Fluffcember Day 12: Evergreens

Day 12 of my Fluffcember. Prompt was Evergreens.

Scorpia had never liked the cold, and quite frankly, she was freezing her stinger off right now. But for Perfuma… Well, there was a lot Scorpia would do for Perfuma. So, she allowed her friend to drag her through the snow on the mountain top, they were observing, had allowed her to drag her along even blindfolded. Oh, this really was a recipe for disaster, she had to note. After all Scorpia knew she could be kind of clumsy at times. She really did not mean it, but she could break things quite easily.

Hence, she was quite tense, while Perfuma's hands lay warm on her claws. She could hear the princess giggle was well. “It’s not far anymore.”

“That's good,” Scorpia muttered and could not quite hide her tenseness from her voice.

“Are you cold?” Instantly Perfuma was worried.

“No, no. It is fine. Don't worry about me.”

“Okay.” The wide smile was even audible in her voice. Really, Perfuma was like the warmest person, Scorpia had ever known. Even up here on the mountain she seemed to radiate warmth with every smile, every gesture, every word. It was something that Scorpia could not help but adore, as she never could be that warm, really. But what did she know either way? She had spent so long with the Horde, that it was a miracle she was not more messed up. Well, maybe she was actually more messed up than she knew?

“We are here!” Perfuma announced. “You can take the blindfold off!”

Easier said than done, as Scorpia almost took her own eye out with her pincers. In the end she felt those warm and soft hands on the sides of her face, as Perfuma tiptoed to help her.

When Scorpia could see again, she looked into those radiating dark eyes, as Perfuma smiled at her. “Look at them!” She gesticulated around them.

By now Scorpia knew the other princess well enough that she instantly knew what she was talking about. They were standing in a small forest of still green trees, their branches covered in snow – glistening in the slowly setting sun. “How are they still green?”

Perfuma admired those tall trees. Once more her hand found Scorpia's claw. “Because they are evergreens! They have evolved in such a way that the cold cannot harm them. The water won't freeze inside their needles!”

So, they might be better evolved for the cold than Scorpia was. Really, she wondered why she had agreed to come along on this little mission – looking for some ruins, that might or might not reveal some more secrets of Etheria's past – as she knew the cold did not speak to her. “Quite impressive,” she admitted.

“I know, right?” Perfuma's eyes were sparkling with joy. She carefully grabbed one of the lower hanging branches, sniffing it. “And they smell so good, don't you think?”

Scorpia had to bow down to sniff at it as well. “Yes.” There was a strange, but intensive smell on those needles. Very soothing in fact. “They smell quite…” She did not get to finish her sentence, as in the next moment Perfuma's lips were pressed against hers, making Scorpia blink in confusion.

It took her a moment to understand. This was a kiss. She had seen others do it. It was just that nobody has ever kissed her. Why was Perfuma kissing her?

When their lips broke apart, Perfuma's cheeks were glowing red, making Scorpia wonder if she might've caught a fever. “I am sorry,” Perfuma whispered. “I just… could not resist.”

Once more Scorpia found herself blinking. “It is okay. I guess.” She felt a strange tingling in her stomach. A tingling she felt from time to time when she was around Perfuma. Though she really could not place it. “Uhm…” Could she just ask, what was up with it?

“Oh no…” Perfuma whispered, as her gaze became suddenly concerned. “Oh no.”

This did worry Scorpia as well. “What is it? Perfuma?”

“I did misunderstand you, I fear,” Perfuma whispered and averted her gaze. “I am so, so sorry. Scorpia, I did allow myself to get carried away.”

This was getting confusing, really. “I… It is okay. I am…” She stared at the other princess. “What is happening?”

There was a single tear in Perfuma's eyes, which she quickly tried to hide. For some reason she seemed to be distressed and Scorpia really, really did not understand what was going on. Had she done something wrong?

“I just thought…” Perfuma shook her head, her breath shaky. “I just thought you might like me as well. I am sorry.”

Yes. Confusing was the right word. “But I do like you, Perfuma! Of course I like you! You are so sweet and…”

But once more the princess of Plumeria shook her head. “I mean, like-like. Romantically. As in love.” And suddenly her eyes were not as warm as before, making Scorpia's heart feel so strange.

