Inspired by the Warrior!Penelope AU, @maggie44paint's Malewife Menelaus AU & @theblindgoddess + DaughterOfDungeonBat's Penelope of Troy AU.

So instead of Helen, Paris chooses Odysseus, thinking he's the safer option because he's just the king of small, barren Ithaca & super smart. Baby Telemachus is also spirited away as extra leverage.

Paris thinks he's being cunning, hoping this choice can somewhat ease Athena's wrath as well.

At first, Athena is furious....but then she gives the go-ahead for 3 reasons.

Odysseus will give Paris hell.

Hera will give Paris hell.

This one is important: Penelope will give Paris hell.

Paris tells himself he's doing Penelope a favour! Now she can find another, more powerful husband & have another kid with him. Plus, she's a woman with a tiny kingdom, it's not like she'll come knocking on Troy's walls.

Newsflash: a furious Penelope comes pounding on Troy's walls with a vengeance.

(Bonus if she isn't even being backed by Ares here. Oh no, all that unstoppable rage is 100% pure Penelope.)

In Olympus, Hera & Athena are cackling and high-fiving over a bucket of popcorn. In Troy, Ody is going full Mission Impossible, being a monster (rawr rawr rawr) to Paris, mapping out servant passages, calculating how much cloth it'll take to make a long enough rope & hoarding tiny paper scraps and crumbs for bird feeding.

He goes all: Yes, I need more clothes. It's not my fault my clothes keep ripping. *wink wink*. Oh, I'm not supposed to be here? Silly me, I'm hopeless without Athena's wisdom now! Look at the cute birdie, little wolf! *slips a message onto them while his son's buried under feathers*

Athena is very proud of her master liar.

Bonus:

Hector & Ody ironically become good friends because they're both dads and loving husbands. Hector tells himself he will NOT get attached to the man who's singlehandedly screwed him, his family & Troy over......only to pat the guy's back as he sobs for the nth time over missing his wife. It's hard not to empathize with him & feel a little sorry for the kid who doesn't even remember his mom.

And maybe when Hector senses that the end is coming, he & Andromache ask Ody to take Astyanax with him. He won't have a future in Troy, but it's better than no future, period.

Thus, Penelope returns to Ithaca with her family one member bigger than before.

Episode 9- Hot and Cold Pt 1

The first date up with Blaze and boy did homeboy mess it up terribly. Out of no where Blaze started being mean to Penny for absolute no reason. Then Penny and him started being mean to one another to the point he had negative romance with her :/ Despite the date being awkward Blaze offered a white flag and they spent the rest of the date stargazing. Which meant they were able to salvage a bit of their romantic relationship. On the other hand, Penny had been so antsy to go on her solo date with Zaddy Darius. Our girl is so DOWN BAD for him. She was flirting with him and feeding him all dinner. They learned a lot about one another like, Darius now understands where Penny's rage/jealousy comes from (she told him about cain/vinny) and she learned a bit about his late wife. Maybe it was the champagne or her horniness but Penny invited Darius into her bedroom and in the middle of the nasty she confessed that she liked him a lot.... she's now so embarrassed and honestly, same girl. @aniraklova @rasoyas

TW: Implied Bad Caretaker and Pet Whump

Caretaker frowned as he listened to his friends happily discuss the pets they have at home.

It was all they’ve been talking about lately, and he was starting to feel left out. Even Carewhumper now had one.

They all made it seem as if it was the best thing ever. Having a precious pet you can call your own and have your way with.

Allegedly, it was a really big job. You’d have to be really serious about this before deciding to get a pet. Though from what he’s seen, you really didn’t. He’s heard stories about people who kept their pets for a short period of time on a complete whim before giving them up. It infuriated Caretaker, knowing that those poor pets have to get used to a new home all over again because their owners were irresponsible.

Tonight, he decided to ask more about it.

When everyone else left, Carewhumper and Whumper stayed to have a quiet chat over more wine. Caretaker hesitated before walking back into the sitting room, taking his earlier seat.

“There he is.” Whumper smiled crookedly. “We were just thinking about you.”

He only hummed absentmindedly. “I have… a question. For both of you.”

“Really?” Carewhumper lit up in a way that made him want to shift uncomfortably.

“Yes… I was wondering about…your pets.”

The two immediately turned serious, staring at him silently.

“I was curious. I want a pet too.”

mmmmmore of that disciple shen yuan fic i've jumped into writing, because I thought this scene was funny and wanted to share.

His features hint at a marble sharpness though, he twists his neck left to right, eyes locked on and zeroed in on the curve of his cheekbones, the angle of his brows, and the point of his nose. There’s a certain sort of— of regality, he thinks? The elegance of an imposing statue, the saints of Notre Dame looking down from their pedestals as if asking, ‘how dare you insult me with your presence’. Shen Qingqiu lets his face fall into a neutral expression, and all it does is highlight the subtle condescension and complete disinterest his face naturally wants to make. 

In short, Shen Qingqiu has the meanest resting bitch face he’s ever seen on a thirteen year old. 

Even one who looks pointedly exhausted and like he went camping without a tent. His messy hair and the thin streaks of blood he hadn’t managed to crust off earlier does nothing to even dissuade such a look; it’s as if they weren’t even there. 

Experimentally, Shen Qingqiu scrunches his nose up, and his face reflects back at him as if he’d smelt something foul. Weird, he thinks, and keeps the expression still as he traces his fingers across the faint grooves of his skin. After a moment, he drops the look, and shifts his mouth into a scowl, just to see what it would look like. 

It’s about as vicious and as menacing as he was expecting. 

Then he smiles, and it looks painful. It looks, well, blatantly forced. The lips pulled too far back, his teeth showing too much, and his eyes squinted slightly and cold. As if someone had stuck their fingers into the corners of his mouth and forced him to smile rather than him doing it of his own free will.  

Immediately, he drops the smile and it folds back into its disinterested neutral look. I look like I’m going to eat a child, he thinks, probably for the best that I don’t smile.
