Obsession
Summary: Miguel tries to convince himself that his obsession with you was justified, but fails miserably as you spend the night over.
Pairing: Miguel O’Hara x spider-woman!reader
18+. Miguel POV. Obsessed and jealous Miguel. Inexperienced reader. Breeding kink. Sexual tension and frustration. Reader has nipple piercings.
Previous parts: 1 & 2 (you may enjoy this one separately, but might miss out on some context)
Miguel tried to convince himself that adding a mic to your digital suit was purely for safety purposes.
He really did try.
But he couldn’t keep from listening in when you first wore it on your way to the spider cafeteria.
He had just briefed a squad and was monitoring Nueva York through a multitude of hovering screens, as he stood on his platform.
Tapping quickly on the flickering surface, he was able to zoom in on you through the ceiling cameras.
You looked absolutely breathtaking.
The suit fit you like a glove and left little to the imagination. He was proud of his work. You deserved wearing something of his for everyone to see.
He saw you approaching a nearby table, taking a seat. In front of you were Jessica Drew and Peter B. Parker with Mayday who greeted you with warm smiles.
The sound of your voice echoed through the walls around him, as you extended your arms.
“Mayday! Baby! It’s so good to see you!”
The little girl broke into a giggle and began wriggling forward on Peter’s lap to reach you.
You promptly took her in your arms. “Did you miss me? Did you?” your voice was slight high-pitched and you wiggled your fingers, tickling her. “Oh, I have a present for her.”
“Really? That’s so nice of you,” Peter beamed.
“I don’t have it here, but I think she’ll love it,” you said, patting Mayday’s back lightly, earning a genuine hug from her.
Miguel felt his heart clench violently.
You were a natural with kids.
You were just too good to be true and he felt his hands clench tightly.
Would he ever be able to have you? To make you yearn for him? To breed you? To have children with you?
“Wait, is that a… digital suit?” Jessica’s voice cracked through the mic.
You had your back turned to him, so he couldn’t see your face, but he felt the warmth in your voice as you spoke, “It sure is!”
He groaned lowly.
There you were… his sweet girl.
“Who gave it to you?”
“Miguel,” you said with that tenderness he had grown to adore.
He could easily get addicted to you saying his name, and he could only hope that, one day, he might hear it a much more compelling setting.
“Miguel… O’Hara?”
You nodded.
From the screen he could see her exchanging looks with Peter.
“It looks really cool!” Peter smiled enthusiastically, inspecting your sleeves. “Wish he’d offer me one, too.”
Jessica chuckled. “Well, I’ve been here with him for months and he’s never given me one.”
Jessica…
It was to be expected. She was no fool. He had scouted her precisely because she was anything but that.
You had been recruited only three weeks ago, but the hold you had on him was tight. He had never felt this way before with someone else.
You straightened in your seat, as Mayday nibbled on your thumb. “Wait… do you think I should give it back?”
Miguel felt his heart jumpstart and panic build inside him.
“No — no! Jessica,” Perer shot her a glare who merely shrugged, before offering you a kind smile. “It looks great on you. Did you pick the colours?”
“Yes! I’m really happy with the final result,” you said, helping Mayday sit at the edge of the table, as you secured her with both hands. “It was his way of showing gratitute.”
Jessica snapped her fingers after taking a sip of her drink. “You’re helping him out with the portals, right?”
“We’re working on portal stabilisation and reduced motion sickness,” you said and he could almost taste the pride and passion in your voice. “We’re making some progress.”
Miguel had gotten used to the random erections you’d awake from him throughout the day. But this one felt particularly painful.
You were so smart and so devoted. He couldn’t even take credit for the progress, because it was mostly just you.
His sweet and clever girl.
He glanced down at the outline of his strained cock, clicking his tongue.
By the time his eyes settled on the monitor, Jessica had walked away momentarily and he saw Peter lean in.
“Hey… are you and Miguel… a thing?”
Miguel froze.
Mayday proceeded to wrap tiny fingers around some of his locks, tugging lightly.
He wish he could have seen your reaction.
“Oh! No! No… we’re just friends,” you quickly said, waving your hands rapidly. “He’s like a mentor to me, really.”
Anger flared inside him. A friend? A mentor? He knew deep down this made absolute sense, but it still made him seething with rage.
Peter didn’t seem all that convinced, but nodded. “Just wondering. He’s not usually this… kind?”
Miguel felt his fangs threaten to emerge as he gritted his teeth.
There had been nothing kind about him building you a suit. He hadn’t done it out of the goodness of his heart.
He wanted to claim you and this had been the easiest and safest way for now.
“Well, I know he’s a grumpy,” you chuckled with a shrug, as you patted Mayday on the back. “Maybe he’s changing?”
You wouldn’t want him to change. Not really. The level of devotion he had for you was unmatched and nothing you could ever have from someone else.
“Maybe you’re a good influence on him?” Peter concluded, tapping his chin. “As a friend, of course.”
“Peter….” he growled lowly.
“As a friend,” you nodded. “Besides, there’s…” but your voice trailed off.
His erection nearly immediately deflated as dread took over.
There’s what?
He turned up the mic’s volume, but winced instead, as you banged on the table.
You cleared your throat. “Well, gotta go! I have work to do.”
Peter took Mayday back into his lap and chuckled. “Don’t forget her present!”
“I won’t! Wish me luck, though,” you said, crossing your fingers as you started to walk away. “I really need these chips to stop blowing and melting on me!”
“Good luck! Say bye bye, Mayday,” Peter waved his hand, which the little girl promptly mimicked with a giggle.
“Bye, baby!” you beamed.
Miguel had had enough.
He switched off your mic with a tap on his watch.
He really had tried to convince himself that his obsession for you was justified. That is was rooted in more than lust and desire, but he wasn’t so sure anymore.
After you moved to Nueva York, he had you working closely to him on portal stabilisation.
But what had started out as something innocent, soon shifted into something else entirely.
Your company brought him peace and quiet, and ticket his brain just the right way to keep him motivated.
Until it didn’t.
Until you became his torment.
He had let you in his life in the hopes that you let him in yours.
The first time you gave him a boner was when he walked in on you in the lab, wearing nothing but a tank top and a pencil pressed firmly in between your lips, as you moved from screen to screen to check on the update progress.
The worst part? You didn’t even notice how utterly delicious you looked and how he could easily bend you over and take you right there.
No.
You just offered him a sweet smile.
One he hadn’t recovered from ever since.
“Miguel?”
He jolted as the voice snapped him from his torturous thoughts. “What?”
Lyla hovered nearby, eyeing him closely. “Fangs out,” she wiggled her index finger disapprovingly. “Pavitr and Hobie are waiting for you.”
His fangs retracted slowly as he tried to gain his composure back. “Why?”
“Mission?” she quirked an eyebrow.
Right.
“Now?”
“You’re already late.”
He growled, tapping on a few screens hurriedly.
“Oh, and Miguel?”
“What?”
The hologram popped near the screen to his left. “You might want to be more subtle when using her in-suit mic.”
He gave her narrow side-glace. “What do you mean?”
“Just saying,” she said, adjusting her heart-shapped glasses. “You’re not the only tech savvy spider here.”

The door to his apartment swung open at once, and he stepped inside ready to decompress from the tiresome mission.
He had made plans with some of your audio recordings and his hand, hoping that would be enough to easy the pent-up tension that had been looming over year throughout the way.
It was a less than ideal situation, but would have to do for now.
That was until he noticed his living room was lit.
Pacing rapidly he was met with you.
In the middle of a pile of papers and electronic components scattered around the floor, he saw you sitting cross-legged with a pencil danging from your lips, his digital suit clinging tightly to your body.
“What are you doing here?”
Your bead snapped in his direction and the pencil tumbled to the floor. “Miguel! Lyla let me in.”
He was rooted in place.
Had it been someone else, he would have flung them through the window with no warning.
But you weren’t just someone.
And Lyla wouldn’t have let someone else enter his apartment, either.
“It’s quite late,” he said, pacing carefully toward you as not to step on anything. “You could have called me.”
You waved a hand dismissively and held a circular metallic object in the other. “Catch!”
Before he could say anything back, you had tossed it in his direction, which he quickly grabbed in between his fingers.
“Found what was wrong with it,” you smiled proudly. “It was stupid of me, really. There wasn’t any thermal paste in it. That’s why it kept blowing up.”
Miguel stared at the chip in his hand and blinked a few times.
“I assumed you were using it from the start,” he said, inspecting the cross section.
You rose to your feet in an instant and joined his site, excitement spilling from you. “These ion batteries should not require thermal paste — not for this amount of energy, at least. But yeah… my bad,” you said, rubbing the back of your neck.
Miguel locked eyes with yours and felt a familiar tingle in his body.
Fuck.
You were just so ridiculously attractive, and he wish he could hear you ramble about tech and science for hours.
“This is really, really good news,” he said genuinely, handing the chip back to you.
He squeezed your arm lightly as encouragement, knowing fully well he should be rewarding you in other ways.
His sweet girl…
You darted back to the floor, gathering some papers. “Sorry for the mess. I just had to figure this out and couldn’t sleep.”
A scientist at heart, you were.
Blood began to rush to his groin in no time. It couldn’t be helped. His body had been so on edge to finally fuck you, that it was in this permanent state of arousal around you.
“It’s fine. I still have those moments,” he said softly, crouching to help you out. “Sometimes I can’t sleep, and I have to do something else.”
“Like what?”
“I either go to the lab, or…” I jerk off to the thought of being buried deep inside you, he wanted to say.
You eyed him expectantly, biting your lip lightly, further hardening his cock.
“Well, it’s a bit late,” Miguel eventually said, standing tall. “Maybe you should get back to your apartment?”
He hated himself for even suggesting such option, but he didn’t want to push his luck. You being here would be fuel enough for the rest of the night as he fucked his hand.
“Oh, you just got back from a mission,” you fought back a yawn, tossing your backpack over your shoulder. “I’ll just leave.”
Miguel nodded, but was crumbling inside.
Your face lit up again. “But this was great, right?”
Please stay.
“You did great,” he said with a short smile. “Go get some rest.”
Please…
You made your way down the hall and waved at him. “See you in the morning, Miguel.”
He should have let you go.
But something took over him, before he could fight it back.
“Actually, you could stay. It’s nearly four in the morning,” he tried to sound as casual as possible, but the excitement was hard to contain. “And we have to head back to the lab early.”
You turned around and he stopped breathing.
Too much?
Then he the backpack slide down your arm, hittingbthe floor with a thud. “Oh, thank you! I really didn’t feel like swinging back to my apartment,” you voice held pure gratitude and he felt his ego soar. “Only… I don’t have any clothes.”
He shook his head as realisation hit him. “Right. Wait here.”
“Okay~”
Bolting into his room, he went through his closet, fetching a shirt and a robe.
But before heading out, he decided to change into some sweatpants and a shirt himself.
His erection welcomed the looser material, and he’d be able to better conceal it from you.
Taking a final look at his cock, Miguel decided to give it a few pumps as if trying to calm it down.
He couldn’t believe his luck.
He couldn’t believe his sweet girl would be so close to him in his clothes and apartment.
And bed.
As he exited the room and handed the clothes to you, he cleared his throat. “You can take my bed.”
You looked up at him. “Oh… no, Miguel. You just came back from a mission.”
“I’m not that tired. Just take it.”
Please.
“Are you sure?”
“One hundred percent.”
Anything that was his was yours. He would give it all to you.
“Be right back,” you said, before disappearing into the bathroom, closing the door behind you.
He immediately sighed in relief, adjusting his cock, feeling the first beads of precum spill from the tip.
How was he to survive this?
Not long after, you emerged again.
He glanced over at the length of you, taking in the sight of his shirt and robe on you. Your legs were still covered with the digital suit, but you looked absolutely ready to be devoured.
But he couldn’t do it.
Not yet.
His cock twitched in his pants, yearning to be inside you.
Then something else caught his attention when his moved up your body.
It couldn’t be…
Two symmetrical protuberances poked through the fabric of your shirt — his shirt.
“Are those…” his voice faltered momentarily, not trusting his own eyes.
You followd his line of sight and giggled. “Oh! Yeah. Got them pierced way back. Wanted to defy my dad and got them out of spite,” you went on, adjusting the fabric of the shirt under the robe. “But eventually kept them. They look cute.”
Cute?
Miguel was at a loss for words.
Your voice mixed with your carefree posture sent jolts directly into his cock.
“I…” he swallowed the lump in his throat. “I didn’t notice them before,” he said, feeling his mouth run dry.
“I was wearing a bra,” you replied with a shrug and a tender smile.
This was almost comically painful.
You were the closest thing he had ever known to innocence as of late. Yet here you stood, wearing just his shirt, no bra, and with your pierced nipples poking through his shirt.
But none of that seemed to matter to you.
You were completely oblivious of how painfully hard he was for you.
“Did it hurt?”
“Terribly,” you said, still glacing down at your breasts and hardened nipples. “But I think it’s worth it.”
The adorable way in which you said it was almost driving him insane.
Just how innocent could one person be…
Before he could even process his thoughts, he spoke, “Can I…”
Your eyes met his and Miguel feared he had now fucked it up for good.
Brilliant, Miguel…
“Oh, you mean… you want to see them?”
Should he back down and just deny his intentions?
“You’ve never seen nipple piercings before?”
He shook his head.
Just as he was about to tell you to forget it, you lifted his shirt, revealing your breasts to him.
He nearly exploded right there and then.
“Oh, please!” she giggled. “We’re people of science, and you haven’t seen this before. Science is all about curiosity and discovery.”
Miguel, however, wasn’t listening to any of that and felt as though he was hypnotised. He could tear his eyes away from your perky nipples and the metal rods that went through them, a tiny spider danging from each of them.
He wasn’t sure when or how he had got so close to you, but he lifted his hand to touch one.
His cock twitched violently and he felt his mind hazy with lust.
“They’re cool, right?” you beamed, allowing him to swipe the pad of his thumb across the tiny spider.
“Yeah.”
Really ‘cool’.
More precum dripped from his tip and had to fight back his fangs from slipping out.
He wanted to bend over and dart his tongue out to play with them. He wanted to tug on them and wanted you to arch your back with a soft moan.
You pulled down the shirt again and he flinched his hand back instantly, swallowing hard.
“So… if — when you have a baby and want to breastfeed… will there be an issue?”
Of course his need to breed you had to surface at the worst possible time.
But he had to know. He needed to know if that would be a nuisance. He couldn’t take any risks and he wanted you completely ready to carry his children.
You shrugged, adjusting the robe around you. “I wasn’t thinking that far ahead when I got them, but I suppose I just have to take them out.”
He nodded, taking a few steps back.
You stretched out with a yawn. “Mind if I go to sleep now?”
“Of course,” he nodded.
You were about to whirl on your feet, but decided against it. “How do you say ‘thank you’ in Spanish?”
That caught him off guard and his eyes widened. “Gracias.”
Then you gave him the sweetest smile. “Gracias, Miguel.
He could cum just from this alone.
How he would teach you the filthiest things in Spanish… how he would whisper them in your ear, knowing fully well you couldn’t understand a word…
You then slipped into his room and closed the door.
He ran both hands through his hair, wanting to let out a scream.
The things he wanted to do to you…
The things you deserved done to you…
He brought one hand down to tug at his waistband, revealing his soaked cock.
Then he bit the back of his other hand.
Hard.
He didn’t even care if he drew blood.
He couldn’t take this anymore.
Engulfed with overwhelming frustration, he pressed his forehead against the tall window that overlooked Nueva York.
He had to calm down, or else he’d have to synthesise a serum to lower his levels of testosterone…
He had to find a way to stop.
As minutes ticked by, he decided to check your bio readings on his watch. Your heart rate had lowered significantly, indicating him you were now asleep.
