Okay, so I made a brief post about this before, but I think its a crime that a Tales of Arcadia x Percy Jackson crossover hasn’t been made yet. I was just doodling on my math notes when I started drawing Percy Jackson in the Daylight Armor, so I tried it on my computer. 

Please keep in mind that I’m using my chromebook, on Autobook Sketchbook (which is TERRIBLE) and with my finger lmao, which is kinda why this is so funky and wonky. 

ANYWAY, I made Daylight into Riptide, and I added gold accents to Percy’s armor instead of dark blue and made them a little more - wave-like. 

This is my first time drawing armor, or anything like this - so please keep in mind what I already said be nice lol.

6. what’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

it may be a tie between in the same sun (ml; adrinette) and bread and oranges (ml: emilie/nathalie)? i normally go for tidy, wrapped up fluffy endings because that's what i like to see, but these are the two fics that i just let myself. not wrap up? like. they end, but there's no ending and that's on purpose, and they could be hopeful but they could also be very sad. and maybe that's angst

7. what’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

oh god i don't know. you could honestly take your pick from the majority of my one shots and 'happiest' is of course subjective but i'll go with: lucky to be yours (ml; adrinette), the shades of reassimilation (pjo; solangelo), and doomed from the start (tma; jonmartin)

not usually. a ml x undertale au.

9. have you ever received hate on a fic?

not really? i mean ive gotten annoying stuff like people giving me criticisms i didn't ask for or people saying "i normally don't like stuff like x and it's still weird but congrats for pulling it off!" but not hate which is pretty cool

a while ago someone asked if they could translate bone tea in russian i think and i said yes but i never heard from them again. so who knows!

one time maryssa said i write very nostalgic and i have since taken that to my head. i think if im in the right headspace i can do dialogue very well too

17. what’s your writing weaknesses?

i don't really like describing environments unless i think it's A Metaphor which means that most of the time my works take place in the bare abstract of places to someone who doesn't share the same brain as me. also: kisses. every time i write them i feel like im being very cliché and therefore try my best to write them as little as possible

18. what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in fic?

i don't really do it unless it's a specific term of endearment (ex. alya calling marinette mignonette which is a personal favorite of mine/the obligatory lovesquare chaton/ adrinette calling each other ma moité in bt) or a little signifier to show a character is speaking a language other than the main language of the fic (eiji saying moshi moshi in hes&osm) because i don't know other languages and therefore am terrified of sounding stupid in another language. also when fics write in prolonged periods of language-other-than-english for seemingly no reason it really breaks my immersion so i try not to do that

19. what was the first fandom you wrote for?

percy jackson. unless you count the harry potter au i wrote when i was 7

20. what’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

6. what’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? uh. it's gotta be one of my old 0uat fics bc i don't usually like to write angsty endings anymore skdgfdj i'm not sure i want to link to any specific oneshot but if you're curious you can look back through my ao3 ig there's also looked me in the eye and told me you would never go away but that's part of a series so the entire coherent story doesn't end angstily lol

7. do you write crossovers? if so what is the craziest one you’ve written? i don't really anymore but oh boy. the craziest one i've ever written? one of my friends and i started writing a fic back when we were like ten and we literally called it The Megacrossover (the mega for short) bc we just. shoved as many fandoms as we could in that thing. it started out just being a pjo / hp / thg crossover where the characters got reaped for a hunger games based on their cabin at camp half-blood but then we ended up including doctor who and 0uat in the plot to get everyone out of the arena, and then we brought in olaf for some reason (?) and we also had plans to bring in characters from divergent and the maze runner but unfortunately we never finished. anyway. long live the mega. it's still in a binder on my bedroom floor at home

8. have you ever received hate on a fic? yeah but not recently. my favorite was someone hate commenting on chapter eleven of a doctor who fic i posted on ff.net that i wrote when i was like 13-14. and when i called them out in the author's note of the next chapter, saying "if you don't like you don't have to read" they commented again and said something like "well obviously you don't know if you don't like it until you start reading, stupid" like yeah bro but. eleven chapters? if it took you that long to realize you didn't like it, that's sounds like a you problem

15. what are your writing strengths? i'm so bad at questions like this. i don't know?? sometimes i write and i like everything about what i'm writing and sometimes i write and i hate it all. i guess dialogue ? sure

16. what are your writing weaknesses? action scenes. describing the physical details of the setting. sometimes (see: a lot of times) i write sentences so long and convoluted that they make sense to no one other than me.

