ok I wasn't planning on adding this but I love animal fun facts and since a mentioned the "snake jaw" thing twice now I want to share that technically, snakes don't unhinge their jaws!
They have two lower jaws that are disconnected, which helps them to stretch their mouths so much!

So Lucky (short story)
“Your nest–” Perchclaw was going to say the words carefully, but Redkit had already tensed up.
“Sorry! I’m fixing it!” Instantly, she began pushing the moss inward to make it fluffier.
Perchclaw’s heart weighed heavily at the sight. Redkit had been living with him and Vireosong as their daughter for a moon now, yet she had her moments of fear. Her trauma must have been truly bad, if the need to be perfect or frequent nightmares were any indication.
Too, Perchclaw saw his own fear reflected in his daughter’s eyes, so deeply rooted that he could practically follow the strings all the way down to her thumping heart. It brought him to a horrible place, the Shadowclan nursery, where his mother fed him just enough to keep him alive. He could never be good enough for her, how could he be good enough for a mother who wished him dead? She pushed him away so that he wasn’t even sure she had mourned when the snake had bitten him.
Redkit’s past was the opposite, she was never good enough and that meant extra, horrible attention. Perchclaw had grown apathetic until new, better parents took him in and taught him that who he was was good enough. Redkit thought that everything she did was wrong and could be scrutinized.
“Hey, hey,” Perchclaw began gently. He lowered himself to the ground, tucking his paws beneath him so that he looked as unthreatening as possible–and cringed that he had to make himself unthreatening to his own daughter. Angry, too, at her so-called mother. “Your nest is very pretty. I like the flowers you put in them.”
Redkit’s ears were flat. “You do?”
Perchclaw smiled. “I love how you decorated. Do you think you can find some flowers to put in my nest so we can match?” On the one side, he loved that Redkit felt comfortable to put the flowers in at all now. On the other, she shouldn’t worry that her father wouldn’t like it.
Redkit’s ears pricked. “I know where a bunch are!”
Perchclaw slowly stood, purring. He allowed Redkit to take the lead until they came across a field of differently shaped and coloured flowers. They were rather withered and dull, but to everything else in the Dark Forest, they might as well be as bright as the sun.
One flower in particular caught Perchclaw’s eye. “Look at this, Red!” He went to pluck it. “See this?” He asked when she faced him. “It’s a white chrysanthemum. It represents truth. Do you know why?”
Redkit shook her head, eyes round.
Perchclaw spoke around the stem. “Because when adults hold this flower, they can only speak the truth.”
“That’s not true!”
“Try it,” Perchclaw insisted. “Ask me anything.”
“Umm….did you really like my nest?” Redkit’s voice fell shy.
“I loved it,” Perchclaw answered honestly.
Redkit’s grin, ear-to-ear, was enough to warm his heart so that he wouldn’t be surprised if it burst into flames and turned his ribs to ash. “Was it….was it perfect?”
Perchclaw’s eyes narrowed lovingly. “Dear one, everything you do is perfect. I love you, so I love everything you do.”
Redkit stepped closer, smile happy but eyes slightly frightened, like she was expecting this to be a trick. “Why?”
Perchclaw began to think how to word it right, then decided that thinking would make things too complicated and it was best to just talk and improvise. It would be easy, what he would say was the truth. “Because I had a mom before grandmommy, who was bad and made me feel bad. She made me think that I was bad. I thought that I was bad for a really long time.” The recognition in Redkit’s gaze pained him. “But I wasn’t. I was good, I just had a bad mom. My new parents–your grandpas and grandmommy–taught me that I deserved love anyway, and they loved me. They loved me so much that I began to love myself. Their love was unconditional. That means they love me no matter what,” he added with emphasis. “I am so lucky to have them raise me, I’m so lucky to have brothers and sisters who love me, and I’m so lucky that your dad loves me, and I’m so, so lucky to be able to raise you. I never thought I would have a kit. I thought I wasn’t good enough to take care of anyone. But I am, and I love you so much. Every day I wake up and see you, every single thing you do is a miracle to me because there was once a time that I thought I wouldn’t be good enough for you. I love you so much already, and I hope that I will be a good dad to you, because that is what you deserve.” It was a long, simplified version of things. Still the truth. Perchclaw had to take a breath.