The predator in him took control again and he paced towards his bedroom, opening the door just enough to check on you.
Fast asleep.
He walked in with careful steps, finally taking in the sight of you on his bed.
The floor-to-ceiling windows allowed for the faintest moonlight to be cast on you.
He felt his heart was about to implode as he drew near, slowly sitting by the edge of the mattress.
You lay on your back, breathing evenly and covered up to your waist with a blanket.
Miguel took a deep and shaky breath.
You smelled of him and his bedsheets smelled of you.
Such a powerful and dangerous combination, that he almost considered gripping his cock.
Bur decided against it.
Instead, he say there, staring at you, absorbing every single detail of your body.
His hand twitched as an itch took over it.
An itch he had to scratch.
He reached out to graze the back of one finger along your forearm, feeling your warmth coating his skin.
His sweet girl…
His imagination ran wild and he had hoped he could have fucked you to sleep, not sliding out of you, making sure you’d take his seed.
Pain swallowed him whole as despair settled.
What if he never managed to make you his?
What if you decided you wanted nothing more than a friendship?
How could he cope?
Suddenly, you flinched and rolled to your side and heaved a deep sigh. “Oh, Tom…”
Miguel was left petrified and his blood ran cold.
Who the fuck was Tom?

Lunch period at Midtown High was always chaotic. The hallways are filled with smelly, hangry teenagers who don’t know how to say “excuse me”. It never bothered you though, not really anyways. You had your friends to keep you company, even in class. MJ always made Honors Calculus more enjoyable, and Ned kept you occupied in Spanish. Peter on the other hand, it was hard to focus whenever you were in class with him.
It started out with small things. Little touches while handing you vials in Chemistry, or the smiles he would give you in Honors Calc. Lunch period was where you started to zone out the most. Even though there were no teachers to notice, your friends definitely could tell.
Peter always seemed to find a way to sit beside you during lunch, casually striking up conversations about anything and everything. Not that you complained about it. MJ would exchange knowing glances with Ned, who would tease you endlessly about your obvious crush on Peter.
“Hey!” You turn as you hear your name being called. It was MJ, trying to catch up with you from her last class. “How was Film Lit?”
“Hey, Ah, y’know, Mr. Micucci never really shows anything interesting so…” You trail off after seeing Peter and Ned up ahead.
“You’re such a film snob,” MJ teased, nudging you playfully but you weren’t listening. “Uhm hello? Anyone in there?”
You’re brought back to reality as your friend waves her hand in front of your face. “Huh, sorry?”
“Dude, you totally were staring at Peter.” She said as you both stopped in the middle of the hallway.
You can feel the blush rising to your cheeks at her words, but you play it off with a laugh. "What? No way, I was just...” MJ raises an eyebrow at you, clearly not buying it. “Besides, Peter is just a friend.”
"Sure, just a friend who you can't take your eyes off of," she teases, bumping your shoulder as you start walking again. You roll your eyes, but there's a small part of you that can't deny the truth in her words.
As you approach Peter and Ned, you see them deep in conversation. Ned is animatedly telling a story while Peter listens, a small smile playing on his lips. You can't help but smile at the sight, feeling lucky to have such good friends by your side.
“Hey nerds,” MJ greets, “What is it this time? Star Wars or?”
Peter looks up with a grin as you and MJ approach, his eyes lighting up as he sees you. "Hey guys! Actually, we were just talking about the new Captain America musical on broadway!”
"Really? That sounds... interesting," you reply, trying to hide your amusement at the thought of a musical about Captain America. Ned launches into an excited explanation about the show.
As you all make your way to the cafeteria, Peter falls into step beside you, his shoulder lightly brushing yours. You feel a jolt of electricity at the contact, making it difficult to focus on the conversation.
Once you reach an empty table, you all sit down and start unpacking your lunches. MJ pulls out a sandwich while Ned eagerly unwraps a burrito. Peter, as usual, has brought a homemade lunch complete with a note from Aunt May.
"So, are you guys coming over tonight to work on the history project?" Ned asks between bites of his burrito.
"I wish I could, but I have to cover a shift at the bookstore," MJ replies apologetically.
You glance over at Peter, waiting for his reply. "Yeah, I'll be there. Maybe we can order some pizza while we work?" Peter suggests with a smile.
“I’ll be there!” You smile at both Ned and Peter. “Only if we can listen to my playlist.”
Peter's eyes light up "Deal! As long as we get to listen to my playlist after," he teases, nudging you playfully. You roll your eyes but can't help the smile that tugs at your lips.
Ned groans, “Oh no, not your playlist again. We don’t need a repeat of the incident from last time.”
The rest of lunch is spent in easy conversation and laughter, the usual banter flowing effortlessly between the four of you. Despite the chaotic surroundings, there's a sense of calm whenever you're with your friends, especially when Peter is beside you.
As the bell signaling the end of lunch period rings, you all gather up your belongings and start making your way to your next classes. Peter falls into step beside you once again, and this time, he reaches out to lightly bump his shoulder against yours.
"See you after school for the project?" Peter asks, a hopeful glint in his eyes. You nod, feeling a flush of excitement at the thought of spending more time with him outside of school.
“I’ll meet you on the steps.” You grin as he walks away.
Tumblr media
Your last class seemed to drone on for hours. None of your friends were in it so you seemed exhausted by the end of it. You can't help but replay the small moments with Peter over and over in your head, his laughter, his smile, the way he always seemed to find a reason to be near you.
Not realizing the bell had rung, you looked around to see your classmates were all packed up and leaving. You hurriedly packed your bag, eager to meet Peter outside to walk to Ned’s house together.
Once you get outside, you notice him standing at the bottom of the steps looking for you. You notice him turn to see you as you walk by down the stairs. Peter flashed you a bright smile as you approached, and your heart skipped a beat at the sight.
"Hey, you ready to go?" Peter asked as you joined him at the bottom of the steps. You nodded, feeling a rush of excitement. The two of you started walking towards Ned's house, the familiar route feeling different somehow with Peter by your side.
As you chatted about random things like the latest Spider-Man sightings in the city and your upcoming history project, you couldn't shake off the nervous energy bubbling inside you. There was something about Peter's presence that made you feel at ease.
“Pete?” You start, “You know you’re one of my best friends right?”
He smiles, “Of course!”
“Good," you continued, feeling a rush of courage. "Because lately, I've been thinking...”
You both stop walking as your sentence trails off. Staring at the ground you can’t bring yourself to say the next set of words.
“Hey.” You hear Peter say softly. Looking up you see his round eyes staring back at you with a soft smile spreading across his lips. “I know you can say whatever it is you’re trying to tell me.”
Taking a deep breath you finally continue, “Peter Parker, I would really like to take you on a date.”
Peter's smile widens at your words, his eyes lighting up with surprise and joy. "I would love that," he says, his voice filled with warmth. The nervous energy inside you dissipates, replaced by a sense of relief and happiness at his response.
The two of you continue walking towards Ned's house, the weight of unspoken words now lifted from your shoulders. You can't help but steal glances at Peter, a smile tugging at your lips as you think about the possibility of going on a date with him.
When you reach Ned's house, he greets you both enthusiastically at the door and leads you to his room where you'll be working on the history project. As you settle in with your laptops and textbooks, Peter shifts closer to you, his shoulder brushing yours in a silent gesture of comfort and support.
You feel a rush of warmth at the simple touch, grateful for Peter's presence beside you. The three of you dive into the project, discussing ideas and sharing laughs as the afternoon turns into evening. Peter's eyes meet yours from across the table, a silent understanding passing between you.
Ned excused himself to use the restroom halfway through the study session, leaving you and Peter alone in his room. The silence wasn’t awkward, but it wasn’t comforting either.
Peter cleared his throat, breaking the quiet. "So... about that date," he started, a hint of nervousness in his voice.
You turned to face him, a smile playing on your lips. "Yes, about that date," you echoed.
He smiled back, “I was thinking about taking you to a museum or maybe Central Park?”
“Central Park is perfect!”
“I also wanted to take you to this cafe near the park too.”
“I would really love that, Peter.”
As Ned returns to the room, you both continue on with your work. When it was finally time for you both to go home, you hugged and said your goodbye to Ned, and thanked his Lola for the food. Peter said his goodbyes, and you both started walking towards the train.
The train ride was filled with a comfortable silence, the occasional glances and smiles shared between you and Peter speaking volumes. As the train pulled into your stop, you both stepped out onto the bustling platform and started walking towards your respective homes.
"Tonight was great," Peter said, breaking the silence. "I can't wait for our date at Central Park."
You smiled back at him,"Me too. Thanks for saying yes."
"Of course I said yes. I've been wanting to ask you out for a while now."
“What?” you say surprised.
“Yeah,” he says rubbing the back of his neck “I just was really nervous you would say no.”
Your heart skipped a beat at his confession, realizing that your feelings were reciprocated all this time. The walk to your apartment felt shorter than usual, because in no time you reached your building.
“Well, it looks like this is me.” You say, stalling. “So, tomorrow? For our Date? Since it is Saturday and all.”
"Absolutely," Peter replies with a warm smile. "I'll meet you at Central Park tomorrow afternoon."
You nod, and run up the stairs to your apartment. Your older brother takes note first on how giddy you are as you run inside. Then your mom notices.
“There’s no way you’re this excited about a project.” he says unamused. “Wait. Did he?”
You drop your bag and smile at your brother. “Mhm!”
“Did who what?” Your mom asks from the kitchen table.
“Peter totally asked her out finally!”
Your mom stands up, taking her glasses off excitedly. “He did!”
You giggle at the excitement your family was portraying. “Well actually, I asked him. But, he did most of the planning!”
The three of you chat for a while before you decide to go to bed.
Tumblr media
The night felt like forever as you tossed and turned in bed, your thoughts consumed by your date with Peter. Every nerve in your body seemed to be tingling with excitement and a touch of nervousness, but deep down, you felt a sense of contentment knowing that you would be spending the day with him.
Waking up the next day, you went through your usual routine with a little more excitement. Your brother helped you with your outfit, since he was going to the most prestigious fashion college in New York City.
As you got ready for your date, your mind raced with possibilities. Would he let you hold his hand? What would you talk about? Would Peter still make your heart skip a beat like he always did?
With one last look in the mirror, and approval from both your mom and brother you grab your small backpack and head out the door to meet Peter.
The sun was shining brightly as you walked towards Central Park. You spot Peter waiting for you near the entrance, a bright smile on his face. As you approach him, he greets you and hugs you tightly.
"Hey," Peter says, his eyes filled with warmth. "You look amazing."
You feel a blush creep up your cheeks at his compliment. "Thanks. You don't look too bad yourself."
Peter chuckles, a grin playing on his lips. "Shall we?" he asks, gesturing towards the park.
You nod, and the two of you enter Central Park, the bustling city noises fading into the background as you walk along the winding pathways. The air is filled with laughter and chatter of families enjoying the weekend, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
As you walked further into the park, a sense of serenity washed over you. The sun peeked through the trees, casting a warm glow over everything around you. Peter led you to a quiet spot by a tranquil pond, where a gentle breeze rustled the leaves above you. You sat down on a bench together, the sound of chirping birds providing a soothing soundtrack to your date.
Peter turned to you, his gaze soft yet full of excitement. "I'm really glad we're here together," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Me too," you replied, reaching out to take his hand in yours.
His fingers intertwined with yours, fitting perfectly as if they were always meant to be together.
“How long have you liked me, y’know, more than friends?” he asks curiously.
“A while,” you giggle, “probably when you were mixing random chemicals together in Chem class.”
He groans at this admission. “You don’t mean when I made that drawer explode right?”
“Yep exactly then, I think.” You look down at your hands interlaced together. “What about you?”
He smiles and looks up at the sky for a moment. “Probably when you went on that rant about how Capybaras would make better pets than Dogs.”
You both burst into laughter. Your laughter echoed through the park, blending with the rustling leaves and chirping birds around you. As your laughter subsided, a comfortable silence settled between you, filled with unspoken words and shared emotions.
Peter turned to you, his eyes meeting yours. “I really am glad you got the courage to ask me out.”
“I’m just really glad you didn’t turn me down.” You sigh.
Peter's warm smile never wavered as he reached out to tuck a loose strand of hair behind your ear. "I could never turn you down," he said softly, his gaze unwavering. "I've always known there was something special between us, even before we realized it ourselves."
"I've never felt this way about anyone before," you confessed, your heart pounding in your chest.
"Me neither," he admitted, “Is it okay if I kiss you now?”
Without another word, you leaned in towards Peter, closing the gap between you. His lips met yours in a gentle, tender kiss, sending a jolt of electricity through your entire being.
As you pull away, you can hear Peter sigh softly before opening his eyes. You both smile brightly at each other, while exchanging awkward giggles.
"Wow," he whispered, his breath mingling with yours.
"Wow indeed," you replied softly.
The rest of the afternoon was spent walking hand in hand through Central Park, sharing stories, dreams, and stolen kisses.
The sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the park. Peter decides that heading to the cafe before It closes was the best thing to do. The two of you found a cozy table by the window, the soft golden light illuminating your faces as you talked and laughed over cups of coffee.
“How did you even find this place?” You ask.
After taking a long sip of his coffee, he sets down his mug, “I was in the neighborhood and saw it one day. I just wanted to try it.”
“How do you think Ned and MJ will react?”
“I think they’ll be relieved they won’t have to deal with us hiding our crushes.” He laughs, followed by your own.
“They’re really good at keeping secrets,” you begin.”Which is kind of scary.”
As the evening wore on, Peter walked you back to your apartment, hand in hand under the starlit sky. The familiar streets seemed transformed by the magic of the night, each moment etching itself into your memory as if trying to make it last forever.
“I had an amazing time today.” Peter says as you guys reach your building.
“Me too, Peter.” You smile. “Thank you for the coffee.”
Peter took a step closer, his hand reaching up to gently cup your cheek. “I wish the night went on longer.”
“This doesn’t have to be our only date if you don’t want it to be.”
His eyes sparkled with hope and affection. "I definitely want more than just one date with you," he said softly, his thumb brushing against your cheek.
With a smile tugging at the corners of your lips, you leaned closer to him, closing the gap between you once again in a sweet and lingering kiss.
Pulling away, you look up to see your mom and brother watching from the fire escape. “I should probably get inside.” you announce.
“Wait!” he starts, “Uh, I was just wondering if you wanted to make it official?”
“Official?” you echo
“Yeah, like will you officially go out with me?”
You smile wide and nod to his question. “Yes, Peter, Of course!”
He returns the smile and wraps you in a warm hug. “I’m so glad.”
Pulling away from him once again, “Goodnight, Peter!” you say before climbing the steps to your building.
“Good night!”
As Peter begins to walk home, you can’t help but look back at him and watch as he looks back at you. He waves once more before disappearing around the corner, leaving you standing on the steps with a contented smile on your face.
You really were glad you got the courage to finally ask him on a real date. Maybe you would have the courage to ask him if he was actually Spider-Man in the future, or decide if MJ made that up.

You received a smile in return, and crinkles appeared at the corner of his eyes. “Hi,” he said softly. After another moment of silence, a brief calmness from the morning rush, it felt like time had slowed down. “Are you alright?” he asked.
“Yeah…” you trailed, a little breathless. “I’m just running late. I was supposed to meet, un, a friend for coffee.”
He looked at his watch and then back at you. “Well, I, un, I was on my way to get coffee too.” he reached a hand up, running it through his hair. “I was going to ask if you wanted to join me. Call it even for nearly knocking you over?”
You hesitated, taking a deep breath you thought it over quickly. “I guess that could work. I’m sure my friend will understand…” you trailed off, looking down at your phone, looking at the time.
He grinned, extending his hand to gesture to the way he was walking, “Sounds like a plan.”
