Sorry if this is a weird question but how much protein do you eat to maintain your muscles? I kinda struggle with getting my protein in (I drink a 50g shake and then try to get the rest with food each day) so it'd be nice to hear what others do and how much! Ty, you have amazing outfits btw!
i live with a powerlifter boyfriend and he generally goes by the guideline 1-2g of protein per lb of body weight. i try but usually don't hit this exact goal. i also use protein supplements, for food i eat pretty protein dense meals and then usually have protein rich snacks as well. my issue is i don't eat very many meals per day, but even if i don't make the goal i usually get most of the way there
keep in mind protein will help you gain/maintain muscle but it's not the only thing you need. if you're not eating enough carbs and fat you won't gain any muscle either

“You look like a serial killer.” Glasses perched on your nose, biting into an apple of the grocery store, sampling the produce apparently.
He put milk in his cart, looking at you, his dark eyes looked fathomless, and he was about only a few inches taller than you. “And yet, you’re approachin’ me.”’ He said, wanting to taste the apple on your mouth.
You seemed distracted as usual, looking at cottage cheese, playing the apple stem, twisting it with your fingers, before looking back at him.
Another bite from the apple, the juice dribbling out of your mouth, as you adjusted your beige cardigan over an Iron Maiden shirt tucked into your jeans, “Oh, Billy. You know I just had to pet the cat,” you said looking back at him, pushing your glasses up your nose with your pinky, still chewing.
“And this cat bites,” another gallon of milk.
You narrowed your eyes, playfully. “I’ll just entice you with treats. You gonna binge on milk?” The person stocking produce looked at you with narrowed eyes, seeing you pick a grape from the cluster and pop it in your mouth.
Billy hummed, ignoring your question, “Same time on Saturday?” He pushed his cart along, laughing when you tripped over your shoelaces, dropping change out of your cardigan.
“Fudge. Stupid shoelaces.” You said, bending over and ripping them out, and pocketing them, before chasing after change. Some of it looked foreign.
You recovered quickly, swallowing another grape as if you hadn’t just face planted, and were now walking around shoelace less. “Uh huh. Labyrinth, my place. We can fangirl over Bowie together.” You said, bouncing on your feet, your hip bumping his hip, making him feel warm at your casual affection.
You plucked another grape and fed it to him, and his stomach fluttered, biting into it. It probably tasted like you right now. And a different kind of hunger gnawed at him, threatening to tear him apart at the seams.
“Sure, I’ll be sure to hide the body in time for Bowie.” He put some yogurt in his cart. Plain. Definitely a serial killer. Who ate plain yogurt? Not you, you wanted the berry with chunks of fruit.
You choked on a grape, his words making you laugh. His lips curved up, he loved surprising you. And movie nights. That too.
Your clumsy and awkward, but unbothered nature endeared him to you. Madani was beautiful, but you gave him something he was lacking.
And he was damned if he knew what.

personal notes: my granda's coming over for lunch today, i'll have to make pasta and can't really avoid the meal. turns out, i managed to make an excuse to just have a salad instead. yay me! it was well filling, and tasted great. sadly had to have some bread with it, plus the fruit + dessert + coffee combo that comes with loving grandparents xx
my sibling invited a friend for a sleepover, so that's another dinner i won't be able to get out of. i'm going to go for a looooong walk to see if i can make up for the extra calories!!
also, check out this video for a really cool short term diet! i'm going to try it as soon as my parents are no longer breathing down my neck lol

At the beginning of the month, I started dieting. Which means trying new foods sometimes that are healthier for you. As an autistic person, this can be difficult because a lot of safe foods are carb and sweet-based. I've eaten breakfast more frequently in the morning this week and found a new after-work snack. My breakfasts have been cottage cheese with peaches and a banana on the side. These have been stuff I've enjoyed before. The other breakfast I've enjoyed is Strawberry Choboni Greek Yogurt with Peanut Butter Granola and Banana. If you have flavor combination suggestions for Choboni or the Granola, I would love to hear them. As for my snack, it's been carrots and roasted garlic hummus, but after eating it for a week. I realize the carrots are too hard of a vegetable for my teeth right now. Does anyone else have some vegetable suggestions to go with the hummus that is softer?

