I was just playing Bowser's Inside Story because it's a great game and I noticed something. After unlocking the body slam ability, Bowser heads off to try to find a star cure in Dimble Wood until he is informed that Mario and Luigi got to the Dimble Wood star cure first. He is also told about the locations of the remaining 2 star cures: Plack Beach and Bowser Castle. He is told about the one at his castle by Private Goomp. This means that, for all Bowser knows, Mario and Luigi would have no idea that there is a star cure in his castle. They would know about the one at Plack Beach because he was told about that one by Doctor Toadley's bird message which was also adressed to Mario and Luigi, meaning that they would also be informed. Bowser had the choice to go to Plack Beach to try beating them to the punch but, instead, chose to go to his castle. He planned to let them get to the star cure at Plack Beach. Why did he only want 1 cure? I don't think he thought his options through.

Morning delusion;

A little girl on her knees in pitch plack, her hands feeling a cold wet concrete floor, ‘floor… floor… floor.. floor’ nothing, only numbness, a crack of light appears before her hands, she continues to look down aimlessly, moments pass, her eyes look to the light before her hands. ‘is it real?’. she glances up, ‘blinding!!’, her eyes adjust, ‘its blue’, she raises her hand, its warm, the warmth spreads through her fingers, she closes her eyes. ‘They feel so light’. suddenly her entire self is warm too, her eyes snap open, a sphere of black glass triangles explode all around her, ‘a doam? Freeze!!’ tiny shards of glass now frozen above her, above that a stunning summer afternoon sky, she lowers her gaze to look forward seeing shes is surrounded by a orange flowered tall grass as tall as her, the glass evaporates as she comes to a gentle stand as she ages to a women, ‘knees weak’, she takes off running, ‘breath’, feeling for what feels like the first time, a vibrant warm static feels her entire being, she comes to sudden halt, closing her eyes, she remembers ‘a thousand lives lived before’. she falls back into the soft grass, lost in a focus of recalling any memory that feels kin to her awakened sensation, she begins building them in her mind, ‘a tall city, a soft orange dress, a sunny beach day, a warm bed with a big breakfast, a poetry class, a sketching class, a swimming class, cooking.. baking.. tending to her flowers, her children, her pets, her self, her love. Her eyes snap open, ‘oh yes I’m already living it’. She rushes out of bed and off to shower leaving the madness intwined in her pillow.

A New Friend!

Bowser Castle, Bowser Jr. Room

" Ah Man this is no fun at all"

The clacking sound of his controller could be heard throughout the room as Jr. threw it over his shoulder before falling onto his back, looking with board expression at the celling.

Everything had just been so boring lately for Jr. nothing fun or interesting happened for awhile now. No grand plans too take over the Mushroom Kingdom as Papa has been busy with other boring things ( To Junior Anyway) , no cool new videogames too play and the other cool ones that Jr. had needed a second player too fully enjoy. The Ai was no fun in those games and his care taker Kamek was way out of his element when it came too videogames. His collection of toys were fun but lost their luster after awhile with no one too share or play them with someone

Again Kamek was out of his element with this.

It's time like this he envied the kids of Toad Town, sure he had everything he could ever want thanks too Papa but with no one too share these things with who could enjoy them like he could. It made them boring after awhile and Jr. well he wishes he had a friend who enjoyed these things like he did.

After a few minutes of starring at the celling Jr. got bored of that too and decided too wander about the Castle too see if he could find anything interesting.

Everything was boring as usual as far as Jr. could see. The only note worthy thing was a batch of cookies that were made in the kitchen that Jr. decided too help himself too. Jr. continued towards the upper levels of the Castle were eventually he just ended up gazing outside towards Plack Beach on the Castle Balcony.

Jr.: How did it manage too get so boring around here? I wish something cool would happen or I could make a really cool friend. We could go on awesome adventures together, eat a whole bunch o cookies, explore awesome lands together, and kick butt together. Ya that would be awesome! Grrrr Why can't there be someone like that.

Jr. just looked out towards the sky with a bored expression trying too think of what too do next.

That is when the world decided too give the the young Koopa Monarch something or someone that would change a lot of things in the future. Quite far away from the Castle in the skies caught Jr. attention, a weird glowly rift thing. This immediately caused Jr. too focus in on the rift and when he did he caught something falling out of a rift.

Jr.: Whoa! Now that's what I am talki' about world! Something interesting has finally happened.

A huge grin started too adorn the young Koopa as his mind was already made up on what he was going too do next. Jr. bolted down the stairs too his room and quickly grabbed his signature Paintbrush and satchel filled with adventuring items before speeding off towards the Airship Hanger. Quickly entering the Hanger he made his way too were his Junior Clown Car was stationed.