He led the way to a nearby cafe, and as you settled into a cozy corner table, you found yourself thinking about the bar coffee. A smile spreads across your face as the memories of Mr Howlett making it exactly how you liked it.
“So, what do you do?” you asked as he sat in the chair opposite you, handing you your order.
“I’m a photographer,” he said, his eyes lighting up as he began to speak about his job. “I mostly do freelance work, but I’m currently helping out at the newspaper. What about you?”
You shared a bit about your job and your sketches. He listened intently, nodding and asking thoughtful questions that made you feel heard.
As the conversation flowed, you felt a connection with him. He was easy to talk to, for the first time in a fortnight, you felt at ease.
~
You sat alone at the table, waiting for him to return from the bathroom. You decided to take this moment to send a message to Natasha and Wanda. Bring up your group chat, you quickly drafted a message before hitting send.
“Do we know this person? Peter Parker? I met him a few hours ago and want to make sure he’s not another Walker.”
Before you could even set your phone down, it buzzed with a response from Natasha.
Nat: We haven’t heard of him before, do you want us to ask the guys?
Quickly, you replied: NO.
A sense of urgency rushed through you as Peter returned to the table. You quickly pocketed your phone, wanting to get back to the pleasant conversation. Just as you engaged back in the small talk, your phone buzzed again.
You tried to remain composer as you discreetly retrieved your phone, glancing at the screen. Another message from the group chat, this time it was from Wanda.
Wanda: Find out more about him, and we’ll help you figure it out.
You smiled at your phone, a rush of gratitude for their support, as Peter continued to chat animatedly about his photography. Pocketing your phone again, you found yourself drawn into his passion and enthusiasm. Lost in the moment, you couldn’t help but smile. You realized how effortlessly the conversation flowed.
As the hours passed and the cafe began to empty, you wished that time would stop.
At some point, you managed to reply to Natasha and Wanda but hadn’t thought about your phone since then. The reality of the outside began to creep back, and you reluctantly realized it was time to part ways.
Bidding farewell to Peter, you exchanged numbers and promised to meet again soon. You walked away from the cafe with a sense of hope.
~
As you settled into the comfort of your living room, you found yourself unable to contain the giddy excitement. Alpine jumped up and snuggled into your lap as you reached for your phone. With Peter’s number saved, you couldn’t resist the urge to text him.
Fingers danced across the screen, typing out your message to him. “Hey, Peter! 😊I just wanted to say that I had a lovely time today. Can’t wait to do it again!”
You held your breath as you pressed send. The minutes ticked as you waited anxiously for his response. Just as you were about to give up hope, a notification lit up your screen. “Hey! 😄 I had an amazing time! Let’s definitely meet up again soon!”
A grin spread across your face, a rush of butterflies fluttering in your stomach. Unable to contain your excitement, you clutched your phone to your chest, giggling like a teenager.
Alpine’s warm presence added to the cozy atmosphere which amplified your sense of contentment. With the new energy coursing through you, you quickly typed another message. Your finger practically flying across the screen.
Lost in a flurry of texts, you hardly noticed the time. And, before you knew it, the night had slipped away. The soft light of the morning sun peeked through the curtains.

Chapter 1. Maybe
Miguel was preparing himself for that dreading conversation by the daybeds with Peter B, who was giving him a pep talk.
He felt bad that he wasn’t feeling that strong of a connection like she did, he thought he may as well be up front and honest and just rip off the bandaid but ultimately it would have to wait when he suddenly gets a text.
“I got a text!!!” Miguel yelled and there were gasps from all over the villa before everyone ran up to him and Peter B.
“What’s it say?!?” Asked Dana, who he was coupled up with, quickly plopped down next to him and tried peering over his shoulder but he instead leaned onto Peter.
Loads of bodies on the daybed and the one next to it as everyone had wide eyes awaiting for Miguel to tell them. He moved his phone to the side, letting Peter B read it.
Miguel burst out laughing and Peter B was slapping his arm trying to hide his own laughter but ultimately failed. “What is it?!?” Asked MJ, the redhead who was coupled up with Peter B.
Miguel calmed himself down and cleared his throat, “Miguel, the public have decided you should go on a date with me.” He could practically feel all the eyes on him and Dana shifted next to him as he continued, “I’m waiting for you in the hot tub on the hideaway terrace, come and join me. Love Y/n. #FirstDateFeels #NewConnections”
As soon as the words “hot tub” came out of his mouth all the guys screamed and jumped on top of him which made Dana scoff and get off the bed as the other girls exchanged looks.
“This is just what you needed!” Peter B whispered in his ear as the other three og guys and the two newbies were hyping Miguel up.
“You gotta change!” David said and laughed.
They all got off him and they all helped him up before quickly leading him away from the daybeds and to go inside to change, to avoid Dana’s expected wrath.
They all ran up and went inside before cheering as soon as the door closed.
All the guys screamed for Miguel and hugged him, knowing this was the perfect opportunity for him to explore other options considering Dana put all her eggs and more into his basket already.
“This could not have come at a better time man!!” Daniel said giving him a grin before patting him on the back.
Miguel waves him off as he looks through his designated drawer and picks a red pair of swim trunks. “No seriously because think about it, if you have a better connection with this girl, you’ll get a chance to stay away from godzilla.” The second Peter stated making Miguel burst out laughing.
“She isn’t that bad…” Peter B says and the rest of them turn to look at him with the same look on their faces.
“Alright she’s bad.” He sighs and shrugs, “but maybe this girl will be normal and who knows maybe the one.” He adds, elbowing Miguel’s side as he took his shirt off.
“Maybe.” Miguel mumbled as he fixed the strings of his trunks before stuffing his phone in his pocket.
“And the public chose you for her, so who knows maybe they’ll be the perfect matchmakers.” Peter says enthusiastically making Miguel nod and hope this goes well.
“How do I look?” He asks and walks over to the mirror by the first bed.
He fixed his hair then turned to the guys and they give him pats on the back, hyping him up before letting him walk off by himself.
He took a few deep breathes before walking out of the bedroom and past the lounge room, opening the door to the hideaway and walking in. His nerves hit him and he thought of how he hadn’t felt that spark yet, he really wanted to feel it like how both Peter’s already have with MJ and Gwen.
He wanted to have his own happy ending. He wanted to find love so badly.
And you wanted the same.
You’d been sat on top of the edge of the hot tub for a good ten minutes before you finally heard footsteps and you straightened up, fixing the straps of your bikini when he walked out.
All the nerves had left his body as soon as he saw you, probably the most gorgeous girl he’s laid his eyes on.
You were wearing a red two piece bikini that had straps crossed over your body, the bikini bottom’s straps made an x across your stomach with them sitting perfectly on your waist.
The bikini top’s straps were tightened perfectly to uplift your tits, not exaggeratedly but enough to catch some eyes.
Which it obviously did.
Miguel took a quick look, checking you out while giving you a wide grin which you returned. “Hello.” You say and let out a little laugh, not really expecting how to go about this.
“Hey, how are you?” He asks walking closer to the hot tub but first setting aside a towel and his phone to a chair.
“I’m good, how are you?” You respond and take the singular second to admire his back, the way every muscle moved to the tiniest of movements he made.
“Better now honestly.” He jokes making you chuckle.
His journey had been one that caught your eye, the girl he’s coupled up with has been quite…. Possessive.
Which is insane in itself because it’s barely the fourth night but now looking at him in person versus a screen, you somewhat understood.
“Wanna join me?” You asked and he turned around quickly nodding before climbing up the stairs and carefully stepping in.
You stood up and went in for a hug which he gladly accepted before you kissed each others cheeks then separated. You went back to your corner and sat down while he sat down in front of you. “Seems we accidentally matched tonight huh?” You joke and he laughs looking down at his red trunks and your matching bikini.
“Seems so. Who knows maybe it’s meant to be.” He jokes back with a little shrug making you nod and shrug as well.
“I guess we‘ll have to see.” You reply and sit back trying to hide the smile on your face.
He was already so easy to talk to.
“So what do you do for a living?” He asks and you straighten up.
“I just graduated from nursing school a few weeks ago!” You say to which he gasps and nods.
“Wait so how old are you?” He asks, looking at you so intently.
“I am twenty four, I took a bit of a break from school and got back into it when I was twenty where I found my love for medicine and helping people.” You explained and he nodded.
“You said you were a geneticist right?” You asked and he nodded once again.
“Guess we’re both little science nerds then huh?” You say making him laugh.
“Definitely wouldn’t expect to find someone who likes science out here.” He says making you chuckle.
“Well I’m glad I’m here then.” You respond, making him grin.
“What do you like to do in your free time?” You ask and he takes a second to think before responding, “I like going out to get drinks and going to soccer games with my friends, when I can anyway because I do work a lot.”
“Ah so this is like a vacation for you huh?” You joke making him chuckle.
“In a way for sure. I mean we’re in beautiful Spain so can’t complain, and being surrounded by great company is also a plus.” He says with a cheeky smile and that last part made your heart jump a beat.
“Well I’m definitely with good company right now so my time is off to an amazing start.” You respond and give him your own smile, slowly feeling your cheeks grow warm.
“What would you get up to when you’re not burying yourself in textbooks?” He asks, making you laugh.
“Well when I could I’d go out to clubs with my friends and even rarely concerts, which I absolutely love but had such a hard time going to because of how jam-packed my schedule would be.” You explain and his eyes were on you the whole time, taking in every word you spoke as if he wanted to remember every detail about you.
“What kind of concerts have you gone to?” He asks because he was interested and mainly trying to figure out if you were a latina or not.
Sometimes he couldn’t tell just from looks but he was almost certain.
Finally your time has come to hopefully bring out his Spanish because you heard him speak a little with the guys but he hasn’t fully brought it out.
“Bad bunny, Karol G, Kali Uchis, Rauw, El Alfa.” You reply and he grins.
“Te quise preguntar pero no estaba seguro.” He says and you laugh. (I wanted to ask you but I wasn’t sure)
“Entiendo, aveces no se sabe.” You say and he nods. (I get it, sometimes you don’t know)
“Y que buena selección de cantantes para que sepas.” He compliments and your eyes widen. (And what a good selection of singers just so you know)
“Tambien te gustan?” You ask, first thing you think is how much hotter this’ll make him. (You also like them)
“Todos están buenos.” He replies, making you squeal. (They’re all really good)
“Ya te hiciste como mil veces más mejor en mis ojos.” You joke making him snicker. (You just got like a thousand times better in my eyes)
“Tan fácil eh?” He jokes back making you roll your eyes. (So easy eh?)
He laughs and it was so contagious you were laughing along with him.
You looked at him and he looked so fucking good. Hair chiseled back, a silver necklace around his neck, and that smile-
He was your type on paper for sure.
Not only was he handsome but was so easy to talk to. It’s a miracle nowadays that a man can hold a decent conversation and wants to know things about you.
And not to mention how you feel a bit of a spark already. Hopefully it wouldn’t be one sided and there could be potential there.
But first you had a question in your head that you just had to ask.
“So how are you feeling about your couple?” You ask, having been dying to know that scoop since seeing his talk with the boys about being unsure he feels anything.
“Hard questions already?” He says making you burst out laughing.
“I feel like this is a very basic question.” You challenge and he hums.
“Just going right in?” He teases and you nod.
“Might as well right?” You say with a little shrug, trying to be nonchalant about it.
“God- well I was going to have a chat with her about my thoughts before your message came in actually.” He answers and you chuckle.
“Ah so it was a saved by the bell kind of thing?” You joke and he shakes his head, trying not to laugh.
“Well I wouldn’t phrase it like that but I guess you did kind of save me.” He admits making you smile.
“So I’m gonna be honest I feel like I’m just not feeling it with her, at least not as much as she is and it just feels awful. For her it was immediate and I just haven’t felt a thing.” He confesses and you nod.
“I feel like in here it’s just going to be based off chemistry and a spark, so if you don’t feel it within days…” you start and wait for his reaction before continuing.
When he nods in agreement is when you continue, “that’s when you really just gotta be honest because I can imagine how fast time flies by in here.”
“You’ve got no idea.” He mutters making you give him a sympathetic smile.
“I hope your time here is less stressful though!” You quickly say, making him chuckle.
“Me too, maybe you can help me with that.” He says and it slipped out so smoothly you couldve just melted into a puddle in front of him.
“I’ll help in any way I can.” You reply and chuckle.
You felt all sorts of butterflies in your stomach and you’d have to thank the public later.
“So how about I stop hogging you and you can go meet the rest of the islanders?” He jokes and you pout.
“Aw I was having such a good time.” You say and stand up.
There was tons of water dripping down your body which had Miguel having to remind himself to be a gentleman and not ogle.
He stood up as well and his body was just absolutely incredible. Unfortunately you didn’t have the self control like he did.
Not only was he above 6’0 but he was buff and those muscles-
Suddenly he reaches his hand out to you, to help you out of the tub to which you accept as you carefully climb out of it and get onto the first step. You go down the other three and he lets go but only to pass you a towel.
“Thank you!” You say and dry yourself off since you got shivers from the slight wind.
“Course.” He replies and grabs another towel from the swing that one of the production members must’ve left.
“I’m just gonna be sitting everywhere all wet.” You groan as you dry your legs, making him laugh.
“Don’t think anyone’s gonna complain about that..” He mumbles but you heard him crystal clear.
You burst out laughing then smack his arm, shaking your head in disbelief. “No digas eso-“ you utter in between laughs while attempting to put your heels on at the same time and somehow able to do it. (Don’t say that-)
He just laughs as you cover yourself in the towel but as you go inside the hideaway there’s a producer shaking their head no. You pout and just throw it by a chair on the terrace and then follow Miguel out of the hideaway.
He grabs your hand and leads you to the lounge room where there’s a few couches and then the doghouse for when someone acts up. “No one has slept here yet.” He jokes and you just chuckle.
“Maybe soon someone’ll be sleeping here.” You joke back and he snickers.
“Honestly it might be me..” he says as you guys walk into the bedroom, taking notice of the row of beds.
They’re all surprisingly made and neat.
“I didn’t want to be the one to say it…” you joke making him playfully roll his eyes.
“Oh my god the bedroom is so much bigger than I thought.” You mumbled as he leads you towards the door.
“In that case the garden is going to be enormous.” He laughs and you giggle.
He opens the door and lets go of your hand just so you can go out first, “que caballero.” You tease and he waves you off, a huge grin on his face. (what a gentleman)
“Wait when was your last relationship?” He quickly asks as he closes the door.
“You’re asking that now when I’m probably gonna tell everyone that anyway?” You ask and he nods.
He sticks his arm out for you and you link yours to his as you both walk the little catwalk before you’re able to hear the sound of people talking and laughing all throughout the villa. “Maybe I wanna know before everyone else.”
“It was two years ago, he acted like a boy when I needed a man.” You whisper to him and he hums.
“Think you’ll find a man here?” He whispers back, turning to his left to look at you.
“Maybe I already have.” You whisper and give him a wink.
He was barely able to control his reaction and just stayed silent before he did too much so early.
Instead he thinks of the next best thing. “You ready?” He whispers and you nod.
Even though your nerves came in, you were ready. If anything having such a good conversation with him was like preparation to meet everyone.
Miguel being so kind and sweet was really such a good start to what would be an interesting journey.
“Absolutely.” You whisper back and now there was silence.
You both turned a corner and the kitchen was in full view where you saw all the guys together.
“Helloooooo islanders!!!” You yell and the guys instantly cheer, whistle and clap, meanwhile you don’t hear a beep from a singular girl.
This was going to be good.

𝐘𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫-𝐌𝐚𝐧
Parings → Peter Parker x Reader
Warnings → fluff, worried reader
Summary → You and Ned found out that Peter's Spider-Man, but also you're really worried.