Eugenie lost 106 pounds
New Post has been published on https://eazydiet.net/eugenie-lost-106-pounds/
Eugenie lost 106 pounds
Transformation of the Day: Eugenie lost 106 pounds. #fitover60 She committed to a new healthier lifestyle, which included counting macros, working out with a trainer, and practicing meditation and visualization. Eugenie explained what she did with great detail, so don’t miss out on this story.
What was your motivation? I simply wanted to be healthy and avoid complications of diabetes that affected my mother: blindness, heart disease, and early death. I also wanted to finally have the body I always wanted but never seemed to succeed in achieving.
After retiring at age 63, I finally had time to invest in myself and decided to be the person I always envisioned and make my weight loss a post-retirement gift to myself.
How did you change your lifestyle? I adopted all the habits that I imagined a healthy, fit, secure woman would probably have; healthy eating, not over-stuffing myself, exercising regularly, manicures, pedicures, facials, girl’s day outings, and events that were more activity-based and did not revolve around food.
I remarried, and my husband decided to make my dream transformation his project as well. He ensured we had gardens with a variety of organic vegetables, kept rabbits and chickens for range-free eggs, and sources of chemical-free, lean meat. He also built me a home gym, and I hired a personal trainer who worked with me three to four days a week. I practiced yoga, started to meditate regularly, and practiced visualizing myself as I wanted to look. I documented my health journey on my FB feed for accountability.
I am a foodie. Therefore, I do not eliminate specific foods from my diet -except sugar and foods with added sugar. I do indulge in a cookie or a piece of cake every so often- but I no longer have a taste for it. I also take a multivitamin and other supplements.
My liquids are water, coffee, tea, wine (less than four ozs with my evening meal), and the occasional scotch and water when out. I love to bake bread, cook fancy meals, and enjoy good wines.
While trying to think like a thin person, I practice moderation in my eating habits. My before work out meal is usually a protein bar, fruit, and coffee (with cream and sugar substitute). A few hours later, I might have a few eggs with wasa crackers or some oatmeal, mixed nuts and fruit, OR one of my wonderful rolls and some peanut butter or cheese (sharp or cottage), coffee or tea, and another serving of fruit. I generally don’t eat again until supper, when I eat a small plate of whatever meal has been prepared (which will include some sort of carb, protein, and veggies). Or I will have an appetizer and a dinner salad with protein in it if I am out for dinner with a glass of wine.
I am not a desert person and generally have a plain expresso and a piece of dark chocolate after dinner. Before bed, I have a sugar-free Greek yogurt or a cup of tea, depending on how full I am after dinner. Sometimes I have nothing.
I monitor my macros and treat my calories like money. I aim for a minimum of 100 grams of protein, 50 grams of fiber, and no more than 80 grams of carbs daily. I try to eat at least two pieces of fruit daily, three or four portions of veggies daily, and a serving of complex carbs. I supplement with protein bars to get my full allotment of protein. I also have “blow-it” days when I eat whatever I want.
My calorie intake used to be 200 calories higher than my BMR to maintain a calorie deficit. It now is at whatever calorie requirement I need to maintain my current muscle mass, bone density, and fat levels for optimum health. So, if I blow my calorie intake on one meal, I am free to have salad, plain vegetables, and water for the rest of the day. Because I am a foodie and love to eat, I try to avoid eating something that will blow my calorie budget early in the day and have me eating like a rabbit for the remainder of the day.
What is your height? I am 5 feet, 6 inches in height.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight? I do not weigh myself. I get body composition analysis done – initially monthly, but now every two to three months to ensure that I am on track. I currently have a BMI of 30, ranging between 190 and 193 pounds. At my heaviest weight, I was 296 pounds and fluctuated between 245 and 250 pounds just prior to my final weight loss commencing in 2019. 120 lbs of my current weight is muscle mass. My fat levels are 34%, my visceral fat is average at level 9. I am in a standard muscular body range – which is pretty good for a female aged 66. I am a controlled diabetic with an A1c of 5.6.
What do your workouts consist of? I do sets of heavy lifting combined with strength mobility for 45 minutes three days a week. I also do Hatha yoga for one hour per week. I take nature walks and hikes regularly. I also live only a few minutes from a beach and swim on a regular basis in the warmer months. Because we have gardens and animals, my days are active. We also do our own home maintenance, which can be a workout in itself.
I knew at age 66 that my body would not bounce back from massive weight loss, and I prepared myself for this eventuality. I invested in thread lifts and fillers to prevent the sunken-in look on my face. I worked with a top-notch surgeon and a first-class medical team to remove a hanging pannus. The surgery was not a walk in the park, but because I was fit, my recovery was rapid. I still have loose skin and flab on my legs and arms, but I am comfortable in my skin. I look at that bit of flab as my badge of honor for the massive amount of fat I lost in my health and fitness journey.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far? Every woman has her journey, and there is no one fix for weight loss. My success finally came when I stopped focusing on and hating measuring my worth by numbers on a scale, a Eurocentric body type, and BMI (that was normed on white males). I stopped depriving myself of foods I enjoy and not trusting myself to exercise good judgment. I started to embrace who I believed I was and live the lifestyle of a fit and healthy woman. I constantly told myself that I always was beautiful, am currently beautiful, and will continue to be beautiful for the duration of my current health journey and beyond, God willing. It did not happen overnight, but I evolved into the person I want to be, and this lifestyle is now my life.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight? If you see weight loss only as a goal (i.e., achieving a magic number on a scale or a dress size), you might find it difficult. Sustained weight loss is a transformative process requiring a change of mindset and lifestyle. If you focus on developing a lifestyle of health and fitness and on the small wins, the process tends to be more manageable as each day brings another non-scale victory on your way to success.