Normally the walk towards the Castle towards Plack Beach would take quite awhile on foot, but by his Clown Car it would take no time flat.

Jr.: Plack Beach here I come!

Just as Junior thought he got too Plack Beach in no time flat and what he found at the location were the rift appeared over he found something or well someone that surprised him.

What fell out of the strange rift in the sky was a kid who looked to be about the same age as him. The kid was short, had some funky fashion, and was currently unconscious.

Another thing that surprised Junior that it appeared that the kid was human just like those stupid Mario. Bros and Princess Peach. Now that is rare their were not a lot of humans around here save for the aforementioned Mario Bros. and Princess Peach. Their was also Princess Daisy and the Wario. Bros but beside them humans were actually rare too come across.

Though known of that mattered now, Jr. needed too get this one back too the Castle so they could get all patched up and maybe become that friend he had been wanting for awhile

I can only imagine the curious looks when Jr comes back with a young human. Bet you that Kamek tells Bowser about it. Considering how many friends and rivals they have whose parents are antagonistic, Trainer would be chill with the whole thing.

Something Jr is very delighted about as it's going to come up either way. It's even funnier when Bowser appears and Trainer is so nonchalant at the Koopa King's appearance. They seen a lot of crazy things thus the big fire breathing isn't scary to them.

YES... He usually brags about how kind and caring I am, and that I'm a magical genius - like him! XD He also throws in that I'm beautiful as well! Oh! He was quite shocked that a human could actually learn Koopa magic! But then he became quite proud of me after teaching me! I already knew magic existed in the mario universe, so I thought I was prepared to see him using his spells, but... They were much more breathtaking than I expected! :o

“Please, no more,” you begged your captors. It took ten of them to take you down which was surprising given your age. It didn’t help that they had vervain at their disposal which is why they were able to take you, a 30-year-old vampire, down. Being new to the life came at a disadvantage to you especially when you didn't have anyone to help show you the ropes. The only reason why you were a vampire was because someone took too much of your blood, fed you to heal you, not knowing that what they took was deadly. You died shortly with their blood in your system, so it’s safe to say you were freaked out when you woke up.

It took some time getting used to the fact that you now drank human blood, couldn’t go out in the sun, and that wood can kill you. Well, anyone who gets impaled in their heart will die, wood or not. However, you learned the hard way that you could have metal stashed in your heart and still live, so there’s that.

The world was at a place where vampire hunters was a big thing. They roamed the Earth in packs much like werewolves. They searched and hunted the bloodsuckers, and it was your mistake that got them on your trail. No matter how many times you moved or where you moved to, they would be right there behind you to get you. It took them a while to finally catch up to you, but when they did, they were prepared.

“Tell us how many more there are of you,” one of the older men demanded to know.

“I don’t know! I don’t know if there are any more!” you answered for the fifth time. They never accepted that answer, and you were in too much pain to lie to them.

“Liar!” he growled before pulling on the rope that opened the skylight. Sunlight poured in the dark room, and as soon as it hit your skin, it started bubbling. Screaming out in pain, you tried to get away, but they had you tied to the chair tightly. They also had vervain pumping into the room through the air vents to keep you sedated while they questioned you.

“Please stop!!” you yelled in pain. Your skin sizzled and burned at the contact of sunlight, and they would use this against you for however long it would take until you gave them the answer they were looking for. The only problem was that you didn't know what kind of answer they wanted otherwise you would have given it to them by now.

“Tell us how many of you are out there!” he yelled.

“I don’t know!!” you screamed as the pain grew more intense. Right before your skin could catch fire, they closed the hatch. Groaning in pain, you could feel your wounds healing since the vampire blood in you did that.

“I don’t know,” you cried softly.

“Come on! The beach is right across the street! You’ve been held up in this house for the whole week! We never see you anymore!” one of your good friends, Sam, said from your front door. She had opened it all the way, letting in the stream of sunlight into your darkened home. Ever since you had been tortured a hundred years ago, you had not once gone out in the sun in fear you would die. They had ruined it for you, and you didn't know how to live without the fear of the sun.

“No, I can’t. I started throwing up these last few days. I think I’m sick,” you coughed to try to make your story seem true. Leaning against your staircase, you made sure to stay out of the light’s way.

“Fine. We’ll check up on you later today, okay?”

“How about tonight? After the sun has gone down. Maybe I’ll feel better then.”

“Yeah, maybe,” she shrugged before she closed the door. When you knew the sun wasn’t going to threaten your life, you walked to the door with a sigh. It was hard to make friends because you couldn’t go out in the day time. Every few years you had to move towns or states because your friends stopped being friends with you. There was no life for you if you couldn’t get over your fear of the sun or find a solution to your situation. There had to be vampires out there that had something to protect them against the sun, and you were going to find it.