Tumblr media
You and Ned sat on the edge of Peter’s bed, glancing around his room while waiting for him to return. Aunt May had welcomed you both inside, as she always did, with her warm smile. Sometimes, you wished she were your aunt—she had a way of making you feel at home.
You and Ned finally decided to start building the Death Star while waiting for Peter to return from his internship. As much as you admired Iron Man—just like Peter did—you were starting to really dislike him. He always kept your Peter busy with that internship.
Suddenly, the window of Peter's bedroom opened, and you and Ned exchanged confused glances. Then, Spider-Man crawled through the window and began climbing on the ceiling. You watched in complete shock.
Spider-Man made his way along the ceiling towards Peter's door, shutting it slowly before landing gracefully on the floor without a sound.
When he removed his mask and turned around, you were met with a familiar pair of brown eyes. Your jaw dropped slightly in disbelief. His eyes widened in surprise at the sight of Ned and you on the bed.
Ned’s LEGO figure crashed on the floor in pieces with a loud sound.
“What was that?!” May yelled from the kitchen.
“Uh- it's nothing! Nothing!” Peter yelled back.
“You’re—you’re the Spider-Man, from YouTube,” Ned said. Peter pressed the spider emblem on his chest, causing the suit to loosen and fall at his feet.
“No, I’m not. I’m not.”
“You were on the ceiling!” Ned exclaimed, and you didn’t say anything, still in shock.
“No, I wasn’t, Ned! What are you guys doing in my room?” Peter said, panic evident in his voice.
“Well, May let us in. You said we were gonna build the Death Star.”
“You can’t just bust into my room!” Peter exclaimed.
Suddenly, May opened the door, waving a rug in front of her. “That turkey meatloaf recipe is a disaster. Okay, let's go out for dinner. Thai? You guys want Thai?”
Before Ned could reply, Peter quickly interjected, “He has thing... to do after, but Y/n’s coming.”
“Alright, and Peter, maybe put on some clothes. Y/n’s cheeks are looking like tomatoes,” May added with a grin before closing the door.
Peter immediately grabbed the closest thing and pulled it on, avoiding your wide-eyed stare.
A heavy silence hung in the room before Peter spoke, his voice laced with concern. “Y/n, baby, please say something. You're freaking me out.”
“I just… I can't believe it’s really you,” you whispered, your voice trembling slightly as you tried to process everything.
He tugged on the hem of his sweatshirt, glancing down nervously. “It’s me. I swear, it’s really me.”
“I’m gonna let you two talk. I’ll see you guys tomorrow,” Ned said before grabbing his things.
“Bye, buddy,” Peter said, and you gave Ned a hug from where you were sitting.
“Bye, Ned.” The door closed behind Ned.
“Tell me what you’re thinking,” he said. He could tell you had a million things on your mind at the moment.
You looked up at him, eyes filled with worry. “Peter, you could have been killed doing this.”
His expression softened as he crouched down in front of you, taking your hands gently in his. “Hey, look at me. I’m okay, alright? I promise I’m not going anywhere.”
You shook your head, tears starting to well up. “But what if something happens? What if one day you don’t come back?”
Peter quickly pulled you into a tight embrace, his hand rubbing soothing circles on your back. “Don’t think like that, babe. I’m not going anywhere. I’ll always come back to you.”
You buried your face into his neck, letting a few tears slip out. “I just don’t want to lose you.”
He pulled back slightly, brushing the tears from your cheeks with his thumb. “You won’t. I’m here, and I’m not going anywhere. Okay?”
You nodded, feeling slightly reassured by his words. “Okay.”
He leaned in and kissed you softy, pushing a strand of hair behind your ear. “I love you, Y/n.”
“I love you too, Peter,” you replied, your voice steadying as you looked into his familiar brown eyes.

Egon Spengler x fem!reader
⚠️: none
word count: 734
Tumblr media
Egon had blanked out quite some time ago, utterly entranced by the girl in a booth at the other end of the chinese restaurant. She was sitting by herself reading a book as she waited for her food to arrive. He had seen her smile brightly as the waiter came to take her order, and that smile was breathtaking.
“Dude, what are you staring at? It’s been five minutes,” Ray asked, snapping Egon out of his trance, “Uh, what?” Egon asked, tinting pink at having been caught. Peter followed Egon’s gaze to the girl and smirked. “Not a what, a who,” He teased, Peter and Ray exchanged a knowing look.
“It’s nothing, I was just thinking,” Egon rushed to explain, “Yeah, I’d be thinking about her too, she’s real pretty,” Winston said as he glanced over to the girl who was now getting her food. “You should go talk to her,” Peter encouraged him, “Yeah, what’s the worst that could happen?” Winston tacked onto Peter’s statement.
“She could hear me,” Egon muttered to himself, shaking his head. “Okay,” Peter said in what seemed to be a surrender. Everyone at the table sat in shocked silence for a minute at how quickly Peter dropped it.
Peter excused himself to use the bathroom before standing up and leaving the table. What no one at the table knew was that he was actually making a beeline for the girl in the booth. On his way over he stopped a waiter, “Hey could you tell the people at that table that there’s a call for Winston and Ray?” he requested and the waiter nodded curtly and made his way to their table. He continued on his way.
“Hello,” Peter greeted the girl kindly, “I’m Peter,” he introduced himself. She looked up from her book, “Oh, hi, I’m Y/N,” She replied quietly. Peter looked over his shoulder to see Egon alone at the table, “I was wondering,” He started, pointing in Egon’s direction, “You see my friend over there?” He asked her, “Well yes,” She said skeptically. “He thinks you’re really pretty and I was wondering if you’d like to switch seats with me and sit with him,” Peter explained in a hushed tone.
Y/N looked up at Peter with a raised eyebrow, “There are other people around, it’s not like I’m asking you to the back alley,” He pleaded with her. She seemed convinced by this reasoning, “Okay,” Y/N agreed and picked up her plate, “Thanks, you won’t regret it,” Peter assured her, “That remains to be seen,” she said before leaving the table.
Y/N walked nervously to Peter’s friend, who upon further inspection, was really quite handsome. “Hi,” Y/N greeted as she came to a stop in front of him. Egon’s eyes widened and looked as though they might actually fall out of his head, “Erm, hello,” he managed, looking around to see that she indeed had to be talking to him.
“I’m Y/N,” She said as she put down her plate and sat across from Egon in the booth. “Hello Y/N, I’m Dr. Egon Spengler,” He said, putting out his hand for a handshake and feeling like an idiot in the process. It’s not like this some formal event, why couldn’t he just be normal? He asked himself.
“Oh, a Doctor, fancy that,” Y/N said with a giggle, “Glad you think so,” Egon smiled and began looking for a waiter. As one walked by, he gestured him over to the table, “May I have a glass of water and whatever she has?” Egon asked the waiter, who briefly looked at Y/N’s dish before scribbling it on his notepad and walking away.
Ray and Winston walked back out to see that their place at the table had been taken by the girl Egon had been eyeing just a few minutes before. “Good for him,” Ray muttered while Winston looked for Peter. Peter was waving them over to the table where the girl had been sitting when they left.
“This,” Winston started, pointing at the table where Egon and the girl sat, “Was your doing, wasn’t it?” Winston accused more than he asked. “Of course,” Peter said, smiling proudly as he sat up a little straighter. “Go on have a seat, I have a feeling we aren’t invited to dinner,” He commented cooly as he opened up a menu.

This is my first ever one-shot, fanfic, sort of post so bear with me if it is really bad.
The idea for this is how I think the Across the Spider-verse characters would react to you kissing them with lipstick on. Be warned it will probably be horrifically ooc or maybe it won’t, never tried writing from another characters perspective before. Tried to be gn!Reader but might lean a little more to the feminine side. It’s also not in any particular order.
Tumblr media
Miles Morales
This boy would be a mix of nervous and flustered at the same time. Bonus points if you grab his face while you kiss him, he would short circuit in a second. He’d bounce back after a minute but still be pretty flustered, would definitely stumble over his words while trying to act like he’s ok. Would try to hide how red his face is by covering them with his hands, if you pull them away from him. Oh boy. Prepare for the rebooting process. May or may not take longer than 5 minutes. Would probably wash the mark off, y’know because of his parents and all.
“I- Uh- um. T- thank you f-for um.. that. Um. It felt n-nice” “You good baby?” “Y-yea I’m good.” “You stuttering a lot. You sure you’re good babe?” “Yea. Just need a few minutes to reboot”
Tumblr media
Gwen Stacy
Would have a more controlled reaction. She would be flustered but wouldn’t show it as much as Miles would. She’d probably get a little red on the ears and on the cheeks but other than that she’d be ok. She might stumble over her words a bit and look away as to hide some embarrassment. Would definitely tell Hobie about what happened and talk about how life is going. Bonus points if you use her own lip stick. Would probably wash the mark off so her dad doesn’t know.
“Dang you got rizz like that” “If it’s making you smile like that, then I guess I do” “Wait is that my lipstick though” “Sure is” “Rizz 9000”
Tumblr media
Peter B. Parker
(This is before MJ and Mayday)
I feel like he’d get slightly flustered by it but not so much so to where he would stumble over words. Almost like Gwen. He would pull you in and give you kisses in return too. Whether it be on the forehead, the lips, or anywhere else expect a kiss in return. Would probably tell you to do it again. After a few minutes of sitting on the couch and exchanging little pecks I imagine it would turn into a little movie night with just sitting there and exchanging kiss while the movie plays. Might get distracted when the movie gets good though. Would probably forget about the mark and just leave it there.
“Wait hold on I’m lost. Is she dating him or is she dating the other guy” “Wait what, I thought she was with him and she cheated on him with other guy. Dang it P now I’m confused” “Oh well this movie was confusing anyway. Now where were we?”
Tumblr media
Miguel O’Hara
Would enjoy it. Hands down. Would let you do it. Depending on where you kissed him he would have different reactions. So like on the forehead or cheek, the more sweet areas I feel like he’d kiss you back in the same place. If you did it on the lips, depending on the time and place, it could potentially turn into a little make out session. Now, should you do it on the neck you better prepare yourself for when he’s done working. He’d also probably do it back to you as well. I mean he would get his fangs out and bite you, should you wish. He’ll mark you just like you marked him. Depending if the relationship is known or unknown to others depends if he’ll keep the mark there. If the relationship known he’ll keep the mark there until he showers (if even takes a break from his work). If the relationship is unknown he’ll try to keep it there as long as possible but if he’s gotta go that lipstick stain is coming off.
“Hermosa, what did you just do?” “Nothinggg?” “Sure. Come here Hermosa” “Yes?” “*Bites down on readers neck* Now we are even” “How is that anywhere near even”
Tumblr media
The Spot
Would probably get real giddy and happy about it. Cause you know like after he got turned into the spot he’d get turned down by a lot of people cause they mean so it would make him happy to know he’s still loved and not considered a monster in one persons eyes. Anyways, he’d be really happy and would make sure to keep the mark on there just in case he runs into the Spider-Man’s so he can show that he’s loved by someone. Would probably look at Miles and flaunt it. Would make sure the mark stays there. If it rubs off he’ll tell you to kiss him with lip stick on again.
“Guess what Miles, I pulled a girl before you ever could, HA, take that. I’ve got more rizz than you and I ain’t even human no more”.
Tumblr media
Jessica Drew
(Before the baby and getting married)
Would get a bit embarrassed about it. I feel like she would like it though. Bonus points if you use her lip stick. She’d probably do the same thing though. Just at a different time to catch you off guard and see you get all flustered and embarrassed. She also seems like the type to not just give one kiss but multiple. Kind of like Peter in a sense. If she were to do it back she would do it multiple times in multiple different areas. Would probably keep the mark there for as long as she could.
“My turn!!” “Wait what Jess hold on” “Mwah and mwah” “I was supposed to be the one to catch you off guard” “Haha, nope”
Tumblr media
Pavitr Prabhakar
Would be almost as flustered as Miles but be able to handle said flusteredness better. He’d blush and maybe stutter slightly but he’d be able to cope. Would probably also grab a drink of chai so to calm himself down. He would also definitely get romantic when you do kiss him. He’d probably kiss you back too. Definitely get expect everyone to know. Gwen, Miles, Hobie, Peter, Jess, Miguel even. Everyone is gonna know. Would probably keep the mark there for most of the day too.
“Pav did you really need a cup of Chai to calm down” “N-No, I just like the taste of it” “Sure, but you got it just at this moment in time, can’t be a coincidence hmm??” “Anyways so how’ve you beennnn”
Tumblr media
Hobie Brown
He’d probably do it right back. He’d take the lip stick and kiss you all the same way you did him. Alongside Pav and Spot he’d flaunt it everywhere he goes. He would not get flustered either, he’d be surprised but not flustered. I’ve the feeling he’d tell you to do it again and again until his face is peppered in lip stick marks. Would definitely leave the lip stick marks there. May or may not avoid taking a shower just so they stay on longer.
Oi!! Whatcha doing there” “Just giving you a little kiss” “Well you’re doing it in the wrong spot mate. It’s supposed to be on the lips not on the cheek” “Or I could not do it at all??” “Alright point taken, go on”
The End :D
It you enjoyed reading that let me know. OH and give me suggestions too and any critiques you might have. Anything that’s helpful to my writing is gladly appreciated.:D

Back To Life - TASM!Peter Parker
Tumblr media
Marvel Masterlist
Speak Now TV Masterlist
Summary : Your mom and May set you and Peter up on a date, thinking you'll be a good match but both of you think it won't work.
Warnings : mention of Gwen's and Uncle Ben's deaths, mention of toxic relation (no details), anxiety, a bit of angst, happy ending, maybe some grammatical mistakes as English is not my first language, tell me if you see some or if I missed any warnings.
Word count : 3.1k
French version
Song inspiration : Electric Touch by Taylor Swift Feat. Fall Out Boys (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)
Your clothes are scattered everywhere in your room; it looks like there has been a tornado though it doesn’t stop you from looking for the perfect outfit in your closet. Wrapped in a bathroom towel, despair takes over your body, you should have never listened to your mom. At least, you wouldn’t be in this situation. You grunt when someone knocks on your bedroom door, you tell the person to come in and your mom enters.
“You’re still not ready? He’s coming in thirty minutes!”
“Yes, mom, I know!” you drily retort before taking a softer voice, “Sorry. I just don’t know what to wear, I’m getting fed up.”
“Just put on something you feel good in.”
“Easier said than done! I only find flaws in my clothes. I don’t even know why I listened to you in the first place. I don’t even know him and we already have a date. This guy might be awful.” you start to ramble, pacing around your room. “I mean, you don’t even really know him either. You only know what your colleague May told you. Maybe she made him better than he actually is!”
“I might not know him personally, though I’ve seen him several times and do I need to remind you you saw him once, too. You even found him cute.”
“I saw him for five minutes, two years ago, it doesn’t count.”
“I’m sure Peter is a nice guy.” your mom affirms, stroking your cheek to calm you down. “Just to prove it to you, whenever May forgets her lunch, he always brings it to her with a big smile on his face and a kiss on the cheek. He always comes with her at work when it’s dark. And every time I talked with him, he was really polite. Do you seriously think I would have set you up on a date with the first guy I found? I have some instincts, sweetheart.”
“I’m still not convinced. We only exchanged, like, three messages and it was just to make sure it was still okay for today. Besides, maybe he won’t like me. And even if it works out tonight, who knows if it’ll last? I got a history of stories ending badly. That’s it, I’m not going, it’ll be for the better.” you state, taking your phone but your mom takes it from your hands.
