They're just one slayer of many... But they've survived this long, and have been hot on the trail of uncovering Zor's biggest plan yet. What's one more task compared to everything they've gone through already? Stake the vampire, take as much intel as they can find, and leave. They've done it before, and they can do it again... [AKA, A retelling of the Death Engine mission in the middle of a Vampire AU (specifically inspired by Silent Slayer)]

something that drives me kind of crazy in regards to solaris running through the agent's zoraxis files during the death engine mission is just like... how much stuff she did.

like obviously she did a lot of stuff but. i mean. by that point in the games she's only been at zoraxis for five years. that's not a lot of time. and considering what revolutionary tech the death engine is, i would imagine she spent most of those five years working on that.

but THEN, she also worked on the z-car. and the grenegg. and the escape pods. and on and on and on and it makes me wonder like... when does she get a break?? solaris is consistently churning out new machines that range from boring yet effective, to never before seen! but they're consistently high quality, even despite the insane crunch she must be working under.

the dashboard canon in the z-car did it's job well enough to help the phoenix escape. the layers of defense on the grenegg are notorious for being one of the hardest puzzles for new players to solve under pressure. the self destruct module is the only part of the escape pod that even works. she created a device powerful enough to reroute gravity by harnessing some rocks and she calls it a prototype.

hell, she never tested the rocket chair ONCE and the first time it's used it works flawlessly. and why, might you ask, has she never gotten the chance to test it? could it be, perhaps, that she had so much stuff to do? that she physically did not have the time? that zor was pulling her from project to project and she didn't even have the time to make sure she was doing her best work?

you have to imagine that she was important to zor. if there was anyone else who could have made the death engine, they probably would have discarded her at the drop of a hat. clearly, they value loyalty and obedience- two traits she doesn't seem to have. she's important to them, surely...

but thinking about how much zoraxis must have been running her into the ground is kind of crazy, is all. those are just the projects we hear about. who knows how many other things she made that were never relevant to the phoenix to begin with?

current fan creation landscape is kinda like if you went to a party with a homemade cake and everyone takes a slice and silently thumbs up at you with no attempt to start a conversation except for occasionally some guy sits in the corner with a tape recorder critiquing the cake as though he was a restaurant critic and another guy is handing the cake to an uber driver like "yeah i need you to find a restaurant that makes cake like this so i can have more of it" and the only person that's talked to you in 30 minutes is a very sweet little guy who was like "hey i liked your cake" and then ran away apologizing for bothering you the moment you said thank you.
