okay is she being actually immature or is it just a woman over 30 expressing a human experience you find to be immature.

like yeah. at certain ages... let shit go. im not defending the real immature shit. im not defending the karen you're picturing. i worked in retail i hate those people too. (once somebody got mad at me because she didn't like how our winter window decor was a snowman smoking a pipe. i wish i was joking).

but men at 57 will write books about how 17 year old girls are soooo sexy. they will invent worlds where women have to be naked for "armor reasons." they will write songs that treat women as objects. people rush to defend them. meanwhile a woman at 35 will be like "heartbreak is hard, actually" or "i feel betrayed by a friend" or "i am struggling with something emotionally." immediately people will say stuff like this woman is 35 by the way. by the way this woman is SO OLD to be experiencing this. BY THE WAY.

im 31, almost 32. the other day a poet was blasted online because at her "big age", she had written a poem about feeling unloved. top comment was "this woman is 29 by the way." this woman is too old to still be useful, by the way. she has to behave better . maybe if she was a good wife and mother she could stop existing loudly, and the story could continue on without her. this woman has served her purpose, by the way. she's so cringe, by the way. at 29 - so old! - she still hasn't figured out that her existence should be one of shame.

I think the most interesting thing about the myth of female socialization is that it implies that there's some universal way that ALL women have experienced socialization. Like every single woman grew up with close female friends terrified of men and making herself smaller.

What about the women who grew up bullied for being fat or ugly? Who grew up fearing other women for their judgment? What about the girls who were taught to stand up for themselves and be loud to make themselves heard? What about women who grew up as 'one of the boys' and joked around with their male friends? What about the women who never internalized the myth of the 'evil rapist men' and don't fear walking alone at night?

Were those women "male socialized"? Are they somehow less of a women for how they were raised? And why is it any fucking different for trans women?

I'm really sorry for what you've been through because of those harassers. I feel angry on your behalf and I'm always on your side.

Scrolling those harassers' accounts, I can tell that they're also misogynists. You're right that they always praise Hunter for the same reasons they hate Amity or Luz. They even think the show favors female characters over male ones. They hate that Luz, the main character who is a girl, and her main sapphic relationship are more loved. More ironically, they always talk about Hunter and insert him everywhere. They constantly say that his trauma is more genuine than Luz's and Amity's or he's the real abused victim, not Amity. Lastly, Willow, they don't gaf about her unless it's something involving Hunter. Yet they're still yapping that he's overshadowed by girl characters. In most shows, side male characters always upstage female ones, especially female protagonists, and it irritates me. That's why I love TOH, because Luz and her sapphic relationship still have the most attention. Still, there is a lot of misogyny in the fandom and it needs to be called out. I'm certain that those harassed you will face karmas for what they did.

Exactly, the problem with these people is that their "criticism" is built off of their own biases that they refuse to acknowledge, and instead act as though it is a flaw with the show for not having their female characters be reduced down to a single easy caricature, or revolve around a man. Like is expected from female characters in media.

the other day i was explaining to my bf how i don't mind "genderbent" merlin art if it's not annoyingly heterosexual because she's transfem to me but "genderbent" arthur art just feels so very unrealistic. if he was born a girl he would just transition to be honest... people will try to do genderbending but "trans positive" by just saying it's lesbian merthur but then they're both conventionally feminine cis women and truly i don't think that works with their characters... merlin who defies every boundary and societal norm? arthur pendragon? arthur would never be a cis woman he would just transition sorry...

actually hold on. arthur is assumed to be a "tomboy" crossdresser and he pretty much only takes on the role of a princess when his father expects it. considered a harmless fancy. gets to the point where everyone even his knights call him prince arthur but as a "joke" because of how masculine he is. merlin gets assigned as the princess' maidservant and eventually arthur is like Merlin... you must understand... this isn't playing dress up, to me. this is who i am. and merlin's like Ohhh Okay. I deleted a post vaguing the fuck out of someone cuz honestly, a post made in frustration that really doesn't convey what i wanted to say, I think I added to a dogpile already happening on that person even tho I mostly had an issue with the kinda language she uses and edgy humor, because I think it is irresponsible. I would not be talking about somebody over getting in an argument with someone else I don't know 👍, I think it's fair she put me on blast and explained how the post came off, which I then read and concluded, I guess it could be interpreted that way. I really do not care and a lot of posts she makes come off like pitting Trans men against Trans women, that's really my main criticism. Tone down the edgy jokes, and make it easier to follow for slow dumbasses like me.

Overall, I think the post was unnecessary, and especially with the current timing really just added to internet dogpiling of a trans woman, which sucks and for that i am sorry. Don't make ironic bigoted edgy jokes tho. Don't cozy up people who can hide their bigotry behind ironic humor.

Yes I used recent things as an example from like her getting angry at the people she's arguing with, and I misunderstood the one insult she said as something wayyyy worse, I can assure you that I was not trying to misconstrue her points (which im not sure how much that matters since i still posted it to my audience and the responsibility is still on my uninformed ass), and that I do not care if trans woman online argues with people, and calls them names 😭