17. what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? gonna be honest i really haven't seen that much of this? like i think it's cool when it comes up bc i love other languages! but i also always worry i'm going to be mistranslating something whenever i do it skdhjgfd also if you're going to be doing a lot of it, i feel like you should probably include a translation somewhere so people know what's going on without having to like. switch back and forth between the fic and google translate or smth

19. what’s your favorite fic you’ve written? it's probably gotta be this ultraviolet morning light (which is now on the second page of my fics what the heck???) tuvml is my baby and the longest fic i've finished to date and i still think about how rising sun verse zuko and sokka are doing quite often. i've also still got a couple half-finished fics for that universe and a longer sequel i'd love to publish someday but i've been. distracted by other fics

I used to respond to them all, but then I felt guilty for responding to comments on fics that I haven’t updated in years. I do appreciate those comments and intend to respond to them all... eventually...

It’s a Soft Decay can’t qualify since I fully intend on adding more to it, so I think it’s Chrysalis! That poor kid...

I’ve written a couple! what you’ve kept hidden (I've always known) and The Chosen Ones are both Trollhunters/Miraculous Ladybug crossovers where the characters interact, while Transformative is PJO characters in a world with ML elements.

8) Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I had to delete some very nasty comments on Sticks and Stones, which was funny to me since they all appeared to be critiques of Civil War and had literally nothing to do with the content of my fic.

9) Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes I have! The lovely @symphony-in-a and I collaborated on She Blinded Me With Science which was a great deal of fun.

13) What’s your all-time favourite ship?

This is going to come out of left field, but my all time favourite ship is Razaya from Green Lantern the Animated Series. There’s no content but I think about them every day and they were the first ship that brought me physical pain.

14) What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I’ve got this one Strange Magic fic that takes place in the School for Good and Evil and it’s honestly such a great concept. I love the characters and relationships and the plot, but it’s also incredibly ambitious and I’m not sure I can pull it off.

15) What are your writing strengths?

I’m really great at writing conflict and angst, especially internal character conflict. And I’m also very happy with some of my prose and descriptions.

16) What are your writing weaknesses?

Writing endings! Now that I’ve got all this lovely conflict how on earth can I resolve it and have a satisfying conclusion?

17) What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?

I only know English so I don’t, and whenever I see it I have to use Google Translate. But I think language can be a really good way to show characterization, and it kills me whenever bilingual characters switch to their “home” language when they’re speaking to their close family or friends...

Published, DC! Unpublished, ED Baker’s Frog Princess series.

I’m really proud of everything I’ve written, but one of my favourites is A Serendipitous Sea. It was going to be a simple Percabeth mermaid au but then I got caught in thinking about the language barrier between merpeople and humans... Some fantastic worldbuilding went into that story if I do say so myself.

My Giant PJO AU Crossover

Okay so I hinted a while ago - before my big hiatus - that I had a big Percy Jackson AU planned for my Hiccup/Hiro/Varian trio. Well, it's turned into a LOT more than that. In fact, it turned into a big crossover between BH6, HTTYD, Tangled, and Tales of Arcadia. So. Yeah.

