Me: ~treat others how I’d like to treated, reminding them of the deadline 6 weeks ahead, 3 weeks, 2 weeks ahead~

Them: radiosilence

Me: hey uh, the deadline is next week, can we make sure we’re on the same page about this scientific poster that you’re allegedly first author on before I print it?

Them: radiosilence

Me: okay I’m printing it today, Thursday, just in case something goes wrong, because I need to make sure this poster gets to Barcelona on Tuesday where there is no onsite printing at the conference… what is wrong with you Europe

Them: radiosilence

Them Friday afternoon, before Tuesday morning deadline: oh I didn’t realize the deadline was coming up! Can you send me the poster

Me: ….. okay *sends fifth copy*

Them: Oh here are some (minor, nitpicky, nonsubstantive) edits. They are really important! I have an MD so everything I say matters even though I didn’t lift a finger for all the analyses here! You must make these edits!

Me: it’s kind of late to do that, I already printed, it cost a bunch of money

Them: you sent reminders about the deadline too early!

Me: how about next time instead of sending reminders I kill you

saw a post that was basically like 'Nicola and JB and LT all have done audiobooks which are quick and easy ways for an actor to make some money so why doesn't Luke Newton do it since he has nothing going on?' and I just

1: he DOES have stuff going on? he is still filming Bton? he was at SAG? Boss? Meetings for lord knows how many or what auditions?

2: taking time off is GOOD, actually

and 3: wow, Debra, I DO SO WONDER why an actor who has been outspoken about having dyslexia and how he has had to advocate for himself against ableism in the entertainment industry just for a script reading, let alone a several hundred page novel, might not have a contract for an audiobook. SUCH a conundrum.

People hate on Light for many many (mostly valid) reasons, but you can't deny that he's so incredibly organized and so determined to handle most things by himself that being his admin or his receptionist or his assistant would probably be a dream

Being a Severance fan is so amusing to me because I used to think for a long time that I couldn't write meta posts anymore because I am old and exhausted and I'd rather talk about it out loud with friends and family because that's faster, but actually.............turns out you can't shut me tf up if I love something.

#this is where i out myself to people who haven't followed me pre-2021 or whenever the year was #when i last wrote mcu meta #i would write obnoxiously and unnecessarily long posts about mcu characters and i just COULD NOT after tfatws/wandavision #because i wrote long posts out of excitement or great annoyance but both emotions came from #me loving marvel a lot (that's why i was so harsh and critical! because it could be better!)#and then the infinity saga ended and idgaf about 99.99999% of post-endgame stuff #the opposite of love isn't it's indifference blah blah blah #the only reason why i didn't write huge paragraphs of succession meta #at least all the time because i still did it sparingly was because i was lazy af and burned out #and because succ fandom has exceptionally bright and witty people and they said everything i could ever say about a topic #and usually twenty times better too #everything would be dissected to its atoms so there wasn't much to pick at after going through everyone's succ tags #and reblogging and liking stuff although occasionally i spewed some stuff out #by the later seasons i regained my energy a bit more so that's where the long posts and tags came back #and now there's severance :)#i'm still not writing 92837593275932 posts because i'm older and more tired now #but i'm back with my overly verbose posts baby!!!!! because i care!

i actually love the comeback of bucket hats and mom jeans and big glasses and fanny packs and clunky shoes personally. i was born to dress like a dorky tourist from the 90s

#ever since middle school i have tried to follow trends and felt fundamentally like i qas doing it wrong and it didn't work when i did it #i couldn't pull it off it was forced and dumb even when i dressed and did my hair exactly like everyone else #so i gave up on being trendy bc it was never fun and didn't work #but i was so excited when mom jeans came back bc they're actually comfy then i saw cool fashionable people w fanny packs and i was like :0 #no way!!#then i found a cute floral bucket hat at goodwill and i was like hm why not and it actually rocks ngl #i finally got a new pair of glasses bc of headaches and i went ahead and got some big af 90s looking ones and they actually look good on me?#i know im lowkey dressing like a high schooler now but im finally having fun with my clothes and enjoying the way i look #also i got a haircut and its a bit retro and fun and finally my hair isnt in my face bc i tried bangs and i actually look nice for once #also the great thing abt the dorky 90s tourist style is its really practical and easy #like im comfortable and i have storage and my hair looks good no matter what with zero maintenance #i still dont wear makeup ever tho lol #but im glad there's finally a way to be fun and fashionable for lazy dorky people lol #i know some people complain abt the bucket hats and fanny packs and stuff but idc im having fun finally #this has been a shitpost