The town of Mystic Falls was quite the strange one. Everyone gave you weird vibes, but you had no other place to go right now. The sun was coming up, and you needed to find a place to stay for the day before you can lave and properly find some safe place. The only house in view was a brick mansion. The Salvatore Boarding House is what the plack said at the gate. Rushing up the path, you knocked on the door, hoping that whoever answered would let you in.

“Can I help you?” a man with raven dark hair and icy blue eyes asked when he opened the door.

“Hi, are there rooms for rent here? I saw it was a boarding house,” you asked quickly. The sun would be up at any moment.

“I’m sorry, that’s been out of business for almost a century.”

“Shit,” you muttered, hoping that the stranger didn't hear.

“Where is the closest motel or hotel?” you asked as you bit your lower lip nervously.

“A few hours north of here,” he replied. Panic surged through your veins because there was no way you would make it in time. The sun was coming up fast, and you either needed to push your way inside or die. The sunlight was coming up the pavement quickly, and just as it was about to touch you, you used your vampire speed and rushed inside. If your heart could beat, it would be erratic.

“Okay, never pegged you for a vampire,” the stranger said as he closed the door. “What’s your name?”

“Y/N. Are you one?”

“Yep, and so is my brother who lives here as well.”

“The light doesn’t bother you?” you asked with a confused look.

“Nope. Got one of these bad boys,” he grinned as he held up his hand with a peculiar ring on it.

“What does that do?”

“It protects me from the sun. I’m assuming by the way you rushed in here that you don’t have one.”

“Where can I get one?” you asked, finally feeling that hope you had since the day your former friend asked you to go to the beach. That had been 50 years ago, but you never gave up hope.

“Whoa, we don’t pass them out just to anyone. You’re welcome to stay here for the day. Pick a bedroom that you like. The one on the far right is mine and the far left is Stefan’s. Don’t go in them,” he said as he walked off.

“Thank you?” you said, posing it as a question. How would you go about getting this so-called ring that protects you from the sun? Did that mean having one would make your fear of the sun go away? You really wanted to find out.

“Here,” Damon said as he passed you the ring that one of his witch friends made. Shakily taking the ring, you slid it over your right middle finger. It was a perfect fit, and it looked so delicate which was more your style.

“Does it work?” you asked. Damon had been letting you stay for a few months now. You two had grown exceptionally close, especially when you told him what had happened to you when you first became a vampire. He was quick to inform you that vampire hunters weren't a thing anymore, that you would be safe in this town. There were a lot more vampires here than anywhere else you’ve been over the years. Not just vampires, witches, werewolves, hybrids, Originals, and much more. There had been so much you were missing out on all because of your stupid fear. Damo thought it was time that you finally got a daylight ring that Bonnie so graciously made for you. In the time you spent in this small town, you’ve made friends with almost all of Damon’s. It was welcoming to find other vampires who knew of your problems and understood them.

“Why don’t you find out?” he asked as he opened his front door. Taking a deep breath, you stared at the sunlight hitting the plants outside. If your heart could beat, it would be racing a mile a minute.

“I don’t know. What if it doesn’t work?” you asked with wide eyes. The pain you felt during those years came rushing back, and you were fearful of it happening again.

“Do you trust me?” he asked as he held his hand out. Weirdly, you did. Without saying a word, you hesitantly placed your palm in his, and let him tug you to the front door. He could tell you were reluctant, but he would be with you every step of the way. His feelings for you had grown since he met you, and the thought of you in pain broke his heart--if it could break.

Upon reaching the door, you took a shaky breath before stepping on the concrete. The minute sunlight touched your ski, you expected your skin to sizzle and burn like it had been for the past 180 years. However, your skin remained intact as you allowed yourself to face your fear. Damon took you all the way out into the sun, and he loved the smile your face bared when you realized you were going to be okay.

“This is amazing,” you whispered as tears sprung to your eyes. Turning to Damon, you jumped into his arms and nuzzled your face in the crook of his neck. “Thank you so much.”

“You’re welcome,” he whispered as he held you tightly against him. This had been the greatest gift anyone could ever give you because now you truly had nothing left to fear.

Bowser Jr.’s Journey Observations (Part 2)

Wasn’t sure if anybody was reading this but here’s part 2.

- Lemmy’s been subdued by Longchin McCrayonfingers, but is left alone as Wendy and Larry show up. They get caught in barrels shortly after though.

- Morton, Kamek and Bowser Jr. arrive at the outskirts of Bowser’s Castle... where the castle is missing (prior to this, there were a few minor/indirect references to the main plot, but this might be the first major one), meaning that it’s currently crushing Bowser.