Since starting testosterone I am shaky "need to eat right now" levels of hungry like every 5 hours or so. Which on one hand is really nice, cause I'm actually getting hunger signals so I'm eating. But also is not nice cause is not a fun feeling. I'd much rather have mild hunger signals every 6 hours or so. That would be so much nicer.
On that note, I was hoping you might have some recommendations for meals that are easy to portion out and freeze. I don't always have the space or energy to cook and am getting very tired of frozen meals
I actually don't make myself do "meals" for that kind of hunger: I focus on having something quick and simple which I can put in my face RIGHT NOW, because when I get that 'shaky need to eat right now' feeling, I can start feeling very nauseous very quickly.
So... I keep drinkable yogurt (like kefir) and cottage cheese, hard-boiled eggs, sliced cheese, berries (for the love of G-d wash them when you bring them home from the store), and other quick, easy, and healthy foods in the fridge. I keep nuts, jerky, and other shelf-stable snacks on my person, too. You can get a big bag of brazil nuts or whatever for pretty cheap and it'll last a long time if you're eating it a handful at a time. You're likely to just eat exactly as much as you need if you are eating something that you can just 'graze' on, rather than feeling like you have to finish an entire meal because you took it out and microwaved it.
Your mileage may vary, of course, but that strategy has worked really, really well for me. I also like making quesadillas, because those are easy to make up in a single pan and I can change up the ingredients pretty easily -- my current favorite is mozz, turkey sausage crumbles and spinach, with the chipotle aioli stuff you can get from Kraft as a dipping sauce.

Try this one on for size, assuming they could eat and drink human food. What food/drink would be their favorite and least favorite? Talking about the bots of course but feel free to include the humans too (canon and your ocs if you want!)
Ooh, this one is fun, and I went nuts with it. Reference to this post about McDonald's Sprite.
It's really long, so below the cut.
Autobots (Just doing them bc I was thinking about them. If anyone wants Cons, please send an ask and I will do them)
I think Optimus has a buck wild sweet tooth and would especially like chocolates flavored things (pastries with the tea he's constantly drinking, naturally.) He would also hate cold meat, even if it was meant to be eaten cold.
Ratchet would prefer bottled juices and smoothies because they have that Super Smooth Texture, and he has all the sensory issues (hashtag projection.) He will willingly eat other foods but won't be too chuffed about it.
Arcee probably loves chili and is one of the team's spicy people. She doesn't strike me as especially picky. She'll eat anything she can get her hands on, but she's not a fan of cottage cheese. If there's an alternative, she'd prefer that, thank you.
Bumblebee probably likes softer foods because of how messed up his throat might be. Applesauce, yogurt, ice cream, things like that. Anything especially sour, salty, or spicy is a turn-off, but he actually really likes bitter things.
Bulkhead is a pot roast guy. I don't make the rules. He'd also really like barbecued foods because of the charred taste. He doesn't strike me as a guy that likes tomato-based pasta sauces, though. Pesto is clearly the superior one.
Wheeljack eats the spiciest things he can get his hands on and looks the devil in the eye while he does it. He hates coffee served any other way than black or two creams and two sugars. How he has not wrecked his digestive tract is beyond everyone.
Smokescreen likes buttered rice and chicken with barbeque sauce. He will eat a vegetable if you demand it, but he'd prefer not to. He doesn't like soda but has a Monster Energy can collection.
Ultra Magnus is a sandwich and steamed buns guy. Anything he can easily hold with one hand while he's going over documents. This being said, he's not a huge fan of milk in his cereal (or milk, period.) He'll eat it dry, thanks.
Humans
Raf likes soups of all kinds. Even better if they don't have any chunks of meat or vegetables so he can sip it from a mug while he's working. He's still a relatively young kid, so some foods are still way too bitter for him, like radishes and Brussels sprouts.
Miko loves crunchy foods. Chips, crackers, that kind of thing. She probably prefers golden curry when she's feeling homesick. She hates peanut butter because it tastes funny to her and gets stuck in her mouth.
Jack actually does like tofu, especially with broccoli and garlic. He's the kind of person who looks for a lot of textural variety in what he eats. He's sick and tired of KO burgers, but he doesn't turn it down if he's offered free meals as a work perk.
Fowler really likes stews with bread, which works out for him because most stews are very crock-pot friendly, so he does not have to cook after a long day of dealing with the bots' bullshit and putting out fires. He hates sour gummy worms. He bought them once on accident and was so disappointed.
June absolutely puts potato chips in her sandwiches at lunch and drinks iced coffee every morning. She's not strictly a vegetarian, but as she gets older, she finds herself eating less and less meat. She REALLY does not like eggs.
Bonus: OCs
Stormy really likes a hot bowl of rice and beans or cooked vegetables. They are also team "not technically a vegetarian but doesn't eat a lot of meat." They refuse to drink coffee unless it's grossly oversweetened.
Olivia loves making and eating pierogi (her favorite fillings are potato and cheese or cabbage and mushroom, depending on her mood.) She hates cranberry juice and hard-boiled eggs, don't even try it with her.
Carbon Copy would really like fish and rice. Just like a hot piece of cooked salmon flaked and mixed up with rice. They would also hate yogurt, especially ones with weird flavors like cotton candy.
Urgency would be obsessed with pineapple and ham pizza and salted watermelon, much to the potential dismay of people around her. However, she would hate watermelon juice and watermelon-flavored candies.
Horseradish would gnaw on Milkbones because they Taste, but her favorite food would be bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches. She would try horseradish because it's her namesake, and HATE it.