Redkit took several long heartbeats to respond, standing and staring. Perchclaw began to wonder if she was too young to understand when she rushed forward, headbutting him roughly in the chest, and exploded into purr after purr, rubbing her head and chin all along his fur.
When they returned to the den, Vireosong, who had been visiting his sister, watched curiously as his mate and daughter slipped through the log entrance, jaws filled with white flowers.
=============================
@ambitiousauthor
--Fun fact! Red chrysanthemum is what Myrtle gave Alder, meaning love. Family thing I guess?
--Just to be clear, this is just a tiny fib! The white flowers are regular flowers.

SalvageClan Leaffall-2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Allegiances listed above We have started to retain enough cats that I feel comfortable taking more risks. Important to note, I have mass extinction events turned on.
Tumblr media
Perchpaw and Quietpaw are eager to receive their Warrior names from their leader and mother. She names them Perchlaw and Quietshell.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After vigil, they join her on a patrol the next day.
Tumblr media
The small family attempts to take on a fox, but are largely unsuccessful. Though Perchclaw keeps a scar as a reward.
Tumblr media
Pearlpaw, still in charge of the larger medicine cat duties despite her apprentice status, is more confident than she's ever been. Due to practice or some internal revelation, she's not quite sure.
Tumblr media
Webshiver resists temptation to eat while on a hunting patrol, hoping his fellow warriors follow in his stead. He's been feeling uncertain about his status as a respected warrior lately after being held to such a high degree as an apprentice, but remains firm in his beliefs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cottonspots, now that his apprentice is grown, is free to pursue his day as usual. He's found success in begging for food scraps from the humans. Bringing his mate Hollysnow with him, he convinces her to do the same.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Salvagestar is caught with another cat in the reaches of the border by her two sons. They chase the other cat off before Salvagestar could say otherwise. Quietshell and Perchclaw are curious about who that cat might be....
Cottonspots and Hollysnow continue to take food from humans....
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The kits in the nursery are all of age to become apprentices, marking another important step in raising up the clan's next generation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
During their apprentice ceremony Stoatpaw has an important announcement to follow it!
Tumblr media
More good news follows, Howltalon is able to return to his medicine cat duties. Upon recovery he decides that his apprentice, Pearlpaw, is ready to receive her proper name. She is named Pearlcatcher at 19 moons old!
Tumblr media
Bitterclaw is a strict mentor who insists on working Stoatpaw hard. But Stoatpaw meets his expectations, much to his praise.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The other apprentices are out on their first patrol, but it devolves into ghost stories that lead to expected sibling squabbles.
Tumblr media
Bluepaw and Shellpaw struggle with their combat training due to both their mentors feeling out of place in their new duties.

Feathertail x leafpool hypokits?
Here is the Featherleaf hypokit. I named her Perchclaw.
Tumblr media
And I know you didn't ask for it, but here's Featherleaf au Jay, Holly, and Lion. Lion is now Oak because I didn't give him that golden pelt.
Tumblr media
Aside from Oakblaze, the only differences are the patterns and white spotting. And potentially the eyes.

Drew sommore Quietstar stuff a week or so ago, still just randomly generating cats for plot purposes u o u
1. Quietstar and Greystar’s biological Isleclan father, Perchclaw and his friend Carpwhisker had to bring the kits to Spruceclan to find a suitable queen to nurse them as Carp’s mate died giving birth and their clan had no more suitable queens due to famine.
2. Cricketwhisper was their adoptive mama, and she loved them as if they were her own! She kept the secret about their parentage from the kits til they were older and found out on their own.
3. Quietpaw’s mentor, Hollypath, the cool uncle
4. Greypaw’s mentor Fallowstep, the gay aunt

Mapleshade’s vengeance rewrite/ Dark Forest cat back story (OLD VERSION):
Note: I do not condone Mapleshade’s actions AT ALL. Grief isn’t an excuse to kill people. While I hate cheaters, Appledusk didn’t need to die. I love Mapleshade but I don’t condone her actions.