“You’re not gonna cancel. Just breathe, just relax, it’ll be okay.” she tells you softly. “Look, I know your last relationship with George went bad and you suffered a lot because of it but you can’t keep closing your heart to new people because you’re scared you’ll find another version of him. Furthermore, even if things didn’t match between you and Peter, which I know won't be the case, you would have at least taken a step forward, you don’t have to be worried. Come on, put this on and you’ll see, you’ll be beautiful and at ease in your clothes.” your mom adds as she gives you a mid-length dress. “I have to go to work. Text me when you’re home, okay? Be careful. It’s going to be okay, sweetheart, I’m sure.”
Your mom kisses you one last time on the forehead before leaving your room. You let go of a sigh then finish getting ready. While doing your makeup, you can’t help but keep checking your phone, waiting for a potential message from Peter telling you the date is cancelled. Your mom managed to calm your anxiety down, yet your fear quickly came back once you’re alone again. For you, this date can only end in two ways: either it ends badly and it’ll break your heart, which is most likely to happen, or everything will be good and your heart will finally heal, which you doubt. You wonder if Peter is in the same state of mind as you.
The answer is easy: his state of panic is worse than yours. He only agreed to this date to make Aunt May happy. Since Gwen’s death, he has closed himself off but now, he wants to make an effort. However, among those efforts, ‘going out with other people’ wasn’t part of it, especially if it ends up putting another person he loves in danger; he can’t reproduce what happened with Gwen. At first, he tried to get out of it, though May insisted so much that he gave in. He sees this date as his last chance to check if he can have a romantic life whilst being Spider-man. He’d love for it to work just one time yet he can’t help but be pessimistic about it.
Knowing you’re only meeting at the end of the day, Peter decided to go on his daily patrol earlier. Nothing much stands out of the ordinary, therefore, he comes home just on time to get ready. At least, no matter if this date is catastrophic, he’s sure he’ll be on time.
Entering his room, he takes off his Spider-man suit and takes a shower. In his closet, he takes the first outfit he finds then he starts panicking.
“It’s a first date, I can’t wear whatever clothes I find,” he tells himself.
He’s about to change when he wonders why he’s overthinking this much when he knows it’s not gonna work out. You’re probably not going to like him or vice-versa. So, he puts back on his black t-shirt and takes a glance at himself in the mirror. His outfit is casual, maybe too casual for a first date. He should add a jacket. He can’t tell the difference it makes. He has no idea if his outfit is okay. After all, he doesn’t want to try too much but on the other hand, he wants to try a bit, you deserve to have a date with a guy who is presentable. He ends up changing his black t-shirt for a dark blue one. It’s less sad, isn’t it? As soon as he checks the time, he realises he can’t think any longer and goes to do his hair. May interrupts him to tell him she’s leaving for work.
“You look cute like this, I’m sure Y/N will agree with me.”
“Don’t know.” Peter mutters, turning around to be in front of May.
“Believe me, it’s already the case. Her mom told me you caught her eyes.” She affirms with a big smile.
“It doesn’t mean this date will go well. I’m not even sure I want to go out with someone else, Aunt May.”
“Peter, I know Gwen’s death has been hard on you but you can’t stay stuck in a world where Gwen is with you,” May starts as she puts her hands on her nephew. “You have to move on. That doesn’t mean you’re going to forget her. Gwen will always be in your heart and that’s normal, but it doesn’t mean you can’t let another person in. Besides, this date doesn’t have to end with a relationship. I’m already proud to see you allow yourself to move on despite the pain.”
“I miss her.” Peter whispers.
“I know, honey.”
“Do you think pain ever stops?”
“I think it becomes easier to live with it,” May softly answers. “You know, now I can think about your Uncle Ben without feeling my heart breaking completely. I can think about the good memories first before remembering he’s not here anymore. It’ll be okay for you, too, Peter. I’m sure of it.”
Peter smiles one last time at his aunt while she leaves the room. When Peter is ready, he checks his phone and sees you haven’t cancelled last minute, so he has no other choice than leaving to take the subway. Technically, he should be at your place at 7:00 P.M. sharp so you can go to a dinner which is fifteen minutes away from your home.
In the subway, Peter’s stress gets higher and higher as he thinks about what he could say to you, after all, he doesn’t know you. Your conversations might be empty and if it’s the case, it’s going to be a very very long date. As he thinks about a question he could ask you as an icebreaker, the subway abruptly stops. Peter looks through the windows and he sees they haven’t arrived at the next station yet. Suddenly, a voice interrupts Peter’s interrogations as it informs them:
“Dear passengers, we are currently having some technical difficulties. We are doing everything we can to fix the situation as quickly as possible. We apologise for this inconvenience.”
Peter sighs once he hears this information. He is going to be late. Great. He takes his phone out of his pocket to text you but, of course, he doesn’t have a signal.
For him, this breakdown is like a sign, he shouldn’t have accepted to go out with someone. Even if all of this doesn’t end like Gwen, the fact is, it won’t work, it’s for certain. He’d like not to suffer again, yet Peter feels like he’s allergic to happiness.
Peter tries to calm down his anxiety as he thinks back to Aunt May’s words and puts his phone away before waiting until the situation is fixed.
As for you, you’re waiting for Peter, sitting on your living room couch. It’s almost seven, he should be here any minute now. From time to time, you glance at the window but you don’t see him. The more the time goes by, the more you’re fidgeting.
“Just breathe, just relax, it’ll be okay”, your mother’s words resonate in your head in vain.
Your eyes go from the window to your phone, both of them bring you no news about Peter’s whereabouts. You start biting your lips, imagining the worst case scenarios. Maybe he stood you up? No, your mom assured you he was a nice guy, he wouldn’t do it. Maybe you gave him the wrong address? You check your messages and discover you made no mistake. Maybe you were wrong on the day and time of the date? Once again, your messages prove you wrong. Maybe something bad happened to him, then? No, you can’t start imagining awful things. He’s just late, nothing else. Right?
You wait a little bit more and when it’s half past seven, you text him to know where he is. You don’t get an answer. You start biting your nails whilst your heart begins to race in your chest, the stress getting out of hand, you don’t understand what’s happening and you start second-guessing this date. It was clearly a mistake, you should have never agreed to it. You would have loved for it to work for once however it seems like you’re doomed. You were right, you are going to have your heart broken and this date will end badly - if Peter ever shows up.
After being stuck for forty minutes in the subway, Peter finally arrives at your station. He weaves in between people as he runs so he isn’t any later than he already is. Five minutes later, he sees your house from afar. As soon as he passes by your living room window,  you see him running like he’s being chased by something. Checking your phone, you see it’s 8:05. He’s more than an hour late, at that realisation, you roll your eyes. He better have a good excuse. You have already had guys who weren’t punctual, you don’t need another one!
Once he’s at your door, he quickly runs a hand in his hair, takes a deep breath before knocking. He waits for a moment before you open the door. As soon as he sees you, Peter is mesmerised by your beauty so he just stands there, saying nothing. When you give him a look, he snaps back before speaking.
“I’m so sorry for being late. I was stuck in the subway and-”
“I would have appreciated a text.” you interrupt him, drily.
“I didn’t have a signal. I got one once I arrived at the station. Normally, I’m always on time, I swear. I’m sorry I made you wait. You probably thought I stood you up which is totally normal but I didn’t. I tried to come here as soon as I could when the subway worked again.” Peter explains and you can tell he’s being sincere. “I’ve ruined everything, haven’t I? I didn’t mean it. I totally get it if you don't want us to go out.”
“I still want to. The subway broke down, it’s not your fault,” you reassure him with a smile.
Upon hearing your sentence, Peter smiles back at you. Even if he wasn’t excited to go out with you, he made a commitment to you and he always makes sure to fulfil his promises.
You take your bag and close your front door. Peter lets you walk first and you go to the diner. On the way there, you ask Peter a few more questions about the subway breakdown, not really knowing what topic is best to bring first.
Once you’re at your table, you keep doing small talk. Just by looking at you two, people could tell you’re not at ease, you don’t know how to act toward the other. None of you is ready to have a deep conversation. It's as if you have forgotten how to act on a first date. You even think about making up an excuse to leave. The conversation is awkward until you order your food. After talking about yet another random topic, Peter sighs before talking:
“I’m sure this situation is as awkward for you as it is for me. Your mom and my aunt set us up but it doesn’t mean it has to feel like this. I don’t know for you, but it’s my first date in a long time and I’m a bit rusty. My last relationship ended…, let’s just say, tragically, and so maybe we don’t really need to put big expectations for tonight. We should just get to know each other without expecting anything in particular and just see where it leads us, if that’s okay with you?”
“That’s okay with me.” you agree, letting go of a sigh of relief. “My last relationship ended badly, too. It was pretty toxic and I have to admit I need to warm up to new people first.”
“Let’s take it slowly then. No need to have a big romantic date, let’s just have a nice moment with someone new. What do you say?”
“I say I agree with you.”
From that moment on, the tension leaves your table, letting you get to know each other in peace. Peter asks some questions about the last book you read and quickly, you start talking about your interests, no matter if you have them in common or not.
In the end, you spend a good moment together. You hadn’t laughed that much in a long time. Peter is instantly enamoured by your laugh, loving the way your face brightens. Peter talks a bit about him and you have to admit you like his personality more and more. You mom was right, Peter is genuinely nice. At some points, you both mention your last relationship, without going into too much detail. You still have a long way to go, though you’re not against the idea of walking side by side.
After eating, you stay a bit longer at the restaurant, not noticing the time going by. When you leave, it’s past 10:00 P.M. As soon as you’re outside, you shiver because of the cold night. Peter notices it and offers you his jacket. At first, you refuse, but he insists so you accept it. As he puts his jacket on your shoulder, his right hand brushes past your shoulder and you shiver again, yet  this time, it’s not because of the cold, your heart also beats faster yet, not because of your anxiety. His touch is like electricity and upon raising your head, you see how close Peter is to you and you think about how even more beautiful he is at this distance. You try not to show anything as you start walking to your place.
On the way home, you keep talking and you wish this moment would never end. You never thought you’d feel this connected to a man this quickly. As for Peter, he never thought he would let himself look tenderly at another woman who isn’t Gwen. Aunt May was right, Gwen will always be in his heart however he’s not as against the idea of letting someone new in as he used to be. Maybe not right away, but if you were to find your way to his heart, he would be happy about it.
Once you’re in front of your door, you give Peter his jacket back and you secretly hope to touch his hand but the clothes prevent you from doing it. You smile at Peter as he finishes talking about his theory about the multiverse.
“It was really nice tonight. I didn’t think I would have such a great time.” he smiles.
“Me neither. I had some apprehension.”
“I get it.”
“You know, I wouldn’t mind doing something like this again,” you start, avoiding his gaze, “I’d be happy to see where this leads us, even if we’re taking our time.”
“I’d be happy about it, too. Do you think it’s too soon to tell you you’re stunning? I’ve been thinking about it all evening and I just thought I should tell you before leaving and regret not telling you.”
At his compliment, your cheeks heat up while a smile makes its way on your face which Peter finds more than cute. Knowing he made you smile warms his heart.
“It’s not too soon, I appreciate the compliment. You’re cute, too. And do you think it’ll be too soon if I kissed your cheek?” you ask and Peter freezes. Instantly, you regret your question and you don’t know what to do with yourself. “Sorry, I went too far, I shouldn’t have.”
“I just didn’t expect this but I wouldn’t mind.”
A bit embarrassed, you get closer to Peter and put your hand on his cheek before kissing his right one. Feeling your touch on his skin, Peter can’t breathe for a second. He didn’t think your touch would be this electric on his skin. The kiss was short yet it’s already engraved in his memory. He knows he’s going to think about it every second of the day. When you back up, you wish him a good night before entering your house. Peter stands there until your door is closed, then he leaves your porch, a big smile on his lips.
You both lovingly think back to the evening you’ve just had. You know it’s only the beginning, though you already know one just like the other will know how to bring your heart back to life. You already want to see each other again and maybe it’ll take some time to allow yourself to fully fall in love again, but you don’t mind. For once, you know it’s going to end well.

living in the past - dr. spencer reid: 1
Who? dr spencer reid x original female character
Where Daisy's biggest secret is revealed, not only for BAU but for the whole world.
Warnings: avengers, marvel, peter parker, far from home, snap. It takes place in 2034, Spencer is 30 years old and oc is 28. 5-year snap influence so chronologically oc is born in 2001 and Spencer in 2004 but he wasn't snapped.
Tumblr media
“I know you’re going to say the same thing for the 38th time, Morgan,” Spencer whispered as if revealing a state secret, “but it’s not just me being paranoid. I swear, there’s something suspicious about her.”
They were ready, waiting for the rest of the team to arrive so they could head to the crime scene.
“Pretty boy, whether she’s plotting some evil plan to end the world or not, I have no idea—and honestly, I’d rather not know.” Derek grinned, trying to hold back a laugh as Spencer rolled his eyes. “But you might want to tone it down. She’s gonna start thinking you’ve got a crush on her.”
Derek was enjoying this far more than he’d ever admit. While Spencer rolled his eyes so hard they nearly completed a full circle, Penelope burst into the room, her energy frantic.
“Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, have you seen what’s in the news? You have to see it—my God, I’m going to combust, any second now!” Penelope spoke so fast that even Derek, with all his experience, could barely keep up. Spencer, for his part, blinked, trying to process the onslaught of words.
“Garcia, slow down, we can’t—”
“Spencer Walter Reid, for the love of all things cute and fluffy, open your phone and check the news now!” she demanded, practically vibrating with urgency. She looked seconds away from strangling the youngest member of the team if he didn’t move faster. “It’s breaking news, and trust me, this will back up one of your theories!”
That was all Spencer needed. He quickly pulled out his phone, while Derek raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued.
A news broadcast lit up Spencer’s screen. The anchor’s voice was grave: “We come to you now with shocking revelations about 2023 attack in London. An anonymous source has provided us with this footage, reportedly from moments before Quentin Beck, aka Mysterio, died twelve years ago. A warning: Some viewers may find this footage disturbing.”
The screen cut to an altered video of the Tower Bridge battle. Spencer and Derek exchanged a glance, both raising an eyebrow before turning back to the screen. Just as they were about to speak, a man’s voice—Quentin Beck’s—filled the room.
“I managed to send the Elemental back through the dimensional rift,” Beck’s voice declared. “But I don’t think I’m going to make it off this bridge alive. Spider-Woman attacked me! She has an army of weaponized drones—Stark technology! She’s claiming she’ll be the new Iron Man, and no one else!”
A robotic voice followed, colder than the woman’s: “Are you sure you want to initiate the drone attack? There will be significant casualties.”
“Do it. Execute them all,” the feminine human voice, trembling like she was on the edge of collapsing.
The footage wasn’t as graphic as what Derek, Spencer, and Penelope were used to seeing, but it was disturbing in its implications. The video cut to J. Jonah Jameson, the notorious anchor.
“There you have it, folks: conclusive proof that Spider-Woman was responsible for the brutal murder of Mysterio, an inter-dimensional warrior who gave his life to protect our world. He will no doubt go down as the greatest hero of our time. But that’s not all—here’s the real blockbuster. Brace yourselves.”
The bullpen seemed to freeze, no one daring to breathe.
“Spider-Woman’s real identity is… Spider-Woman’s name is Gwendolyn Stacy Parker! Gwen Parker!”
On the screen, an image of Daisy appeared—Daisy, whom Spencer had been trying to convince Derek was hiding something. But this wasn’t right. The photo, though younger, was eerily similar. Too similar.
“This doesn’t make sense,” Spencer murmured, brows furrowing. “Her name is Daisy Hawke. There’s no way she’s Gwen Parker. We would know if she had any connection to a superhero.”
“Well, that’s what I thought,” Penelope said after calming down. “But then I started digging for something that could explain this madness, and suddenly, the pieces began to fit together.”
“And here we go—Reid-splaining has officially contaminated her,” Morgan quipped.
