Today we’d like to introduce you to Blaze Robert Stow.

Blaze, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today? I was born June 25, 1992 in Seattle, Washington, to a firefighter’s family. My mom was the one to name me, remembering it from childhood after she met an artsy socialite living in L.A. Being the oldest son, I naturally took on a leadership role. I was blessed to have the support of my parents, their families, the family we gained through the adoption of my brother, and the family of friends we made. We lived in a small coastal town named Edmonds, and my favorite place was our family’s beach house. I attended private Christian school, and my graduating class had roughly 100 people in it – most I’ve known my entire life. I’ve always wanted to be an actor, for as long as I can remember. I recently found my 4th Grade autobiography assignment, where I had written that I would become a famous Actor in Los Angeles, riding around in a black limousine.

At a young age, I became affiliated with The Stone Soup Theater in Wallingford, Washington. Here, I starred in public youth performances of “A Christmas Carol” and “Snow White,” then regularly attended their summer camps. I was also exposed to the arts by attending field trips such as “James and the Giant Peach” and “The Nutcracker.” In school, I took drama class. I was also signed with a local talent agent, and I worked in television, commercials, and print. I’ve always surrounded myself with music, art, fashion, design, gardens, etc. I am a frequent attendee of plays, museums, concerts, festivals, and more. I chose to move to Los Angeles when I was 19 years old. I transferred to The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, received a scholarship, and later graduated with a degree in Merchandising & Marketing. Soon-thereafter I began working for a celebrity stylist. Working with celebs, pushing visions and further developing brands, I quickly realized my heart was still set to be in front of the camera. In 2014 I found the Beverly Hills Playhouse (BHP) as my place of study. Here, I practiced scene study and audition technique, with the focus on Acting, Attitude, and Administration. Through the community, I was able to make friends with filmmakers and eventually starred in a few short films through in which I became SAG-Eligible. I began self-submitting for roles using sites such as backstage.com and castingfrontier.com.

Through these sites, I receive audition requests to either self-tape or appear in-person. My main acting focus is Theater, Television, and Film. I also enjoy working with Fashion, and I book a lot of commercial work. In theater, I am most known for playing Horst, in the Hollywood Stage Company’s live production of “Bent.” “Bent” is a play written by Martin Sherman, about two homosexuals, falling in love, set inside a concentration camp. Most recently, I played the Nazi Officer, in the live production of “The Diary of Anne Frank,” by Phantom Projects. “BY USING THEATRE AS A TEACHING TOOL, PHANTOM PROJECTS THEATRE GROUP BRINGS LITERARY CLASSICS TO THE STAGE AT THE LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS, ALONG WITH ORIGINAL PLAYS TACKLING HARD HITTING TOPICS RELEVANT TO TEENS, PARENTS, AND TEACHERS (PhantomProjects.com).”

I am honored to be affiliated with Phantom Projects and contributing back to my community. I have been fortunate enough to work on over 100 different sets in the Television, Commercial, and Film space. Although my intention is to be a leading actor, I feel it is important to stay as close to your medium as possible during all steps of your career. With that thought in mind, I occasionally accept work as a background performer. I strongly believe all roles are important, no matter how big or small the role may be. I am grateful for companies such as Face2Face Talent, Central Casting, and others for giving me the opportunity to work on such great projects. By working day-jobs, I was able to save enough money to produce a few scenes for my acting reel (available on IGTV). Having acting footage on my casting profiles has been crucial to my success, as it seems to increase the likelihood of being asked to audition.

Due to COVID-19 and the city’s social unrest for Black Lives Matter, most of the work has been put on hold or moved online. I have taken this time to refocus and restructure my routines. I have been making an effort to read more books and plays during this time. I’ve also been focused on maintaining good nutrition and exercise in order to keep my mental health and body strong. Starting in July, I will be posting self-taped videos on my Instagram using the hashtag #MonologueMonday. My goal is to express my first-circle of casting to my followers, while also refining my approach to the work. My acting career concept is to set fire and illuminate the way.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome? At BHP, we believe your attitude is like the aperture of a camera; the more open you are, the more light shines through. I am also a believer that life only throws at you what you can handle. I am reminded of the “starving artist.” My attitude reads this phrase as someone who is hungry to learn and grow, but there is another side to it. I’ve had to learn how to financially support myself while simultaneously investing time and money into my artistic career. I am naturally hard-working and become very dedicated. I’m constantly compartmentalizing my thoughts in order to put in the work at a day-job, to be able to put in the work on-stage. Acting classes, headshots, reels, personal websites, casting websites, all add up and can be very costly. I frequently adjust my priorities and often make sacrifices to keep my art alive.

