After Hours SMP lore makes me soooo insane. they have so many problems. Shout out to Allrich and Psyan being unable to talk without arguing. Shout out to Phea still thinking her and Kab are "Best Friends!!" (they're not and Kab is using them.) Phea being SO scared of being alone that they cling to everyone, even the people who hurt them.

Psyan still being SO bitter about the betrayal after months (rightfully so imo!) and having everything that happened with Kaboodle blamed on him. Bro is so alone and Angry and doesn't understand why everyone is being so secretive around him and avoiding him. Phea STILL wants to be best friends with Psyan and Kaboodle after everything. Even if she doesn't get why Pysan is still so mean to them. Allrich resents Kab and wants to be free from his soul being owned by her but is holding on for Phea's sake. Horrible, horrible cycle.

I found a waterlogged copy of gone girl in a little free library and it has a huge black stain on it that I was kinda worried was mold but I think it's just dirt xD clearly the library wasn't waterproof

50. what kind of book have I never read but hope to in the future

I honestly don't know bc I started reading non-fiction sometimes and have really enjoyed it ! maybe something more in the biography/auto biography genre ? I've never been too keen on it in the past but I'd be open to it

"Ink Spots"

The living room was quiet, bar MacCready sat on the sofa, cleaning his gun while he listened to the radio. Shaun had settled down for the night. 

Calling the space a living room never felt strange to Phea, it had been her living room two hundred years ago and it felt wrong to change it. The wallpaper might have faded and peeled off, and the walls might be patched up with wood and the guts of the old neighbourhood. But the building was still standing and despite everything it was still her home. 

From her perch at the old kitchen island, she watched as MacCready meticulously checked over his gun. He was checking for any unseen damages that might cause a risk to the mechanism. It was the same way he’d looked over her when she’d gotten into a fight with a deathclaw. Careful and gentle. Phea didn’t know how to feel about her mental comparison to a gun. 

Striding round to the sofa, confident MacCready had finished his inspection of the gun, she turned the main lights off. The soft glow from the small light in the corner allowed for a gentle atmosphere to fall over the room. 

Travis stuttered something over the radio, introducing the next song. Phea hadn’t really been paying attention to the radio, too consumed by her own thoughts. 

“I don't want to set the world on fire

I just want to start

A flame in your heart” 

MacCready noticeably grimaced at the song. A lifetime in the wasteland with such a small collection of music available must steadily remove any joy that could be gained from those songs. Phea, cuddling up beside MacCready, started to sing along. 

“In my heart, I have but one desire

And that one is you

No other will do” 

MacCready looked down at her, confused, “You like this stuff?” 

She smiled at him, “Yeah, Nate used to have this album on holotape. He used to play it all the time.” 

MacCready smiled back at her, her eyes brimming with tears.

“Believe me

I don't want to set the world on fire

I just want to start

A flame in your heart” Phea kept singing. She pushed herself up, her cheeks damp. 

MacCready watched her as she began to sway to the music. Slowly, he stood with her, wrapping his hands around her waist. Her back to his chest. Together they swayed, Phea continued to sing along. She turned to face him. A gentle smile filled her face. 

The song began to draw to its close. 

“I don't want to set the world on fire

I just want to start

A flame in your heart.” 

As Phea sang the last lyric, MacCready drew her in till their noses met. She closed the last few centimetres between them, closed her eyes and kissed him.

By far the funniest thing about writing Premiere Nebula is how everyone obviously thinks about themselves in fantasy genre standards except for the one established celebrity of the team (Phea), who calls herself things like "PR chair" and "temp recruiter" just because she thinks everyone would appreciate each other more in the rebel organization if they had official, corporate-sounding job titles.

I love how much Kab haunts the lore on After Hours. She’s not there, but she owns Allrich and Phea’s souls. She controls every action they make. She makes the rules, and they have to follow them even when she’s been gone for weeks. Phea comments Multiple times about how Kab hasn’t been around. How they miss her (even if they shouldn’t.)

Because Kaboodle is on Lifesteal now- she’s found more people to mess with. Phea’s left in an empty base that belongs to Kab. Her soul is missing, and she doesn’t even want it back, because she still genuinely wants to be friends with Kab!! Even if she’s busy, even if she hasn’t thought about them.

Allrich and Phea are left without souls, for who knows how long. Until Kaboodle decides to pay them a visit again. They still can’t talk to Psyan without arguing, and they’re veryy Slowly buying back everything Kab (and Branzy) gave away. She could log on at any moment and change the entire course of the server within seconds. A single “Phea, say mean things to Kantje.” And it ruins an entire possible friendship.

And she’s just gone. And Phea can’t even hate her for it! (It’s okay, Allrich resents her enough for the both of them.) Psyan is left without any real friends or a team, and they all miss each other SO much, but there’s nothing they can do while Kab owns Phea and Allrich’s souls. They keep talking about “When we’re friends with Psyan again,” and then everything they’ll be able to do together again. They can’t rebuild a guild farm Without him, they refuse.

They also finally acknowledged how Psyan has never stopped wearing gold armor and it’s sooo. They’re all really sad and bitter about each other. They make me sick.
