I have some questions for Stanley do you ever have flashbacks and nightmares of the war? If so how bad do they tend to get? do you have some sort of comfort item or like a little safe space for you?

Stanley: *looks awkwardly away* Well-yeah kinda, like I’ve struggled with severe anxiety, the amount of panic and anxiety attacks I’ve gotten especially after Kyle’s death, and my jinx definitely didn’t help me out, well some days I have nightmares on that day or when-him-constantly berating me and calling me all sorts of horrid things or when my old manager before I came to the msr-

But Nia and Freddie, they also know-what’s it’s like- I mean they did sortave kindave taught me everything they know(like Kyle)-They’re were both so funny and tried their hardest to made me laugh and smile and they didn’t criticize or berate me when I’ve cried or made mistakes started talking about bugs and stayed awake with me when I had trouble falling asleep (insomnia I hate you so much) since they also had trouble sleeping…

Nia spoke a lot about her old home in South Africa 🇿🇦 like the animals living there and she told me stories and she sung me a lullaby in Xhosa? Zulu? I believe (and I’ve memorized it by heart) to help soothe my fears, we talked a lot about animals together even spend time at her flower garden and Freddie always tries to get me to race him though it’s more of a doubleheader with him being goofy and telling me a bunch of silly things heh.

The others have also helped me.. I mean Stuart, Falcon and Andreas worked all day to try and help me with my jinx and Andreas did apologize to me for suggesting I would be better off as a generator (though that’s not a terrible idea, I’ll keep it in mind and that’s not the most horrible thing I’ve been told to do-….)

And- and *he gives a slight hopeful grin* Duke and Toby did help me get rid of my jinx and well-I feel so happy *gently chuckles*I’ve haven’t felt this much… freedom in years…it’s.its exhilarating (kyle should be alive not me-)

Ah-sorry for rambling I admit I don’t exactly have a comforting item or memento unless you count the Little Rock’s and geodes or herbs and flowers Nia, Freddie and I find together, and I love being in Nia’s flower garden, there’s a track nearby the forest where I get to look at the constellations 🌌 and the stars since Nia and Kyle told me so much if that’s a comfort space to say-well as long as its not raining or the weather is too much it’s comforting to me…

Davy loves throwing tea parties! Usually he’ll invite all the stuffed animals in the Pad (mostly his and Peters but sometime he ransacks the Michael’s’ room for theirs) and have very deep and grown up conversations with them (such as how to stay in the lines while colouring). But if they’re not busy, he’s able to rope the guys into attending and makes them wear boas and tiaras (some less reluctantly than others). He’ll call them rude and remind them of manners if they don’t stick their pinkies up when drinking. Davy prefers when the guys join him because they’re allowed to have real tea, Mike doesn’t trust him with hot beverages if he’s not right next to him

Davy gets so excited when he invites the guys to his tea parties. he makes invitations (that are pretty much unreadable but the guys just pretend it’s too fancy for them to comprehend and have davy read it for them) Most of the time peter will join in in most of davy’s tea parties, pretend tea or not. they set up a bunch of pillows in the corner by the hammock (which has also become their dedicated pillow fort spot. they also sometimes do pillow forts in their bedroom!) but sometimes it’s just davy and every stuffed animal in the house (and sometimes wooden animals, and the cookie jar shaped like a chicken…)

Davy loves tea parties with the guys though because he gets to be all “in the know”. usually the other guys have to explain all the american things to him but now HE can explain to THEM all the british things! (he totally doesn’t make some stuff up, which definitely didn’t cause peter to think that he needed to do some silly thing before drinking the tea when they went to go visit davys family in england)

Micky totally goes all out with the costumes (see glamrock glitter micky from the 70s) and he’ll run upstairs and then model walk down the spiral steps in a boa and tiara and having broken out the ms. arcadian dress, ready to play Duchess whateverthename (complete with a small bag of glitter that he can throw whenever he needs to accentuate a point. mike tries his hardest to ban this because they keep drinking the glitter that gets into their tea, but somehow the glitter bag always comes back) and proceeds to be the campiest, most eccentrically elegant noble-person from over-the-way-somewhere that anyone’s ever seen. It usually makes davy start to either giggle, or get really frustrated, depending on how obstinate micky decides to make his character. but usually it ends in davy falling on top of micky (while mike desperately moves teacups out of the way) and then micky ends up ticking davy.

