Cowspar and cowpetra!!!

I'm free from finals! Finally getting back in the cowboy groove hehe!! These guys are the second to last pair of the Black Eagles townsfolk. My exams have put me away from my love for fashion for too long, I have so much to talk about!!!

For Caspar, I really mostly played around with his weird dangly straps on his coat and translated them into fringes on his outfit! I also added more touches of blue and gold throughout because I think its a nice accent to the brownish reds. I didn't give him a hat cuz his spiky hair might poke holes in them (/silly).

For Petra, I wanted to play around with her flowy scarves and dangly tassles. I went with giving her garments that are sectioned in panels, see her cape and brown half skirt. I really like her skirt in her post TS design, I reimagined the motifs on them using some batik patterns! Her skirt and boot straps feature parang (used by royalty and symbolizes strength), udan lirih (symbolizes good luck and calming aura), and cupat manggu (taken from floral and fruity motifs). I thought it would be interesting to put cultural meanings that I am familiar with into her clothing patterns.

She also does not wear a cowboy hat, because I liked her Hopes headpiece better, its much more iconic. I turned it into a bandana of sorts in here.

Next up are the honorary Black Eagle members, Jeritza and Monica!! I dunno much about them but I'm excited to come up with some designs!

5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?

All American Bitch by Olivia Rodrigo ♫

The song speaks about feminine rage and girl hood with the added layer of being a brown girl. Hiding all her bitterness and anger and resentment behind a polite smile. Petra is the perfect All-Brigidese Bitch with her perfect hair and her perfect lips and hips and is endlessly positive and kindness and patience. She doesn't get angry when she classmate insult her homeland, she's always grateful to be in Fodlan, she pretty when she cries.

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

Her wyvern was a gift from Claude and it's from the same litter as his wyvern. Her name is Aolani and she's a good girl :)

Also, during her time at the academy, she had this habit of sneaking out her room in the middle of the night, breaking into a spare facility room and screaming all her frustration. Oblivious to her, when Dimitri can't sleep he walks around the monastery and would sometimes hears a screaming girl. He thinks it's a another ghost.

17. What's a ship for this character you don't hate but it's not your favorite that you're fine with?

Cyril! There's some fanart that's super cute, I just don't really think about it. I really like Cyril/Lysithea and DoroPetra and ClaudePetra most so it's just there.

HubertPetra and FerdinandPetra are also fine. I think Petra should dom them.

I won't say it's a NOTP I just don't know how Bernie/Petra, Edelgard/Petra or Lin/Petra would work. Caspar/Petra could maybe work in the West Side Story type of way. Someone should write a fic where they're from rival gangs and Caspar kills Petra's dad. Eh. Stick to your own kind, Petra.

20. Which other character is the ideal best friend for this character, the amount of screentime they share doesn't matter?

Flayn! I think her and Flayn would be great friends!

here are those valentines drawing and how they have evolved so far (not a lot as you can see). i ended up sketching a new yurileth, the second places for the non-character-specific polls too (ferdibert, marihilda, netteflix) + claurenz cause that's a scene i've written in one of those fics i wrote for my own enjoyment (not a claurenz fic, more of a claude diary in fódlan or something)
