Alberto I'm so glad Luberto was actually confirmed to be somewhat cannon. Though Nowadays I see Luca as bi, cuz if we're counting the concept art as apart of the lore, then Luca had a crush on both Alberto and Giulia.

Gay Jade x Gay Katie. Kate is the first character I actually felt scene as a queer person.

Genderfluid Shi Qingxuan I freaking love them so much. Easily my favorite character.

Either Claire and Krel from ToA (we were robbed of their friendship) or Hiccup and Jack from ROTBTD (they have the best brotherly energy in my head). If a duo are likely to be unbelievably nerdy when you put them in a room together, best bet it'll be a pair I'm fond of lol. I'm also a big fan of Louie's individual friendships with both his brothers in DuckTales (2017), particularly with Huey tho.

6. Favorite headcanon?

Krel being ambidextrous with all 4 arms. Also Jack Frost's body temperature raising enough for his blood to thaw whenever he's around someone he's attracted to/romantically interested in, and him not knowing how to handle suddenly being able to blush very very visibly or feel his heartbeat.

Don’t Ship It - Staja

1. Why don’t you ship it?

Canon never managed to sell me on why it was a thing. I can absolutely buy Steve being Steve and ending up interested or least intrigued by a girl that beat the crap out of him, that’s never been a problem. Aja though? It felt forced, warping genuine curiosity about this strange world they fled to and “shit I hope the blond oaf is okay” to smitten romance? Sorry just can’t see it.

2. What would have made you like it?

If it was allowed to happen more organically and less like a flip got switched to AND SUDDENLY THEY’RE ROMANTICALLY INVOLVED. I’m not saying there was never any potential for it, just I cannot see it whatsoever in what they offered.

3. Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?

If we ignore That Thing them being friends with Steve suddenly being the straight man is great. It felt like natural progression of his character development and Trollhunters season 1 Steve is impossible to picture in the same scenario. Also the whole scenario created the best Aro Ace Krel moments we could have dreamed of.

Shame had to suffer that blasted “dramatic kiss scene” with the exploding goblins. I’m glad I don’t have visual memory.

1. What made you ship it?

THE TROLL DADS BE INNOCENTLY ADORABLE AND GAY. We were robbed that moment in RotT, it was right there.

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

Their relationship is so genuine like you can absolutely buy they were too very lost souls post Killahead who ended up together by chance, bonding through grief. All their interactions are so casual that could easily be read as platonic but the potential for more to be there. Friends first, very close ones, juuust lots of room for something deeper.

Plus who else could get away with picking Blinky up by the head except Vendel I mean really. He’d talk their ears off.

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I don’t think make it even more gay is unpopular tbh. Use them to give worldbuilding and troll relationship crumbs!

"This is stupid." Morando mumbles as he watches a kid walk away that had just complimented his "costume". You snicker in response keeping an eye on the redeemed villain and the kids. Seeing Aja knock on the door you glanced at Morando who looked around distatesfully. He honestly wasn't that bad but sometimes his pessimistic attitude could be a downer, thankfully he had you to balance out his more cynic moods.

"I thought you'd like the compliments. You seem like the type." You hum teasing him. He frowns but your smile makes him pause.

"... What does this holiday even mean?" He demands changing the subject and looking away as he crosses his arms. You hum kicking up the scattered leaves on the sidewalk. Aja and Krel had just gotten candy and although they wanted to run up to you to show it Steve and Eli dragged them to the next house instead.

"Halloween? Well It has many meanings. But those meanings can change depending on your culture or why you celebrate. There are many different origins for Halloween though the English version were doing now has only been around for maybe two hundred years? Compared to Sinigad which had been around two thousand. It used to be a lot different but I don't want to give you any ideas." You respond not very familar with the hoildays history but knowing some of its darker origins. He simply nods in response his four eyes watching the Royalty go from house to house in their true forms as their friends followed in their "uniforms".

He'd mocked the CreepSlayerz earlier but you'd made him stop as they were part of the reason he'd been defeated. They may be children but they deserved respect.

"... they seem happy..." He says softly ignoring Steve and Krel in favor of Krel and Aja. You smile watching the kids get the human sweets they santas. You know Val had grown up with them and that the King and Queen were once his dearest friends along with Vex. He regreted his actions and thankfully he was no longer the cruel man he'd once been even if he was still bitter.

You guess rehabilitation and reflection along with being humbled could do that to a man.

"They do enjoy human things I've learned. Aja especially. What about you? Are you enjoying yourself on this little outting?" You ask as you hand him a nougat nummy.

The smile on his face as he ripped off the wrapper with his fangs and began eating the chocolate told you everything you needed to know. As much as he hated to admit it he liked Urth and he adored the twins and maybe just maybe he loved you.

Walking down the street eating your candy the Royalty eventually ran up to you making you smile as they showed you their new human treasures. You hoped as they trick or treated you and Val could talk more.

Fic I’ll probably never write:

Douxie, offhandedly, mentions that Zoe is his ex-wife. Douxie means this in the sense that multiple times in the past, if they’d be living in the same town, they’d present themselves as being married since it was frowned upon for an unrelated man and woman to be living together, plus that way they could draw suspicion away from themselves since they didn’t age.

Steve takes it to mean “hey I should try to get Douxie a girlfriend” and he ropes a couple of their friends into this scheme.

He tells Krel about the plan, and Krel does not like it. As Steve continues to try to get Douxie a girlfriend, Krel comes to the realization that not only does he not like the idea of “you need to be in a romantic relationship to be happy”, he also does not like the idea of Douxie dating anyone, except he also finds himself wanting Douxie to be amenable to a romantic relationship. Just not with anyone Steve may try to set Douxie up with.

When Douxie finally finds out about the plan, he gives everyone involved an unimpressed look and asks them what he did to make them think he’s straight. Krel finally admits to himself that he wants to be the one dating Douxie.