Romantic like. Love. That was the thing Adora and Catra had. Or Glimmer and Bow. It seemed to be a nice thing, though it really was not a thing they had ever spoken about at the Horde. Love. Was this strange tingling feeling in her chest love? Oh no! She did not know! Why had she not talked with anyone about it? Maybe Glimmer could've explained this to her! Now she was standing here, like a big idiot, grasping for words. She did not want to do wrong. She did not want to hurt Perfuma.

“I…” What was she supposed to say? “Perfuma, I do like you. I really do. I just… I have not learned about love. I…” She sighed. “Perfuma, when I am with you, I do feel kinda strange at times. Like I can't breath anymore and do not quite know… Uhm. There is this strange tingling, right here.” She pointed at her chest. “It almost feels like falling. And… I don't know? Is that love?”

Now Perfuma was staring at her. “I…” There was this sudden redness on her cheeks again. “I…” She giggled nervously. “It might be,” she then whispered. “I think it might be.” But she sighed. “But maybe I am just wishing.”

Scorpia took her hands ever so carefully with her pincers. “Maybe… Maybe we can find out?”

Perfuma smiled again, though this time her smile was surprisingly shy. “How do you suppose to do that?”

“Uhm.” Scorpia paused for a moment. “We could try what you just did again. The kiss?”

Another little giggle, as Scorpia bend down to Perfuma. “I guess we might,” she then whispered, pressing her lips against Scorpia's once more.

CAN WE BE FRIENDS???" but it's Entrapta to the other princesses after they figure out she made robots for the horde... but its Adora to Glimmer after Angella stays in the time loop instead of Adora.... but its Adora to Catra after she leaves the horde (and the thing reversed).... but it's Hordak to Entrapta (yes thats it.).... but its scorpia to perfuma after when she finally get unchipped.... but its spinnerella to nettosa (her wife guys, they're married) after she gets unchipped.....

i think what people tend to not understand about She-Ra (reboot) is that none of the characters (minus Horde Prime) are meant to be seen as pure good or evil. People get really pressed over how the princesses treat Entrapta (which i don't agree is right) or how Entrapta did betray them, thus making her a "morally grey character" because she has obsessions and shows signs of autism. But this isnt just something that happens with Entrapta, it happens with all of the characters. Catra and Glimmer are the next obvious, so i wont go into depth there, but for instance Adora can be very prideful. She lets the fame get to her head and isolates herself from everyone else in attempts to save the world. now, the latter isn't all her fault, Light Hope and Shadow Weaver made sure of that, but its still there. Mermista wants to be the center of attention, she wants to be the most powerful of the group and have something unique like She-Ra. Perfuma struggles to get along with people who are pessimistic or even more objective because it interferes with her "vibes." Scorpia isn't the greatest with boundaries, Frosta's a fucking child, Sea Hawk is a fucking arsonist (seriously why do we skip over that one? love him but my guy needs therapy), Angella is a coward who (despite her attempts to keep her away) sends her own daughter into battle before going out on the front lines herself, and yes, Entrapta betrayed her friends. Which, despite it being manipulated into something else here, wasn't good. She may not have understood how badly she hurt her friends (until S 5), but she actively knew that what Hordak was doing was wrong because she agreed to help the rebellion. She shows later on that while she doesnt pick up on emotional cues, she does understand what is going on, she just focuses on tech, but she gets the danger and the stakes, she knows. Let me say, however, that none of these traits, from any of these characters, make them "morally grey" (i hate that fucking term btw) it makes them human. none of us are perfect. we all have flaws, we will all hurt someone in our lives, we all make mistakes. it is how you try to rectify those mistakes, that determines whether or not your character is "good." Hordak, despite every terrible thing he did, realized he was wrong in the end, and rebelled. Entrapta apologized and sacrificed her life multiple times to save not only her friends, but the entire planet, even Shadow Weaver, who I could make a whole other separate post on, sacraficed herself so that not only Catra and Adora could live on together and save the world, but so that she wouldn't be tempted with the power that was about to be unleased. The only character i can possibly think of that doesn't have an obvious flaw (that i can see) is Bow, but he's not perfect either. To suggest so would to put in on a playing field in which no human (or complex character) could survive. So for the love of god, stop looking at it like Nate made only Entrapta "morally grey" because every character in that show made mistakes.