It was a weird feeling this morning taking my meds. I pulled three out of their containers and had an effortless thought before I put them in my mouth - “these are my antipsychotics.”
And then I pulled four more out of its bottle and effortlessly thought - “and these are my anti death pills.”
It stopped me in my tracks for a few moments.
This is really what my life has come to? Antipsychotics and meds I have to take to keep my organs functioning?
Both types of pills that I would likely die without.
Antipsychotic.
I can’t help but think of that when I take my abilify.
People tell me to look at it as a mood stabilizer, but truly, it’s an antipsychotic.
It’s literally what keeps me from going insane. And that’s a wild thought to me. That without medication I literally have the likely chance of losing my mind. Of going insane. Of becoming psychotic.
Who even is that? That person at such high risk of such scary things?
And my other pills? Keep my liver from failing. Keep my blood sugar in check. Keep my BODY functioning as it’s SUPPOSED to without the medication.
All these meds to keep me how I’m SUPPOSED to be without them.
But something in me is broken and I don’t have the luxury of being unmedicated.
And what’s wild is that some people refuse the medication or struggle to take them regularly. But my entire life depends on them. My life in my marriage, in motherhood, in my self worth, in my relationships with family. All of it depends on these medications.
So this is what it has come to.
Some days, I’m grateful for these medications. Most days anyway. But something about today, something about my effortless thoughts of “these are my antipsychotics and these are my anti death pills” caught me off guard and left me in this fog of “this is what my life has come to.”
And it will forever be like this.
And I know, in the grand scheme of Hashem’s plan for me, is that these bouts of bad news will eventually turn my life around. Get my body health in check. Get my mental health in check. It will force me to get in tune with my body and my mind. It will force me to take care of myself for the sake of life, for the sake of my kids and my marriage and my family. It will force me to create healthy habits and constantly evaluate my actions.
Even now, in the last week or two, my mind has been fighting hard to listen to my body. I’m trying to get to know her all over again. I’m paying attention to how I feel. I’m paying attention to my highs and my lows of this blood sugar game. I effortlessly stab my finger 4-6 times a day to make sure I’m in a healthy place.
I know that when my blood sugar gets to 85 I start to feel like shit - just as well as knowing that once depression hits the dishes won’t get done.
I know that yogurt makes me nauseous, and that avocado keeps my blood sugar stable. I know that I struggle with lunch and I can no longer stomach a deli sandwich. I know I’m excited for dinner by the end of the day. I’ve learned to love rice, and for some reason I can eat a piece of cake without a spike in my sugars. I guess the meds are working.
I’m getting to know her again. Her ebbs and her flows. Her struggles and wins. My healthy carbs and my not so healthy carbs.
Did you know I have to look at milk as a carb now? How shit is that? BUT I have an excuse to eat avocado and cottage cheese and multigrain toast and tuna salad. I have a reason to have a mini Twix if I’m feeling like shit.
And honestly, this isn’t too bad. Besides the nausea and the exhaustion (which I’m working on) this isn’t as hard as I anticipated. I’m not heartbroken over losing out on pizza when my husband is making amazing meals out of basic healthy ingredients. I don’t struggle to eat my veggies at dinner.
Sure I’m being forced to work towards a better life. But Hashem has blessed me with the medical care that I need and not one, but three doctors who not only listens, but literally take notes as I talk.
I guess that’s all I can ask for in this situation.
Support.
And at least He is supporting me, when my family is too caught up in their lives to even check in on mine.
AND he brought me a friend that I’ve been able to be open and share my raw honesty with. My struggles and my wins. Who guides me when I need it. Who checks in on me and who genuinely cares about how I’m doing.
So after I’ve untangled my thoughts here, I guess it isn’t too bad. I guess life isn’t too bad.

Milo keeps telling me how hard it is to meal prep… but it doesn’t have to be!! 🐱🤗🥗⁣
⁣
So many people want to get into their own meal planning and prep routine so they can not only eat healthier and feel better, but also to save time and money! ⁣
⁣
The thing is, there’s no one way to meal plan and prep. What works for one person or one family may not work for another, and that’s ok!⁣
⁣
🍓I recommend starting by planning your breakfasts each week. Find 2-3 options that you love, are nutritious, and you can make ahead and store in the fridge or quickly grab and go. This helps you stay consistent throughout the week. A couple great options are my superfoods shake, egg cups, and fruit and yogurt parfaits. ⁣
⁣
🥘 Next move on to dinner. Yes, we’re skipping over lunch for a second. Plan your dinners for the week. Then, plan to make enough so you can have leftovers the next day. 2-for-1…yes please! ⁣
⁣
If you don’t love leftovers, plan 2-3 simple lunches that you can mix and match all week. ⁣
⁣
🥕Then, simply fill in your snacks. Great options are fruit and yogurt, fruit and peanut butter, veggies and hummus, ham and cheese rollups, mixed nuts, string cheese, rice cakes, and cottage cheese. ⁣
⁣
This is the exact process I follow when I meal plan and prep. It makes me feel prepared but also gives me the freedom to mix and match as I see fit!⁣
⁣
Want to make this process even easier? I’ve put together a 14 day meal plan of clean and simple recipes for you…totally FREE! Comment below to grab a copy! 👇🏼 ⁣

