This grumpy ass is Janus. He's... actually an AU ver of a cannon character buuuuut he deviates so hard from the source material not that he had much of a personality to begin with that I'm counting him. He's a grumpy ass and I adore him hehehe. He has his own fanfiction which you can read here, it being the reason I adore him so. It's been a good vent fic for me, as I'm usually able to easily work on it even when upset. Because it makes me feel better.

He's also one of my more well developed characters, which certainly adds to all of this! He goes through a arc guys. He GROWS as a person and we go from a small lovable dork of a child to a cynical angry depressed adult-teen-thing then to a lovable dork who's trying to make up for things and just,,, I love him ok. That's why I insist on tormenting him so much :)

Breaking News: IM A FUCKING PROPHET!!

So I haven’t really been keeping up with any GoBB updates because I’ve been too hyperfixated on other stuff. Only today have I decided to check the Euphoric Bros channel just to see when Chapter 8 comes out. First of all, not super interested in Unplagued, but the GoBB spinoffs look pretty good.

Second of all, HOLY SHIT I ACTUALLY PREDICTED SOMETHING BECAUSE OF AASB!!

Not only is it what I assume to be a prequel of some kind (I mean it is Chapter 0). However, we see what are probably THE MASCOTS AS WHEN THEY WERE CHILDREN?! That’s LITERALLY, like, EXTREMELY important to the lore of the mascots as I rewrote them in AASB! For some extra context, the mascots in AASB are actual biological organisms that can physically age and were born as gene-spliced fetuses made in test tubes. Even though I hadn’t posted anything directly stating this before (I hinted that this part of the lore in my Givanium explanation post) it’s still so cool that I had something in a fanmade rewrite that became a part of official canon material!

But yeah, I’m looking forward to Chapter 0 and Chapter 8 when they come out (and Chapter 5 when it eventually gets released). But I’m just really excited and I wonder what will come next in this games story!

Okay so you guys seemed to enjoy my post about my Yamask!Ingo AU, so I wanted to expand upon and explain this AU in a bit more detail, so here we go. Also this is gonna be VERY long so be prepared.

Essentially this takes place sometime after Akari’s battle against Volo and Giratina, Hisui is saved and while the space-time rifts are still occurring, they’ve been getting less and less frequent. Since stakes have greatly lowered, Akari decides to use her spare time to help Ingo get his memories back. This goes on for a few months, and by that point Ingo has regained several of his key memories, such as being from future Unova, his job as the Subway Boss, and most recently: Emmet. Obviously as Ingo regains more and more of his memories, the more he begins to feel out-of-place here in Hisui, and how much he wants to return home. Akari knows this and starts trying everything in her power to send him to his original time period.

One day, as Ingo, Akari, and Lady Sneasler are investigating one of the rifts on a mountain to find out how to send him home, the distortion from the rift triggers an avalanche. Lady Sneasler manages to save Akari from the oncoming snow, but Ingo gets caught in the crossfire, and ends up being killed as a result of his injuries. Akari is devastated as a result, not just from the loss of her friend, but knowing he would die never having gotten home. This leads her to Spear Pillar, where she makes a prayer to Arceus that there must be SOME way for him to go home. Thankfully, as Arceus’s champion, they listened, and tells Akari that they can send him home alive, just not in a human form. Arceus then turns Ingo’s dormant soul into a yamask, and sends him back to present-day Unova.

Meanwhile, Emmet has been barely holding on in his brother’s absence. The rifts that connect Hisui and the present era are parallel, so as Ingo has spent a year-and-a-half in Hisui, the same amount of time has passed in Unova. Emmet had become incredibly depressed during this period, although things have improved a bit, he’s still struggling to accept his dear brother may be gone forever. One day, he has a strange dream that night, where he’s following Ingo down a dark tunnel, and when Ingo turns to face him, he’s wearing a silver mask of his face, and Emmet wakes up (Emmet doesn’t realise that this is a message from Arceus about Ingo’s whereabouts and condition).

The next day Emmet heads out to work and operate the Battle Subway for the day (The subway system runs 24/7, but the Battle Subway specifically is only open during the day). Everything goes normal for the day until right before he decides to head home, he gets in a report from the Gear Station workers about a wild Pokémon in the underground tunnels, so Emmet goes to deal with the issue. After some exploration he finds what the worker had reported about: A harmless yamask, nothing too hard or serious, right? Well what Emmet has not realised yet is that yamask is, in fact, Ingo, who has spent the last 24 hours wandering the tunnels while also trying to process realising-your-own-death-and-becoming-a-Pokémon-as-well.

So obviously in that moment Ingo realises he’s literally now facing his long-lost brother, who has not realised who the latter is quite yet, and goes NUTS. So Emmet is now confused as this yamask starts frantically pointing at its mask and at him, and he doesn’t realise what’s happening until he takes a closer look at the mask and realises what’s exactly is going on: This yamask is actually his missing brother. Emmet and Ingo start breaking down into happy tears as the two are FINALLY reunited once more, Emmet then scoops up Ingo into his arms and runs home to process everything that’s happening.

