I was just watching the making of Percy Jackson video and I genuinely find it so interesting how much dedication and time Walker truly put into his underwater scenes
it’s part of the reason why I will never understand complaints about him being casted because he has put so much effort into making pjo a reality and making sure Percy is brought to life in a way that is enjoyable
the kid literally stayed underwater for as long as he possibly could just to get the scene right 😭 he has a genuine love for playing Percy and it’s so obvious that he enjoys what he does. It shows it every time he’s on screen. It’s so clear he’s put his heart and soul into this character and show
I love him so much he will forever be the perfect Percy to me
Percy age 12: And if the mission required someone to push me down a flight of stairs for it to succeed… you’d want someone who won’t hesitate when they do it
#Something something about Annabeth expecting help from her mother because she was always the perfect kid but getting sent to her own death and Percy expecting nothing because he doesn't believe in his dad and despite everything being saved from death by him
I love how Walker Scobell just appeared one day. He’s acted in only three projects now, all within the last two years, all where he’s the main character. Nothing else. No nepotism. I think someone in Hollywood just said “Yeah I need an angelic little blond boy who watches too many rated R movies, bites people, and swears like a sailor?” and then they found Walker skateboarding in the dumpster out back and went “PERFECT”
"we're gonna get to see the underwater kiss" "we're gonna get to see silena and clarisse" "we're gonna get to see baby nico" you guys are all wrong. we're gonna get to see walker scobell as percy motherfucking jackson talking to fucking horses. will they poorly cgi the mouths to move? will they start talking in his head? will the voices be silly or perhaps recognizable celebrities? who knows. but i feel like we've all forgotten the talking horses and honestly it's a crime because THATS what im most excited to see on the big screen
The way Percy “loyalty is my fatal flaw” Jackson didn’t even FINISH hearing out Medusa. He heard “betray-” and fucking bolted like omfg THIS is my Percy no one’s doing it like him
while we're on the topic of talking about changes the pjo show made that i love, im glad they didn't push the whole Annabeth saying she and Percy *have* to be enemies because athena and Poseidon have beef. Instead she's just this cryptid autistic strategist 12 yr old who stalks Percy and pushes him into the water. She's like "hmm this white boy will perfectly serve my purpose and schemes" and she's so real for that
something about percy winning against ares by drawing first blood, not giving a fuck that it’s the god of war he is making an enemy out of vs him being caught totally unaware by luke and luke drawing first blood because percy hesitated, because this is his friend, because making an enemy out of a god is way more preferable over making an enemy out of a friend. percy winning against insurmountable odds vs him losing because his loyalty is truly and undoubtedly fatal.