Honestly Perfuma is definitely one of my least favorite characters which sucks since I love plant powers. Also I hate how she is the “caring hippie character” in disguise but in reality she just some jackass who doesn’t really care about anyone unless they look hot to her which is sad to be honest.

yep. she seems like a lot of people we see irl who preach about peace and compassion or whatever, but have no problem bullying people when they feel like it. i'm fine with a character like that if a. they were a villain/morally grey character or b. these flaws were addressed in the show. but they do neither of those things and instead paint perfuma as one of the good guys.

Perfuma x Scorpia x Huntara poly headcanons

Okay where to start?

While I feel like Perfuma and Scorpia got together first, Perfuma would still visit Huntara frequently, and vice versa with Huntara visiting Perfuma.

And, despite their personality differences, what with Huntara being the tough-hearted Wastelander and Scorpia being the sweetheart, when Huntara and Scorpia met each other (through Perfuma), they began to get along pretty well.

These visits became more and more frequent, and soon enough, the three of them began a polyamorous relationship.

Perfuma now has two buff babes to absolutely swoon over.

And both Scorpia AND Huntara have a sweet flower princess to swoon over too.

They're all simps for each other help-

Perfuma teaches the other two meditation; Scorpia gets the hang of it pretty easily, but when Huntara tries it she ends up falling asleep like 2 minutes later. Woman needs sleep.

I feel like while Perfuma and Scorpia live together full time, Huntara can only come and stay for a few days at a time before she has to go back to rule the Crimson Waste.

At first, receiving such tender-hearted affection from Scorpia and Perfuma makes Huntara confused, considering she's never gotten that kind of love before, and it takes her a bit to adjust. But soon enough SHE becomes the one to bring her two girlfriends close to her for hugs.

I feel like they'd also all be gym buddies; Perfuma sticking to the more calm exercises such as yoga and Huntara being a literal fucking bodybuilder. As for Scorpia, she can't decide between the two types of exercise cause she loves both her girlfriends equally, so she hops from one to another each time they work out.

They are all so smitten with you omg-

The four of you would go on picnics sometimes in Plumeria. Cause ngl, Scorpia and Huntara have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to non-Horde things like real food.

You'd better bring along your fave snack for them because you need to introduce the two of them to non-ration bar food.

I feel like you'd often go with them to work out, in any way you like, whether you like yoga, weightlifting, or maybe something else you enjoy, like dance, swimming, etc.

If you're not up to it, they're alright with that too !

Because Huntara can only come and visit for a few days, it's usually just you, Perfuma and Scorpia living together.

If you're ever sad, each of your girlfriends have a different way of comforting you; Scorpia would give you all the hugs, Perfuma would let you talk and give you advice and reassurance, and Huntara, while she isn't as good at comfort as the other two, will still listen to your troubles and put an arm around you.

And she would SWEAR revenge on the fucker who made ya cry

They would all be so supportive of the things you enjoy ! I think Scorpia and Huntara, cause they both grew up in the Horde, they would watch you do your hobbies a lot of the time.

Eitherway the three of them think you're really talented at what you do!

Cause I headcanon that Perfuma can play the ukulele and it's canon that Scorpia can sing, I can imagine the two of them making music together, and if you can sing/play any instruments, you would join them. I think Huntara would mostly just listen, as she probably doesn't sing or know how to play any instruments, but she'd make a little tapping rhythm along with the music.

Of course, you show them as much love as they do for you. Like, reassuring Scorpia when she doubts herself, calming Perfuma down when she's flustered or frustrated, and with Huntara, while she's pretty damn tough and usually puts on a front, she often feels like she's being weak (I mean she lives in a fuckin murderous desert) so you reassure her that showing love and allowing herself to be soft from time to time isn't being weak.

All in all, the three of them love you very much, just as much you do for them.