After a bit the realisation kicks into Emmet that…well…Ingo is a GHOST NOW. Que Emmet bombarding Ingo with questions about what the fuck happened to him, while Ingo can only reply by writing everything out because he can’t talk now. While Emmet isn’t quite sure of what he was expecting, he probably wasn’t ready to see Ingo explain this entire freaking SAGA involving time-travel, amnesia, isekai, actual GODS and more.

Yeah thats gonna be really fun to tell their therapist. Their conversations from then on were basically like:

Ingo, writing down on a notepad: So then as we threw the Origin Ball at them, there was this giant explosion on light…aaannnddd then Spear Pillar was destroyed, trust me, it was INSANE. It worked though and we were mostly unharmed.

Emmet: What?! You saw the destruction of Spear Pillar, this just keeps getting even crazier, go on!

Elesa, who has been here for the last 20 minutes after getting a call from a Gear Station worker asking to check in on Emmet listening to all of this shit:

So I’m having a hard time trying to explain my original TMNT iteration not just because I keep procrastinating on making an explanation post but also because on one hand I have some insanely cool and interesting lore and plot while also having some of the weirdest and out-of-pocket shit even for TMNT standards.

Like the plot somehow both includes ‘most of the mutants in the hidden city are descended from an ancient alien race that was at war with the Utroms’ and ‘the reason Jason got mutated and became Mondo Gecko was because he mistook a vile of mutagen for Mt Dew and drank it’.

Heya Sorry if I haven’t been answering any questions about my GoBB rewrite for a while. My Pokémon hyperfixation has come back and has me in complete chokehold, and I suspect my GoBB hyperfixation won’t fully return until we start getting stuff about Chapter 8

I’m promising you I’m NOT abandoning this project, I’m just taking a little break that I have no choice over because my little neurodivergent brain said so. This is very common for me to do, as my brain often fluctuates between my group of hyperfixations at any given time, usually by a few weeks. Very rarely does my brain every truly “abandon” one of my hyperfixations, and even when it does happen there’s a good chance it might come back months or years later, and that’s exactly what’s happening with me right now with Pokémon.

My hyperfixation might come back sooner if the odds come into my favour. In the meantime you can still sent me asks about my GoBB rewrite, as I can catch up and answer them once my motivation comes back.

There are also other reasons besides my Pokémon hyperfixation for why I haven’t been posting my on my GoBB rewrite recently. I’ve been experiencing a lot of writers block and ESPECIALLY artists block with the characters in the rewrite, and I have been for a while now. This is what I’m most upset about, as I WANT to make full redesigns and stuff, but my lack of motivation and artistic blindness are making it extremely difficult.

I hope you guys understand, and I might make some occasional GoBB: As Above So Below posts before my hyperfixation truly returns. But for now, I hope you guys understand why I haven’t been answering questions and I encourage you to keep asking. Even if it may take a thousand years, at least it’s not eternity, patience is a virtue.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Urban Conspiracy...EXPLAINED!

HELLO EVERYONE!! I've been putting this off for a while now, but I think it's finally time I make an explanation post for my original TMNT iteration, Urban Conspiracy! However, before we begin, there is some stuff I need to clarify first.

This is NOT a full explanation of the WHOLE iteration, such as complete descriptions of characters and the ENTIRE storyline (those will be saved for future posts). This is just an introduction to the main premise, characters, world building, and lore. Secondly, some aspects of this iteration may potentially change as time goes on (for anyone who read my ComputerBug fic set in this iteration, there are already some significant differences between when I uploaded that fic and now). Finally, this iteration will discuss and portray some potentially triggering themes and content, including in this post. Please keep this in mind and proceed with caution. Also, this post is going to be a bit long, so watch out for that as well!

Now, with that all out of the way, let’s begin!

15 years ago, a mysterious tragedy occurred in New York City, known as the TCRI Disaster. The TCRI (Technological Cosmic Research Institute), was a government organization stationed in New York, dedicated to researching anomalous scientific phenomena and materials.

One night, however, a huge disaster occurred causing a large portion of the facility to be completely destroyed and exploded, completely out the blue. As a result, many of the scientists, visitors, and animals used for experiments were killed or went missing. To this day, nobody knows what really happened that night. Who or what caused the disaster, and what happened to the people and animals whose bodies were never found?

One thing was for certain though, something shifted within the general populous. Even long prior to the disaster occurring, there was already a famous urban legend that plagued the streets of New York. It was believed that there existed a mysterious substance known as the ooze, a bright green glowing sludge said to have the ability to turn normal humans and animals into mutant monsters. Yet still, despite the numerous reported sightings of these so-called mutants roaming the city, no concrete evidence existed that proved that the mutants and the ooze actually existed. However, things started to change after the TCRI Disaster. The reported sighting of mutants skyrocketed, and more and more people started to speculate the possibility of what was once a simple urban legend...could actually be true...and whether or not the TCRI Disaster and these mutant sighting were somehow linked.

