Conniving little jerk. Though, you can't really blame him too much, given he grew up unloved in an orphanage before being taken by the Black Carriage. Manipulative and always forcing a smile, basically the personification of the 😏 emoji. He hates Jade, and fears him quite a bit, seeing him as the only other person at NRC as intelligent- and willing to use his intelligence- as Tatizo.

His favorite food, of course, is tuliza flowers.

It really is irksome how jk constantly mentions jm in his lives. And yes they’re friends he can do that, but that’s not inherently the issue. He mentions other people and genuinely has a story, something worthwhile to tell about them or their times together, but everytime he mentions jm it’s: should I? maybe I could, do you guys want me to?

like these really inane bait responses to these trivial questions he could’ve just scrolled past. literally the personification of the “😏” emoji. It just comes off as pandering to me and all it does is draw jm hate.

Fire: What’s a scene that you are dying to write?

For When Everything's Made to be Broken, I have a scene in my mind of Loki meeting Theo's niece Katie (well, her cousin's daughter, but essentially her niece) where Katie reveals that Theo has definitely talked about Loki around her family, and the way Katie reveals it seems innocent to her (she's like, three years old) but sounds dirty to Loki and Theo - essentially:

Katie: "Aunt Leenie talks about you! She likes you a lot!" Loki: "Is that so?" Katie: "She said you can make people see fireworks with your hands--" Theo: (turns bright red) "--ILLUSIONS. I said you can cast illusions." Loki: "Oh, like this?" (opens hand and makes little fireworks appear, then turns the fireworks into a little butterfly that flutters over and lands on Katie's nose) Katie: (becomes the personification of the heart eyes emoji)

It would then end with Loki becoming Katie's favorite Avenger instead of Theo and Loki mercilessly rubbing it in, hehe 😏

Ice: What do you always get stuck on when writing?

SMUT. Oh lord I overthink it way too hard and then freeze and can't put anything down on the doc.

The other thing that makes me get stuck is if I try to rigidly stick to an outline - while I usually start with a very basic outline of character, motivations, conflict, and resolution, I'm very much a discovery writer - that is, how I translate the outline into a story is a fluid process for me, and its usually as I'm writing that I realize certain parts need to change or adapt.

Part of why When Everything's Made to be Broken has taken me so long is because I've had to work through and discover certain elements of the characters and adjust plot points to address questions that came up along the way. I can't say "alright by x chapter these things will have happened" or "y cannot happen until z chapter" because then I stop focusing on how the scenes and chapters contribute to the overall story and instead try to fill space or cut out important information because of an arbitrary limit/restriction I gave myself.
