all I want for knives out 3 is for phillip to be in it in the role of romantic partner who against his will gets dragged into the investigation because it happened on a vacation he's on with benoit or sth and he now has to function as the utterly unwilling watson/hastings to benoit's holmes/poirot

and everytime they introduce themselves they have to correct people who assume "partner" means business partner to let them know he is his romantic partner and actually he would prefer to not be involved in the investigation

I see your ‘Benoit pretends/tries not to solve the case because he doesn’t want to ruin Phillip’s vacation’ and raise you a ‘Phillip knows how much Benoit loves solving cases so he tries to get Benoit to solve the case and when that fails he tries to have a go at solving the case himself because he’s listened to Benoit’s stories so many times maybe he’s learned a thing or two and then - get this - he does manage to solve it and Benoit is so proud’

oh, friends, it has been a while.

Life has been at an 11, lately, in so many ways, not least because practicing international law in a time when the world is as it is feels a lot like that gif from Community where Donald Glover walks into a room with a bunch of pizzas, only to find that the room is actively on fire. I have missed you all, and I've missed writing, and I'm hoping dearly to have more time for both in the coming days, if I can manage it.