I'm gonna go over it here! It'll be long so uh. Brace yourself

OVERVIEW

So the AU itself is meant to be more of a low-stakes. It's meant to be a universe of Camp Half Blood where nothing bad happens and nothing went wrong, separate from PJO. The PJO timeline doesn't really have any effect on this AU. I have a whole story planned out - no real timeline yet as I haven't started outlining but let me give you an idea of the past and present of the AU

Basically it starts with Jim from Tales of Arcadia coming to camp. He gets brought by his friend Toby, who's a half-blood as well and has been looking out for him as he noticed that Jim is likely a half-blood as well. He saves him from monsters, and after a talk with Jim's mom brings him to camp. This is more about drama within camp than any external threats - as half-bloods tend to have parental issues and conflict between a bunch of demigod teenagers is bound to happen This AU focuses on the conflict between two particular groups - (read more for the incredibly long details)

THE GOLDEN TRIO (Group name pending)

The Golden Trio is a group comprised of Jim Lake Jr, Tobias "Toby" Domzalski, and Claire Nuñez from the Tales of Arcadia series. Jim is still fairly new to camp, but Toby and Claire are fairly well-known, and even popular. So being in with them kind of causes him to almost instantly be well-liked in camp.

MEMBERS

Jim Lake Jr - Son of Apollo

Jim being a son of Apollo was kind of a no-brainer for me. Anyone who knows his lore should get why I did it - "For the Glory of Merlin, Daylight is Mine to Command" anyone?

Anyway, in this universe, Jim is a demigod raised by a single mom. Barbara, his mother, tried to marry in order to give him a father figure, but said dad kind of up and left. He was named for the man so that others assumed he was Jim's father. In this universe, Jim was left the amulet he's known for as a gift from his father. It's more a proper pendant than what we're used to, just think of it as Jim's equivalent to Percy's Riptide. It turns into his sword, blessed with the power of the sun! He was claimed rather quickly, as you'd expect since he was left a gift from his dad so young. Naturally, his primary skill is in swordplay. He does have some skill in archery as a son of Apollo, as well, but he's far from the best. He does, however, have the rare ability to control light given to some Apollo kids.

Tobias Domzalski - Son of Dionysus

In this universe, Toby gets to be the one to bring Jim into the new magical world! He realized he was a half-blood a year or so before Jim, and was brought to camp by a satyr. His mom died when he was young, and he lives with his grandma, the same as in canon. His grandma had no idea about the whole "Demigod" thing. I still don't know if she realizes or not, as she's rather old and eccentric - ToA fans get it. She just knows he goes to camp with his friend every summer. I wasn't sure where to put Toby at first. I settled on Dionysus because he simply seems to have the disposition. Energetic, fun loving, a party kid as it were. As for Dionysus kid powers - the one Toby uses most often would be control over the growth of vegetation. He also has his hammer - likely smithed by one of Hephaestus' kids. He uses his natural ability with cats to help keep his nana's cats under control at home as well! Being a son of Dionysus is very useful for him in that sense.

Claire Nuñez - Daughter of Hecate

So yeah, since Hecate kids have the actual ability to cast magic - Claire's godly parent was another one of those "ah, it's this one" instant decisions. It just works.

Of the Golden Trio, Claire's been at Camp Half Blood the longest. I find it funny I kind of went in reverse order of who gets involved with the magical shenanigans in ToA. As far as background. Claire lives with her dad and stepmom. Her stepmother is a bit more accepting of the whole demigod thing than some stepparents - but it does cause her to push Claire to succeed quite a lot. It's a struggle all its own, in a way, especially since she's expected to help look after her little brother Enrique when she's not at camp. Naturally, she has the spellcasting ability given to children of Hecate. On top of that, she has the ability to manipulate and control darkness. Her and Jim are quite the team with their demigod abilities. She doesn't really have much skill with weapons - but she still packs a punch. DYNAMIC

The group comes together pretty quickly after Jim comes to camp. Claire and Toby had already started talking and becoming friends due to both being from Arcadia. Toby was determined to put in a good word for Jim after finding out Claire was a demigod as well. As stated, Toby was the one who brought Jim to camp after saving him from a monster attack. The two have always been thick as thieves, but they started getting even more close after figuring out they were both demigods. Toby introduced him to Claire after coming to camp, and the short period Jim was in the Hermes cabin was spent trying to talk to Claire and getting her help adjusting to camp. Before long the three of them were just kind of hanging out all the time. Their dynamic is mostly the same as in the show afterwards.

