potentially unpopular opinion but I think taylor could benefit from releasing EPs occasionally instead of putting everything on albums. I don't mind living in a post-vault world where seemingly everything she makes gets released, but I think sometimes it would maybe be better to go "here's a small collection of songs I want you to have" (either tied around a theme or just a random assortment) and then keeping albums a bit more selective and focused. e.g. I personally think you could put cassandra/robin/thank you aimee (+ potentially others) on a separate mini release without detracting from ttpd as an album.

"I remember writing this one when there was a storm going on. They get like mad storms over there [in New York], like, apocalyptic. I’m always trying to think of different interesting ways to like describe somebody but compliment them too. So in that one, I like the idea that she’s not even a thunderstorm, she’s more than one. I quite like the fact she’s plural. ‘Thunderstorms’ meaning just, y’know, awesome!"

Released in July of 2013, Coming of Age is Cordelia Love's debut album. Highly anticipated by her youtube audience, Coming of Age released to a strong fanbase and shot up the charts. Completely written by Love and produced by newcomer Nikhil Kothari before Love was signed to Roque Records, critics praised the album for Love's strong vocals and Kothari's experimental production.

I find it very ironic that at around the same time katy perry released her godawful album with doctor luke, kesha (!!!) gave us a great single (released by her own independent label !!!) that is fun and loud and everything we would want from a return of a late 2000s to early 2010s pop star. if you like music that will kill your ears you should give it a listen.

if you want to adjust a new era you have to be ruthless about editing, 100% agreed. it could easily be the man, one either wanegbt or ikywt, one song from 1989, cutting down on the ovation period (which im told is apparently still 3/4 mins), honestly even delicate or ready for it bc you know she'll pay reputation more attention after the TV is released
