*health update*

i think i had influenza two weeks ago (even though i'm vaxxed this year). a few days into it, i had what'll call an 'stomach episode', maybe because of the pain/fever medicine (i took ibuprofen, a mistake). there was more pain, the feeling of acid crawling up my throat and mouth, etc etc.

i had been coughing a lot before and continue to cough persistently for a few days. since before the "stomach episode" my voice started to fail and... it's still awful, breaking a lot.

my throat feels a bit painful and i'm still coughing sometimes (not a lot.)

but the worse for me is the voice... it's been 10 days...

i'm really depressed and anxious.

this was for day 1 of dmcl week - summer

unfortunately i couldn't finish it. i was so overwhelmed this past few days with my last exam i've gotten sick. even logging on tumblr feels taxing, so this is what i can manage for now. at least i'm done with my exams and my classes (even if i probably got a mediocre grade, it's ok! it's over! yay!)

i'll work on this some more eventually because it looks cute lol. and hopefully i'll get better soon and post a few more pieces for dmcl week (late dmcl week i guess).

I think you do a wonderful job demonstrating warmth in a character's face. Nose, eye shape, freckles, and the complexion of the face. It comes alive. That I would consider your trademark.

i managed to 'polish' this one for annette's bday! i'm using these birthday drawings mostly as excuses to finish stuff i have lying around :p