THE TERRIBLE TRIO

The terrible trio consists of Hiccup (HTTYD), Hiro(BH6), and Varian(TTS), and doesn't exactly have the best reputation - as you can probably imagine with their name. They're kind of the camp bullies in a way. They're known for having bad attitudes and wreaking havoc for anyone who gets on their bad side.

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock - Son of Hephaestus

So, Hiccup is known for liking to make things, craft things. He's something of a blacksmith himself in his source material - so Hephaestus might be an expected, but natural choice.

Hiccup is generally seen as the most mild member of the terrible trio. On his own, most people like him, and he's rather agreeable. He's friendly and there are plenty of people who like him. However, when he's with Hiro and Varian, he's very defensive and protective of the two. He lives with his mom, Valka, and step-dad, Stoick. He's always been a bit of an awkward kid who's loved building and engineering things. He caused his parents no end of stress, but all in all they both love him very much - Stoick still very much sees him as if he was his own son.

Hiccup of course has the natural skill with crafting and engineering that comes with the Hephaestus territory. He crafted magic weapons for each of the terrible trio to use for training and in case they run into monsters outside of camp, though it took some convincing for the staff to allow it. His is a sword and shield that disguises itself as a set of rings on his fingers until twisted clockwise. He also has power over magnetism (which irritates Hiro, a scientist who specializes in magnetism and wants Hiccup's powers).

Hiro Hamada - Son of Athena

Yeah, this is another obvious choice. If there's a Percy Jackson AU involving BH6, Hiro's almost always a son of Athena. And why not? It's a perfect fit, with his intelligence, knack for planning and strategy, and inventing and tinkering skills. Hiro... Has some issues. Of course, he's still a part of Big Hero 6 AND a college student, so he can't stay at camp year round, but he looks forward to every summer. That said, in this universe, Tadashi never died which leads to the aforementioned issues. Hiro always manages to be in Tadashi's shadow. Tadashi is also a son of Athena, they're brothers in the truest sense (a rare occurrence in camp half-blood). Hiro feels that he's constantly compared to his brother, both in school and at camp, especially due to his more mischievous temperament. He tends to vent his frustrations through his outbursts at camp, even if it worsens his reputation. The campers often refer to he and Tadashi as the little monster and true hero of the camp. Hiro rather likes to brag that he got the lions' share of the natural intelligence that his mother gave her kids due to his status as a "boy genius". His natural crafting skill causes him to help Hiccup in the forge from time to time, but typically he just fiddles with robotics or electronic projects for school when he has free time. The weapon Hiccup created for him is a dagger that disguises itself as a locket, which transforms itself when the "locket" is opened.

Varian Quinn - Son of Nemesis

Quick disclaimer - Varian doesn't have a surname, so I gave him the name "Quinn". On to the actual input. So, the god for Varian. A lot of people will put him in Athena or Hephaestus, or other such cabins, but I think Nemesis is the perfect godly parent for Varian. Nemesis is the goddess of Vengeance, Justice, Retribution, and Balance. She's all about putting wrongdoers in their place, and her kids tend to hold grudges. It seems rather on the nose to me. That said, Varian has the worst reputation of the terrible trio. He lives alone with his dad, as his mother got caught in an accident. Even before coming to camp half-blood, he was rather known for being something of a jinx in his home town since bad things often happened to people who crossed him. He got into an argument with his dad one day which caused him to accidentally use his powers to "curse" his father with bad luck and got him into an accident. His dad was hospitalized and has been in a coma since. This caused conflict with some of his friends later as well, and over time his "curses" tend to cause campers to steer clear of him. Varian has a natural ability to manipulate the luck of others around him. As a son of Nemesis, that usually manifests as the ability to take the luck from those who insult him or cause issues and "curse" them with bad luck - though he doesn't have full control of his powers at first which can cause him to harm others without meaning to. The weapon Hiccup made for him is a bow with the ability to shoot unlimited magic arrows, which transforms into a set of goggles that transform at the push of a button. He's an amazing archer - one of the best at camp, even over most Apollo kids. DYNAMIC They're dating - that's it. In all seriousness - the friendship between these three started with Hiro and Varian. At first they were called the "two terrors of camp half blood". They clicked fairly quickly due to understanding each other's issues, and became fast friends. Hiccup joined in later - the trio were made to work together during a Capture the Flag game, and while Hiccup was scared of teaming up with the two terrors at first, their clever minds clicked pretty quickly. After that, Hiccup tried to reach out to the two of them to help them mend their relationships with the camp, but they weren't interested. The three of them became friends, and Hiccup took to protecting the two from being bothered as much as possible. They were pining for a while so it didn't take long for the three to just start dating each other. Since then the trio were almost always together, whenever Hiccup and Hiro came back in the summer. When Varian's alone during the year he's an absolute TERROR when not allowed to keep to himself. He just misses the two people that actually understand him. SOME MORE DETAILS