Kundalini Awakening Diet and Lifestyle
- For those who have it flowing in themselves already -
by Chrism
Yes organic foods as much as is possible. No caffeine. No high fructose corn syrups. No really hot spices. No cigarettes. Alcohol is also best to surrender. If you can grow some of your food even better. Coconut milk and or water is helpful for the vitamin combination and well as the electrolytes. As is watermelon. It is individual for everyone as well. Follow what your Kundalini guides you to have. If you are to eat meat try to get wild game if you can or at least organic meats. Eat the meat even if you have been vegetarian for many years. Kundalini uses it to transform the body. Do not resist this. Same with the plants if you mainly eat meat. Always thank the plants and animals that give of themselves for your benefit. Lifestyle is to become all of the noble qualities as much of your conscious time as you can become. Loving, forgiving, tolerant, gracious, patient, trustful and trustworthy, diligent, joyful, compassionate, disciplined, considerate and kind, strong and courageous, fearless, discerning, intelligent, non egotistical, honest and truthful among others. This relates to why a person is even given the gift of grace. Become that healer, that saint in the populations. Give of your love and your care for others especially strangers. Let yourself feel the Kundalini as it brings itself to and through you every second of your life as it is the Kundalini that is taking you into the next levels of the human divine. Nothing else can really matter but your bond with God in this sense. This is what I do as well. Become that person that is the new expression of humanity on this planet. Let the Kundalini come into you in stronger and stronger waves of grace. Go out of your way to encourage its greater presence within you "as much as you can." Take the Shaktipat. Come to a seminar. Meet other awakened people and begin, in a greater way, to merge into the divine channel that is opening itself within you. - blessings and grace to you all!
--------------------------------------------
RAW FOOD AND KUNDALINI / FRUIT Pre Kundalini go with what you feel is best for you in this regard. Teach your ego consciousness to feel and discern that which your higher consciousness is communicating via the intuitive processes. When Kundalini comes your surrender to her in this way will be complete and that which is given to you from the Kundalini will dictate what is and what isnt consumed. In regards to preparing the way through nutrition. Balance is best and with respect to how others view the Kundalini, I feel it is best to have balance in what is consumed. Root vegetables and yes melon for the kidneys and adrenals but not just any melon "Watermelon" is the one that I will recommend. Meats are not forbidden in my offerings of Kundalini preparation. Meat is always an option and the Kundalini itself will give this option to some and then retract it the very next week or in a similar time period. Vegetarianism is also given and this must also be adhered to or avoided as is determined by the actual Kundalini within a person. Before hand it is also a good and viable preparatory choice. Follow the personal intuition. Celibacy is a personal choice. Kundalini in the activated or awakened state once again will take control of these expressions. But for the inculcation of an awakening or activation sexual conduct is not prohibited. The love of a person for another must be part of the equation. - blessings -chrism

Are You Eating Enough Alkaline Foods to Maintain Vital Health?
This chart provides information that shows the contribution of various food
substances to the acidifying of body fluids, and ultimately, to the urine,
saliva, and blood. In general, it is important to eat a diet that contains foods
from both sides of the chart.
Allergic reactions and other forms of stress tend to produce acids in the body.
The presence of high acidity indicates that more of your foods should be
selected from the alkalizing group.
You may find it useful to check your pH using our Personal pH Test Kit in order
to find out if your selection is providing the desired balance.
People vary, but for most, the ideal diet is 75 percent alkalizing and 25 percent acidifying foods by volume.