Mapleshade and Ravenwing were born to Deerdapple and Oatspeckle. She was born during leaf-fall, and maple leaves and raven feather had lined the nest during her kitting. She had other two littermates that were stillborn. She and Raven were spoiled by her parents as a result.
She loved training under Bloomheart and was a model apprentice. She had a fierce rivalry with Frecklepaw. Birchpaw often had to break up the fights. During this time, she met Applepaw and Reedpaw at a gathering. She latched onto Applepaw instantly. She also gained a sister when Deerdapple gave birth to Doekit.
Oakstar made Mapleshade a warrior pretty early, when Frecklewish and Birchface got their names.
The events in Mapleshade’s vengeance occur like normal except more interactions with her mother, Mapleshade and Frecklewish becoming mates, and the rising tension between Mapleshade and Ravenwing. Mapleshade starts to see her kits as tools somewhat to rein in Appledusk.
During her exile, Mapleshade isn’t stupid with crossing the river. The Floodwatchers practice was dying out and she had no idea it was going to flood. Patchkit is the only one to make it. She takes Patchkit to the barn and stays for a while with Myler.
Mapleshade wants revenge and the “calling” of her kits start. She kills Ravenwing for betraying his kin.
What Mapleshade doesn’t know is that Petalkit lived because Doepaw managed to save her against Frecklewish orders. Doepaw begs Ravenwing to help her and he begrudgingly does. Deerdapple and Doepaw take care of Petalkit. Petal trains as a Thunderclan warrior but is constantly harassed for being half-clan.
Mapleshade kills Frecklewish who was Petalpaw’s mentor which causes some cats to blame Petalpaw for the murder. She is banned from gatherings and is a prisoner in her own camp.
Patch after training under Mapleshade goes to Thunderclan and is recognized by Ravenwing and Deerdapple. He is allowed into the clan and has the name Patchshade. He gets close with his sister, Petaldusk and is one of the only cats who talks to her. Patchshade keeps some eyes on Nettlebreeze, knowing that he helped his mother live.
Patch and Petal were in a constant brawls with their half siblings Applefrost and Willownose, shyheart was soft and was kind to them. Patchshade took Deerdapple, Petaldusk, and Doefeather to see Mapleshade. Mapleshade has become an unknown terror in the clans for attacking cats at night. She is mates with Myler. (Maple gets spayed). She was overjoyed to see that her daughter was alive. Deerdapple had a few choice words for Mapleshade, she figured Maple killed Raven and Freckle. Petaldusk had her own two cents for Frecklewish’s death while Doepaw was just happy to see her big sister.
Oakstar needed an heir since both his kits were dead. He took Petaldusk as a rather unwilling mate and had Pinekit. Patchshade and Nettlebreeze got together (more like Patch kinda manipulated Nettlebreeze during his grief over Dawnfeather dying) and had Rookkit through a surrogate (sired by both toms through Starclan’s magic). Rook took the brunt of the insults about Mapleshade while Pine didn’t since he was the leader’s kit.
Mapleshade has died at this point from killing Appledusk and Perchclaw killing her like he did in the book (biting/clawing the back of her neck <- that’s how she died, her throat WAS NOT CLAWED OUT)
Patchshade wanted to help Petaldusk since he was furious at Oakstar and it gave the chance for Doefeather to become leader since Pinekit was too young and sickly. Patchshade had killed Bloomheart for his “betrayal” of Mapleshade. Patchshade felt powerful so he and Petal came up with the plan to kill Oakstar.
They settled on using deathberries since full on attack wouldn’t work. Patchshade would sneak them away from Cloudberry or find them himself. Oakstar kept both cats on a tight leash mostly Petaldusk and had her eat most if not all of her meals with him. Petaldusk took the time to plant the deathberries. She would avoid the seeds and kept yarrow around if needed. Oakstar slowly lost the rest of his lives and since Pine was too young, Doefeather became Doestar.