So I wanted to talk more about some of the minor characters - but this post is really long so I'm just going to go over some details of what amount of plotline I have for this here. Mabye I'll discuss the minor characters later in another post. Here's a basic overview of the story that I have planned - So basically Toby saves Jim, brings Jim into camp. During his brief time in the Hermes cabin, he takes the chance to talk to Claire. However, he also winds up accidentally offending Varian, and hence becoming a new target for the Terrible Trio's (more specifically Varian's) outbursts. It causes conflict and tension between the two groups. The idea is character growth for everyone as the groups conflict with each other, and eventually reconcile and become friends - helping the reputation of the terrible trio as well, as they learn to let go of their vindictive natures and stop lashing out (though, Varian IS a son of Nemesis so he still has his issues. Hiccup helps keep him in line - Hiro encourages him, the little gremlin).

Douxie spit more water out of his mouth, wrung his hair out, and got to his feet. "I know, it's one of my many charms."

"It's not that charming." Percy informed him. He helped Nico up, regarding the wizard cautiously. "I can't believe Carter married you."

Douxie smiled. "Carter's just as insane as I am, he's just better at hiding it."

Carter flicked the blood off his khopesh, brows set with worry. "That shouldn't have happened."

Meanwhile, Douxie continued to hack his guts up, bracing himself against the tree, coughing and heaving black liquid from his lungs. Steve was sat diligently next to him, rubbing his back.

"Certainly not." Archie angrily told the magician. "Tell me Carter, why is it that whenever we get involved with your lot, Douxie nearly dies?"

Carter opened and closed his mouth. Then shrugged helplessly. "I don't have all the answers, Archie. I wish I did."

Archie harumphed and turned back to his familiar. "Are you alright, Douxie?"

"Peachy," Douxie muttered, still pale and shaking from the forced possession. "I'll be fine. Don't take your venom out on them, Arch."

"We're all in the same boat here," Jim said quietly. He still looked disturbed and angry, but he was keeping it contained. The emerald in his circlet flashed brightly. "Just trying to survive."

"Yeah," Carter said quietly. He turned away, looking at his sister. They had a silent conversation with their eyes.

Sadie nodded and pulled a scroll out of her bag. "You good to get a move on, Doux?"

"Five minutes." Douxie rasped.

"Magnus! Shield!" Alex shouted, kicking away the body of the telekhine she'd just decapitated.

Magnus jumped away from his own fight, leaving the rest to Annabeth. The rune dangling from the leather braided bracelet on his right wrist began to glow. A shield sprang to life from it, shimmering gold and semi-transparent. Magnus dropped to one knee, holding the shield at an angle as Alex ran towards him.

She jumped, landing on the shield with practiced precision. As soon as her feet connected with the shield, Magnus thrust his arm upward, using his strength to toss her skyward.