grocery shopping list!
these are just some safe foods i always have and try to get when i go grocery shopping. some may be out of your comfort zone, and that’s okay-- we all have different safe foods! i’m also making this to keep myself busy from eating lol
- yogurt (i get the yoplait strawberry or vanilla cups and they have 150 calories per container, but greek yogurt is lower with usually around 90-100 calories if 150 is too high)
- celery (an absolute must! one stalk of celery is only like 10 calories i usually dip mine in buffalo sauce which is super low calorie too-- about 20 per serving)
- carrots (personally i like baby carrots and obviously they’re super low cal at like 3 calories per carrot and i like to dip mine in light ranch which is like 60 calories per serving)
- eggs (boiled, scrambled, whatever. they’re roughly 80 calories per egg and are really quick for a low calorie breakfast)
- egg white patties (i get them from this brand good food made simple and they're only 35 calories! you can melt a piece of cheese on them or add bacon, ham, etc!)
- cottage cheese (i get the low fat kind so it’s only like 90 calories and it’s super great as a side or a quick snack to subside cravings and prevent me from binging)
- rice patties (i get the quaker outs brand and i love the chocolate ones which are 60 calories but usually get the caramel ones just because they're 50 calories)
- oatmeal (so this is a bit all over the place because there’s so many different kinds, but i love maple brown sugar which is only 150-180 calories per serving)
- ramen?? (okay so normal ramen is super high calorie with like 340 calories for the whole package but i found these noodles by a brand naked noodle and they’re 280 calories but they come in so many different flavors-- my favorites are chow mein and teriyaki)
- pickles (these are an amazing for salty cravings because they’re 0 calories, but just be careful because they’re high in sodium)
- strawberries (probably my favorite fruit, super great for sweet cravings and they’re like 4 calories per strawberry so you can eat a bunch and fill up)
- oranges (i love citrus and these are full of vitamin c so they’re great for your immune system plus they’re only like roughly 60-70 calories and they take a minute to peel and they’re surprising filling to me)
- mandarin oranges (these are 70 calories per container and they’re a bit sweeter than normal oranges to me and they’re good if you don’t feel like peeling a whole orange)
- raspberries (they’re like 10 calories for 10 of them and they’re delicious)
- bananas (so bananas are more of a high calorie fruit at about 100 calories but personally i find them surprisingly filling)
- grapes (another one of my favorite fruits. they’re like 2 calories per grape and i have a tendency to eat them in huge amounts)
- salsa (i get this brand called margarita’s-- the restaurant style. it’s 15 calories a serving and it has a slight spice to it so they’re amazing if you’re craving something like that)
- spinach (spinach is so low calorie at like 7 calories for a whole cup and it’s super filling if you just add a little dressing to make a salad out of it)
- watermelon (i like the cut cubes and there’s about 50 calories in a cup of those)
- tuna (a pack of tuna has 70 calories and i mix a little scoop of mayo and it’s one of my favorite quick low calorie meals)
- white rice (so i get these packs of white rice that have 310 calories which sounds like a lot but rice is super filling and a dollop of soy sauce for flavor goes a long way)
- outshine popsicles (60 calories per popsicle and they make for an amazing snack)
- hot sauce (0 calories and if you like spicy food like i do it’s amazing at making cravings subside)

01.26.2021 - Day 5
Happy Tuesday, y’all. Today I awoke at 7am as I have an 8:30 class on St.Paul campus (color & form). I scrolled through Twitter then hopped out of bed after around 5 minutes. I then made my way to my bathroom to brush my teeth, wash my face, and take my vitamins. Next I sat down at my desk and applied a simple makeup look and picked out my outfit. I packed up my backpack and off I went to meet up with Adam to bus over to St.Paul. I regrettably did not eat or drink anything until after class, but I survived.
Tumblr media
Today’s simple morning skincare
Tumblr media
Simple makeup hehe
In class we got to use our screens to make mono prints, which was very fun to do. I learned a lot about the printing process and got to do it with a seasoned pro, Miss Laura. I think we came out with some really cool prints! I took the Campus Connector back to Dinky and walked home. I made a chai tea latte and enjoyed it in the living room while checking social medias.
Tumblr media
~some printing materials~
My roommate, Isha, said something about going to Target, something I was already planning to do before my last class of the day. So we walked over to the Dinkytown Target Express and each picked up some groceries. I bought the ingredients to make rice crispy treats, some crackers, cottage cheese (the reused ink containers in the studio made me crave it), a few yogurts, green grapes, baby carrots, and some raspberries. It cost me around $30 but it was graciously covered by my mom, love her <3.
Tumblr media
A very exciting Target haul
After checking out, we walked back to our apartment and unloaded our goods. I helped myself to some of that sweet, sweet cottage cheese and watched a few episodes of Regular Show on Hulu. I have been binging the show for a few weeks now as it is easy to watch and has good nostalgia to it. I most often watch a few episodes before going to bed, as each one is only 11mins long. I was kind of tired from the morning’s 8:30 class, as waking up early is not my forte, but I have been trying really hard to fix up my sleep schedule and not nap, so I just relaxed and had some of my yogurt until it was time for class.
During class I like to crochet as keeping my hands busy helps me focus a lot better and deters me from going on my phone. After class I threw my favorite blankets in the washer then sat in my bed and played ukulele for a good 45 minutes or so. I put my laundry in the dryer and packed my bag for tomorrow, as my first class is Posture and Personal Exercise and I’m going in-person to the RecWell. Now I am just planning out tomorrow and about to get ready for bed early.
Some Numbers:
Steps: 6,361
Total Phone Screentime: 8hr 45mins
Money Spent: $30 (not mine tho)
Ingested:
Vitamins
Chai
Cottage Cheese
Yogurt
Goldfish crackers
Frosted Flakes
Zoloft
Media: Got ready listening to Mother Mother on Spotify. Sat on Tiktok , Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat a lot. Watched Regular Show on Hulu.
Juno: Pellets, water
Overall: Can’t complain about a fun in-person class AND yummy groceries! 😝 mood: happy

Oh no! They’re stuck underwater! Jk it’s McNeal B9!