Another challenge I face is with my sexuality. While attending religious school, I had to hide my sexuality in order to stay enrolled. In my later years, I have learned to appreciate diversity, and I am learning to have a stronger voice towards my beliefs. I continue to take this challenge head-on, and use my art as a vessel to expand my expressions and grow my confidence. #ITGETSBETTER. I am familiar with the symptoms of depression and anxiety, but thankfully I have overcome most of these hurdles through therapy, meditation, breathing work, and constant communication with myself (mind, body, and spirit). A specific challenge during quarantine was staying motivated, specifically when self-submitting. There were so many unknowns during this time: when will the shoot be, will they practice social distancing? Truthfully, I did take some time off until I felt more certain.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know? I prefer more dark and dramatic works, but with charm, humor, and irony, I can easily play light and comedic. My interest in fashion, art, and design also contributes to my upscale vibe. My current first-circle of casting is: the fashion assistant, the young politician, the creep, the cool boy next door, the rich kid, and the deep-romantic/love-interest. I have a wide range, and my friends like to joke that I have a “50 Shades of Blaze” thing going. Some of my favorite roles studied are Prior in “Angels In America”, Alex in “Little Dog Laughed”, and Chance in “Sweet Bird of Our Youth.” What makes me different starts with my physical appearance. I’m 6’2” with model-like features, intensity behind the eyes, and a lot of mental energy. I am gifted in making genuine connections, and I tend to be spiritual, with a good attitude. I have lived a lot of life, and that is transparent through my work. Because of my business mindset, I have strong administration habits for my acting career, which I believe will be the vehicle that will launch my career into success. I am proud to be “living the dream,” but see so much more ahead of me, and I’m ready to put in the work. I am currently looking for talent management and representation. What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on? The first time I saw myself on primetime television was extremely cool. But I must say, my proudest moment so far would be walking onto stage with over 1200 students watching me perform something extremely relevant to our times.

My fave take on Danny Phantom in dpxdc fics is always going to be the Accidental Secret Keeper. He knows many things others don't, but not because he's being purposely mysterious or distrustful. He just ends up not telling people important info until a bit after the fact for, usually, one of three reasons. 1) The ADHD issue of doing this Danny: "I need to remember to share this info with them." Danny: "Man, good job, Me, for remembering I need to tell them that!" Danny Brain: floods with happy chemicals Danny: completely forgets about actually telling anyone anything 2) He DOES tell people...but in a way that's confusing, vague (if you don't have the background info), and/or can easily be interpreted in a far more intuitively normal way. Later, he'll point out he DID tell people, but no one had any idea he meant THIS. 3) The Calm Infodump that's traumatic for the listener. People start being far more careful asking Danny questions because he will not only answer bluntly, he will add additional info that haunts the listener for the rest of the week.

So I had another idea come at me while making lunch (I'm starting to sense a pattern with myself, lmao)

What if when Jazz sends out letters to the colleges she wants to get into, she gets sent rejection letters from every single one... except the local community college. She's absolutely devastated about it. She thought that she did everything she could to be chosen. How could every single one reject her?

Danny, of course, hears about it and asks Tucker to check and see if something happened digitally. Surely, Technus or Vlad or someone messed with something to sabotage her. But when Tucker checks, there's absolutely nothing wrong. She still has her perfect grades and attendance record all set with no marks. Her community service hours are all there. It's only when he looks at the letters themselves that he finds the problem...

After looking online to see what the letters look like, he comes to a puzzling realization... the letters were fake. It's a good fake, but it's not the real thing. The signatures were off, and the writing had been changed.

This is what leads him down the rabbit hole.

He tries to ask about it online to ask others who've also been rejected. Except nobody is answering him.

Sam tries to call the numbers listed on the websites of the colleges... but the person who answers is strangely unknowledgeable about the college they represent.

The only college that seems normal about it was the nearby community college. And that somehow feels the least normal about everything.

It was only when he heard his mom complaining that they never heard from family anymore after they moved to Amity that he figured it out.

Containment. Nothing is leaving Amity. No emails, texts, letters, or posts online. Everything was being blocked.

Of course, this sends him on a mission as to why and how. He spends weeks on it. Sam and Danny actually began to become concerned for him. No, this isn't a pride thing, Sam. And yes, he is taking care of himself, Danny.

Technus is the one who gives him the answer. It was just a passing comment about how he needed to funnel through the GIW in order to infect the world. It didn't make sense to any of them because surely that's the last place you would want to do that. But then it dawned on Tucker. That's who has the power needed to do it! That's where he needed to look!

So he hacks into the GIW and is astonished by what he finds.

The anti ecto acts aren't real. There's no laws even acknowledging ghosts.