- Bowser’s Castle Outskirts part 2 happens

- The trio eventually reach the cold storage where the Shroobs are. Junior gains the ice after defeating several of the Shroobs.

- The group then runs into and Madame Broque. She’s apparently familiar with both Kamek and Bowser. The group “fights” (a guess, but given the nature of her other encounters...) her. It’s one round, just her, but she can slam enemies into Bowser Jr./your first officer and she can summon scuttles to help her. After beating her... something happens, that requires Kamek and Junior to stand outside (and causes explosions). When they come back in, Madame Broque gives them the final ingredient.

- The blue member of the SS Trio appears and takes the ingredients and makes a Blorb cure. However, Longchin also brought some sort of frog. They combine it with the cure to create a corrupted version of the cure and force-feed it to Morton.

- Morton is brainwashed into serving Fawful. Bowser Jr. attempts to attack the duo, only to get beaten back by Morton (as seen in the trailer). Morton then throws Junior into the ocean.

- Junior wakes up on Plack Beach where Kamek finds him. Kamek talks to him a bit but whatever he says (again, Japanese) doesn’t seem to go through. He leaves (to find Junior a snack?)

- At this point, Junior remembers a drumstick that Morton gave him as they were leaving Bowser’s Castle (this doesn’t come out of nowhere: that scene was early in the game, but I forgot to mention it) and is about to eat it...

- But then, we get flashbacks of Junior’s interactions with the Koopalings (mostly his bad behavior towards them), ending with a flashback of Morton giving him the drumstick. Tears can be seen falling from his face as he eats the drumstick. Kamek sees this and decides to leave him alone, only to be attacked by enemies at the start of the next stage (as a sidenote, the “ending” theme on as labeled on Youtube actually plays here, it’s a musicbox version of Bowser Jr.’s theme).

- Afterwards, Junior apparently resolves to find the Koopalings, despite them possibly being anywhere in the Mushroom Kingdom.

- At this point, Blue and Longchin pass out cures throughout Bowser’s Castle, which empowers certain minions with a dark aura (just like with Morton).

- Kamek and Junior find Iggy at Kuzzle’s shack, Iggy having washed up Plack Beach after being shoved by the SS Trio. However, he lost his memory after that fall, which lead to Kuzzle taking him in (Sidenote: Just what is the time-frame for the events in this game? Is it all just one day?). Kuzzle does apparently allow Bowser Jr. and Kamek to challenge Iggy with the intent on getting him back, and afterwards Iggy regains his memory and rejoins the party.

- Next, the Koopa Troop heads back to Dimple Woods to find Ludwig, only to get jumped by Blue, who brought the Absolute Unit this time, Mucio/Muchio (the only one who’s name I actually know at this point in time) and attempts to fight them.

- However, Mucio acts weirdly...

- ...And turns out to actually be Ludwig in disguise.

- Ludwig reveals that he apparently went back to the castle and ran into Mucio. The confrontation ends with Mucio sending Ludwig into the lava, only for Ludwig to suddenly reappear (Doppleganger? He survived the lava?) and shove Mucio in instead.

- He then leaves Mucio in the Bob-Omb storage. The same one Bowser falls into right before his “explosive” exit from his castle...

- Blue, outright furious, attacks the group but they come out on top. She leaves, Junior and Ludwig talk (I really wish I knew what they were saying there) and Ludwig rejoins the party afterward.

- Junior has a skill (possibly “Snacktime” based on english screens) where he uses a remote control to summon the Junior Clown Car and have it drop candy which heals his units. This is the first time the Clown Car is seen with its boxing attachments in Mario & Luigi (even in this game, Junior usually uses it to ram stuff).

- Bowser Jr. also has a skill while in his clown car where he calls a a bunch of Shy-Guy Airtubs to do an air raid.

- Ludwig has a skill where he goes up to an enemy and coerces them into leaving the battle. He does this via a series of rapid-fire arguments/offers (I really want to see this translated).

- Blue’s skills apparently revolve around singing and screams, based on her boss fight.

That’s that for Round 2. If you’re reading these, then thank you for your interest and patience. Now wait for the other parts and when the english release comes out where I inevitably got things wrong.

you know what’s funny niko?

in M&L:BIS, one of the first areas is plack beach, where bowser fights these tootheys and chuboombas. there are also drillbit crabs that bowser can easily kick aside in the overworld for a bit of money.

by the time mario and luigi reach that area, they can dispatch the tootheys and chuboombas with ease. but the drillbit crabs actually put a fight against the brothers!

how the tables have turned... or should i say, that’s video game logic for you.