Petaldusk died from greencough and Patchshade died fighting against Applefrost. Both earned their spot in the dark forest along with their mother. They were there to give Pinestar a life.
Petaldusk, Larchkit, and Patchshade were reincarnated as Stonestorm, Mistyfoot, and Mossthorn. Bluestar is very aware of this fact as is Mapleshade.
Goosefeather became aware of his lineage to Mapleshade when he talked with Rooktail.
Patchshade is Mistyfoot. They started saying “Mapleshade is the best mom ever” Both Stormjaw and Bluemoon knew who she was talking about.
Larchkit is Mossthorn. Moss had a fear of water for the longest time say “they didn’t want to drown like last time”. It freaked everyone but Bluemoon out.
Petaldusk is Stonestorm. Was very uncomfortable around Tiger for a while but stopped during his last apprenticeship but never let his guard down.
The cats can/could talk with their past lives. Reincarnations have a mark from where their past life died. Only Mistyfoot has a mark since Patch’s death was the only physical one while Stonestorm and Mossthorn had/have cough issues.
Here’s Mistyfoot and Patchshade:

Characteristics of the New Clans:
Large-Lake: Large-Lake is a freshwater lake somewhere in the U.S.
Far Twoleg Place: A cat was once trapped on a Water-Sailer (Boat) and was trapped on Far Twoleg Place.
Small Twoleg Place: Small Twoleg Place is an island feared by all clan cats. Kittypets are not afraid of Small Twoleg Place.
Small Lands: The Small Lands are small islands surrounding Small Twoleg Place. RainClan Cats must swim to these islands before they can become warriors.
Large Twoleg Place: Not much to know. This is where most Kittypets and Rogues live.

Ruined Twoleg Place: This was a farm until it burned down. Lightclan cats go here to practice rock climbing skills.

I like the fact that they have a neutral safe place if a clan is in need.
Spring Twoleg Place: Twolegs come here in the spring and summer to camp in tents and RV’s. Cats think of this as a yearly invasion. During Greenleaf, they avoid this area.
The Dead Forest: This is a spooky place. It is told in myths that dark beings (most likely warrior ancestors who had caused the clans trouble) haunted these areas. One of the highest punishments a cat can be given is banishment to The Dead Forest.
Climbing Tree: A large tree AshClan apprentices train on.
Rapids: The Rapids are a small river that flows very fast. It flows inland towards the Starlight Cave. The Rapids are also a border for CodeClan and AshClan.
Starlight Cave: Starlight Cave is an old mine where Medicine Cats and Leaders go to speak to their Warrior Ancestors. This is where the half-moon meeting of Medicine Cats takes place.
The Mountains: The Mountains are a no-go zone for Warriors. This is another place where some cats are banished.
Large Pine Forest: This is the home and hunting place of CodeClan.
Alright, so not much information about the clans themselves and their culture, but it looks like you’ve put a lot of work into the allegiances and territory! I’d love to hear more about Codeclan, especially why they are called that!

Hawkstar AU
What if Hawkfrost had remained the deputy after Mistyfoot was stolen by twolegs and then returned to the Clans? Much like some of my other AUs I had to create characters for this as the allegiances for the other clans besides ThunderClan were slim up until Omen of the Stars and I refuse to believe that RiverClan only had five (5) warriors during The New Prophecy arc.
THE NEW PROPHECY (Starting with Starlight)
Hawkfrost is made the stand-in deputy after Mistyfoot is taken by twolegs.
Once Mistyfoot is returned, Leopardstar decides that Hawkfrost will remain deputy, much to Mistyfoot’s chagrin.
Hawkfrost pushes Leopardstar to enforce the new borders that have just been established in the new lake territories. This causes conflict with WindClan.
Newly appointed leader of WindClan Onestar is determined to prove that he was the right choice for leader and sends out constant patrols to the RiverClan border.
Hawkfrost tells Leopardstar that this is some kind of test to see how determined RiverClan is. Leopardstar concedes that Hawkfrost is right and tells him to alert the patrols, “Be ready for battle.”