There's a file on Phantom, marked as 'candidate for X'.

And all he can find on the containment is a name he's seen described as the creator of the GIW and the main supplier of funds.

DP x DC Writing Prompt: Justice League's Totally Real Redemption Program

It has been a few months now since Vlad became a member of the Justice League.

...Alright rewind, it started after he instinctively used his powers a bit in human form during one of the Wayne's Galas. It was subtle but Masters moved someone out of the way and they "barely" avoided it (no thanks to a hint of intangibility of course) if only to continue talking business with them or coursem

Of course he should have known being technically a Metahuman in Gotham would get him on the Bat's radar. It was only a matter of time before the big bad bat himself burst into his office.

But... It happened while he was asleep and only left a business card to contact the Justice League??? They apparently wanted to recruit him???

Vlad was unsure but based on them being friendly they seemed to act like they were trying some bizarre rehabilitation program? Like they're trying to make villains into heroes by treating them well having them use their powers or skills for their side? Well based on his data on the Flashes, they seem to treat their Rogues well... Probably his idea.

Weird that they chose him first instead of one of their own rogues, but Vlad went along with it. Writing it off Danny was also being recruited by the Justice League and he suggested using him as a Guinea Pig first? Honestly he wouldn't put it past the boy.

Over time though Vlad began to see the positive effects he was having as the heroes seemed to look happy he was learning good with proud stares. It felt.... Refreshing to use his powers for good, something he remembers his past self had mocked Daniel for when they met.

...Speaking of Phantom, where was he anyway? It's been a while since he pestered Vlad?

Batman, on a rare occasion like this, was happy all things considered. Constantine was right about the rumors regarding a Halfa helping people and ghosts alike. A hero in his own right.

He didn't expect to find Vladimir Masters as the one he was looking for, and by chance when he saved someone with a subtle use of powers. At first suspecting Metahuman abilities he was keeping under wraps, but Constantine came by not long after asking about the feeling of the "Infinite Realms" in the area. Once he was told about ghosts, it didn't take long to find a connection back to Vlad.

After some digging they found according to legends he has been seen across history having fought what was believed to have been another like him... The only other Halfa and one appeared evil to the bone.

Batman hadn't pressed Plasmius about his past but he did make a list of the rogues in Amity Park, a town protected by the Halfa.

Including the suspected evil Halfa, he was easy enough to track down as hiding as a ghost hunter's own son and seal away into a little artifact for now. One less threat to deal with...

Even if he recognizes not all ghosts are evil, some do not deserve second chances for their crimes.

(Or... Justice League fucks up a teeny bit in research and recruitment, so through misunderstandings they believe Plasmius was the hero and Phantom was the villain based on past stories of their appearances and legends passed through the Ghost Zone to other mythical creatures but the story and detail become warped and faded as centuries past by.)

Meanwhile Vlad thinks this is some weird rehabilitation project and seems to be working for him as he feels good about doing good. Danny in turn may not be stuck in absolute suffering but isn't exactly having a good time due to being mistaken for the bad guy and now currently sealed away.)

Glitterbombs for rogues

A/N: I got sick over the holidays. So I did not do any of the writing I originally wanted to do. So instead of that Christmas Story you get this Mark Rober inspired little tidbit.

Tim had a new favorite Engineer Youtube. The boy was a bit younger than him but a genius Engineer judging by the hand full of videos Tim had marathoned through. According to the listed self-introduction part of the video, Danny was currently an engineering student in Gotham with the goal to work one day for NASA. (Tim held out some hopes that he maybe could snag the kid for WE if possible. He had already sent out an internship offer after the third video he had watched)

Either way, Danny had potential and ideas that borderlined on mad science. But made his videos of his little projects even more entertaining and interesting to watch. Tim's favorite so far was Danny's explanation on how he reconstructed his toaster so that it would launch itself into space after the third his roommate burned toast with it. He did buy his roommate a new toaster at the end of the video though.

Still Tim liked this guy and his videos. So with anticipation he clicked on one of the newer videos. The title having caught his attention: 'Why Glitter'.

Instead of the usual introduction bit with little highlights of Danny's previous project the video started out with a big fat warning in red letter to not attempt to replicate anything in the video. That had Tim very curious already, but then a little video clip following that had Tim spitting out the coffee he was just sipping from.

Thankfully he missed spitting on his phone, still he jumped out of his cozy bed where he had been watching YouTube on his phone and hurried over to his laptop. The video, meanwhile, was continuing playing. He could hear the usual music from the introduction part as well as Danny's voice explaining his reasosn -which were valid, Tim had to agree with some of them- once that part was done.