Idk if it's the quarintine, or I have really distanced myself from here... I just don't care anymore. I used to LOVE to blog and now even at times when I need to or want to I don't. I think I've become more of a private person, and an adult. I'm facing reality for what it is, and it's just refreshing. 2 days ago we came back from his sister's, and immediately felt blah. Sure, his SIL was on the phone, but when we left while she was unloading dishes, she didn't give two FUCKS. I know she gave me this look of get the fuck out, but I'm not stupid and I felt that stare even when looking down (dad did that shit to me all the time) I'm glad certain states are reopening up again and I'm very thankful I can work from home but I can't wait to have our even if we have to fucking rent a house. We can be free, and not have some cunt tell me. To stop eating so many of her daughter's yogurts, use your own bottled water, or replenish your own cottage cheese when you go to the store. It pisses me off how ungrateful she has been or how she has treated us... Not even me, but for Neil's sake. His brother came down on her and talked to her about it, and I know for a fucking fact both of them (his brother and SIL) Think I don't deserve him... Think I'm some whore because my ex is getting in my head about my daughter... It looks really bad, but then I think... They don't know me, but I understand because my brother was in the same boat 2 decades ago... Except, I dont think he treated me the way she has? My 2nd oldest brother was PISSED when I said I was pregnant. Yeah, I'm still married... But, I left a bad marriage... I left a lot of toxicity and it was a huge jump, and I can't believe I did it. I think if I stayed and tried to work it out, I wouldn't be where I am. I think Neil would have left for Utah, and I would have kind of been SOL. it's been 5 months of change, and I knew this was a difficult choice and there are some days I grieve my marriage and some days I get so mad at my ex and thinks... Let me sign the divorce papers? Being in this new reality is mind opening, and I think it's everything I prayed and dreamed for... A wonderful family, a guy who is walking through fire for me, an equal partner... It's just... How do I deserve this?