Hawkfrost is out leading a patrol with Stormfur, Blackclaw, and Volepaw when they spot a WindClan patrol at the border as well. Hawkfrost threatens Webfoot, telling him that WindClan should back off or blood is going to be shed.
Webfoot tells them that WindClan is just ensuring that RiverClan knows its borders. Hawkfrost attacks him, easily pinning him to the ground, “We know our borders better than you rabbit! Now back off.”
At this point, Leopardstar has only lost two lives, but Hawkfrost intends to take the rest in order to lead RiverClan at the insistence of his father: “Leopardstar betrayed me! Now she must pay.”
Hawkfrost talks with Ashfur about helping him get rid of Leopardstar, “If you help me end her terrible reign, I will help you get rid of Brambleclaw that way you can have Squirrelflight all to yourself.”
“Brambleclaw is your brother, wouldn’t you want to help him rise to power, just as you are doing yourself?”
“Brambleclaw is weakened by loyalty to the warrior code, but not us, we’re stronger than him. Help me and I’ll help you.”
Ashfur agrees to help him.
The night before Ashfur and he are going to attack Leopardstar, Hawkfrost has a visit from Crookedstar, the former RiverClan leader, “Hawkfrost, your heart is surrounded by a darkness that you cannot escape on your own. Your father marks a path for you, but that does not mean you have to follow it. You can have your own destiny without your father in the picture. You have the power to be a great leader Hawkfrost, do not let your father’s blind ambition take that from you.”
Hawkfrost wakes up and tells Ashfur that their plan is off. He claims it’s to wait for a better time to attack.
Back in the dream world, Tigerstar visits him and asks why he didn’t go through with his plan. He tells his father that it’s because there will be a better time later when the clans have more chaos happening between them.
POWER OF THREE
Between the two arcs, Leopardstar lost several lives and is down to just three remaining.
During the Daytime Gathering, the collapsed badger den actually happens with Lionpaw and Pouncepaw. Floodheart (a dark silver RiverClan she-cat), Jaypaw, and Leopardstar are the ones to find the two apprentices. Leopardstar goes down into the den to pull them out, only for the den to collapse more.
Leopardstar ends up losing her last lives to suffocation.
Hawkfrost is taken to receive his nine lives
Leopardstar - knowing that the past does not set the future in stone
Crookedstar - following your heart to make the right choices
Oakheart - every cat should be treated the same, regardless of clan or origin
Badgerfang (SC) - never trusting the shadows
Brambleberry - trusting the judgment of those around you
Feathertail - knowing where your heart truly belongs
Mudclaw - power doesn’t always come from tooth and claw
Stonepelt - fight against what is wrong, even at the cost of your life
Bluestar - loyalties to cats should come from proof of trust, nothing else.
The same night Hawkstar is visited by Tigerstar, who tells him that now is the perfect time to take over the clans. “WindClan is weak, ThunderClan is full of fake warriors, and ShadowClan is unsure of itself, now is the time to take over!”
Hawkstar tells Tigerstar to be patient.
Hawkstar makes Mistyfoot his deputy, “I took it from you once, although not by my choice, I would be honored to have you by my side.”
When tensions get high with ShadowClan, Hawkstar asks to speak with Blackstar at the border, clan leaders and deputies only. Blackstar agrees.
Hawkstar wants to come to an agreement with ShadowClan, “Tensions have run high between our clans due to the conflicting placement of our border. I think it’s time we change the border.”
Blackstar and Hawkstar agree to move the border over several fox-lengths, where a series of oak trees reside inside the RiverClan territory. Blackstar is pleased with the increased territory that ShadowClan has gained.
Hawkstar assures Mistyfoot that they lost nothing important and now that tensions have smoothed over with ShadowClan, they can focus more on WindClan.
Onestar has repeatedly tried to move the border and WindClan warriors have been smelled more than once on the RiverClan side of the border. Hawkstar decides to send in a battle patrol.
Hawkstar takes Floodheart, Shadestream (a white she-cat with black stripes), Perchclaw (ginger and black tom), Mistyfoot, Beechfur, Voleclaw, Pouncetail, Reedwhisker, Mosspelt, Pebblepaw, and Minnowpaw with him to WindClan.