“In 2006, New York broke the record for missing children. But here’s the strangest part: 182 children went missing in a single day. Almost all of them were found together later, but there were very few details. So, I started digging deeper into the history of Dais—Gwen—whatever she calls herself now. There’s a gap in her life between 2006 and 2010. If you think about it, she’s never really talked about her childhood. So, I kept digging. And then, I dug some more. And there it was—among the 182 children kidnapped that day: Gwendolyn Stacy Parker. I believe that’s where the beginning of the false end of her life started.” She paused to catch her breath.
“None of the victims ever spoke about what happened. Since they were just kids, this whole thing could snowball into something huge.” Penelope decided to stop there; she didn’t like imagining what might have happened to someone she cared about so much.
“I’m sorry, Derek. I’m sorry, Garcia, but I have to say this once and for all—I told you so, and I’ve never enjoyed saying it more.”
“Pretty boy’s not going to let me live this down anytime soon, baby,” Derek muttered with a grin. “But hey, does Hotch, JJ, David, Emily, and you know, Daisy, know about this?”
“No idea. With Daisy being late, she certainly knows something. She’s probably in deep trouble with the life she left behind, and if the rest of the team doesn’t know, they’ll figure it out soon enough.”
“I don’t see why you’re so worried about it, Garcia.”
“You’re only saying that because you and Einstein never got along. I just—can’t imagine the pain of going through all the bad things you left behind when you were 18.”
“This about Hawke?” Hotch emerged from the shadows, his voice calm and composed. “Either way, be discreet. She’s one of our best agents, and it would be a shame to lose her. So act like she’s not a superhero.”
At that moment, the trio had confirmation that everyone knew, and they knew Daisy knew they knew, but no one would talk about it for a long time.
About 20 minutes had passed, and the team was already on the jet—everyone except Daisy, of course. Hotch had mentioned earlier that she had “encountered some personal issues and wasn’t cleared for this case.”
Out of everyone on board, Rossi was the most unsettled. He shifted in his seat, clearly itching to talk. If he didn’t get this out, it seemed like he might burst. “Hey, Emily,” he leaned over and nudged her arm subtly, “did you hear… about Daisy?” His curiosity was so obvious that it almost made her smirk.
“Dave, keep it cool,” Prentiss muttered, barely moving her lips. “I want to talk about it later, too.” Oh, Lord, Daisy's ear definitely would be hot.
Aqui está o texto adaptado para o estilo e os personagens de Criminal Minds:
“The case was solved in two weeks, and the BAU team quickly returned to Quantico. Most of them were too exhausted to think about the incident involving Daisy, but Spencer Reid didn’t fit into that majority. Being the genius he is, the details lingered in his mind throughout the case, often making it difficult for him to concentrate on his work.
Could it really be the same person? The face was undeniably similar — if not identical. The only difference was the hair color; Gwen had red hair while Daisy had brown. She must have spent a lot on hair dye.
Spencer preferred to believe they were different people. He didn’t like to admit it to himself, but at that moment, he wanted to be wrong. He hoped that all the times he had sensed something off about Daisy, that she was hiding something, were just his imagination. With his genius IQ, he would surely notice if she were, of all things, a superhero, right? Oh, when he saw her the next day, they would need to have a serious conversation.

Pen pals - p. parker
TASM! Peter Parker x Fem! reader
summary: peter parker is your pen pal.
warnings: none so far!!!
hello helloooo!!! i had this idea because i myself have a pen pal, and it’s honestly really fun and reminds me of peter. this will be multiple parts!! anyhoo, happy reading!
Having a pen pal was fun. It gave you something to look forward to whenever you needed to open the mailbox. It was nice, although your lovely pen pal, Peter, was on the other side of the country. You were in Seattle. He was in Queens, New York. It was a nice arrangement that you two had. No phone numbers, just handwritten letters, and cute little pictures.
When you opened your apartment mailbox and saw that you had a letter from Peter, your heart felt warm. It was the warmest you’ve felt in a while.
Y/N,
My apologies for not writing you back sooner. School is kicking my butt recently, and I moved back in with May (hence why a new address is on the envelope). My old roommate went BALLISTIC on me for little things, so I decided I needed to leave. May is a better person to have around, anyway.
The fall semester ended last week, and I wish I could say that I passed my finals. My professors are just mean, I think. I’ve been super stressed out lately, and writing this letter is helping me. You’re my savior. Also, the pictures you sent me of you in Tennessee are amazing. You should be a model! I’m sure you hear that a lot because of how pretty you are;)
I hope it’s not too cold in Seattle. I took some pictures of random things I thought you’d like, maybe that’ll distract you from how cold it is. I know how much you hate the cold. (You chose the wrong place to live!)
Anyhoo, I’m sorry this letter is short. My wrist is cramping up and May needs help with dinner. Write back as soon as you can.
Much love,
Peter ♥
Photo one: Peter in an obnoxiously large New Year’s Eve hat, grinning from ear to ear with his friend(?)
Photo two: A Polaroid of stray cats bonding in what you assume is Peter’s front yard.
Photo three: A Polaroid of Peter that was clearly taken by May. Peter is holding a tray of muffins, and he looks really stupid in his apron.
You get to writing him a letter right away.
Dear Peter,
I love the pictures. I’ll add them to my growing collection on my wall:)
My day has been so shitty. I wish you were here. It gets lonely, sometimes. I have friends, I’ve told you very little about them. They’re great, don’t get me wrong, but living alone is just lonely. Maybe I should get a cat or something. I need something to come home to. (Sorry for making this portion of the letter sad. I just needed someone to talk to.)
The weather in Queens looks nice. You’re awfully lucky, Peter. It’s cold and slushy here. I’m cold to the bone. Like, nothing will warm me up. It’s annoying. I just want it to be summer again. I hate being pale and cold.
I don’t have any pictures as of right now, so I’m sorry about that. I have some drawings I could give you.
My letter is short too, so I guess we’re even. I need to nap the sadness away.
Cold and loving,
Y/N ♥
~
The next letter you receive from Peter is about a week later.
My dearest Y/N,
I’m so sorry you aren’t feeling well.
I know we said we wouldn’t exchange phone numbers, and I respect that, but I just need to give you mine. I need to. Just in case. I don’t want you to be sad and lonely and have to wait for my letters to come. I like you. I like you A LOT– And I honestly want to meet you in person but that’s a conversation for another day. I’ve been saving up for it. Maybe you should come during the spring? You’d love it here, I know it. Or I could come to you? Whatever, we can talk about it more over the phone.
My phone number:
(718)-XXX-XXXX
Call me;)
Love always,
Peter ♥
You immediately spring up to your feet and grab your phone. Your hands were shaking as you dialed the number and called it, praying he wouldn’t think it was a spam call.
“Pete?” You ask, voice higher than you meant it to be.
Boyish laughter erupts on the other end of the line, and you already know that it’s Peter. Of course, his laugh would sound so sweet.
“Hi, lovie.”

The Beast of my Dreams
Chapter 2.
Word count:2460
TW: not much this chapter, some harassment, Fluff towards the end
A/N: Next chapter it gets a little...spicy ☺️
Tumblr media
~~~
Y/N texts Peter about her dream, since he's the only one she's told. Of course, she doesn't give him all the details of that last dream...
Y/N: I think I was lucid dreaming or something.
Pete🧝🏻: No shit? That's pretty cool. What'd you do?
Y/N: Walked around. Stuck my hand in the hole, but nothing really happened. It smelled my hand like a dog, and I pet it. Head's huge lmao
Pete🧝🏻: wow, that's crazy
Y/N sighs. She knows she's being annoying. But she doesn't know who else to talk to about it.
Pete🧝🏻: you know, I have a friend who does tarot reading
and dream interpretation, stuff like that. want their number? He sends the number without waiting for a response, and Y/N texts it immediately.
Y/N: Hey! Name's Y/N. My friend Peter said you're the person to talk to about weird dreams? I'd love to grab a cup of coffee.
UNKNOWN NUMBER: Sure, meet at May's in five.
"Oh, shit," Y/N mutters. She hurries out of her duvet cocoon and yanks on a pair of jeans and a red flannel shirt. She throws a hoodie over it, because it's been getting chillier every night, then she leaves the door unlocked because Peggy still hasn't returned from her shower. There's a long mirror in the hall before the elevator, so Y/N checks herself while she waits for it to reach her floor.
Dark, straight hair looking as flat as usual. She wipes sleep from her hooded eyes and blinks. There's definitely an amount of what Peter would call "thin privilege" that makes her look presentable. Sloppy, baggy clothes are socially acceptable if you're under a hundred and thirty-or-so pounds, which she is. Plus, she's got her mother's smooth, olive skin tone. And she's 5'7", so the way she dresses just looks artsy and relaxed instead of like she just rolled out of bed, which she nearly always has.
Maybe Peggy's right. A little more effort could go a long way. The elevator dings, and she hurries inside, then across campus to May's. May's is the campus coffee shop, nestled between the library and student union building. The exterior is ugly gray siding, and it'd be easy to mistake it for a storage building if not for the constant drip of students rushing through the doors past other students pushing outside with their hands wrapped around warm to-go mugs of fresh coffee and pastries.
Y/N holds the door open for a professor, then ducks into the warmth of the coffee shop. She breathes deep, enjoying the rich smell of roasting coffee beans. She hates the taste. The shop has a line at the register, seven or eight students deep, and the twelve tables lining the walls are all occupied. After a quick glance around, Y/N realizes she has no idea what this person looks like. She doesn't even know their name. That quickly becomes a nonissue as she locks eyes with a person sitting at a two-chair table in the corner on their own. They're watching her with a significant look on their face. And all the information Y/N has on this person—that they interpret dreams, read tarot, and are friends with Peter—reflects in their appearance. Long dark hair with streaks of blue hair mixed in, lines of piercings, a septum ring, a tattoo that looks like a bird reaching up their neck from the collar of a graphic band t-shirt.
 Y/N offers a small wave and walks over. "Hi," she says. "Are you...Pete's friend?" The person nods once.
"And you're Y/N."
"Yes!" She smiles emphatically, despite the awkward blanket over the exchange. She points a finger toward the empty chair as if to ask permission, then slips into it.
"My name is MJ," they say.
"Nice to meet you, MJ."
MJ pushes a steaming mug toward Y/N, holding their own in the other hand. "Oh, I don't drink coffee," Y/N says before politely lying occurs to her.
"I know," MJ says. "It's hot chocolate." She loves hot chocolate.
"Oh, thank you! How'd you know?" MJ just watches her.
Y/N shifts in her chair and sips her hot chocolate, hoping MJ will speak before she has to. MJ does not. "So!" she says brightly. "What's your major?"
"Aren't you here for dream interpretation?" MJ doesn't smile.
She coughs lightly on a gulp of hot chocolate. "I am, yes, but—okay, right to it!" Y/N summarizes the dreams, leaving out the details of the last one. "In my last dream, I became more lucid. I was able to stand up and move around."
"You need to get laid," MJ says simply.
Y/N pauses, then giggles because she doesn't know how else to respond. MJ isn't wrong, but being horny has never given her incredibly realistic recurring dreams about sexy creatures before.
"Would you like me to get into the details of that interpretation?" MJ's voice remains monotone. "I'd be happy to do a reading, too." They pull a deck of tarot cards from their jacket pocket and leave it on the table.
"That's okay," Y/N says. "I just... Are you sure?"
"One hundred percent. From the yonic tree—"
Y/N snorts. "Yonic?"
"Yes. I assume you have that preference?"
"Maybe," Y/N says. She's never sworn off of men or penises, but they just have never presented themselves in a way that Y/N found difficult to resist.
"And forests hold an undeniably strong amount of feminine energy," MJ continues. "The monster inside—"
"I didn't say it was a monster."
"Oh, what do you call it?"
"A creature?" she offers. "I don't know. I don't feel threatened by it, exactly. It's more exciting than scary, knowing that it might..."
"Kill you," MJ finishes.
Y/N shrugs a shoulder.
MJ sits back in their chair and folds their hands on the table. "That's my read on it. Take it or leave it, but I've never been wrong."
Y/N nods slowly. "I appreciate your insight, definitely. I'll think about that."
"There's more..." MJ says.
"Yes?"
"I believe there is a danger in your dreams. If you don't see to it, and soon, it could mean destruction."
"See to it? Are you saying if I don't get laid, I'll be, what? Cursed?" Y/N's chuckling, but MJ is not. MJ doesn't respond.
Y/N's eyes narrow. "How'd you know I don't drink coffee?" She's not even sure Peter knows that. She keeps it to herself because people are usually really annoying about it.
"I know enough," MJ says. Then they stand abruptly, sweeping their deck of cards from the table and a backpack from the chair. "Good luck, Y/N."
Y/N stares after them as they go. "What the fuck was that?" she mutters. But she pulls her phone out and downloads every dating app she can find.
—
Y/N takes her time finishing her hot chocolate, enjoying the warmth of May's before she has to hike back across campus. She matches with the max amount of women the "good" apps allows, then she wrinkles her nose and switches to the annoying app to right swipe until her wrist hurts. She doesn't even glance at profiles. Her own profile is a single mirror selfie in her underwear with her face cropped out, and her bio reads: "polite, tested, looking for hookups." She also set her location to the smallest distance. The sooner she gets this curse and recurring dream taken care of, the sooner she can focus her energy on not flunking the semester. Her mom pays her tuition, under the condition that Y/N keeps a GPA over 3.0 and doesn't reach out too often.
"Closing soon, honey," a barista calls to her from behind the counter. He's wiping down the espresso machine. Y/N realizes she's the only customer left.
"Sorry," she says. "I'm leaving."
"Be safe out there. Do you need me to walk you home? I'll be done here in fifteen," he says.
"Thanks, but I'm good." She smiles, crossing to leave her empty mug with him. The sun set an hour ago, and she's cold to her bones as soon as she steps outside. She thinks of the buddy system rule, but a part of her is deeply confident she could outrun a wild animal if it came down to it. She shivers. The campus is virtually empty with the animal threat and chilly air, and she watches the stars instead of her feet. A loud, barking laugh from her left makes her jump. Four frat boys stumble out of a dorm building to get away from a stern-faced RA with his arms crossed over a broad chest.
"Get home before I report you." The RA's growl is low but loud enough for Y/N to hear clearly across the quad. He slams the door, and the gaggle of boys scan their surroundings like they're looking for their next victim.
Y/N pulls her hoodie strings tighter around her face and walks faster, but she's not out of sight before they see her. She becomes hyper-aware that she's wearing jeans a size too small, and her hoodie is short.
"Hey, friend!" a boy calls. The three others' heads snap toward her, and they move forward in unison. Great. She keeps her head down and walks as fast as she can without actually sprinting away from them.
Just pretend you can't hear them.
"Hey, wait up!"
"Where ya hurrying off to?"
"We just want to talk!"
Y/N's heart speeds up, too. She's sure they can hear her heavy breathing. Her eyes scan for somewhere she can duck into and hide, or someone to help. She pulls out her phone and calls Peggy, but there's no answer.
"Hey, Peggy!" she says loudly to her voicemail inbox. "I'll be home in two minutes! Yep... Tell the boys that we can—" She loses the sentence as one of the frats catch up with her and grabs her elbow. Her phone skitters across the pavement.
"I'll scream," she threatens. The boy laughs. He's white with blond hair and an insufferable smirk.
"Why? We just wanted to talk. You look so cold." The other three have reached them and form a semi-circle in front of her.
"She does look cold," one says, stepping behind her and pulling her into a backwards hug. Another joins the embrace, wrapping his arms around them both.
"My friend is waiting for me." Y/N's voice is shaking as she tilts her chin up to breathe over their tightly gripped arms.
