I ordered these frosted plastic cups to make some diy self-watering pots for some of my more finicky plants. I’m hoping they turn out how I imagine them to.

I’ll be sure to update as soon as possible on how this little project of mine goes. I was inspired by this instagram post. It’s kind of hard figuring out what cups will fit into what without it right in your face though. So I’m hoping these cups aren’t super tall. I measured some other cups I had so we’ll see how this turns out. I didn’t want to spend $16 on clear plastic cups from Amazon so instead I found some for $3 at a local store and I’m hoping they fit! They might be slightly too small though. 🥲

Dc x dp idea 16

The observant are done watching. They want to command the infinite realm. With the king sealed away they decide the time is now.

They discovered a way to twist the ancients. Doing so hitting both pandora and clockwork. Pandora now seeks to help free evil and wreak havoc. Clockwork is now actively trying to find the worst timelines to force to happen.

The observants didn’t get frostbite as Danny was figuring out his ice core. Which means now he had to deal with those two ancients as well as overgrowth. Maybe even vortex makes an appearance.

The observants game plan is to make all the powerful ghost look bad so they get locked away. The only one who can fix the personalities of the ancients is the king. Take out those powerful and no one can free pariah to defeat him.

Danny returns to amity to find time frozen. Danny the little thief he is stole three time medallions (clockwork let him). Pandora is preventing him from getting to sam and tucker releasing evil from her box.

Danny gets out of amity. Leaving Sam as overgrowths “daughter” his friends and family frozen then guarded by evil beings. He heads out human so they can’t track his ecto signature.

With two extra time medallions he sets out. He finds the justice league. Wonder Woman immediately wants to help. She wants to help free pandora. Superman also heads to amity to help out. Both have rigged up Spector deflectors so they can’t get overshadowed.

John is the one who figures out what caused the personality switches. Bad news the only person who can fix it is evil. Danny was ease-dropping (they had him making anti ghost weapons, Danny only made non lethal ones)

Danny being Danny leaves his time medallion and takes off to free pariah.

John and Batman follow the child. They try and stop him from summoning and freeing pariah. Danny is just like chill i sealed him up like 3 months ago I’m sure i can handle this.

No explanation he just transforms and frees pariah. John and Batman can’t do anything to the ghost king as Danny traps him and the king in an ice dome. No point risking others getting hurt.

Danny wins. Frees pandora and clockwork. Wonder Woman had managed to trap pandora (pandora was definitely fighting the spell and resisting as much as she could). Clockwork just knew it was gonna happen. The observants were silly to think he wouldn’t.

The justice league now monitor amity park for when the next earth destructive ghost escapes. Danny has been forced to take lessons. The first one is risk management and the importance of disclosing powers. It’s just a lecture made by Batman.

#hey like. not to be really annoying i shouldn't be doing this aged 32 but i'm really struggling #every time the weather gets cold i feel like i am entering winter with more and more despair #i am really struggling this time #every day is a struggle to get through #i'm losing my hair #i'm losing my reasons to live #i keep putting on a full face of makeup and clothes in my room at like 2am just to desperately try to feel human #i keep saying i don't know if I'll survive the winter and people keep laughing but I don't mean it as a joke #i'm sadder than i've ever been and everything feels like it's falling apart #whenever i get the chance to confide this in people i get told that i'm strong and i'm a survivor #and that i should do some shit to make me happy #and yea i can stave it all off for a few minutes with like a trip out or some makeup or something but it all feels like bandaids #for a serious wound that's going to go septic soon #like this isn't a way to live a life #i don't want to 'be strong' or a 'survivor' anymore i want to be fucking happy #i'm tired and promises of brief happiness between ever worsening pain feel almost patronizing at this point #i woke up the other day in the middle of the night and as soon as conscious thoughts hit my brain i almost doubled over #if i had been not on the first floor i think i might have jumped then and there #i want to be loved and feel like my love is worth something #i want a clean apartment of my own and a career that doesn't feel like it's designed to kill me #i'm 32 and still essentially feel like i'm living my life like a teenager #i want sun and suncatchers and healthy plants and a wardrobe that fits my clothes #and i want the will to actually get up in the morning #i endured all of this for so long on a delusional belief that things were going to magically get better #but i realize now they won't #i became aware of the bounds of my cage with no means of escaping them #i'm sick of living each day oscillating between numbness and grief i can barely eat i can barely work i can barely laugh #and no one's coming to save me #i'm agonized by the idea that this is maybe what life always is for everybody #is this how it's supposed to be

I messed around and ordered another anthurium hybrid seedling last night.

I also ordered some sphagnum moss and little nursery pots with domes.

Oh and I’m also considering investing in some SolTech grow lights for my monstera. Has anyone tried these lights before and if so were they worth the cost?

WAIT WAIT. do plants literally need love to survive???? Tesla died so quickly in part because she was neglected in her needs as a person -- did the twins only survive because Rem showed them that there was a place they COULD survive? Did Tesla's body just go "there's no place for me here" and shut down? The dependent plants only survive because people care for them and tend to their needs. Are independents the same, just with different needs?

#im having a lot of half-formed thoughts about how the plants 'know' 'how to be' a person/a part of something greater #they have a more powerful connection to symbiosis than humans do -- they KNOW they can't survive without community #humans can -- and often do -- lie to themselves that they don't need other people #but the plants KNOW that they wouldn't survive alone. and they know that humans wouldn't survive without them #the independents play a different role. they're able to see and understand humans' frequent need for self-reliance and they refute it #wait don't only the first couple tags show up in search #trigun maximum #trigun tesla #trigun #ok back to rant #independents are the mouthpiece of the plants -- their advocates #most symbiosis in nature works on a more fundamental level where such communication isn't necessary #but the humans' symbiosis with the plants operates on a higher level of consiousness #free will and sentience are essential elements of it. the humans' inventiveness and enduring will is needed for the survival of the plants #this is all just a bunch of loose post-its on the wall btw otherwise id jyst make a post about it lol #anyway thank you for your time i love yall

when they receive a shipment of a strange sentient fungi, they cultivate it inside a corpse of a recently murdered girl - who was the best friend/lover of their new housekeeper

as she grows and expands her desires they have to deal with their feelings about the potential monster they’ve created

#A Botanical Daughter #aroaessidhe 2024 reads #man I really wanted to like this but I kinda had to force myself to finish it.#really not a fan of the writing style which is very emotionally distant and full of a lot of telling not showing #it could have gotten weird and atmospheric with the writing style! we could have gotten sentient fungi POV! but no.#The characters were flat. the conceptually weird/creepy/horror aspects were executed in the most boring way #the relationship between the men is something we’re told exists but…. I don’t feel it. I don’t like them as characters.#They’re not even interesting enough to hate - or like it could have gone in the direction of embracing the unhinged murder couple vibes #they flip flop between angry arguments and making up and I’m like what is the point of that?? Honestly I didn’t feel any emotional connecti #it kinda feels like it doesn’t know whether it’s whimsical quirky-cozy vibes or like properly gothic horror #it’s somewhere in between & fails at both. it maybe suffers from trying to play into the popularity of coziness #the closest to weird we get is plant lesbian sex scene but also I laughed out loud when I read the line ‘hungry for her loam’#like…..these men essentially create this person then cut her off from the world and her biological desires; control her autonomy/ability #to speak and the conclusion is <3 what a weird little family <3 and not she should #escape and kill them and/or make them grapple with the fact they are at fault for this potential ecological disaster let loose on the world #there’s also weird colonialist lines scattered throughout that don’t feel super interrogated…