The attack catches WindClan off guard and the scrawnier warriors are unable to fight off their RiverClan assailants.
Hawkstar takes one of Onestar’s lives in front of his whole clan, “Never cross the border again.”
A few moons later, when WindClan comes crawling to Hawkstar for help in their battle against ThunderClan on ThunderClan territory, Hawkstar refuses. “We have no quarrel with ThunderClan and Firestar and I have no debts to settle, this is between the two of you.”
With RiverClan not coming to aid WindClan, ShadowClan isn’t needed to help fight them off and the battle is won by ThunderClan.
When the eclipse happens and chaos follows, Tigerstar tells Hawkstar repeatedly that this is the time to strike. But Hawkstar makes no move to do such a thing.
Tigerstar calls his son weak, “When Onestar came to ask for help, that would’ve been the perfect time to destroy Firestar!” but Hawkfrost claims that Firestar’s time will come.
When Sol is driven from ThunderClan territory, he stops by RiverClan first before making his way to ShadowClan. Sol tries to convince Hawkstar that he is all-knowing and that he is the one who blocked out the sun. Hawkstar kills him on the spot, “He knows nothing and was nothing and died as little more than prey. Bury him far from here.”
Ashfur comes to Hawkstar, asking him if he will help him get rid of Brambleclaw once and for all. Hawkstar refuses to help him.
Ashfur acts alone and gets Brambleclaw caught in the fox trap.
Hawkstar sees his brother struggling to get free and races over to help him, telling him to lie still. Brambleclaw loses too much blood and ends up dying of his injuries.
Hawkstar kills Ashfur out of anger.
When Firestar arrives on the scene, he demands to know what happened and Hawkstar tells him nothing but the truth. Squirrelflight is astonished to hear that Ashfur killed her mate. “He did it because of your kits, Ashfur wanted what Brambleclaw had and plotted to get rid of him.”
Brackenfur is the new deputy of ThunderClan.
Hawkstar sees Brambleclaw in his dreams, his brother thanking him for trying to help. Brambleclaw then also warns Hawkstar that Tigerstar knows he is being betrayed.
OMEN OF THE STARS
Tigerstar attacks Hawkstar in the Dark Forest, yelling at his son and calling him a traitor. Hawkstar loses his first life that night.
Hawkstar is woken up to the news that Mistyfoot had passed in the night due to whitecough, “She was too old to fight it off.”
Rippletail is the new deputy of RiverClan.
During the gathering, when every cat is sharing tongues, Hawkstar meets Lionblaze. The younger ThunderClan warrior shows respect to Hawkstar, but Hawkstar makes a mental note not to get into a fight with the larger ThunderClan warrior.
Leopardstar warns him that great danger is coming and he should be prepared for anything.
When the river dries up, Hawkstar himself goes to help clear the dam. He loses a life fighting the beavers.
When Jayfeather comes to plead for catmint, Mothflight gives it to him. Hawkstar stops the medicine cat on his way out, “Tell Firestar to watch his back, I have a feeling something bad is coming.”
Hawkstar hopes his warning to Firestar will save him from his father’s wrath.
Ivypool’s mentor in the Dark Forest is Thistleclaw.
Hawkstar goes to visit Tigerstar in the Dark Forest but is surprised to see Icewing there as well, training.
In the waking world, Hawkstar questions Icewing, asking what she was doing there. Icewing claims that she is just there to become a better warrior and knows nothing about the cats that train there. Hawkstar tells her the truth about the Dark Forest, but decides to use her as a spy.
Firestar comes to speak with Hawkstar about his warning. Hawkstar explains that he fears Tigerstar is still angry with the clans and with Firestar the most. Firestar tells him that ThunderClan will be prepared for anything and that not even Tigerstar scares him anymore.
Icewing tells Hawkstar that the Dark Forest is planning to raid the clans and kill off anyone who doesn’t submit to them. Hawkstar tells his warriors to double up on battle training and the defense around the camp.