This campus has a particularly significant reputation around their fraternities. And this isn't her first run-in. She went to a lot of parties freshman year that she was way too young and stupid to be at. She doesn't recognize their faces, but she knows the letters on the twin jackets two of them wear. Her hands are shaking from more than the cold now, but she can't push the boys off, so she tries to stay calm and wait them out. They'll get bored. One keeps his arms around her waist and rests a chin on her shoulder. His pelvis is pressed firmly against her back. She flutters her eyes closed and breathes deeply through her nose.
"Where ya heading?" the blonde leader asks. He moves closer to her, wrapping a strand of her hair around his finger.
"We're gonna go find somewhere to chill. You should come."
"Aww," a voice says in the dark behind her. "You have to kidnap girls because no one wants to be around you of their own volition?"
The boys turn to see who spoke, and the weird girl from stats class is walking toward them. She's not as tall as the shortest guy, but she walks like she's the biggest one there. She jerks her head to toss her hair from her face, tilting her chin up at them like a challenge. Her hands are tucked into her red leather bomber jacket, but her eyes carry a distinct and clear threat. The boy who was holding Y/N drops his arms to puff his chest at the girl like a cartoon bully. Y/N would laugh at him if she weren't scared silent.
"You volunteering?" Blonde Boy sneers. She stops a few steps away from them, looking each boy up and down before she finally speaks.
"Why don't y'all scurry back to your rat nest and sleep off all those Capri-Sun-Everclear cocktails?" One boy has kept the biggest distance from Y/N and seems the most in charge of his faculties puts a hand on Blonde Boys shoulder.
"Come on, guys. Not worth it."
The drunkest one stumbles toward her with an extended finger. "You've got a little attitude, huh?"
She doesn't take her hands from her jacket pockets as he gets close enough for her to slam her knee into his crotch. He groans, but it's closer to a squeak, which makes her rat comment funnier. Y/N giggles at that, either from the situation or from her own nervousness.
"That's assault!" Blonde Boy snaps. "We'll get you kicked out, bitch!" She crosses to him in two strides to stand nose-to-nose with him and says nothing.
The sober one roughly grabs the other two by their shoulders. "Come on, guys. We gotta stay in the clear for a while. You heard dean Fury." Reluctantly, they follow him. The one the girl kicked spits on the ground and sniffs loudly as he leaves. The girl watches until they turn a corner and disappear out of sight.
"Assholes," she mutters. Then she turns to Y/N. "You okay?" Her voice is quieter now. It's a very sweet tone despite the low gravel. Y/N thought she was putting on a voice to scare the boys, but apparently that's just how she speaks.
"I'm fine," Y/N says quickly. She crosses her arms to hide her trembling hands. "They're just...being jerks. It's fine." The girl evaluates her.
"I'm Natasha."
"Y/N."
"Nice to meet you, Y/N. Can I walk you home?"
Y/N nods. "If you're not busy, that would be nice."
Natasha clears her throat and puts a hesitant hand on Y/N's shoulder. "You sure you're okay?"
Y/N feels her chin quiver as the adrenaline works its way out of her body. She steps into Natasha and drops her face onto her shoulder. Natasha's arms are quick to wrap her in a hug.
"It's okay," she mutters into her hair. "They're gone. Come on, where's your dorm?"
tasm!Peter x Nurse Reader
You cannot tell me post everything with Gwen when he felt able to date again (when May talks him into it), that Peter Parker wouldn’t end up with a nurse. Someone who knows the pressures of saving lives. Able to patch him up when his wounds are a little too deep and gonna take longer to heal. Someone who also works late nights so wouldn’t be bothered if he was out late on patrol…
Tumblr media
Imagine this…
It’s Christmas a couple years after the incident. After completing her training Aunt May now puts in shifts at the hospital. She’s gone out with a few other Nurses for Christmas drinks. Peter comes to collect her as it’s late. That is when he gets introduced to you.
You are politely waiting with May until her Nephew turns up so you have your own peace of mind she will get home safe. From the way she talks about him when you work the ward together, you are expecting some nerdy guy who couldn’t get out of his parents basement, not… well, Peter.
You make polite introductions, May introducing you to each other. “Y/N this is my nephew Peter, Peter this is Y/N they work on the ward with me.”
Peter is enamoured by you immediately. Not only does he find you attractive but you also care for his Aunt and he assumes you provide the same care for your patients.
You part ways, but that won’t be the last time you see each other.
Peter keeps an eye out for you now, whenever he goes to meet May from work. You exchange small talk. He realises you work the late shift often, meaning you’re only just starting as his Aunt is finishing.
He starts spending his nights thinking of you working at the same time he is. Wonders if you’ve ever had to patch up any of the guys he’s ended up sending to the hospital over the years.
It doesn’t take May long to recognise that Peter likes you. “Ask her out already?” “What no?”
He ends up running back inside the hospital to ask you out.
You end up having a coffee date and a walk around Central Park. Conversation is easy and Peter is starting to think Gwen may have sent you to him from the great beyond because all of this felt so easy, it had to be fate.
You’ve been dating a couple months when he shows up on your doorstep with a massive gash in the side of his arm. He’d managed to get caught around a metal cable and the wound was too deep for him to heal without a little help but he knew he couldn’t just walk into the nearest hospital.
You patched him up, minimal questions asked, until you woke up next to him the following morning and his arm was almost healed. He had to come clean.
You were accepting at first. You had always admired Spider-Man and how he helped the people of the city. Protected them from the big bads and the little ones. But when Peter starts getting too comfortable around you and showing up with one too many careless injuries you start to become more and more guarded.
You find yourself checking the news app on your phone way too often. You walk into patients rooms when the news is on to watch and make sure he’s being safe.
When he comes home with 3 bullet wounds for you to patch up, one of the bullets still in his body, you realise enough is enough. “I can’t do this any more Peter.” It’s the hardest things you’ve had to do. You promise to keep his secret but dating him is too hard and for your own sanity you need to go your separate ways.
Peter reluctantly agrees to your wishes but it kills him inside. He realises he got to comfortable. Too attached to this idea you were his angel sent by Gwen that you’d put up with anything and always be there. When you’re not, Peter struggles.
He goes out looking for more fights to punish himself. Looking for bigger bads to battle hoping the victories and admiration from the crowds will fill the void inside him.
That is until he comes up against the biggest bad and his most challenging fight yet. And somehow there you are. As if by magic. As if you really are sent by Gwen, placed in the right place at the right time.
He’s so broken, on the verge of death. The bad guy got away while he lay broken in the street. Crowds gather around him. Their beloved Spider-Man is bleeding out and practically dying on the street in front of them and they have no idea what to do.
You had seen everything. It was awful. All you could do was watch on helplessly as if Peter was a dogs play thing. The man, or was it a creature, picked him up like he weighed nothing and threw his body down the street. The roof of a car caved in with the force of it as he landed on top of it, the windows crushed with the force.
Peter had managed to roll himself off the car but he staggered and stumbled, his arm wrapped protectively around his side as he stumbled down a side street. You saw the crowd begin to gather around him as you raced down the street to get to him.
You pushed your way through bodies to get to his unconscious body. You give him a quick check over as you fall to your knees. “Give them some space” you hear someone call out, ushering the crowd back a bit as you realise you’re gonna need to do CPR. You begin doing chest compressions, your hands folding over the spider emblem now torn across his chest. “Come on Pete.” You mumble as you push down, your head counting out the beats on autopilot as your training took over. You lift his mask just enough to reveal his mouth and nose as you begin to give him mouth to mouth. You don’t even know how long you keep doing that, back and forth between the two when he suddenly takes a deep breath in.
The crowd cheers around you but you are only focused on one another. And just like that it’s like the last few weeks of your break up never happened.
After resting in your bed a couple days, Peter is better equipped and healed enough to finish what he started. After that he promises to stick solely to friendly neighbourhood stuff as much as possible. And he’s good to his word for the most part.
You fall into a good routine together. When you work nights, he goes on patrol. On your nights off, you both stay in watching movies in your small apartment whilst eating ice cream and pizza.
A year later Peter is asking for Aunt May’s ring to ask you to marry him. It’s a simple engagement story. He swung you both up to the top of the Empire State Building and did the Spider-Man equivalent of getting down on one knee. He slowly lowered himself down upside down with the ring in hand before you. He’d barely gotten the words out before you were crying and shouting “Yes, Yes, YES!”
not so secret secret identity
summary: your best friend needs to tell you something. too bad you're oblivious.
a/n: literally me bc i never watch any news or anything. also first time doing x reader!! lmk if there's anything y'all wanna see, and i'll do my best :)
cw: fluff, gn!reader, slightly oblivious!reader, exasperated peter parker (mcu!!), intended lowercase!
Tumblr media
PETER HAD SOMETHING to tell you, based off of his texts. or rather, something he wasn't telling you that you were very intent on figuring out.
you knocked the door to his apartment, an old tune from elementary school band that you somehow still remembered to this day. after a few beats, aunt may opened the door, offering a small smile and nodding down the hall.
"he's in his room."
you nodded, slightly embarrassed that your intentions were so clear on your face, and slipped past her - making sure to leave your shoes by the door.
you leaned against peter's doorframe, watching his hunched-over form with an amused smile. he was probably tinkering with something again, or trying to figure out his english homework. you pushed off the doorframe, wrapping your arms around him from behind. "miss me?"
after a rather undignified shriek and a few exchanged words, peter was sitting on the edge of his bed as you laid down, legs propped up. you both waited for each other to speak
"so-"
"i was-"
the two of you stared at each other before looking away, slightly embarrassed. "can i..?" peter asked, glancing at you. you nodded, stretching your arms as you waited for him to speak.
"so, you're- you're probably here cause i quit everything, right?" he asked, fiddling with his fingers. you hummed, bobbing your head side to side.
"maybe."
he looked up at you, confused. "maybe? then- why're you here-?"
"it's kind of obvious you're going through a thing," you said, cutting him off. "aunt may says it's puberty, but either way i'm sure you'd prefer to be around someone instead of by yourself. kind of what support groups are for," you added, referring to the name of their group chat with mj and ned.
he let out an odd noise, a sort of exasperated chuckle. "it's not puberty."
"didn't say it was."
"you just did."
"no, i said aunt may said it was puberty. learn to listen, young padawan," you said, flicking his forehead.
"that's not even-! you can't use star wars quotes if you haven't watched the movies."
"i can, and it's called the first amendment."
"so if i misquote that weird crow kid from your book series?"
"hey," you said, sitting up and poking his chest. "nobody disgraces kaz brekker like that. the bastard of the barrel deserves better."
the two of you stared at each other before breaking into laughter, soft giggles and muffled snorts. as you laid back on the bed, feeling a bit lighter than before, you noticed a flash of red and blue from peter's closet.
"yo, pete?" you asked, nodding to the suit. "isn't halloween not for another few months? what's with the outfit?"
you watched as peter's face morphed through three different emotions within the span of a few seconds. he paled, lunging for the suit and kicking it back into his closet, then slamming the door. he turned back around, offering a sheepish smile. "uh.. costume party?"
you raised an eyebrow, an amused huff escaping you. "want to try again?"
he stared at you for a second before slumping, a depressed look on his face. he tossed himself onto the bed beside you, nearly hitting you in the face. you didn't say anything, though, giving him a minute to get his thoughts together.
after a few minutes, you heard his voice again. "promise me you won't tell anyone."
you blinked, cocking your head at him curiously. he wasn't looking at you, face still planted in his sheets. biting back a smart remark, you nodded. "i promise."
you heard a sigh escape him, and then he was sitting up, staring at you hard. and then,
"i'm spiderman."
silence blanketed the pair of you for a few seconds, soon turning into a minute. you merely blinked, confused. "who?"
he seemed confused, too. "what do you mean, who? spiderman! you know, the- the dude in red and blue? with a mask? who protects the city?"
you looked sheepish, lips moving soundlessly as you tried to think of a way to respond. "pete, i- we both know i like, never leave my house," you said. "i-i didn't even know this guy existed."
peter stared blankly at you, his confused expression slowly turning to disbelief as a laugh escaped him, then another, and then he was laughing completely, small tears escaping him.
"y-you! i was- i was so scared of telling you! and you- you don't even know who he is!" he laughed, trying to muffle himself and ultimately failing.
after a moment or two, you started to laugh as well, the pair of you chortling at your own oblivion. aunt may smiled to herself in the other room, glad that, even as he was going through puberty not, he still had friends like you to help him through it.
and yes, peter eventually did explain spiderman to you in detail - a powerpoint presentation, complete with ironman memes and snacks - and yes, you did end up whacking him with a pillow when you learned of all the times he nearly died, but peter didn't mind at all.
he didn't mind because the feeling that echoed in him as he tucked you into his bed, exhausted from a pillow fight and an overdose of sour gummies, was warm and fuzzy and precious and made him smile a little too wide for his liking.
and, he thought to himself as he looked up at you from his makeshift bed on the floor, if you could handle this confession so well, then you should be able to handle another.
Tumblr media
here with another one! i think i'm liking the casual romance thing, it's so nice to experiment with :3 i've always loved this spiderman trope too lmao, it's so cute and such a mood. anyway, happy days to you all <3
Meanwhile, Peter is freaking out trying to figure out if Tony asked him to hang out on Valentine’s Day for a reason. “Wait, you’re hanging out with him on Wednesday?” Ned’s voice said through Peter’s headphones.
“Yeah, why?” Peter erased the last part of the equation he had been working on and flipped his pencil back over to try again.
“Wednesday is Valentine’s Day.” MJ sounded amused.
Peter’s head shot up to stare at his best friends on his computer screen. There was no way…he looked up at the calendar hanging on the wall above his desk and stared. Wednesday was indeed Valentine’s Day. Oh.
“Why would he invite me to hang out on Valentine’s Day?” Peter blinked. “Oh my god, what if he asked me to hang out because he knows I’m a single loser who would be all alone and he felt bad for me?” His voice raised an octave as he rambled on, anxiety flaring.
“Calm down, dude,” MJ rolled her eyes. “He probably doesn’t even remember the day of the week, let alone what stupid commercialized holiday it is.” She did air quotes around the word holiday.
“No, you’re right, yeah. Yeah.” Peter nodded.
“Still haven’t told him about your massive crush, huh?” Ned shoved a handful of chips into his mouth.
“Of course not!” Peter squeaked. “He does not need to know about that. Oh god, what if he knows about that? And that’s why he invited me over? What if he’s going to make fun of me? Or worse, what if he likes me back?!”
“Peter!” MJ yelled. “Breathe. Tony would not invite you over just to humiliate you. I might have a lot of issues with the man and his hoarding of wealth, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t see how much you mean to him.”
“Wait,” Ned cut in. “How would him liking you back be worse?”
Peter groaned and dropped his head to his desk with a painful thud.
—-
By Wednesday, Peter had worked himself up, back down, and then back up several times. He spent the rest of Saturday night on the call with Ned and MJ, the only way they could hang out now, being at three different colleges. On Sunday, Peter took his laundry to May’s and had dinner with her before swinging around Queens for a bit. He tried to get out and patrol his old neighborhood, but with his dorm closer to campus in Manhattan, it didn’t always happen.
Classes were normal, which was nice, but it gave Peter too much time to think about seeing Tony on Valentine’s Day. He kept up a constant stream of messages in the group chat, eventually causing MJ to send the rolling eyes emoji and put on Do Not Disturb. MJ was probably right, Tony probably didn’t even remember what day it was when he asked Peter to hang out. Wednesdays were Peter’s easiest days, schedule wise, and Tony more than likely remembered and that was why he picked Wednesday to hang out.
Peter had himself convinced of that when he finally activated the suit and took off towards the tower on Wednesday afternoon. It was nothing, just friends and superhero colleagues hanging out, like they did all the time. There was no reason to think anything deeper was happening, pfft why did he even get so worked up? That was dumb.
Launching himself higher on his next upswing, Peter let go of the web and sailed through the air towards the landing deck of the tower. He landed in a crouch, popping back up quickly, mask retracting as he skipped towards the sliding glass doors.