By now he had fired up his laptop and was researching. The video in the background was explaining how Danny had build his Glitterbombs similar to the once another youtuber had but slightly modified them since he was not going to use fart-spray. Tim eyes widened as he found the first correlating news articles, wondering how they hadn't seen them sooner, but a glance at the date revealed that they were only posted a couple of hours ago.

Danny in the video was no explaining about his fist chooses victim and Tim dived onto his bed from his desk to get his phone back in his hands. Wide eyed, he watched as Danny obviously with a GoPro strapped to his head, crawled through what looked like an air vent. Once he reached an opening he looked through the slits into what appeared to be Riddlers hide out. Danny took the Camara of his head so that he could grin into it making the sign for silence as he barely contained his own chuckles. The other then waited for a moment, the camera work now getting wonky and the video even glitching out but a second later Danny was back in focuse before pointing down and then directing the Camara to his view. There in Riddlers hideout now sat Danny's self engineered glitterbomb.

"No he didn't..." Tim muttered as the video cut to a different scene. Danny was now walking through the sewers, humming cheerfully while explaining why he chose who he choose.

Another cut and... Tim spluttered. How the hell did Danny manage to just walk into Arkam?! So he hadn't seen wrong at the beginning of the video.

Growing paller with every cut on how Danny delivered his self-engineered Glitter bombs, Tim started to fear for his new favorite youtubers safety. Thankfully he had already done his work on Danny's person when he sent the internship offer. Now he just needed to get Danny to freaking safty.

He dragged himself to his laptop still in disbelieve as various clips of the rogues getting glitterbombed from the bombs perspective started playing. And yep, he definitely didn't see wrong now in the beginning. The Joker was one of Danny's chooses victums. Aside from the fact that he was so going to download and save that video for eternity as well as share it with his brothers and friends, (because as funny as it was that most of them were Gotham rogues, Luther and another millionaire by the name of Masters had also been made victims.), he still had to figure out how to ensure this definitely insane youtubers safer from the warmth of 90% of their rogues now.

Great newly discovered favorite youtuber has just painted a big fat red target on himself.

Tim was just about to call everyone in when a bonus at the end of Danny's video started to play.

He recognized that safe house.

He recognizes the weapons displayed on the walls also.

Oh... that's...

Still laughing Tim still sent out a message to everyone. When asked why all he did was sent them the link to the video with to timestamps.

Short Fic Idea

Where all of the Phantom Family are dating within the Batfamily (except Damian— this is important). The Batboys who are dating them think they’re the favorite, but they soon discover that it’s actually Damian.

Damian al Ghul-Wayne is the favorite of Team Phantom for several reasons. 1) he’s deadly, 2) he’s adorable, 3) he tries so hard to be a good person.

Like I think Jazz would love him bc he’s small and tiny, but he tries so, so hard (just like Danny), and Dan would love him because he’s trying his best to redeem himself and he’s damaged (just like him), and Danny would love him bc he’s cute and fun to tease, but he’s also really creative and has a soft side despite his prickliness (like Sam or Valerie), and Dani would love him bc he’s hot-tempered but kind to others and brave enough to create his own identity outside of his parents (like how she wants to be).

I just want the Phantom family doting on Damian who’s like ??? While his siblings are all jealous and offended that he’s the favorite. I think Damian would either react like really confused and somewhat flattered/embarrassed by the attention, or he would take advantage of this to make his siblings’ (Tim) lives hell (and also get some attention).

Suddenly half-human

Danny was a full ghost hanging out in a random spot in the Zone when suddenly a rift in space tore open on top of him.

His very essence shifted as strange energies poured into him from a previously-unfathomable direction.

No longer pure ectoplasm. Something new, something living in a deeply foreign way.

A force suddenly pulled him to collide with cold, solid ground.

He felt different.

His whole body felt weighed down as if encased in thick rubber, preventing him from shapeshifting or even just floating up. Something thudded to life inside his chest, pumping a new fluid throughout his insides.

As he continued to lay there in shock, his chest began to burn.

Instincts he didn’t fully understood kicked in and his mouth flung open, gasping for breath. The burning subsided as his chest continued to heave.

What the hell? Since when did he need to breathe?

He heard three young, panicked voices from across the room. He flopped his head in their direction and took in their appearances semi-deliriously, still trying to pull his thoughts back together.

They were humans. Living, breathing humans. A tall redheaded girl, a boy in a beanie and glasses, and a girl in what he believed was referred to as “goth” clothes.

Wait… was he human now?

Awkwardly clambering to his feet, leaning against the wall of the strange tunnel for balance, he tried to give them a grin. It probably came out a bit more unhinged than he intended.

“So, uh, any idea what just happened?”