Pandemic
In questions of science, the authority of a thousand is not worth the humble reasoning of a single individual.
Galileo Galilei
We live in amazing times! The world is put into quarantine, and fear and panic are being actively instilled into every mind through mass media and government activities. Yet, every person with a scientific background is scratching their head in bewilderment, because the cause of this 'pandemic' (the coronavirus) cannot be a real threat to humanity. In fact, it is not strong enough to be of any threat. Most deaths, assigned to this virus, are dubious to say the least: these are largely elderly people, who were ready to die anyway from a pre-existing chronic health condition, such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease and autoimmune illness. Many (if not the majority) of these people did not have any specific tests proving that they died from coronavirus; it was simply assumed that they died from this virus based on their symptoms. It is quite common for a gravely ill person to finally succumb to a common cold, flu or pneumonia, because their immune system is not working well and the body is naturally winding down. Everybody dies eventually, death is a fact of life, and there is a typical daily death toll around the world, fluctuating up and down with seasons. If one took all deaths, that happened in a particular hospital in one month, and blamed them all on a virus, then we can 'create' any pandemic.
What about young people and children? Healthy people without chronic health problems, if infected with coronavirus, have either no symptoms at all or go through ordinary symptoms of a common cold. Unfortunately, many young and middle-aged people in the modern world live on processed and low-fat foods, which undermine their immune systems. That is why we have some statistics of younger and middle- aged people getting seriously ill, because these people damage their health daily by their food choices. But these statistics to not amount to anything out of the ordinary; they are the same as any statistic of people dying every winter from common colds and flu. When it comes to older people, apart from poor diet, there is another factor to remember: majority of them are taking statin drugs to reduce their blood cholesterol levels. Statins make human immune system disabled, so it cannot deal with any infection properly.
Testing for viruses is expensive and not common. It is not clear what tests have been used in all the claims of 'coronavirus deaths', so we cannot say with absolute certainty what exactly caused those deaths. But, leaving all that aside, the numbers of people getting seriously ill or even dying do not justify the worldwide panic and hysteria we all find ourselves in the midst of. It is completely out of proportion! Has the whole world lost its sanity? The fear is palpable everywhere, particularly in any mass media outlet.
History shows that the biggest enemy of humanity is not a virus, or a bacterium, or any other microbe. Our biggest enemy is FEAR! Fear destroys our immune system, creates chronic illnesses in the body, destroys our relationships with other people and scares us away from Mother Nature. In short: fear destroys our lives! This 'pandemic' is one of the biggest exercises in mass fear whipped up in recent times, and it is bewildering just how successful it is!
There is no such thing as free media, all media is tightly controlled by those in power. Try to put yourself in their position: if you were in charge of a large population of people and you wanted them to behave a certain way, wouldn't you control media first and foremost? Of course, you would! Ruling people is impossible without controlling their minds. Every king, every emperor, every dictator and every government, worth their salt, have known this for millennia. The real facts about coronavirus are completely out of proportion with the mass hysteria, the pandemic of panic and fear created by the world media. Who is ordering the media to do this? Why are they doing this? What is the real agenda behind the coronavirus? These are the questions many people are asking.
Perhaps it is time for us to re-read Harry Potter by J. K. Rolling. If you only watched the films, please read the books, as films can never give full justice to the books. If reading is not to your liking, I invite you to listen to the audiobooks, recorded beautifully by a British actor Stephen Fry. J. K. Rolling has given a good description of what mass fear does to humans. The whole 'coronavirus pandemic' looks like a smoke screen. What real action is happening behind that screen, something we are not supposed to know? There are many opinions and conspiracy theories flying around, proposing different scenarios for that real action. Is there a 'you know who' or 'Voldemort' there, busy with his evil plans? Perhaps, there are several Voldemorts with their entourage of 'death eaters'? What are they up to? It may become clear at some point, but at the moment there is something more important for us to understand. Albert Einstein has observed with great sadness what was happening in Germany during the second world war. The atrocities of that war demonstrated clearly what frightened humans are capable off, and how easily they are manipulated. He summed it up with a phrase, that has become a famous quote: 'He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would suffice.' Let us start thinking for ourselves, as the real truth always exists at grass roots, in the 'humble reasoning of a single individual'. 'Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth.' - states another quote by Albert Einstein. Perhaps, it is time for us to stop obeying blindly and to start using our minds and our hearts? And, perhaps, we should teach our children to do the same?
So, what should we do at this bewildering time? Here is what I suggest.
Stop eating foods which destroy your immune system! These foods are: breakfast cereals, conventional bread, sugar, pasta, everything else made from flour and sugar, vegetable oils and everything cooked with them, Western soy products, all soft drinks and beer, all processed 'foods' and snacks, butter replacements, margarine and all low-fat 'foods', all pre-prepared and take away meals, all food additives and E-numbers. Instead, eat fresh eggs cooked in animal fat, bacon, fatty meats, oily fish, freshly prepared vegetables, liver pate and liver cooked any other way, other organs of animals (kidneys, tongue, tripe, lungs, brains). Make meat stock at home from gelatinous meats (feet, necks, heads, offcuts, skin, bones, joints, tails and other less-expensive parts of animals and birds). Make soups with this stock and eat all the meats on the bone, including the bone marrow. Make kefir, yogurt, sour cream and cottage cheese from raw organic milk. Eat plenty of raw organic butter and sour cream. If you cannot get raw milk, buy high-fat traditional cheeses, sour cream and natural butter. Make sure that every meal is rich in animal fats (beef, pork, lamb, duck, goose, chicken fat, butter and ghee). Eat fermented foods. Cook your food at home from fresh ingredients. These foods will keep your immune system so powerful and robust, that you will be able to forget about any infection and enjoy your life.
Stop washing your hands with antiseptic and sterilising lotions and potions! You are damaging your bodily microbial community, which is your most fateful ally against any infection! Instead get some soil on your hands! Dig up that useless lawn in front of your house and start growing vegetables and medicinal herbs. Lawns have become important contributors to the damage we, humans, are doing to our planet. Start taking part in reversing that damage! Get in contact with animals: cats, dogs, horses, cows, goats, etc. They are wonderful at maintaining a strong immune system in us, humans. And they are wonderful at taking us out of fear and into love!
Stop wearing a mask! It is not protecting you from anything! In fact, it is accumulating large amounts of microbes and creating a perfect moist environment for them to proliferate. Pathogenic microbes, growing on your mask, produce toxic gases, which you are breathing in. instead, spend more time outside in the sunshine, working in your garden. The beautiful spring has started! It is time to plant, to create new life. If you live in a city, get up to the rooftop of your building and create a roof top garden. There is plenty of know-how for creating such gardens (online and in books). Working outside with soil and plants will lift your spirit, strengthen your immunity, fill your blood with oxygen (which destroys any infection) and fill you with love instead of fear. And it will make your nose, sinuses and throat produce lots of virus-destroying mucous. Keep blowing your nose and clearing your throat, while working in the garden. Through mucous production your upper breathing passages clean themselves up (removing toxins, pollution and microbes), making you much healthier in the process.
Stop hiding indoors! The quarantine, imposed upon us, has given us a perfect opportunity to commune with soil, sunshine, fresh outside air and other humans in our households. Communing and sharing with other human beings is the biggest privilege of our lives! In 'normal' times we often don't have time for this privilege, because we are too busy working, earning, etc. Working together in the fresh air and in the sunlight with your loved ones is a joy! They are not going to infect you with anything dangerous. Instead, infect each other with laughter, enthusiasm, positivity and sense of humour!
And finally, do not allow fear into your life! Fear is nobody's friend! Instead, fill your life with kindness, gratitude and love. Just look at Nature: the infinite perfection of every leaf, every blade of grass, every hair on your cat, every feather on a bird and everything in a human body could only have been created out of energy of Love.
Become a carrier of this energy, an agent of this energy for yourself and everyone around you, and your life will transform! Where Love rules, there can be no fear, no hysteria and no panic pandemic.