When Firestar calls all four leaders and deputies to the island and tells them about the prophecy, Hawkstar says that he knew something was off about Lionblaze. Hawkstar says that RiverClan will fight to the death against the Dark Forest.
During the Great Battle, Hawkstar loses a life fighting off three Dark Forest warriors. He risks his own life to save Squirrelflight from Ashfur’s spirit. Brambleclaw then comes and kills off Ashfur for the final time. The two brothers share a moment, “We need to find Tigerstar. This won’t be over until he is dead.”
The pair arrive to find Firestar and Tigerstar fighting to the death, one last time. Firestar kills Tigerstar and since he never got caught in the fox trap, still has one life left after he died from his injuries.
ThunderClan deaths: Ferncloud, Mousefur, Sorreltail, Brackenfur
ShadowClan deaths: Applefur, Cedarheart, Shrewfoot, Redwillow, Toadfoot
WindClan deaths: Ashfoot, Owlwhisker, Swallowtail, Torneart, Sunstrike, Webfoot
RiverClan deaths: Dapplenose, Hollowflight, Floodheart, Robinwing, Troutstream
Harespring is the new deputy of WindClan, and Lionblaze is the new deputy of ThunderClan.
A VISION OF SHADOWS
When Molewhisker brings Alderpaw to meet the clan leaders, he notices that Alderpaw seems frightened of him and shy around the much more senior warriors. Hawkstar bends down and gives him some encouragement, “The first time I met Firestar, I was shocked. Tigerstar had told me that Firestar should be destroyed because he was a threat, but Firestar told me gently that I was shaping up to be a great warrior. That was the first time I lost trust in Tigerstar. Us leaders are just like you.”
Hawkstar notices Rowanstar’s (the new leader of ShadowClan) announcement of giving apprentices to their newest warriors. He makes a mental note that Rowanstar doesn’t seem to know how to lead his clan.
As ShadowClan loses its only medicine cat, Hawkstar asks Rowanstar in private if everything is okay in ShadowClan. Rowanstar snaps and says that they don’t need pity from RiverClan. Hawkstar tells the ShadowClan leader to remember those words.
As Darktail moves in with his rogues and attacks WindClan, Hawkstar tells his clan to be ready for anything.
When news of Darktail’s coup in ShadowClan is broken, Hawkstar is shocked to learn that Rowanstar is now a member of ThunderClan. Firestar tells him that Darktail has forced most of ShadowClan to join their group, but some managed to escape. Hawkstar sneers, “Rowanstar was driven away too easily. A pathetic leader.”
When all four clans attack the rogues, Hawkstar kills two of them, scaring most away from him, but loses a life himself.
He leaps to the aid of Rowanstar, knocking away his attacker, “You’re a pathetic leader, but still the leader of ShadowClan, gather your ranks and strike hard!”
As Onestar calls WindClan to retreat, RiverClan is forced to fight twice as hard alongside ThunderClan, as ShadowClan is nearly too weak to fight. RiverClan suffers many injuries and Hawkstar swears revenge against Onestar and Darktail.
The Kin attacks RiverClan directly, trying to take over as they did to ShadowClan. Hawkstar says he will lay down every one of his lives to stay and protect his territory and Rippletail has to physically drag him away from the conflict. “This battle is lost Hawkstar! We must regroup elsewhere!”
Four RiverClan warriors died in the battle, but Hawkstar manages to take his injured and not injured with him to ThunderClan, where Firestar takes them in with open arms.
As Onestar reveals that Darktail is his son, it takes several warriors to stop Hawkstar from killing the WindClan leader himself.
The clans fight against The Kin again and Hawkstar sees Onestar and Darktail go into the river, and not reemerge. Hawkstar dives into the river and fishes out Onestar’s body, laying it on the shore for WindClan to mourn. He claims that Darktail deserves to rot.
RiverClan returns to its own territory, burying their dead from the previous conflict. Hawkstar announces then that RiverClan will stay away from ShadowClan for the time being, to allow the broken clan to rebuild itself.
A rockslide hits the ThunderClan camp and Firestar dies saving Thornclaw’s kits.