They all put on characters for the tea parties. davy is The Host, “cordially” (he definitely knows how to pronounce “cordially” and does NOT whisper to mike for help pronouncing it. and mike also definitely knows how to pronounce it too and doesn’t panic a bit whenever davy asks him for help) inviting everybody to his tea party. Micky is as earlier described. Peter switches between a bunch of different roles but tends to forget that he’s suppsoed to be doing a british accent or to call davy “Mr. Jones” instead of “davy” and then davy scolds him. mike got all flustered about the tiara bit and just decides to show up in a sparkly cowboy type outfit (that definitely doesn’t include pieces of his irl nudie suit) and davy accepts him as “ah yes, the american.”

And mike has to be like “well davy honey—Uh, Mr. Jones—maybe the stuffies need to drink pretend tea.” and then davy will protest and mike needs to figure out how to not just say “davy, they don’t have mouths”

ok so, how do you think the marauders react to and feel about things they cannot control?

i think sirius is not too bothered by them, i see him as a quite laidback person and knows that if some things have to happen, they happen. remus panicks, that is his first instinct — he’s cautious generally, and something that he can’t control having the possibility of happening scares him; so, he runs away from it as much as he can. i think peter is the same way, not wanting to confront i think james tackles the problem when it does occur, otherwise tries not to think too much about it.

i think the funniest thing about the acau is that miles and peter don’t know things basic things about each other despite how long they’ve been around each other and interacted, and how much deep personal shit they know. They don’t know each other’s last names, and excuse that with “it never came up” & “why does that matter”. They don’t know each other’s birthday. They didn’t exchange numbers until two years of knowing each other, and only when forced. Peter still doesn’t know Miles’s true eye color, and up until the end of year 1, Miles wasn’t sure if Peter was a man or a woman.

I just recently rewatched NWH and I couldn't help but think Raimi Venom would have fit better than Sandman. Flint made his peace with Peter and didn't die fighting him. Eddie on the other hand...

Oh wait have I talked about my headcanon for the marvel time line involving vigilantes? Obviously this is all self indulgent headcanons and not involved in canon but anyways:

Technically speaking, all the mutants are first, but due to all the controversy and bias against them, people really don’t acknowledge them as being the first

Then Spidey is second, starting off as a teen in his homemade suit, but due to JJJ, he’s not even seen as a vigilante but as a menace

After that is the Fantastic Four, they’re very much in the public eye, so people start acknowledging those with powers, although it depends on how you define “vigilante”

Then after all that is when other vigilantes and established heroes come out of the woodwork

I just like it this way because I like the confusion it’d have with Spidey’s age and stuff, and because Johnny would try to establish himself as the “first” and it’d make Peter salty to no end, but also it makes sense to me for the mutants part about them always being first and people just not acknowledging them

(I didn’t include Captain America or the Black Panther as I definitely don’t think they count as “vigilantes” but rather superheroes in a legal sense)

When he gets out, the sun hurts his eyes. He finds he didn’t miss the sun at all.

He missed the moon though, and his first night out is staring at it, watching the light break through the darkness in the sky. 🌖

He waits a few days before going anywhere or doing anything.

His family (not that “family”) throws a party for his release but it’s bittersweet. His mom and dad aren’t there. Dino isn’t there. Lenny is there but only because he feels obligated. Several cousins twice removed. The only person he’s happy to see is Joey, who woke up from his coma and got released. Without someone he grew up with to talk to, I think he would have self destructed.

He doesn’t open up at first. It’s almost like he wants to pretend Oz was a bad dream. But it wasn’t. He has the scars to prove it.