Alex vaulted towards the stalkling, landing on it's back. It screeched unhappily and thrashed in the sky, trying to shake her off. Alex held on tight, looping her garrote wire around it's neck. With a snap she pulled the wire taught and the stalkling's head popped clean off. As it fell towards the ground, Alex vaulted off it's body, rolling on instinct and popping up unscathed.

She looked over at Magnus with a grin. "That was fun!"

Magnus couldn't help his smile as he swung his sword, taking off a ground troll's right arm. "I love you, you little maniac!"

Annabeth stared at her cousin for a moment. She glanced at Percy. "I'm concerned."

Percy grinned at her, smacking Riptide's hilt into a wolf's nose. "Hey, let them do their battle couple thing. It's adorable."

Claire studied the teens. They certainly didn't look dead. They looked... boringly normal.

The blond one was lean and tall. He wore a green hoodie and regular blue jeans with black converse. A stone pendant hung around his neck. The only thing that tipped her off was the viking shield slung across his back like he was going for a Thor and Captain America fusion cosplay. Well, it was the shield and his eyes. They were stormy gray, sharp and calculating. They had a haunted look, like he'd seen too much. She recognized that look every time she saw her face in the mirror. He was also tense, like he was ready to spring into action at a moments notice.

The shorter teen was harder to figure out. With her tan skin, and mismatched eyes, the girl looked like mischief personified. She had a green and pink sweater vest over a white t-shirt, rose pink skinny jeans, and green and pink high tops. Her hair was short and curled slightly, dark brown peaking out at the roots of her hair. The rest of her head was dyed green, aside from a single strand at the front of her head that was dyed a bright pink. She was definitely a fashion icon. Gold pottery garrote wires wrapped around her waist and Claire could only wonder why that particular oddity amongst the rest of the weirdness that was this girl's wardrobe.

"Magnus Chase, I assume." Douxie asked, his voice uneasy and weary. He obviously was still recovering from the run-in with the giants.

Meg hid behind Douxie, staring at the two teens with wide eyes. "Chase? As in Amnabeth Chase?"

The boy tipped his head to the side, putting a hand on his hip in a curious stance. He was trying to play off a relaxed look, but Claire could see him studying them, his eyes flitting from person to person with terrifying intelligence. He was running the numbers in his head. He was trying to calculate their odds against the group if any of them attacked.

"That's me. Annabeth is my cousin." He said after a moment, looking back at Douxie. His eyes narrowed slightly. "And you are...?"

"Hisirdoux Casperan." Douxie tried for a smile. "We have a mutual friend."

"Who?" The girl asked, hand subtly resting by the pottery wires around her waist.

"Samirah al-Abbas." Douxie nodded at Magnus' wide eyed look. "We... have alot to discuss."

Apollo stared at the art covered wall, arms crossed as he muttered under his breath. Rachel was sitting not too far away, glaring at the wall as if it might give her answers. Instead, they were left to ponder what the Oracle's impromptu painting session meant.

Rachel's art depicted a great battle of two giant elemental monsters, one of ice and one of earth. A group of teenagers and strange blue creatures stood in the foreground, watching the battle.

"Well?" Chiron's voice startled them both as he walked into the cave.

Rachel shrugged, tossing a Skittle at the wall. "Nothing yet."

Meg dug into the Skittle jar, tossing one at Apollo’s head. "Are you still thinking?"

"Yes, Meg." He said, voice light for the expression he was currently giving. Another Skittle hit his cheek. "Please don't do that."

Meg popped the rest of the candies in her mouth. "Thoughts you'd like to share with the class?"

Apollo gave her a wayward glance before he turned back to the wall. "Not yet..." he muttered. "Not until..." he trailed off again.

Meg glanced at Rachel with a concerned expression. She mouthed, 'See what I mean?'

There was a tense bout of silence for a few more seconds before Apollo stiffened.

"Douxie Casperan."

Chiron inhaled sharply like he'd been stabbed. "What?"

Apollo turned to him. "We need to get in contact with Douxie Casperan."