But whether or not you actually believed it or thought it was all bullshit, what nobody realized was that the legends...were all true. A certain bunch of turtles could attest to that.

Leo, Ralph, Donnie and Mikey were all originally just normal baby turtles, born in the TCRI laboratory to be used for experiments. In reality, the ooze...or by its more proper title as mutagen, did, in fact, actually exist. The mutagen had the ability to mutate any organism within the kingdom of Animalia into hybrid of it and the last organism (also within the kingdom of Animalia) it had made physical contact with.

In the case of the four brothers, it was the humans that cared for them within the laboratory, turning them essentially into humanoid turtle people. Though in the case of their adoptive father, Splinter, his situation was a little different. Once a famous action movie star by the name of Hamato Yoshi, he just so happened to be visiting the TCRI facility when the disaster occurred and having come in contact with one of the lab rats within the facility, his fate was sealed. He was now stuck as a humanoid rat with a bunch of turtle children to raise, who just so happened to be mutated in the same disaster as he was.

Yet despite them technically not being entirely human, at least in their bodies, they were human within their brains and hearts. They had human lifespans, they thought like humans, they talked like humans, they were essentially...humans. However, the outside world was too dangerous for them, if anyone ever found out about the existence of mutants, who knows what terrible things could happen! They had to stay safe, to stay hidden. They made their home in an abandoned subway tunnel, right underneath an old 24/7 internet cafe, only occasionally leaving for quick trips on the surface. Additionally, Splinter decided to teach and train his sons in the art of ninjitsu, so they could fight and defend for themselves, just in case.

However, on the brother's 15th birthday, 15 years since the TCRI Disaster, 15 years since they were mutated, 15 years since they became this weird little family, Splinter decided to do something. He believed the turtles were strong, old, and responsible enough to go to the surface, all by themselves, without the supervision of their dear father. The four teenage boys were excited and overjoyed, finally being able to have their first real taste of freedom that night! There was only one rule, don't let any humans know about you...

...unfortunately, that rule just so happened to be broken in the exact same night. At least this teenage human girl by the name of April O'Neil is more than happy to keep quiet about the existence of mutants, especially since these four mutant turtles just saved her life as well. The only reason their secret even got out was thanks to them being suddenly attacked out-of-the-blue by a bunch of members of the Foot!

The Foot was said to be a mysterious organized crime syndicate from Japan but stationed in New York. Little was known about them and their goals, all that was known was that they were extremely dangerous and not to be trifled with. However, many people also believed the Foot were having an increasing interest in the rumors about the mutants. People have slowly been going missing without a trace over the past 15 years, and with that being just around the same time the Foot had shown up, and when the TCRI Disaster happened, there was indefinitely something strange going on. Something bad was happening, and it's going to be up to these mutant turtles and their new friend (and some future friends as well) to get to the bottom of it. From mutants, to gangsters, vigilantes, robots, crazy scientists, an underground society, and interdimensional aliens, things are certainly going to be interesting.

However, one thing is for certain, good old New York City is about to get a whole lot weirder!

Heya, sorry I'm late to responding to this. I feel like I should really go in more detail with this right now because I know everyone here who was following me for AASB and GoBB in general are confused as to where I have been.

CW// Bit of a vent

Yeah, I am indeed still working on As Above So Below, I’m just taking a break from GoBB for right now. I haven’t been super motivated to work on AASB for a bit now since there hasn’t been a lot of updates on Chapter 8 as of right now and I've been hyperfixated on other stuff. I feel like the Euphoric Brothers are also taking GoBB a bit more slowly as well, as the release days for the games have been getting father and father apart from each other as the games have been getting bigger.

I've been pretty burnt out on AASB and GoBB in general as of late, and I've been more hyperfixated on TMNT and Pokémon. As stated in that post I've been really struggling on making my redesigns for the characters in AASB, committing to a design is always really difficult for me in my experience in character design (ESPECIALLY with more complex designs like my redesigns for AASB). I have, however, come up with an idea for my designs that I think would really elevate them that I haven't really seen in other GoBB redesigns. Another thing with AASB that I am struggling to finish is the story, since GoBB is still currently an ongoing story, there are plenty of changes I am going to be adding as time goes on (I DO have a rough outline of events, characters, and the beginning and ending). Overall, the main reason I haven't been working on AASB is because of creative block and my stupid ADHD brain.

I often feel self-conscious about things like this, procrastinating on things and feeling like I'm betraying everyone by not doing anything, especially when i comes to updating with new content for something I know people are interested in. I get I don't have to owe anyone here on this hellsite anything, this is my creative project I'm doing for my own enjoyment. I forget that sometimes, and I'm trying my hardest to not.

However, I am currently working on another long explanation post similar to my one on the plot and the one on GV. I won't be revealing what this lore post is about just yet, so I hope you'll be looking forward to it once it comes out!

So, yeah. AASB is far from over, it's just on a bit of an undetermined hiatus for now. Thank you to everyone who has supported me with AASB so far now, I appreciate all of you! You can also keep sending in asks about AASB, I'll get to them eventually. I just hope everyone here can still be a little patient.