Lionblaze becomes Lionstar and Ivypool is the new deputy of ThunderClan.
Hawkstar is initially against letting SkyClan settle with them at the lake, saying that border conflicts were already tight, even though his clan would share no borders with them.
Rowanstar asks to join Leafstar and SkyClan in exchange for the rest of their territory. Hawkstar openly calls Rowanstar weak, to which the ShadowClan leader does not respond.
As a fire spreads across RiverClan territory, Hawkstar urges his warriors into the river to wait it out. Their camp is destroyed, but no lives are lost.
Hawkstar orders most of his clan to rebuild the camp, while others are left to patrol the new SkyClan border. SkyClan cannot wrangle the former ShadowClan warriors and Hawkstar sees Rowanstar, now called Rowanclaw, sitting alone by the lakeshore.
Hawkstar is shocked to learn that after the fire, Tigerheart has become Tigerstar and is now the leader of ShadowClan. Hawkstar takes Tigerstar aside to inform him that he must keep his warriors in check, or there will be problems.
When the deathberry poisoning is revealed within the ShadowClan camp, Hawkstar kills Juniperclaw, “If your clan will not kill you for treachery, then I will.”
SkyClan finally settles between ThunderClan and ShadowClan.
Hawkstar announces that Rippletail is retired and the new deputy is Duskfur.
Since Brambleclaw died in this AU, ‘The Broken Code’ arc can’t happen, so, for now, I’ll stop this AU here.

Dark Forest -- Resembling Deaths
I'm a huge fan of the idea where if someone dies, they resemble what killed them. They won't just show the wound itself, but their body actually changes to incorporate certain signs of their death
Take Perchclaw (oc), for example.
He was bitten by a venomous snake. In the usual version of things, this is seen in the bite mark on his legs.
But in this version of death, he's the one that resembles a snake. Not obviously, no. At first glance, he looks like a cat. He has no scales, he still has his legs. He sounds like a cat, too. You're sure he is a cat. But then you keep looking at him, and you start to notice that something is off. His body is a little longer than that of a normal cat, but maybe he's just a strange breed? Are his fangs a little too sharp, and a little too long? When he eats, does his jaw open a little too wide? When he speaks, you think his tongue might be split, but you can never get a good glance--you're surely seeing things. You hear him hiss, but does it sound almost like a rattle? No, of course not. Surely you're just hearing things (though Perch was bitten by an adder, not a rattle snake, so maybe he doesn't have this part--buy his hisses could sound more like a snake's than a cat's!)
To step away from horror and into some silly, I think it'd also be funny + neat if characters show traits of what killed them in their personality as well.
Continuing with Perchclaw, imagine he just starts to LOVE sunning himself on rocks.
And also maybe he doesn't really notice when he opens his jaws too wide and doesn't understand why cats around him are freaking out.
=====
A final note to add: they wouldn't show EVERY trait of what killed them. For example, as stated, Perchclaw wouldn't have any scales, and he still has his legs. He also wouldn't have snake-vision, but could find that he can smell things easier when he opens his mouth to do it (but might not think twice about it, since tasting the air is normal).

uhhhhhh I still need to get caught up on the eyes-out and tunnel poly/family lores but ummmm
Any eyes-out cats, what's a plant that reminds you of your favorite cat/cats?
Alderstar:
I suppose it could be stated that the chrysanthemum flowers are an important representation of our family bonds.
First, Myrtlewing gave me a red chrysanthemum, which I THOUGHT was to declare his romantic feelings...It wasn't until we were dead that I found out that it was just a regular gift!
Then Perchclaw carried the tradition when he used white chrysanthemum to bond with Redwillow.
We found out later that red chrysanthemum means 'love and passion,' so technically, Myrtlewing did declare his love, just unintentionally and prematurely.
White chrysanthemum means mourning and grief...I don't think Perchclaw knew that.
------------
If you haven't read it yet , Sprouting Thorns is a great story for Eye-Out lore! You can also check out my account for bonus Eye-Out stories!
And Gorseheart's Silence contains good moments of him and his own family
