Pepi Sonuga

plays the young Athena Carter in episode 3x07, 'Athena Begins' of 911 fox. She plays Athena in her first years in the LAPD as part of the episode's flashbacks to 1989-91. She reprises that role in further flashbacks in season 8a.

Pepi was born in Lagos, Nigeria and moved to L.A. when she was 10, pursuing a career as an actress. After drama studies and work as a model, she landed a role in the 2013 drama, 'The Life Of A King' (with Cuba Gooding). She appeared in much of season 3 of 'The Fosters' (opposite Noah Centineo and our very own Danny Nucci who also plays a co-worker of Athena's in 911 fox).

Pepi acted in and produced 'Welcome to Daisyland', a horror anthology series released in 2019. After appearing in 911 fox, Pepi starred in the TV series 'Queens' and in the biopic 'Pam & Tommy'. [see images below left and right]

She was part of a star-studded cast in the WWII film 'Six Triple Eight'.

CATCHING MY BREATH, STARING OUT AN OPEN WINDOW

Dessa Iri is based on Iridessa from Disney Fairies. She is a 27 year old fairy, apprentice electrician, and uses she/her pronouns. She has the power of light bending and flight. Dessa is portrayed by Pepi Sonuga and she is taken.

CATCHING MY DEATH, AND I COULDN’T BE SURE

Dessa loved her life in Pixie Hollow. Why wouldn't she? She had wonderful friends, an important job, a beautiful little house surrounded by flowers, and sunshine at her fingertips. Not once had she ever wanted for anything more, content where she was, so waking up in Evermore was a nightmare at best. She was breaking down in panic when she crossed paths with a few familiar faces and was reassured she wasn't alone, and not the only one confused about how she ended up there. It took Dessa a bit longer than her friends, it seemed, to get used to the idea of settling down in a town overrun with humans. She didn't like the idea of having to keep her talent and her wings a secret, but she certainly didn't like the idea of people finding out what she was. The last thing she needed was to end up in a museum. There were admittedly good parts, more freedom and the ability to try new things... though new things were, unfortunately, more scary than exciting for Dessa. Too much change, too much unknown, and too much worry that she was making bad decisions now living a life that was more for her than mother nature. Electricity was a field that both made sense for her to go into with her powers, and also terrified her. She was an anxious person who worried about herself and her coworkers every time they were involved with a serious job, knowing that one mistake was enough to cause injury. But it was the only direction she knew to pursue. Personally, Dessa hoped she was out of this town long before her apprenticeship ended, but on the chance there was no solution awaiting them, she could not accept not having a plan.

❀ Frankie Hale: Dessa hates the way Frankie talks about themself. She thinks there is so much to appreciate, and she is determined to make them see it eventually, even if it takes sitting down and writing a whole long list of reasons. ❀ Jesus Ramirez: She met Soos when the gift shop he worked at was having issues with their power. He's such a sweet guy, and one of few people she feels like probably wouldn't be a threat if he knew what she really was. ❀ Dash Parr: He's... so much. To put it nicely. Dessa thinks he's friendly and an all around good person, but his energy leaves her feeling exhausted after even short conversations.

Laith Wallschleger

Unleashed from the 133 ambulance like an ever-ready CPR medic machine, Laith appeared all too briefly on our 911 screens in episode 6x15 'Death and Taxes'. He takes over CPR from Athena at the scene. His character is sadly unnamed, characterised only as Paramedic #1. [Gifset of his scene here]

Laith is from Virginia, USA and was a student athlete at the University of Delaware. He began his career in TV after retirement from the NFL. He was a model, stunt guy (e.g. on Euphoria), and has appeared in several short films and TV series such as The Rookie, NCIS.
