I caught the sun this morning, so here are some empties. I took a break last weekend because there wasn't anything but today there is. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Alterna Caviar Restructuring Bond Repair mask. I love this line because it makes my hair so smooth and I do a weekly conditioning treatment with this mask. Love it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Neutrogena Ultra-Sheer Moisturizing Face Serum Sunscreen. SPF 50+. This is a light easy-to-wear sunscreen. Broad Spectrum and a high enough SPF that you'll be protected for a while. Love it. I would love a larger bottle of it so that it would last me longer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Pixi Skintreats Retinol Tonic. I like this ok... smelled like Dettol... I used it as a toner in the morning. Again it was fine, but I don't know if it was doing much. I just used it to wipe on my skin first thing in the morning in place of a cleanse and it was great. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Tarte the Tartelette Tubing Mascara. I loved this mascara and I will for sure repurchase. It's a dark intense black and the real tubing formula just lasts and lasts. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Dior moisturising lipstick in a clear shimmer colour. If most of you have read my previous skincare reviews, You’d know how I’ve always mentioned the importance of Vitamin C, a great many benefits this brings to our skin, its basically the ‘Beyonce” of skincare, most dermatologists too are big fans , Vitamin C also helps produces collagen, giving skin radiance and vitality, and protects skin by neutralizing free radicals.

I was super excited to receive Pixi’s New Vitamin C Skincare collection, this skincare is seriously packed with a serious dose of collagen maintenance and antioxidants!

This collection is aimed at not just brightening your skin but helps protect against the effects of sun damage & free radicals.

Especially during summer, I feel the need for Vitamin C is highly crucial for our skin, I’ve been using this collection for more than a week and here’s what I think about it!

1. Pixi Vitamin C Juice Cleanser

This cleanser strengthens the skin barrier which is vital when it comes to protecting against bacteria and breakouts. This refreshing facial cleanser is packed with Vitamin C and ferulic acid to keep skin cells clean and well-hydrated. Simply splash the formula across your face before makeup application to ensure a soft, radiant finish.

My Verdict

Firstly can I just mention how much I appreciate the pump applicator, it’s so convenient and non-wastage of the product! If only most skincare brands come with this option it would make our skincare routine so much easier! The cleanser is gentle yet powerful brightening water, this cleanser is specifically formulated to help brighten the skin and our complexion with all the benefits of Vitamin C. Its like micellar water. Removes makeup and products well, all you need to do is use cotton or your hands to wipe away, you don’t need to rinse your skin after.

Note – It is slightly stronger than the usual micellar cleansers, due to the vitamin c and lemony fragrances added, so if you have highly sensitive skin I’d suggest you do a patch test and check. It worked well for me, and I must say I was in love with the fragrance, you feel so citrusy clean!

2. Pixi Vitamin C Tonic

This toner is formulated with antioxidant-rich Vitamin C, promoting healthy collagen production and boosting skin’s luminosity. The probiotics in this brightening toner help to fortify skin’s barrier while willow bark & fruit extracts gently exfoliate all skin types. Vitamin C brightens skin. Ferulic acid provides an antioxidant boost, and probiotics strengthen & balance the complexion. Paraben-free. Not tested on animals.

My Verdict

I’ve been looking for good toners, and though I’ve had a few good ones they may have catered to my acne or oily skin, but none have actually helped brighten my skin. Since I do a lot of photoshoots, I’ve been exposed to the sun for long and have had some bad sunburns, even though I’ve been slathered with Sun protection creams, This toner has done wonders to my skin!  This has not only instantly brightened my skin and my dark patches but has also helped brighten my acne scars and they look more faded now.

3. Pixi Vitamin C Serum

My Verdict

This is the superstar of the whole Vitamin C collection, this little bottle of wonder I call it helps fade your scars and discoloration, its only been a week and I swear I can see the difference! this is a must-buy product if your suffering with pigmentation/scars/discoloration this is the product worth investing in. It’s slightly sticky but worth it! It helps improve your skin tone giving you a smoother complexion!

4. Pixi Vitamin C  Lotion

My Verdict

The lotion is lightweight, I’m always hesitant about taking the plunge with a new moisturizer as my skin is greasy and prone to clogged pores, My skin needs retinol and moisture, this lotion strikes the perfect balance – light texture, hydrating and doesn’t cause my skin any problems. I use it every morning, I love the refreshing fragrance.

5. Pixi Vitamin C  Caviar Balm

A relaxing and amazing leave-on mask that does all the work for you while all you have to do is sit back and relax. The Vitamin-C Caviar Balm is formulated with antioxidant-rich vitamin C, orange blossom water and citrus extracts to help protect skin against free radicals while ferulic, ascorbic and lactic acids help to gently exfoliate the skin, resulting in a naturally glowy complexion that is visibly firmer, brighter and healthier.

My Verdict

This is definitely one of my favorite leave-on masks this season! Light scented the mask may feel heavy but it does not clog your pores. It’s great for some spa time at home just relaxing and binging on Netflix shows, I apply this mask on clean face and just let it do its job allowing encapsulated vitamins to melt into your skin, Also adding much needed hydration as well as promoting the production of healthy collagen, you won’t regret hyping up this must-try.

Sunny Wednesday 🌻 🌞 Thank you @pixibeauty for the awesome Hydrating Milky Collection. I have been using these products for over a month now and I thought it is about time to share my thoughts about this collection. 💚 Let me start with the Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover. The packaging is the same as my favorite Vitamin C Cleanser from them. I love the pump coz it is fun and more sanitary on dispensing the product in my opinion. The makeup remover does its job without drying and tugging my skin. It was able to remove even my most stubborn mascara and full coverage foundation. However, it is my routine to always double cleanse, so I usually follow it up with the Hydrating Milky Cleanser. The cleanser has a silky texture and it smells wonderful. It does leave my skin squeaky clean and a little tight though. Once a week, I use the Hydrating Milky Peel and I love it. Unlike the cleanser, this one leaves my skin so soft and smooth. The Hydrating Milky Serum is my most favorite in this collection. It really feels like you are putting milk on the skin because of its color, only this serum gives you the lushest texture and calming smell. It is very hydrating and nourishing like their Hydrating Milky Lotion. The lotion however has a stronger scent which sometimes makes me not want to use it on my face. The great thing about this lotion is you can apply it as well around your body so that is where I am using it the most. It is light and fragrant like I said and easily absorbed. 💚 Have you tried anything from this collection?