He stays awake at night. He’s afraid of the dark now. Even though what happened happened in the light of day, he still fears what he can’t see. Nightmares and terrors.

He can never be who he was again. Ever. That man died in Oz. Peter pours one out for the old him every time he goes out. Think he uses drinking a little too much in the beginning.

“I’m fine, OK?” -he lied

When he does go out, he finds the world has changed too. He doesn’t know any popular songs or artists. He barely recognizes the architecture. Even the clothes are different.

He catches his face in a window. He looks so much more gaunt than he was, cheekbones more pronounced now, stomach thin, hair wild and five o’clock shadow showing. He does shave, but it makes him look like a person, and lord knows he doesn’t feel like a person right now.

He throws a pity party for himself for a week, intermittently crying and sometimes just disassociating and staring at a wall. The person who pulls him out of that pity party is Joey.

He finds Peter drinking in a bar they used to sneak into as kids. He comes up to Peter and lays down some harsh truths.

“You got out. Dino didn’t. You owe it to him.”

Peter figures he’s right. He’d live for all the guys in Oz who didn’t. ❤️‍🩹

Peter gets up the next day and actually dresses himself. He combs his hair and shaves his face. It makes him feel better to be clean.

It takes him a while to get a therapist, but he does. He remembers sister Pete and Dr. Nathan, remembering how gentle they were. His new shrink is Cheryl, a kind Bostonian Italian lady who understands his childhood.

She’s kind but firm with him, which is everything he needs.

One day she tells him the story of the cow and the buffalo.

The cow runs away when a storm is coming, and since they can’t outrun the storm, it takes twice as long for it to end. The buffalo, upon seeing a storm coming, runs directly at it, and it’s harder, but it ends quicker.

“Be the buffalo, Peter.”🥺

He gets a job. He’s an interior decorator. He knows it’s a “fag job”, but he likes rearranging spaces and making them aesthetically pleasing. It’s what he would have done if his father didn’t insist he become a “business man”.

He cuts ties with the “family”, which is okay because they didn’t want him anyway, but Peter starts cutting everyone from his life that makes it worse. The only person from the old life he keeps is Dino’s parents and Joey. He even writes to Zanghi in prison. Not Chucky though. Not after the scar on his eye.

He makes friends at work, people who all make small talk with him and don’t think he’s a disappointment.

He starts actually going out and doing everything. He’s a regular at a niche coffee shop/bookstore. The barista knows him by name, and knows his order before he asks.

“Espresso affogato and chocolate cornetto for Peter!”

He even coaches a little league soccer team. The kids love him. Look up to him. He’s a leader again.

“Coach Peter!”

He keeps his therapist and visits her every week. He even goes off his anti-depressants slowly. He accepts what happened to him; evil men hurt him, but that doesn’t define who he is. It says everything about them and nothing about him.

It doesn’t make him weak. He’s not a rape victim, he’s a rape survivor

He survived, now he has to live

He smiles now. He’s got a bright smile.

And he laughs, loudly

He gains a little weight back, which makes him extremely happy

He even goes out on a few dates, nothing special yet, but people who make him laugh and smile.

Joey and he still hand out. Joey is still in the “family”, but he never drags Peter into his shit. He’s just the only one who understands and sympathizes.

He even has sex for the first time in years. It’s an… experience. He unpacks it in therapy, but it felt nice to be touched again, and not violently. He realizes there’s a difference between sex and what happened to him. He feels safe in his own body again.

He feels more like himself now.

Peter Schibetta is okay. He’s finally okay.

Bonus: Peter digs charcuterie boards and is VERY good at making them. He makes boards that look absolutely delicious and knows how to pair everything together. It’s a talent he gets to explore now.

Author’s Note: I’ve always written Peter as a bisexual who doesn’t accept his partially gay identity. But the person I always see him doing well with is Diego from Umbrella Academy. I think Diego would protect him without judging him, and I just want my Petey baby to be happy.
