It was done. Physically, Penny was uncomfortable, but the relief she felt in knowing it was done, that the thing she'd been so fearful of was no longer growing inside of her, outweighed the discomfort. All of that paled in comparison, however, to how uncomfortable she knew Brody felt, and while the love she'd once felt for him had changed over the years, she still cared about him, she still hated knowing she was ripping out his heart like this. Neither of them had spoken a word since leaving the clinic, and they'd been driving a while already, Penny staring out of the window so as not to have to look at her husband. Eventually, however, the tension in the vehicle became too thick for her to ignore, and she turned toward the driver's side, her heart shattering all over again at the sight of him. "I'm sorry," she finally whispered, because what else was there to say? What was left for them now?

Alex Washington

It has been a long couple of days. Stuck here, with little interaction from the outside. Alex was going crazy. He hated being stuck with his own thoughts for too long. He liked being busy and this was the opposite of busy. And on top of all of this of course he had to have a broken wrist during an earthquake. His injury was doing ok. But after the initial shocks and falling to the ground during the tremors had not beent the most comfortable of situations. Plus after a few days confinde to this space with no pain killers he was beginning to really feel it. He took shelter in one of the offices. Leant against the desk with a big sigh as be nursed is arm. The creek of the door was the only thing to altert him to the presence of someone else coming into the room.

Penny Sylvester

Oh. [Penny pauses as her eyes land on Alex. She hesitates, considering walking back out, but eventually decides against it.] I was just looking for some more blankets. [She closes the door behind her.] Some more people just showed up. You good?(edited)

Alex Washington

[Startled at the sudden intrusion Alex turns quickly. Still gripping his broken wrist. Seeing none other than Penny Sylvester in the doorway] "Penster! I'm surprised you're talking to me." [A little sarcastic from their last text interation. Alex points down the hall. The last thing he needed was Penny to see him like this] "I think theres a room full of them down the hall" [Alex stands and turns towards her at the sound of the door closing] I saw. More people in this madhouse. [Alexs waves his arms round dramatically as he does of course angering his wrist in the process causing him to wince a little] Oh sure i'm good. How are you holding up?

Penny Sylvester

Why wouldn't I be talking to you? [She busies herself with her task, but pauses as she notes the look on his face.] Are you okay? Is it your wrist?

Alex Washington

I dont know how about going radio silent on me for a while. [Alex tries to play it off as a bit of a joke but he is annoyed. With a sigh he responds frustratingly] It turns out having a broken wrist and earthquakes dont mix that well. But its fine. ill live. I would just appreciate my pain meds. But of course we are locked in here