“Welcome, Peter!” Friday greeted him.
“Hi, Fri!” The rest of the suit retracted into his web shooters once Peter had removed his backpack. He flung it onto the couch and headed to the kitchen for a drink before going to find Tony, as was his routine now when coming to the tower. Peter stabbed the straw into the top of the juice box and wandered down to the workshop, slurping happily.
Tony was where he usually was when Peter came to find him, hunched over a worktable. This time he was soldering something, so Peter came in quietly. Nothing worse than being startled while doing something delicate, he knew. It didn’t seem to matter, though, because before the door even finished sliding shut behind him, Tony was looking up, his smile already forming.
“Hey, Pete.” He pulled off his goggles and set the soldering pen back in its holder. “How was class?”
Peter told Tony about the lecture, his only class on Wednesdays, as he finished up his juice, suction noises included, which made the older man roll his eyes. Peter laughed and tossed it towards the can, landing it without even looking.
Tony shook his head. “Show off.”
Peter grinned, heading over to his own station to check on the latest batch of web fluid.
—-
Peter could feel Tony come up next to the table, his arm hairs picking up the slight change in air flow as Tony moved. He looked up from his notes and noticed the sky outside was dark. “How long have we been working?”
“About three hours, but Friday says it’s time for dinner, so,” Tony shrugged in a what can you do? kind of way, as if he didn’t have the power to tell his own AI no. “What are you in the mood for? Your pick tonight.”
That gave Peter pause, and he swallowed. All the thoughts of “was this or wasn’t it?” that had quieted while he worked, came flooding back to him. Normally, Tony just had Friday order them whatever was fastest (usually because they got caught up in their work and were starving by the time they called it quits in the lab), but letting him pick sounded almost…date-like. No. He had already gone over this with himself, they were just friends hanging out.
“Uhm, Italian?” Peter inwardly winced. That was such a romantic Valentine’s cliche. Ugh.
“Sure,” Tony turned his attention to Friday. “Order us up some chicken alfredo, and stuffed shells, baby girl. Oh, and some cannoli, from the usual place.”
Dessert, too? And Tony remembered that the stuffed shells were his favorite. Oh, man…
They headed back up to the penthouse and got comfortable on the couch, Friday pulling up the movie list for them to browse. Dinner and a movie wasn’t unheard of for them, so Peter forced himself to calm down. There was no way this meant anything more than their hang outs usually did.
“You okay, Pete?”
Tony’s voice cut through Peter’s internal panic and he turned wide eyes on his mentor.
“What? Yeah, of course.”
“You sure? You look like you’re gonna hurl.” The man’s brow was furrowed in concern.
Peter wanted to bury his head under the cushions and never come out. How embarrassing for Tony to have noticed he was freaking out. And how embarrassing to be freaking out over nothing. Tony was a straight-forward guy, he does what he wants and doesn’t do what he doesn’t want to. If he wanted this to be a date, he would have asked Peter on a date. It probably would have been way fancier than lab time and ordering in, anyway.
“I’m all ears if you need to talk about anything,” Tony offered. “I was in college once, I know it can be a weird time,” he joked.
“No, it’s not that,” Peter assured him. “I just, uh, sorry. I’m being weird. Ignore me.”
“Something is obviously on your mind, so spill.”
Peter wanted the floor to open up and swallow him whole. God, his face must be a tomato by now. “No, it’s fine- it’s nothing.” He bit his lip, physically trying to keep the words in. He tended to word vomit when he was nervous, and Tony tended to make him nervous. Peter seemed to always be word vomiting around the man.
Tony was quiet, just looking at Peter. The younger man finally cracked.
“I just…it’s Valentine’s Day and I wasn’t sure if this was just us hanging out like normal or it was supposed to be more, but of course it wouldn’t be more, I mean. You’re you and I’m me, there’s no way it would be more. And I told myself that, and MJ told me that, but my stupid brain has not let me not obsess over it since Saturday!” Peter rushed out. “And now you let me pick dinner and you got dessert and it’s Valentine’s Day.
“And I know it’s so stupid to assume, but then this stupid crush goes and convinces me that everything you do is a sign that you like me, too, when in reality it’s probably such the opposite because you have never given any indication that what you feel for me is anything but platonic, and Valentine’s Day is just a made up commercialized holiday so-” He glanced over at Tony and the man was staring, wide-eyed. Peter’s mouth snapped shut and he sunk further down into the couch. “Maybe I should go,” he mumbled.
“Well…first off, I didn’t realize it was Valentine’s Day,” Tony said slowly, before Peter could get up.
Peter nearly facepalmed, because of course. He had worked himself up over nothing and now he’s spilled his guts all over the place and there’s no way to shove those back inside.
“And second, that was a lot. How long have you been holding that in?”
Peter bit his lip. “A…while.” Tony looked expectant. “I mean, I always had like a celebrity hero-worship crush on you after Iron Man came to be. And then I met you and it sort of became more than a crush, but I knew nothing would ever happen because of Miss Potts and my age, so I tried to ignore it. That obviously has not worked well,” Peter said self-deprecatingly, looking down at his hands where they twisted in his lap. “And then after you and Miss Potts ended things, and I got older, well.”
The older man studied Peter for a minute. “What if I told you there were some not so platonic feelings on my end?”
“What?” Peter’s head snapped up, eyes wide with shock. He was sure he heard that wrong. There was absolutely no way that someone like Tony Stark would ever like him…
“Kid, fuck, Pete,” Tony sighed. “I’m, what, 30 years older than you? I had to keep that as buried deep as I possibly could. There are so many potential ramifications with just our ages alone, let alone the whole mentor-mentee situation. I wasn’t quite ready to admit to myself that I had any feelings or attraction towards you, especially when you were 17 or 18. It made me feel like a dirty old man, and I never wanted to pressure you into anything. Which it felt like it would be no matter what,” Tony explained. “But, you brought it up first.”
Peter blinked several times before looking over at Tony. “I mean, I’m clearly not all that opposed to the age thing…”
Tony stared before snorting. “How do you go from a rambly nervous mess to a cheeky little shit in the span of three minutes?”
A shrug. “Natural gift, I suppose.”
“C’mere,” Tony held open his arms.
Peter hesitated for just a moment. Tony didn’t move, though, just waited for what decision Peter would make. Finally, the younger man scooted over on the couch and let himself be enveloped into Tony’s warmth. The embrace was comforting, and felt so familiar despite this being the first time they’d been like this.
“I’m willing to try if you are,” Tony whispered.
Taking a moment to think about it (something that MJ would be proud of him for, he was sure), Peter nodded. “I really like you, Tony, more than I probably should.” He rubbed his finger over the stitching of the pocket opening on Tony’s jeans.
“You said you’d had a crush on me as a kid, yeah?”
“Yeah,” Peter agreed. “I didn’t really know or understand who you were when you were just Tony Stark, CEO of Stark Industries. I heard about you from time to time, mostly Ben or May shaking their heads about some new weapon or scandal. Sorry,” he added.
Tony snorted. “They weren’t wrong.”
Peter hummed. “But once Iron Man existed, well, you were a real life superhero. I was eight, that was the coolest thing ever for me.”
“Jesus, eight,” Tony groaned.
“Don’t make it weird!” Peter gently shoved his elbow into Tony’s ribs in warning.
“It’s already weird.”
“True.”
There was silence for a few moments. “So, how did it feel to come home and find me sitting in your living room?
“Oh, man,” Peter giggled. “Pretty sure my stomach dropped to the floor, and then you took me to my room and shut the door,” Peter turned to look at the man. “My fourteen year old, recently-discovered-pornhub brain nearly exploded.”
Peter shook with Tony’s laughter, smiling at the reaction to what was once such an embarrassing memory for him. He snuggled further into Tony, still a little stunned that he could. They both sat there, content in the quiet of the penthouse. After a while, Tony finally spoke.
“We should go on a second date,”
“We haven’t even gone on our first,” Peter laughed.
Tony laughed, too. “First dates are always full of nervous energy and awkward conversations, but if we count tonight as our first date, then I can take you out and spoil you the way I want and we can call it our second date,” the man explained. “Then, all the first date jitters are solved! Plus, as you pointed out, it is Valentine’s Day and I got dessert.”
Peter had to admit that was pretty sound logic, and Peter knew he was going to need all the help he could get on a date with Tony Stark. He would be awkward no matter what they called it, but thinking of it as a second date was helping to ease Peter’s mind already. Also, a first date of take out and a movie snuggled on the couch sounded perfect to him. “Okay, now hurry up and pick a movie.”
Tony picked Empire Strikes Back. He wasn’t a genius for nothing, after all.
Note
for the reverse writing trope how about academic rivals except it’s two teachers who compete to have the best class (maybe with neal x sara to keep the white collar theme going cause i’m loving these wc drabbles and i adore how you write them together in your fics😭🫶)
This prompt was so fun I didn't want to stop writing. One of these days I may add more scenes. Here you go:
You Stole My Raphael
FBI Agent Peter Burke is sitting in the office of Ivan Sherkov, dean of the Art History department at Columbia. It’s late on a Monday afternoon, so there aren’t many students around.
“You stole my Raphael!” It sounds like a woman, her voice echoing down the corridor.
“I borrowed it.” The response comes from a deeper voice. “I was going to return it this evening. If you hadn’t come back early, you’d never have known it was gone.”
“There they are,” says the dean. He walks to the door of his office. “Professors, do not keep our guest waiting.”
The squabbling professors look young, in Peter’s opinion. They couldn’t be more than two or three years beyond finishing their PhDs. Ivan introduces them as Sara Ellis and Neal Caffrey, the newest members of the department.
Peter explains his goal. He’d started his career in the FBI’s Art Crimes division in D.C., where he’d received a decent overview of art. However, his new White Collar Crimes division doesn’t have that kind of background. He’s looking for a seminar to help his team learn the basics they need when dealing with suspected art theft.
Sara and Neal both look rapt.
“Yes,” Neal says. “The methods of identifying a forgery are fascinating. I can definitely teach them the leading techniques.”
“What they need is an overview of provenance,” Sara says. “I can teach them how to research the history of an artwork and to identify the signs that the provenance is questionable.”
Ivan looks at Peter. “Which seminar do you want?” he asks.
“Both,” Peter says.
Neal and Sara exchange a surprised glance.
“This will be interesting,” Ivan predicts.
“What were you saying about a stolen Raphael?” Peter asks as he and the two professors leave Ivan’s office.
“I have a print of Raphael’s St. George and the Dragon in my office,” Sara says. “Or I did before I left on vacation.”
“You’ll have it back before the day is over,” Neal grumbles. “I was just using it as an example for one of my classes. The level of detail is fantastic. It’s the latest in reproduction technology, based on the newest digital technology. You can see so much detail of the brush strokes… Honestly, you should be flattered that I took it.”
Peter smiles as they walk away. They aren’t so much squabbling as bantering. It’s so fun to watch that maybe he’ll sit in on the seminar with the rest of his team. In fact, maybe he should invite this duo of professors to consult the next time there’s a high-profile art theft.
En Route (Peter Parker X Reader)
PART 7
Summary: Peter Parker is aboard the Argo III, the world’s biggest passenger ship. He was sent by Tony Stark to strike a deal with Silver Sable, a wealthy businesswoman. But Stark’s deal will have to wait, as Peter has set his eyes on something- or someone - else.
Tumblr media
“Mr. Parker.”
The voice was unmistakably commanding and cold. Peter stiffened and turned around slowly, his eyes widening as he saw Silver Sable standing at the end of the hallway. Her platinum hair caught the warm light of the corridor, and her eyes held a piercing intensity that seemed to pin him in place.
“Oh, Miss Sablinova,” Peter said, trying to straighten himself up and wipe the nervous look off his face.
She stepped closer, her gaze unwavering as she studied him. Peter couldn’t tell if she was amused or annoyed. “Quite the interesting time to be wandering the ship.”
“I was just—uh, getting some air,” Peter stammered, trying to regain his composure. He felt uncomfortably warm in his casual clothes, especially with Silver Sable looking at him like she could see right through him.
“Well,” Silver Sable said, a slight smirk curling on her lips, “since you’re here, Mr. Parker, I think it’s time we had a conversation about business.” She glanced briefly at the closed door of (Y/N)’s room and then back at Peter. “Unless, of course, you have other priorities.”
Peter’s cheeks flushed, and he felt a jolt of panic. Did she know? How could she know? He shook his head quickly. “No, no. I’m ready. Let’s talk business.”
“Good,” she replied curtly. She turned on her heel and gestured for Peter to follow her down the hallway. He swallowed hard and quickly fell into step behind her, trying to shake off the lingering heat in his face.
They walked in silence until they reached a quieter section of the ship, a private lounge overlooking the vast ocean. Silver Sable stopped by the window and gazed out, her expression unreadable.
“Mr. Stark sent you here to strike a deal on his behalf,” she began without preamble. “But it seems that Mr. Stark’s trust in your abilities may have been misplaced.”
Peter felt a sinking feeling in his stomach. He wanted to protest, to defend himself, but something in Silver Sable’s tone told him to stay quiet and listen.
“You see,” she continued, “my organization had nothing to do with the loss of Stark Industries’ shipments. That was the result of opportunistic criminals trying to disrupt our operations. But regardless of whose fault it was, I’m here to offer a solution.”
She turned to face him, her eyes sharp. “In exchange for your company’s latest technological developments, we are willing to replace the missing shipments and ensure the security of all future deliveries.”
Peter blinked, trying to keep up. “You want our tech?” he asked, suddenly feeling a lot more out of his depth than he already did. “But Stark Industries—”
“Mr. Stark’s technology is already of great interest to certain parties,” Silver Sable interrupted, her voice smooth but firm. “This would be a mutually beneficial arrangement. Your company gets its shipments, and we receive exclusive access to select advancements.”
Peter opened his mouth to respond but hesitated. This wasn’t the straightforward deal Tony had briefed him on. Silver Sable was adding a new twist, and he didn’t know how to play this. But she was waiting for an answer, her eyes narrowing slightly as the silence stretched on.
“I—I’m not authorized to make that call,” Peter admitted, trying to sound more professional. “But I can pass this along to Mr. Stark and—”
“Mr. Parker,” she interrupted, her voice cold and cutting. “You are here as Mr. Stark’s representative. I need a decision, and I need it soon.”
Peter felt his pulse quicken. “I understand, but I still need to clear this with him.”
Silver Sable’s lips pressed into a thin line, and Peter braced himself for a harsh rebuke. But instead, she nodded once, sharply.
“Very well,” she said. “Contact him. Tell him what I have proposed, and make it clear that time is of the essence. I will only wait so long for his response.”
Peter let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding. “I’ll—um—get on that right away.”
“See that you do,” she replied. She turned back to the window, signaling that the conversation was over. “And, Mr. Parker,” she added without turning around, “if you’re going to represent Stark Industries, you may want to present yourself with a bit more… composure.”
Peter felt his face heat up again, realizing that she probably noticed his earlier state of disarray. He muttered an awkward “Yes, ma’am” before backing away and making a quick exit. As he walked briskly back toward his room, his mind was a storm of emotions—embarrassment, relief, and a newfound sense of urgency.
He needed to call Tony. Now.
As he dialed the number, he caught a glimpse of his reflection in the dark window. For a moment, it seemed like there was a shadowy figure standing behind him in the glass—a trick of the light, maybe, or just his tired mind playing tricks.
He turned quickly, but the room was empty. Peter’s heart hammered in his chest as he stared into the shadows, half-expecting someone to step out.
Nothing. Just his overactive imagination. Or was it?
Peter shook off the chill creeping up his spine and focused on the call. He needed to get Tony up to speed on Silver Sable’s proposal and the unsettling vibe of this ship.
